Visiting this ER was my first experience after a traumatizing incident at West Hills ER, and my satisfaction is boundless. The exceptional treatment I received made me feel valued and cared for as a human, not just another patient. This warmed my heart. The ONLY positive regarding this hospital is the facility. Nice & clean w/ up to date technology. Other than that the staff here from the nurses to doctors were horrible! They aren’t attentive to patients and do VERY MINIMAL work. One of the nurses actually gave me attitude for asking for help because my dad’s oxygen was low. My dad hasn’t been properly wiped down or showered! They keep giving him sweets & high sodium foods even though they know he is a diabetic w/ high blood pressure! Horrible! Not a good experience @ this hospital AT ALL! All the nurses on our (5th/South Wing) floor are on their phones all day, not being attentive to patients. Also, the doctors here aren’t very knowledgeable, I was asking them a couple of general questions they didn’t have answers to. VERY frustrating experience being here. The ER experience was even WORSE!The nurse Aaron Kemp that works on the 5th floor (South Wing) was amazing! Very knowledgeable & helpful! All the other nurses we had weren’t so pleasant. Didn’t want to work and were waiting for their shift to end so they can go home.Dignity Health Northridge on the other hand was a MUCH BETTER hospital than this one. The staff was very attentive & accommodating.

I had a very negative experience at the front desk with one of nurses acting very rude and disrespectful when I was just asking a simple question regarding providing the insurance information. The nurses seemed very rude at the entrance level but the doctor was a wonderful person. Please retrain the nurses who are working at the entrance level because they can’t ruin the reputation of a such amazing hospital. This was the Tarzana hospital emergency room.

After 2 years and multiple tests I am grateful I was able to finally get a diagnosis of anemia. TheER doctor took his time even at 5 am to look at my blood work and my blood work from a year ago in the same hospital and was able to finally give me a diagnosis after not feeling well for so long. I spent the better part of a week at Providence Cedars-Sinai this month - with my sister who had major surgery. I came in town to be with her everyday before, during and after her surgery and was with her in the hospital for 12 hours a day. She is still healing, so I will hold my review of our physicians until total healing occurs - but will say that they were wonderful, and all had terrific bedside manners!First of all- the new hospital is beautiful. The patient rooms are beautiful, functional and comfortable for patients and family.Well done to the planners, the architects, designers who created such a great healing space. Mission accomplished!I do want to provide a review for all the nurses, the support staff, and any other person who came into my sisters room the week while I was there. The nurses were professional, compassionate, kind and knowledgeable. Also talkative, pleasant, and enjoyable. Each shift you would get your whole nursing team coming in to introduce themselves to you, so you knew your nurse, your nurse assistant and the support staff. Every time you had to ring them for something it was answered within seconds. Truly we felt like we were in good care with our nursing teams everyday.I work in healthcare, and I have for 34 years, so I was stunned when food service came in to deliver my sisters meal, and instead of putting it on her tray and leaving without a word (as most hospital staff would do), this woman smiled at my sister, unrolled her napkin and handed it to her, removed her food tops, spoke to my sister with complete kindness and small talk for like 30 seconds, gave us both a big smile, told us to have a blessed day, and was on her way. That occurred almost every meal with different people, including the food service director who stopped in her room to make sure she was happy with her food service and could he do more with her dietary needs - WHAT!!! Her food got cold talking to him, and he took it away and heated it up for her. WHAT!!The EVS gal came in to clean our floor with a smile and a cheerful hello, and other kind words, asking if there was anything else she could do to make our stay more comfortable. My sister asked if she could get her another blanket, and she had a new one in seconds. This was not the job of EVS - but this gal was happy to run and get a blanket for my sister, and kept cleaning the floors. WHAT!!I could go on, like the guy at the little snack shop by the front door, who had a smile and greeted me so kindly and happily every day!!! OR the security guards at the front door who I felt like I was becoming friends with, they were so kind to me.The cafeteria staff was very nice, but the cafeteria in general leaves a bit to be desired needs some TLC for sure.My sister is on the mend at a rehab facility - which is a huge difference from her previous digs at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana!! Now the nurse call button is answered within 2 hours (not seconds). We are very grateful and miss the staff at Providence. We hope not to need your services again, but know where we will be taking my sister if we do!!!MANY MANY THANKS :-)

Looks new and nice on the outside- however beware!Brought my wife to the Emergency Room today 03/21/2024 at around 4pm- due to injuries she suffered in a crash. No one at the front desk was interested in helping us. We ended up leaving- knowing we were not welcome.Please think twice before bringing your loved ones to this place.Breaks my heart that these so called health workers are the gatekeepers to people in need.You know who you are. You should be ashamed of yourselves.Ive experienced more empathy at the DMV.

Reading comments about this ER department I had a fear to go there, but I did anyway. At the arrival I was well taking care of at the admission. Next step a nurse Patricia who asked questions and made very clear that she is a nurse with a talking down attitude. I guess we still have this attitude problem with some of our nurses.Third step was taking vital signs and I was walking inside immediately, no waiting time.From this moment everything was well planned, all diagnostic tests prompt done. Not sure why many of us beds where in the always when there where clearly empty rooms. Perhaps insurance status.. Either way it is HIPAA violation, because doctors discuss with patients loud the diagnoses, medication etc front of all other parents. I had Dr Isaac Baas who did an excellent job and he was friendly had a big smile. Nurse Angel was a true Angel. All technicians were polite and friendly. The only thing that, the both near by restrooms had no toilet papers and hand towels. I take one start off for some female nurses attitude and for the bathrooms conndition. But otherwise the service was outstanding, fast which is the most important in an Emergency Room. Thank you from bottom of my heart for everyone who was taking care of me. Namaste!

The ONLY MRI available at this hospital is in a trailer outside. This is the ONLY MRI available for the last 5 years - and for the unknown future. If you need an MRI at any time of the day, whether youre an ER patient and its 40 at night, or whether you have an outpatient appointment for your provider, you will be walked 200 feet outside to a random trailer next to a portapotty, lifted on a very tall fork lift, shoved into the tiniest office space ever where you are expected to comfortably receive your IV, and then move into the smallest MRI room one has ever seen. For the price of visiting - $250 copay for the MRI - I would NOT recommend this hospital or location to anyone. GO ELSEWHERE

Very sad to see a Hospital with the Providence name and Cedar Sinai name so understaffed and management not taking care of its staff. I’ve brought my grandmother many times due to various emergencies. The wait times have been crazy being placed in the RME side until a bed is available asking staff what the next step will be and getting the same answer “we are sorry but we are short staffed and only have enough staff to treat so many amount of patients per staff”. I don’t blame the staff I blame the upper management who has failed the public and failed the hospitals name sake.

Took my son 1/30/24 after school because he fell in PE and twisted his ankle. Took X-rays and after a few hours the ER doctor came back with a “minor sprain” and gave him an ace brace and send him home walking with no crutches! I knew something was wrong as he cried the whole way back to the parking lot, his pain continued for a few days until I took him to an orthopedic center in LA…there they told me that he had actually fractured his growth plate and that it was a pretty serious injury! Over the years the ER attention has dropped significantly, treating you in the hallway for everyone to see and hear your personal information!

Treated immediately. Waited less than an hour and a half in the the ER (which is typically normal) for all results to come back so that a diagnosis and care plan could be made. Highly recommend this hospital for emergencies and inpatient treatment.

I’ve been here for ER services twice. The first time they didn’t believe that I was having a kidney issue and made me wait in their urgent care side until they realized that I was turning red and hunching over in pain. The second time my I brought my nephew who was contemplating suicide and the triage nurse brought us to the bunkers outside the ER to wait for a doc to come by. Just because they didn’t have a psychiatric ward doesn’t mean that suicide isn’t an emergency. It is considered an emergency across all medical standards in the US. They did nothing. My nephew’s doctor called the hospital, they did squat diddly. We left. I hope this merger with CS can improve their triage protocols so that people don’t die waiting for help!

Over the years the quality of the services going below the low point. Just a disappointment! My family has been using this hospital for about 25 years so I clearly know what I am talking about.After the merge their ER is a disaster with long lines on the chairs where all patients are cramped up quite close to each other!New doctors dont nt care much about listening to what patients have to sayband that sadly reflects on the quality of their medical care..I have to say that nurces and volunteers are great!Ill dink best not to go to this hospital as much as I can.

I had a planned caesarean section. My husband and I arrived at the hospital a few hours before the birth. We were immediately accepted, registered and taken to the ward to prepare for childbirth. My husband was with me all the time.The staff was very responsive, seeing my excitement, they explained to me in detail what needs to be done now and what will happen next.The operation went very quickly, literally 10 minutes after coming into the operating room, my husband and I were able to see our newborn baby. It was an amazing moment. One of the operating room staff took a whole bunch of photos of our family, for which we are very grateful to him. After all, these photos capture our first meeting with the baby, as well as the first minutes of the babys life.I would like to mention Dr. Michael Eshaghian, he is just a magician. Dr. Eshaghian is a master of his craft. The seam is very neat, the incision healed quickly, and my health quickly returned to normal. Many thanks to Dr. Eshaghian for everything he has done for our family.My husband and I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. The room was wonderful and cozy. The staff was very attentive, caring and empathetic. All the days I was in the hospital, my husband and I were very well fed. The nurses gave us a lot of training sessions on breastfeeding and child care. They checked my well-being every time and gave me painkillers if necessary. The child felt great. Thank you all very much! We are very grateful to you🙏.

I had a procedure done here yesterday. My doctor was a little late, but great. The staff, as well as my doctor, were SUPERB!The facility, though old, was clean and well-appointed. They move into the new space soon.If I ever have to go back, Ill look forward to it.I had an admitting nurse named Karen; she was anything but a Karen! She was the epitome of what any nurse should aspire to be: attentive, effective in her bedside manner and professional. Marina, the calmer in crisis, was sweet and wonderful for calming me down before my surgery. My anestioligst and her surgical nurse Anita were so nice, too.Thank you all so much.I think this was a love ❤️ letter to this place.

ZERO compassion. Policy trumps compassion and the human side of medicine is discarded and replaced with pushing more drugs into a patient’s body. They prefer to medicate over family hugs. “Policy” is used as an excuse to drive inhumane treatment of patient and family. The staff in the hospital is paralyzed by corporate policy. Ask a lot of questions and get policies in writing. Different answers depending on who you ask. Now under legal counsel.

Went in today due to numbness on the left side for the last couple of days and thought better to go in the ER. I’ve been residing in the Valley for over 30 years and have been to this hospital many times with always nothing but great things to say about the service and staff.I was given a prelim exam. Then taken to wait in a chair in their hallway. There were a couple of patients waiting there. An African American lady with noticiable difficulty in breathing and vomiting. There was an elderly gentleman with a seated walker and he explained he had been there waiting for over an hour. A caucasian couple next me waiting as well and what seemed to be that he was the one needing to be seen.I asked my mother who was in the lobby (via phone) to come in and bring something to eat and a water but saw security coming instead to let me know she was not able to come in. When I asked about the couple next to me and how she was able to be let in, he explained that the charge nurse made an “exception.”On my way out, I saw another caucasian teen being let in and be seen by MD. No wait time.Yes, the injustices I’ve seen today were very blatant. I left without being seen after having waited in that chair for over 40 minutes.The hospital may be nice and shiny. But the service very one sided.

I recently gave birth to my first child at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center and was very pleased with my whole experience there. I have nothing but good things to say about every staff member I interacted with. I felt very supported throughout my time there. The nurses, especially Jamie, and doctors treated me with genuine care, addressed my preferences and needs, and acted in a professional manner. When it came time to deliver, my baby’s heart rate was dropping and they needed to get her out fast. The room filled up almost instantly with nurses and doctors. My doctor wasn’t there yet, so Dr. Russo jumped in and started the delivery with no hesitation. I felt empowered during delivery due to the support of the nurses and doctors. I highly recommend this hospital for labor & delivery.

The staff was very neglectful but some of the nurses were very kind. Most of them did not know how to care for confused patients including yelling at them that they were going to die for touching the equipment despite knowing they had delirium. Repeatedly ignored calls when the patient was sitting in their waste for extended periods of time on multiple occasions leading to infections. They did not inform the nursing home my loved one could not move on their own which resulted in them being forced to care for themselves and falling to end up incredibly injured and nearly died. They’re doing much better at another hospital.

If you’re looking for a place that really has no interest in your healthcare needs and an unfriendly staff then you have come to the right place. They do not follow the “patient’s rights ” and want you to leave as quickly as possible so they can have the open bed. Their only form of communication is just handing you discharge paperwork and pushing you out. You have a better chance of being treated like a human at Keiser. Yup, that’s how bad it is. They should be ashamed of themselves and most of them should leave the healthcare field. New building but their same ways. Don’t waste your time. Go somewhere else and get better care.

Place is pretty wack besides the birth of my kid being born there. My spouse had a c section there and they did a horrible job looking after her while she was recovering right away they made her walk after delivering the baby . With that being said the staples opened up and when it was time for discharge they removed the staples and realized she had a open wound and they made her stay a day extra and all they did was give me supplies and teach me how to pack her wound . The Drs name was Roy Aylon I would probably never come back the whole process was a nightmare . Whoever reads this just consider the risk how they handle things and how no one takes fault for malpractice or the lack of attention to their job .All nurses do is stay on their and just wait to give you the painkillers on a empty stomach at 5 am and expect you to walk right after . The lactisionist puts mad pressure to pump out breast milk its ridiculous they make you feel as if there is no other option and they go out of line and start asking personal life questions they are all nosey! Its a horrible place just stay away. Not a good place to give birth specially with all the construction theres no privacy or peace to heal up ! Construction start early like at 5 or 6 its like your waking up to bangs and saw machines . Save your self from stress and anger pick another hospital I wish I had read these reviews before comming to this one

I wouldn’t recommend this ER. The nurse over the phone is extremely unprofessional and rude, she made it seem like my situation was not emergency when I told her I had shortness of breath and wanted to ask a doctor about my symptoms following my recent visit. During my time there, I wasn’t getting any updates and whenever I asked how long approximately it would take for me to get the result of CT-scans (and this was already 3 hours into the visit), the nurse just kept saying she couldn’t tell me, with an attitude! As if I had said something wrong. She just kept going back and forth with the conversation and saying that I shouldn’t judge because I wasn’t working there and didn’t know how things worked! I wasn’t even being rude to her or anything, I had gone through a procedure that day which went badly and was simply exhausted, wanted to know when I could leave and it was 3am! Not to mention that I was not asked once if I was feeling ok or if I needed anything, until I helplessly waved my hand at someone. I appreciate that they helped me with my condition in the end, I work in healthcare myself and have a lot of respect for people in this field because I know they have to work really hard. But I didn’t feel I was cared for during this visit and I don’t believe this is the right way to treat a patient!

I live in Canada, and while visiting my close family here, I went to the Emergency Department because I was experiencing shortness of breath due to pneumonia. I was admitted and remained in the hospital for 4 days.During this time, I was under close observation, underwent extensive tests and received treatment from a wonderful team of healthcare professionals. They worked tirelessly around the clock to stabilize my condition and put me on the right track to recovery.I want to express my profound gratitude and deep appreciation for the care Ive received from the attending doctors, nurses and non-clinical personnel.Although its impossible to remember all the names, Ill list as many as I can recall:Dr. Movses Kazanchyan, Dr. Oren Hirsch, Dr. Naira Manoukian,Dr. Shiva Shabnam, Dr. Aaron M. I am devestated regarding the inexplicable negligence displayed by one of your doctors, Dr. Omid Shaye, who has been overseeing my grandmothers care for the past two weeks at the Tarzana Medical Center and prior to that at West Hills Hospital. After months of continuous treatment, the medical team has now nonchalantly declared that her cancer has returned, despite previous claims of being unable to determine the source of her suffering.Be aware that I am left with no alternative but to initiate action against this hospital for this gross misconduct and the immense suffering inflicted upon my elderly grandmother.It is imperative to understand that Dr. Omid Shayes insistence on discharging her today is entirely unacceptable.She is in a deplorable condition, unable to eat, incapable of walking, and has grown profoundly weak. Her will to live is diminishing, and her health deteriorated significantly just yesterday.This is not a matter to be taken lightly, and I strongly advise you not to seek care at this hospital.

January 25th of 2015. Our 6-year old son was playing with our poodle puppy and scratched his forehead. For precautions, my wife took him to the Providence Tarzana ER (covered by our insurance) to make sure our son doesnt need any preventive shots. Because it was a huge line in ER, the hospital staff transferred us to the next door unit without consulting with us. Next door unit, as we found out later, was an Urgent Care (not covered by our insurance). Shortly a doctor appeared at the reception telling us that they will report our puppy to the animal control and they have to stich our sons forehead. He or any medical professional didnt even touch our son (he had a simple scratch). We told them were leaving that we are leaving and we left. Some time after we received a $513 bill from the Providence Tarzana Urgent Care. No one at Providence Tarzana would remove this charge for us. It is a scam!!! About that time I lost my job and we had problem with our mortgage payments. Nobody cared. $513 went to collections and on my wifes credit history and it is still there. Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence, Integrity. These are Providence stated values... Baloney!!! No Compassion, No Dignity, No Justice, No Excellence, and No Integrity. Worse hospital since they became part of cesear, they are the worst patinet care I had a severve head ace and sensitivity to light and they put me in the hall way bed with the extreme amount of light exposure, I think this is not even care when they purposley do that to u and they had 30 empty rooms and they were not that busy. What an attitude. The only nurse that I can really give credit to is Edd. ( Edward) was an amazing person that was really there for us! The Dr always was busy I had to ask for them few times for hours. She had only one visit a day by the Dr and thats after me asking serval time: the experience with this hospital was really bad few times all ready! And I wont go back there anymore! Worst hospital ever. Ethics amongst the staff and surgeons very unprofessional and failed to meet safety protocols for patience. Lack of accountability for medical errors and deaths. Even their own physician assistants criticized the hospital and doctors. I can give out names of physicians and nurses complaining and agreeing with the lack of care given to pt. The doctor also agreed he messed up during surgery and believed mistake was minimal but ended up causing a death. When speaking to this to strangers they’ve claimed they or their family have experienced incidents including wrongful deaths here. This hospital needs to be investigated. Beside him being a great doctor he also has a great physician assistant Natalie PA which shows the same care and patience for each patient. Wonderful service and care in the Emergency Room. My brother (71 years of age) was treated last week for head and body injuries from a fall on the pavement. He was amazed by how wonderful the treatment was in the Emergency. Plus, the following day, he got a call at home from the Emergency Room doctor (Heike D. Worse hospital ever to go to for ER when your pregnant. I checked in the regular ER and they sent me to labor and delivery since Im 32 weeks. Ive been waiting for close to two hours to be seen them knowing my baby hasnt moved the last 24hrs as well as Im having trouble breathing and its getting worse but there response is there busy and cant even care to give me a time frame Im going to be seen. I was considering giving birth here but I can grantee I will NEVER come back to this hospital!! The staff is extremely rude at both ER check in as well as the Labor and delivery. I wish I could rate the nurses separately from the facilities because majority of them were rock stars!1: scheduled c-section which they tell you to come in at least 2 hours prior to (mind you fasting, nervous) only to get a number and wait for the single admitting agent (50 minutes, then it was rush,rush to catch up)2: first night: nurse comes in at 830 pm to advise the water to the entire hospital will be shut off for an unknown amount of time (turned out to be 7 hours). Having a single cell carcinoma removed from my kidney, was the single most frightening personal experience of my life.Every single person I met at Providence was so kind and caring. Even a stranger in an elevator guided me to where I needed to go, and when he saw I went astray, he came back and led me through the right doorway. My prep and hold and post op nurse Lourdes was amazing. All of my nurses were amazing.But, as I lay in the hallway on the gurney waiting to go into the operating room, I was terrified. I had no idea in what condition I would awaken or if I would.Right when I was about to beg to be put to sleep, the surgical team they finally wheeled me into the operating room, showed me the robot that would be operating on me and slid me onto the operating table.As they prepped me for surgery, they introduced themselves and then after they had all introduced themselves, they said to me, And, we are all here for you.Somehow, that statement completely put my mind at ease. Im so grateful I was able to thank them before my surgeon Dr. Patel came in and I went to sleep.I woke up in the greatest pain Ive ever experienced, but everything went perfectly, and I am now cancer free.I cant express what a difference the kindness and empathy of every single person on that staff made during an extremely difficult time in my life. I wish I could thank them all individually, but this is the best I can do.

I have had surgery here in the past and several ER visits. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Had to wait for a room for 1/2 hour with racing heart and super high BP. But I think this hospital is a great hospital. My only wish is that the nurses not be so loud when they are chit chatting (laughing) at the nurses station. I dont think they realize that when people are trying to sleep or are in pain, sounds are heightened. They often yelled down the halls in the ER for something humorous. I could not sleep at all due to the noise. However, the hospital called me twice after I was discharged to see how I was, to make sure I was taking my meds and had made a follow up appt with my doctor. They answer any questions you have and seem to really care about your well-being. After care is important too.

I just recently moved to the valley from Wisconsin. This hospital seems older and not up to date and the room wasn’t in the greatest condition COMPARED to Wisconsin hospitals and clinics. Wisconsin has very nice hospitals brand new up to date all there clinics are ran like that. They’re very clean and just look very nice and not outdate. So it’s just a huge change for someone who just moved here.. The intake nurse was kind of short with me and not really rude just seemed like she didn’t care what I had to say. Everyone else was great, the doctor listened to me and checked me out thoroughly, the respiratory therapist who came in 2 different males were both very friendly and helped me out. They don’t have a call button in the room? So not sure how you call for help if you need help? This was something we had in Wisconsin. Overall they helped me out prescribed the medication I needed and was friendly so I don’t have any complaints just trying to give a informed review.

Cedar-Sinai Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles has always been my #1 hospital choice, because of their hospitality care for their patients.I am today furious and disappointed to hear that my sick God daughter and her mother was treated like dogs at the Tarzana location. My God daughter who is only 6 1/2 and I were Face timing at 4:00 pm. She couldnt breathe or talk on the phone because of her coughs and asked her mom for help. I didnt want my God daughter to stay on the phone longer than a minute, and she said: I love you tatie.At 5:00 pm on a Wednesday evening, I was informed that my 6 1/2 year God daughter and her mother had to go to the hospital because her coughs were getting worse and so they rushed to Cedars Sinai Tarzana Medical Center.Dr. Chanida Sintuu, M.D. was in charge of my God daughter, but instead, she punished the mother for bringing her to the hospital and criticized the choices the mother made.In addition, Dr. Sinntuu didnt do a proper physical examination on the young 6 1/2 year old patient, and instead made criticisms to the mother such as: If she is eating she is fine; Why did you bring her here?! she just has a virus?!.The mother and my God daughter were kicked out by 6:00 pm because they didnt find anything wrong with the patient. Doctors in the PM Pediatric Urgent Care unit in that hospital should be more compassionate when it comes to a mothers worry for their children. I am only posting one star because if I choose zero stars I cant post my review .My mother had surgery at Tarzana Medical center yesterday and while she was well cared for, the situation for family members is appalling. I understand Covid restrictions and the fact that there is construction going on, however, the waiting area is located in the parking structure. The area and furniture are covered with black dust, there are car fumes, there is no water or vending machines for water available and no charging station (or any electrical outlets) for phones. Phones are important when waiting on news about patients and discharge times. When I tried to get a bottle of water after visiting hours, I was told I could not go in. When I complained to the security that this seemed unreasonable, a second security guard behindthe counter flagged me over to him. When I complained about not getting any water and the lack of availability of a clean and equipped waiting area he stated well whos fault do you think that is ? I am not sure exactly what he meant but he was very rude and sarcastic. He then told me that I could walk to Gelsons or CVS to get water and that my husband, who was with me waiting to pick up my mother, would have to use the restroom at CVS or Gelsons. Now, we capable of taking a walk to one of those places but not everyone can do that, there are elderly or disabled persons waiting for their loved ones as well and a 5 minute plus walk to use the bathroom is unacceptable and most likely a violation of ADA rules and health plan compliance. I have left several phone messages with no response as well as 2 emails. I will also be forwarding this to your CEO, Mr. Lymberpoulos.Edit: Did receive call from security manager who responded to my complaint appropriately and states he will review security footage and speak with the security officer involved. During that time, it was nearly impossible to get updates from nurses and doctors. Each day, she begged us to take her home because she was being neglected. When I asked if she’d eaten, she’d tell me her food or water were set out of reach. Or her back was bare because her robe had slipped. She was cold and too weak to fix it. She’d call for help and no one would come.We learned that she was the only covid patient on that floor, so her room was sealed with plastic and the nurses took hours to suit up and respond to her calls for help. She was left to fend for herself and we could do nothing about it.10 days later, the hospital told us they’d be keeping her in isolation for 5 more. 15 days in, they told us it would be 20, then 21. I kept urging my grandma to hang on, I’d be there to see her soon. For a full week, she complained that she couldn’t eat because it hurt too much. She’d developed large sores on her lips and in her mouth. Hospital staff just kept leaving her regular solid meals. She couldn’t eat. No one cared.My mom would drop off soft meals and smoothies. It would take them hours to deliver them and would set them on the counter…for a bed-bound patient. In sight, but out of reach.My grandma, who had never been so alone in her life, withered away. On the 18th day of isolation, the nursing home we’d made arrangements with said my grandma was going to be released. We were relieved. Hours later, the hospital told us no—they’d be keeping her the full 21 days and visitation was still not allowed.That night, my grandma died—sad, hungry and alone. We were never warned that she was in immediate danger, so that we could be allowed inside to say goodbye.Was my grandma sick? Yes. Would she have died soon anyway, if she hadn’t caught covid? Maybe. Did she have to die in isolation, sad, scared, hungry and neglected? No. Hell no. This hospital is evil. Keep your loved ones away if you value their lives.

Finally spoke to a case manager at my insurance company and she said they get complaints on this hospital all the time. Avoid Tarzana Hospital at all costs if you care for your loved ones. I look back to the day I gave birth and I just break down and cry. I had the worst experience here while giving birth. This was new and a very scary moment for my husband and I. Nurses were rude and had nasty attitude. I was not producing any breast milk and about 4 different lactation nurses would come and try to squeeze milk out. My newborn went three days without eating and I was declined formula for my newborn, I was never ever offered formula until I mentioned it. I delivered my baby boy at this hospital 6 months ago. I previously had delivered by daughter in 2013 and was expecting to have the same awesome experience. Unfortunately this time around wasnt as great. The anesthesiologist poked me 3 times with the spinal blockage . The Dr. Or the assistant Dr. Werent even in the hospital. Got admitted to the ER late night and Dr. Wang treated me. He is an excellent doctor who took the time during a busy ER night shift and actually diligently dealt with my condition and explained everything, also answered my questions. He is very dedicated to his patients, did everything that mt PCP didnt ever do and even asked me to come back for follow ups, which is way beyond his capacity as ER doctor, but it really shows how diligent he is. Went back for follow ups few days later and he was working at another section yet still took the time to see me and discuss how I feel and what my next steps should be. Very knowledgeable, great doctor and also very diligent human being who just makes you feel comfortable around him and his team. NEVER go to the Tarzana hospital emergency room if you have the opportunity to go to another hospital. On 07-07-21 I felt very bad, had a high temperature and came to the hospital for medical help. They quickly registered me, connected all the devices, and took blood. But after they did a covid test on me which came back positive, the doctor immediately ran away from my room and I never saw him again. They hung a red cross on the door of my room and no one else came up to me. They didn’t give me any medicine, they didn’t put on an IV, they just connected me to devices which measured my status (the devices also prevented me from walking to the restroom). When I shouted that I needed to go to the toilet, the nurse threw a plastic urine receiver at my door. Not once after the positive covid test did anyone ask me how I was feeling, whether I needed anything like water, etc. When I realized that no one would approach me, I unplugged the devices myself, changed my clothes and left. I am a sick person. I went to the hospital for help. If the hospital couldnt help me, then they should have sent me to another hospital, or assigned me to a covid ward, or called other specialists. But this does not mean that if I am sick I should be isolated and not given help. Their approach was to wait for me to recover by myself or die.

Recently had a hysterectomy. The OR staff and nurses were AMAZING!!! However in recovery and my overnight stay, was a NIGHTMARE! Whomever the Charge Nurse was that night, was SOOOOOOOOOO RUDE, I couldnt even believe it! I was having trouble sleeping, throwing up, etc, My chart had on it that I suffer from general anxiety disorder So later that night, while I called for the nurse who was attending to me that night to let her know I had vomitted, the charge nurse proceeded to come in and lectured me for about 20 minutes on me having an anxiety disorder and that was causing me to vomit (no it was the morphine) and as anxiety causung my blood pressure to soar. So she decided to take my bp for herself, took her 15 minutes to even figure out how to work the machine! Ive never been treated so awfully by a NURSE in my entire life! Found out later, she had been very rude to my husband earlier, when I was still groggy, coming out of surgery. He couldnt even get out a question to another nurse, because she jumped in and jumped down his throat! !! Until she found out it was my husband because he raised his voice (which he never does!) saying she is my WIFE!. She sure changed her tune after that. Then found out, she was rude to my father, down in the cafeteria (she didnt know he was my father, until later on, then her attitude changed!) She ALSO made the mistake of giving me a medication I was allergic to! I dont know her name, never cared to learn, but if you see a woman nurse on the 2nd floor, with cat eye shaped glasses, RUN! I honestly dont know how she has a job there!

They treat the patients as if they are filth, and beneath them, and sadly this is the closest hospital to my home.I am so disgusted by this facility, that In the future, when in need of emergency medical assistance, I will be taking the additional 10 minute trip to the next nearest hospital.

My son was admitted to this hospital for a high jaundice level only days after being born. We got transferred over from Providence in Mission Hills. Our nurse Randy from the night shift in the PICU, was AAAAMAZING. Literally nothing short of that, he himself deserves 5+ stars!! He was so kind and compassionate towards my son, my husband & I. He is a true definition of a nurse! Everyone from the night shift in the PICU was nice! The doctor (caucasian woman) was very informative & treated us with dignity. The doctor (tall-ish older short haired woman) was the complete worst!!!!!!!!! And her accomplice nurse (tall skinny older asain woman)!! I cant even imagine how that doctor was able to be given the privilege to work with babies. This hospital needs to reevaluate her asap. She literally forced what she wanted, upon me and my husband. She did not care for our feelings or that she was not our sons legal guardian. She forcefully made the decision to feed my son formula, when he was a breastfed baby. She had me in tears because she made my son sound as if he was going to die, as if there was no other choice & we HAD to. Then when she saw that I was upset, she went and called some social worker?? This doctor actually covered her ass by calling a social worker to come and speak to me, and justify the ignorance that was going on. Its completely ridiculous that I was forced to change my sons food just so they could get rid of us faster! It breaks my heart to know that there is a doctor walking around pushing parents into a corner, and forcing what she wants down their throats. I will be forever scarred by both of these woman, because when I was already fearful they made matters so so very much worse.

Beware of being billed for remainder balance of hospital Emergency Room Services. Even though the hosptal is listed as Cigna in-network establishment their doctors may not be in-network and they will come after you for the balance what normally in netork doctors would charge. Went to visit ER. Nursing staff will not give a hoot if youre not having code blue. They didnt show us the call light nor instruct us where is it. The nurses only came back twice on 8 hour period. We had IV going and the nurses have not returned. The blood is flowing back in IV tubing. We asked for nurse nothing. They could care less. And we came in very early in morning with not much patient around. And they call it emergency nursing or nursing for that part.

I had a mishap in a swimming pool and my pinky finger would not work. I went to the Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical center and perhaps blew it by going to the ER.
