We just came back from a two night stay and it was great. Weve stayed here a number of times in the past.If you want to relax, Quail Lodge & Golf Club is a really nice place to stay. Theres only 93 guestrooms and each have a private deck or patio that overlooks the golf course, lake or gardens. Our room overlooked the golf course and was really nice and peaceful. Because there arent too many rooms, you can walk around without seeing too many people if any at all. There are firepits in different areas and theres a swimming pool and fitness center. On one side of the Lodge theres a nine hole putting green and its challenging. You can borrow a putter & golf balls. In the Lodge is The Covey restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food is very good! Theres a nice outside deck with dining tables overlooking the lake. You can also go to Edgars restaurant at the golf course.All the employees were really nice! Pets are also allowed and you do self parking.I would ask for a room the furthest away from Carmel Valley Road so that you dont hear the traffic.We will return.

We had a last minute emergency and needed to cancel the reservation the day of our arrival. Karlson helped us out and canceled the booking free of charge and so that we could go ahead and rebook on another day. I really appreciate the service and look forward to our stay on the new date!

The hotel is beautiful. I gave 1 star because 1/ there were serious safety risks on site (ended up going into ER during my stay), 2/ the hotel staff handled the situation poorly.Details- There were some hidden potholes in the putting area for draining. I stepped on one of them the night I arrived, sprained my ankle, and had to go to ER because it hurt too much.My husband reported the issue to the front desk later that night. Next day, I received a phone call from the hotel manager asking if I was feeling ok. I asked for a wheel chair or a golf cart so that I could go around more easily. He said there was no wheelchair available and he’d check with the golf department to see if they could lend me a golf cart. I didn’t hear from him for 30 min so I called back- then he told me he couldn’t lend me anything due to liability reasons. I personally did not believe he checked with anyone based on his response.I was so mad so I went to the office to confront him (with crutches) - he then told me suddenly a wheelchair was available for me. Unbelievable. It took an injured customer > 1 hour and came all the way to the office for them to lend a wheelchair. He did check in on me twice afterwards and offered some wine, but it felt much of an aftermath to cover for himself rather than a genuine act of care.I also asked to speak to his managers. The two directors I spoke with were apparently well trained and very polite. However they only offered to cover my room upgrade for $200 (when I spent $3k on ER) and I had to call / came to office to see them. I didn’t end up taking the coverage as I would like to reserve my right for future litigations in case the injury got worsened.The entire experience was frustrating. I understand the staff must have been terrified with customers’ injuries and might have not dealt with it in the past. But no one showed genuine care during this entire experience. Everyone was trying to avoid trouble and did the bare minimum to prevent escalations. Most importantly, after I spoke with them so many times, no one did anything about the potholes.I’m writing this review with pictures because I hope the hotel can take this seriously. I’m tired of spending my vacation talking to the management chain, so I’m leaving this documentation for future customers and for the hotel to take action.

Stayed overnight for our anniversary. The room was very nice and the views are always amazing. Right in our backyard, so we stay here when we can.

Played an amazing round of golf here on a Friday morning. The opening staff was very friendly, informative, and accommodating. The course was in incredible shape, you can tell they take pride in conditions. Overall great round, very scenic, and was not crowded. Looking forward to staying & playing here next visit to the area!

There were some bugs in the room since the door opens to nature. The back patio also opens to a mini courtyard to relax in.

Of the beaten path. Very quiet and nice place.The rooms are ample, and the bedding is comfortable.The staff is friendly and helpful.If u like golf, they have a nice court.Across the street, there are more easy food options and great wine

Love it here, very friendly, staffed welcoming everything satisfying the rooms were very clean. I got a charger for my phone. I couldn’t ask for a better lodge.

The room and golf course were great, but the service, not so much. I made a reservation for the tennis courts, and when I showed up, they had me playing on the pickleball area, which isnt marked for tennis, and I couldnt play a proper game. I expressed my frustration, but not even a simple apology. In the morning, I went to the restaurant to grab a tea and a cup of water. The lady making my drink had a sour face the entire time. As I was leaving, I took a sip of my tea only to find out she had just given me hot water. I had to turn back to ask her for the tea bags, and again, not even a simple sorry. As for the cup of water, she gave me a cup filled up only halfway. Additionally, I had breakfast by the driving range, and my server NEVER came to check on me, while I noticed the other tables had servers coming to make sure everything was ok. The only good service experience was in the evening for dinner when Juan was my server

This has been one of my favorite lodge/hotel.They called to confirm 3 days prior, and asked what was the occasion of the visit. If were celebrating anything.. I told them it was my partners birthday. And then asked if I needed anything else.After we got to the room, the outside had no connection to what the inside was like.. the outside is very lodgy and cozy. The inside of the room was RUGE!! And you had every emenity.. from bath robes, slippers, to even emergency lights. The fireplace and the TV were on.. and we walk in, and theres a mylar birthday balloon by the desk. Underneath it was a BIG slice of birthday cake for 2, with spoons plates, and 2 candles already in the cake.My girlfriend was so excited and surprised, and when she blew out the candle they turned to be trick candles that light up again, which she never had. So it was one surprise after another with this place.The service was impeccable, the food at the restaurant was stellar. We would to stayed a week if we could.Definitely coming back here!
