Moved my daughters house full of stuff in there. We got a huge space for $99 a month and 1st month was a dollar. Sarah and Brianna were very friendly, explained the times they were open, the payment process, and got us a cart to help shuffle the truck loads of Stuff in to the unit. It felt very safe and secure there. I would definitely use this place again if I ever need a storage unit

Decent place, but not accessible without electricity.Its a decent place to store your things, in fair weather conditions. But as soon as the electricity goes out, not even employees have access to anything and youre locked out of your unit. A PIN pad is the only means to get to the units.On October the 4th 2023, it turns out that this place had a power outage for about two or three days. An employee present that day, standing outside stated that it had been like that for two days. And Im not sure when the power was restored. The employee didnt even have access to the side entrance. So even if your unit is outside you still cant get to your things.Im disappointed about the lack of foresight and backup access. I highly suggest you add a means of getting in the old fashioned way, namely key.If you wish to have guaranteed access to your items dont store them here.

Don’t get ripped off. Worst experience using this company. I showed up during business hours to move in and no one was there. I had to go to a different company who handled my business much more professionally. These people issued a refund for not even the cost of the monthly rental. They gave me back $21 dollars and I paid $79 to move in. Waste of time and money. I called to get my full refund talked to several people and they were very unprofessional and wouldn’t help.

Updated review:Dont believe a word this company says. Your monthly payment will be racked up almost a hundred bucks give or take, without you even knowing it. They lock you out, charge you lien fees, late fees, rent and schedule an auction for your unit after 2 months. They cut your lock off and make you pay $20 for one of theirs to get back into your storage AFTER paying your rent and the fees. They close at 5:00 but on the weekends theyre open until 6:00. Hows anyone supposed to have time to go through, drop off, or pick up anything from their storage if they work a regular 9 to 5 job? The only reason theyve listened to me and what I was going through and why I couldnt even get over to my storage at all, was because I left them a bad review on their Google page, and they wanted me to change it. The employee who works at the counter was actually nice and said she was going to try to work with them and get all the fees taken off. That still left the payment I still owed almost $300, now over 400$ and that was only being late a couple months. First month may only be a dollar but then it racks up to 60 and then before you know it youre almost at 100 and I had no clue. The person who my space which is B191, BY THE WAY will auction out to is going to be very disappointed because all it is now are some blankets, some clothes and some candles, along with some Christmas ornaments and decorations my daughters and I made together. Have fun with that mr storage thief. You guys all should be ashamed of yourselves selling and buying peoples lives. Luckily, I had managed to get the rest of my stuff, that was worth anything to anyone else, out before they locked me out again. I know people who have been behind 6 months at other companies and never had to go up for auction. Shame on you guys for treating people like that. Alot of people use their storages to keep their most important and valuable possessions that mean the world to them. I would review you guys a zero if I could and obviously I cant. So definitely a big fat 1 and Im going to share this on Google, on my Facebook pages and spread awareness by word of mouth. People should not have to deal with companies like this..the storage unit Im specifically to is the one on Tupelo drive in Citrus Heights, CA. They are horrible and do not trust his company. ONCE AGAIN MY UNIT IS NUMBER B191 FOR THE PERSON ABOUT TO BUY IT.. YOURE BUYING THE LAST FEW SENTIMENTAL ITEMS I HAVE LEFT. Have fun with a few girl clothes, blankets, Christmas ornaments, and very used candles. I hope you didnt waste too much money on my memories. My friend and I were looking for a storage unit to move stuff to that day. I submitted a reservation online and I immediately received a call from Mekala, who discussed the promotions and sizes they had. She was amazing, caring, very friendly, knowledgeable and listened to my needs. I then received a call from Capri, who manages Citrus Heights location off of Tupelo. Let her know I wanted to see the different sizes they had available. She told us to come right in. As soon as I walked in to the office she greeted us with a big smile and took us to see the units. I chose the unit that worked for me and immediately signed up. Capri took the time to explain everything to me to make sure I understood everything that was in the agreement. When we came back to load stuff in the unit, had issues with the lock and the key broke. The place was about to close and I did not know what I was going to do. Luckily for me, Capri worked her magic and found another unit and we were able to get everything in to the new unit just in time before they closed. I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for me. She went above and beyond and provided the best customer service I have ever experienced. I wish there were a lot more people around like her. Thank you Capri for everything. If anyone needs a storage unit, I will refer them to you. You are the best!!!!

Wow! Capri was amazing. I was just expecting to get a regular storage unit and a regular transaction. when I walked in Capri greeted us with a very warm welcome and helped us get into the storage even on her lunch break, came down to help us on a unit far away …because the door was stuck, turns out I just needed to pull the door harder. Thank you Capri! We will definitely remember her and hope she is doing well. Also thank you public storage for the online easy access backed by a nice human to help.

Tried to enter our unit on June 23rd and my lock was no longer on my unit got the manager to come over and she said the lock on it wasn’t their lock, proceeded to put another lock on it and said I had to wait 3 days to get it cut off. I wanted to know why there was a lock on it that wasn’t theirs and I wanted my unit opened right then. She refused to go into the office and pull up my account, stating “I don’t know what you think that’s going to do, I don’t know what’s in his storage.” She called about an hour later saying call her back ASAP so I figured she wanted me to come back so they could open my unit. She asked had I been on the property, knowing good and well we were, you were at the unit with us, told us the lock on there was not theirs, and “that’s scary” but wouldn’t go try to find out why my lock is gone and a lock not theirs is on there. I don’t even know if the things are in the storage unit at this point. suspicious activity. Lack of concern about “scary” incident.Went back today, Saturday, 25th. I asked the employee to look and see if she could see we had been there Thursday, she told us every day he had been there, with the times. And Just as suspected, CLEANED OUT!! Left an empty drill box, water can and insurance brochure. And SWEPT the unit!!Another update:The police went to view the camera footage and was told they only keep it for the last 30 days. The unit was emptied out in less than 2 months. That just brings it back to why didn’t the manager go into the office the day it was noticed 06/23/2022 that it was not their lock on our unit? And I requested she do that and she refused. She knew the police should have been called right then. She FAILED US! SHE FAILED AT HER JOB. And I am 100% convinced she was a part of our things being STOLEN! Well over $5000.00 of belongings .

I recently rented a 5x10 at this location. This was my first time renting a storage unit and had no clue what I was doing. I was helped by Alyssa she greeted me as soon as I walked in and was very helpful. She asked me what I was storing to help her get an idea on what size to get. After hearing what I was storing she suggested a 5x10. When I seen unit it was perfect. That showed me that Alyssa knew what she was doing.she offered be boxed and packing supplies. The only thing I didnt like was the hours of accessing. But Alyssa attitude and customer service made up for it. Only suggestion for property is a little more lighting. Just moved in but so far Im very satisfied. Easy to access info, including rates, and reserve online and the manager called me within 10 min of making the reservation to introduce herself. Only took about 10 min to get assigned my unit and all the paperwork. Manager Kelly was very helpful and friendly - so far Im very impressed! Prices are very reasonable too.

She helped me go over all I needed for my storage, the correct size, and was very friendly and personable. I absolutely love love love!! This location Ive lived all over California and the customer service I get at this location is the best!! Alysa is so nice and sweet, makes me feel like Ive known her forever. I only go when shes there because my last few encounters with the others are not as accommodating they are cool but just regular. When I am trusting a place with my prize possessions I just expect a little bit more welcoming attitudes exact the type Alysa has. Oh and I love the fact that I dont have to worry about roaches or rats! And Ive been renting here for about 6 months with the season and weather changes and all, this location is by far one of the cleanest!

I found myself at the mercy of the California EDD Bank of America fiasco. Like many of Californias newly unhoused humans relying on UI benefits, Bank of Americas EDD fraud bots decided it was best to freeze my account with no explanation. Somewhere around 4 months into my lifes implosion I was able to get some of my mail from my former roommate...Within this stack of collection notices and offers from the areas tribal casinos I found a couple bank statements and a couple notices from the public storage racketeers informing me that my recent payments were declined. Oh and btw we sold everything you owned for $500. Oh and btw you still owe us $300......All things considered I find the whole situation a little bit eff-ed up...

I was very surprised as the location has been cleaned up nicely and the manager Kelly was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have 5 storage units to operate my companys equipment from. In doing so I spend quite a bit of time at this property working there Monday-Friday 8-5. While here the property is well maintained from keeping up trash to carts conveniently placed to aid in moving your stuff. Great place to be! Behind the scenes doing all the hard work is good ol Dave. Hes always there to greet you with a smile and help you find moving supplies if needed. The 6380 Tupelo dr. Citrus Heights California location has locked us out of the B complex for multiple days telling us that they can’t unlock the doors because the solar company who installed solar “left them hanging like that” even though there is a key on the door they say “they don’t have a key”. I’ve called customer service multiple times and literally no solutions. I’ve asked them why they don’t just get a locksmith to open the door for their customers and they say they can’t do that.I’ve asked them to compensate my bill for the days I’m unable to gain access to my units, they also say that they probably won’t do that because it’s a rent at your own risk public storage!

Im very disappointed with this business. Ive stored my stuff here for about 3 or 4 years. Everything was great in the beginning, great rate, great customer service and very helpful. I started out paying $49 a month for a 5 x 10 (small unit) and occasionally I would be late on a payment because of the due date and my pay day schedule, so naturally I knew I would have to pay a $10 late fee. I never complained. A man that works there called me to tell me about my payment and I just didnt have the extra $10 at the time. He was very sweet and told me if I go online and just pay the regular amount, minus the $10 he would then go in and waive the late fee! I was so grateful. He proceeded to tell me theyre really only allowed to do that twice a year but they really shouldnt. I totally understood. Well after one year of storing my stuff there, the monthly rate went up by $10... Another year went by and it went up by another $10!!! Im now paying $71 a month and remember its a 5x10!!! So this month I was going to log in to my account and couldnt access it. I tried resetting my password I even sent in a contact us request with a message about what was going on and surprise surprise I never got a call or email from them... I had to keep trying and eventually figured it out (days later). Once I logged in I noticed they were charging me a $15 late fee. Im absolutely floored, Dave just called me to ask about my payment and I mentioned the late fee amount, I asked him if he could waive the $15 late fee like he mentioned before, since Ive only done that one time in 3-4 years, he said no he cannot. So it looks like Ill be making my final payment of $86 dollars for a very small unit and taking my belongings elsewhere. So upset with this business right now. I wouldnt be surprised to see it shut down very soon with the way they treat a long time customer. Goodbye public storage :)

I have never been so upset with a company. Never. They are aware that their units can be broken into but they did not inform me of that until it was too late. ANY decent person or company should let you know there is a problem that will result in all of your personal belongings being stolen but not Public Storage. While I think the general view is that this is a typical storage place...I have rented at a few and this is the first that doesnt allow you to use the recycle and garbage bins which is insane. I understand a case by case basis and they unlock for you or dont depending on what you have, but some flattened boxes? Insane. I was told its company policy...yet another public storage has allowed it.Do apartment complexes tell their tenants they cant use the dumpsters? No, because that would be ridiculous. I called to ask for a suggestion of where to dump extra boxes as Im not familiar with this area, and again...it makes no sense why I cant dump at the property...and while not the girls fault for not knowing because she too is new to the area...i feel it was her responsibility as an individual expected to provide customer service to find out. At the very least, try. Ask another property, ask your manager, ask another storage renter, do something. So as far as Im concerned, and having a relationship with public storage since 1998-1999, I will no longer be renting with them. At the same time, I now know if I ever need a storage space somewhere, to make sure I know and understand the dumping policy and I can pass that message on to others.
