Had such an amazing and easy experience with David! My husband and I needed to get a large storage unit as soon as possible and David made that happen instantly. Our storage space was broken into. 3 pieces of luggage were stolen. 1 piece of luggage was ripped open & all clothes were lying scattered. Boxes were broken into & damaged.Got to know that There is no sensor to track when door was opened as was requested by Irvine PD. The lock was not broken, which again left us amazed.Also 1 of the associates named Cristina was extremely rude, unprofessional & seems like she hates Indians. She was not willing to listen & was very unfair in her dealing.All other associates were very professional & helpful.We sincerely hope the culprit is brought to justice as its all very stressful & particularly some of the items were priceless memories.The insurance claim is again a long process (even though we have been paying for it the last 3 yrs)

The Public storage on Cowan is the utmost worst. Our bill went from approx $180 a month to $400 a month. I need to transfer the unit ownership over to another and have been given the complete run around. I was told by one employee that it was impossible to do. Then I was told by another that whoever told me no, was being lazy. I show up with the other person to do the transfer and of course the office person decided to leave without leaving any type of notice on the door as when they can be expected back. What a waste of my time. I left a message and received a call back 40 minutes later. I show up yet again to transfer the account only to be told that the new owner would be billed twice if we transfer today. I am beyond irate. I have been there multiple times since December with no resolution.

This storage facility is super clean and in a very safe area. I forgot my keys (or so I thought I did) when I went to move out. Bryanna did everything she could to help me fix the issue. Got a storage unit over the weekend from Susana Oliver (floating manager). First of all, when she called to set up a time to meet, she was so nice and knowledgeable. I told her I’d come in later that evening and called to confirm that I’ll be there. She was pleasant, professional and even brought over the moving cart they have so that I can load everything in one shot. She had to get it from the other side of the storage buildings and did with a huge smile. The next day I had to come back to bring more stuff. I told her I’d be there in the evening as well. She went out of her way to call me and make sure I make it in because they closed at 5pm on Sunday. I was going to show up at 5! That was so nice of her. If she hadn’t done that, I would’ve had to wait until the following weekend to bring the rest of our stuff. When I came in on Sunday, I asked to swap my unit for another since the lock latch was kind of messed up on the first one I had reserved. She did it, no problem. She also brought the cart AGAIN for us. She was kind, professional, knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the whole experience. Especially because, when you are coming to a storage unit, you’re usually spring cleaning or organizing, and really tired. It’s usually the last step you take right before your project is done. She made everything so easy. Thank you so much Susana.

Unfortunately we had to vacate our unit due to personal reasons, and even though we lost our keys (our fault entirely) everyone at Public Storage like Manny and Adam were so willing to go the extra mile to make sure our every need was met. The facility is about what youd expect - these places are all the same... EXCEPT, Ive never rented one before with such inconvenient gate hours. 9:30-5 on weekends and 9:30-6 on weekdays. Cant go before work, cant go after work. If you are even 1 minute after 5PM leaving the facility you get an electronic warning email and a text. Would not recommend if you are employed and are trying to move yourself on your own time.

They close way to early 5/6 pm. Very unconvenient makes it hard to grab items out of storage. I was having issues with the app where it wasnt letting my payments go through. Called and found out you can not do a payment over the phone, but instead, you have to go personally and make the payment. Very confusing process all throughout. They dont even have a cart of some sort to help move some items around. 🙄

Manny and Adam really know how to keep their customers content. Everytime i come to pay i get greeted and welcomed, and they know me by my nickname here already. I always see them cleaning and during these trying times, they are working with their customers on discounting rent and offering great sign up deals! Just got my unit here via ERENTAL it was so simple smooth and easy and I suggest everyone to do so as it as easy as 1, 2, 3 and BAM! I got my unit and it came with a light inside. We get an email stating As a benefit to our customers, we routinely do the rounds to make sure each space is properly locked. During our recent inspection, we found that Space XXXX was unlocked or improperly locked. Unfortunately, we can’t lock your space for you. Horrible company to rent with!There is no one at the property to help me when I visit, and when I call to try to talk to somebody at the property, I get sent to voice mail and get no call backs. I even try to call customer service to help me with my rental increase and all I get is rejection after rejection with no sympathy of what is going on in my life and how I can barely pay what Im paying now.Its bad enough that I already OVER PAY for the unit that Im renting now by $200 ($300 with the rent increase) when I can just move into the same unit, for the same size, right next to me.Why would you increase my rental when nothing has changed to improve the facility? Theres no one in the office for me to speak to on the property, no security or safety measures in place to secure everyones belongings, and now I have to pay more for less? This is ridiculous.

Ive used this storage for almost 2 years and first they seem to care and are nice to you but when you try to reach them, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get help or communicate since there is no one at the office nor on the line. Ive used different Public Storage locations yet this one was the worst experience. Wood floors, old and no strong AC. It works for the price but if you need to frequently go and check your stuff or just to even talk to the property manager, you will have a hard time. Needs more staff or someone on site at least.

Today we rented a large storage unit from Emmanuel at Public Storage. The unit seems OK, although it has 2 large water stains on the wood floor near the door so I dont know if we will have water intrusion or mold problems there. Emmanuel was polite and knowledgeable, but you should be ready for MAJOR UPSELLS when you go in there!! He said we have to buy their type of lock so we did even though we brought 2 of our own with us, and we could not rent the unit without immediate insurance coverage - purchased directly from them for a minimum of $11/month. All they had to do was tell us that before we showed up for our appointment so that we would have known ALL the costs in advance, rather than springing it on us at the time we rented the unit. Since nothing was mentioned about that in advance, we showed up with a moving truck with our things and were surprised to be required to buy a different lock and overpriced insurance on the spot, feeling a bit ripped off. But we have already notified AAA and learned that storage unit coverage is of course already provided through our renters insurance policy for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE and have added it so we can cancel the Public Storage insurance next month. I dont know - definitely didnt keep the moisture off of the floor in there!). So, overall, the facility seems OK and Emmanuel is polite, but we didnt appreciate being forced to buy another lock and insurance on the spot when we werent told in advance these exact things would be required at the time of renting so that we could have arranged for them in advance. Despite the fact we spent more money than what cost was represented to us in advance, we are hoping things will go well and our belongings will be protected while were there!!

After using Public Storage many times over many years, my experience at this location will bring an end to my relationship with them for good. Where to begin..the place is filthy. I have to air my things out for several days to get the smell out. I dont think anyone has taken a mop to the floors in years. Rate hikes every 6 months without fail. There was a security breach last year and access was severely reduced without any notification. Mangers passed the buck to corporate, who never bothered to return calls or emails. They never once communicated their plans for hours going forward over the course of six months (the time it took to implement a security system!) They sure know where to find me when they want to increase my rent tho. Of course, the next rate hike came, undoubtedly to pay for this heightened security, which by the way, they never bothered to tell anyone how to use. Bankers hours dont work for storage units, and if there was to be a change in hours, professionalism and due diligence dictates that they should have notified us. I cant remember how many times I drove over there to not be able to do what I needed to. For me, the lack of professionalism and total disregard for my time is a deal breaker. Managers used to be nice, now they are grumpy every time. Oh yes, and after all that security nonsense, vagrants continue to simply walk through the gate behind my car. Yup, so once I manage to get there during open hours, I have to turn around and leave anyway.

There was a problem with the gate and the facility apparently used that as an excuse to cut opening hours back to 9:30am. Despite assurances that the old opening time would return, it remains the same. They close intermittently without notice except a sign on the door even though they have email and telephone numbers, they forward you to the district manager to leave a message and a return call has never happened. If anyone needs storage for a couple months this is the place to be! They made moving so easy, and helped you with any questions you may have. I dont like the business aspect, but the service was amazing! 5 stars for the service Sadik & Masoma . They were nice honest people and found me the best price possible. However there were some flaws about this place for instances the pricing were a bit high but lucky i got a storage unit during the memorial day special so i only had to pay $60 a month for a 5x10 unit. Which was a killer deal. But beware of the hidden fees the company charges, $22 for an admin expense for setting everything up, $22 for a lock ( you must buy their locks), and also dont buy the moving boxes and packing supplies here, they are way too overpriced. At home depot you can get the same box for a quarter of the price. For a company that specializes in moving and storage units, you got to have way cheaper prices than the competition. (in my opinion) Also you may want to wash down the street, parts of the street when i was walking had a foul smell. Also the neighboring units next to each other looked like it was divided by a thin piece of drywall so it looks easy to break into not sure if it was with all the units but i wouldnt feel safe holding anything to valuables in there. I wish there was a trash bin near by incase you have something you no longer wanted. other than that I would have given the business 2.5 stars but the service is what got the 5 stars.- Kevin
