Im Sona Balam with over 480 Films and TV credits on IMDB ands 25+ years experience in Audio Post Production, Sound Designer, Re-recording mixer, and Dolby Atmos Certified. Regardless of my long-standing expertise, staying on top of the latest Pro Tools editing technology is critical. After recently taking the advanced Post-Production Operator Certification at ProMedia Training, Ive been able to double my speed and also ​​​​​​​​​​​complete projects, faster. I had been using Pro tools for a long time prior as well; but after completing the training, I am like flying inside the Pro tools timeline. I learned many shortcuts which enhanced my speed in sound editing and mixing workflow which saves my time and money. I just recently finished the mixing of feature film in just five days. I recommend this class to any serious industry professional audio engineer in post as well as ProMedias Avid Dolby Atmos Certification. Id like to wish a special thanks to Frank Cook, Mihai and Jenna and everyone at ProMedia Training-Pro Tools Certification. Ive been a professional audio and post production engineer in sports, esports, and music in the Los Angeles area for years covering high-profile sporting events contracted by Fox, Amazon, etc. I decided to go through Pro tools Certification with ProMedia Training as an industry professional wanting to stay on the very top of my game. These ProMedia Training courses have greatly improved my skill set and opened up additional opportunities for me with a very accomplished composer, as well with the GRAMMY Museum with ATMOS.

Im an assistant recording engineer based in Manhattan and recently completed the April 2024 online Dolby Atmos Certification with Pro Media. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The hospitality by Jenna prior to enrolling and through the course was great, Mihai was excellent with the email communication and certification exam, and Eric was a fantastic instructor who was thorough with his presentations + practical with the real-world applications of the material.

ProMedia is a first class ProTools training facility! As a veteran ProTools user, I was really impressed with the level of instruction the team there was able to provide. Mihai kept the small class focused and on the same page for the full week. His industry knowledge and passion for the business shown through in every topic area. In addition, Jenna was awesome at helping myself and Masa Fukada, the director of the OneVoice Children’s Choir, make the right choice between in person versus video based instruction. We were so glad we came to LA!Finally, the take away lessons and materials will provide a solid reference library to ensure the new skills I learned remain fresh for use in the studio! I am so pumped about all that I learned and the new relationships I was able to build.I full recommend ProMedia as THE source for ProTools training!

Mihai Boloni is an incredible teacher. He is funny, entertaining, and really knows the program. He shows cool tips and tricks that have tremendously helped me learn the program and pass the certification. Highly recommend taking his course!

“As manager of Music Imaging at SiriusXM radio, our department chose Promedia Training for our professional Avid Pro Tools training and consulting for our team. Our team has users at mixed levels, and Promedia worked with us on creating a custom tailored plan to cater to 2 groups at the same time. I am currently a Grammy Nominated Audio Engineer for best Reggae Album of the Year with Shaggy and Sting Com Fly Wid Mi, as well as audio engineer for Atlantic Records and Nightbird Studios in LA. When I started at ProMedia Training, I had been working as an assistant engineer who had always prided myself on being a primarily “Self-taught” Pro Tools engineer, songwriter, drummer, guitarist. Even though I studied traditional audio engineering for 2 years, I need to get better at PRO TOOLS, way faster and more efficient. I never had a frame of reference as to what it looked like for an opportunity to meet educated talent. Opportunities more or less showed up, but I had the tendency to fall short when the rubber met the road. Either as a result of incompetence, or fear of failure, I knew I didn’t have the depth of knowledge to make me feel confident that my commitment could be met at all.In this competitive world, you need to be able to walk into a studio and keep up with the most demanding clients. Making the decision to acquire proper training at ProMedia Training in the fields I love so much not only opened doors, but also allowed me to perform and execute those opportunities in a real and incredible way. The confidence boost by itself was enough to land me some pretty great clients. But more importantly, the ability to work in, troubleshoot, edit and create with Pro Tools as the result of reaching out to ProMedia Training has absolutely turned a completely new leaf in my career. I am a professional soldier and a producer. I have used Pro Tools for a couple years but was self-taught. The team at ProMedia was fantastic in every way!When I attend training in any sphere I expect it to be professional, challenging and rewarding. My experience with this team was all of those things and was a blast to boot!My work flow vastly accelerated, my understanding of the software improved substantially, and the training/training envirnonment was totally pro.Carter, Mihai, and Jen especially distinguished themselves as extraordinary professionals and I am excited to work with them in the future.I highly recommend this course to any Pro Tools user. Really enjoyed my in-person class at Pro Media Training LA! Everything about it exceeded expectations, from the staff, to my classmates, to the class itself. I’m a recording artist/songwriter who came in as a mostly self-taught Pro Tools user, and even though I’ve used the program for years to record in my home studio, I felt like I still only understood it on a surface level. Turns out I was right! Not only did my instructor Mihai teach me a ton of new functions I either didn’t know how to use or didn’t know existed, he taught me how to work faster and more efficiently in Pro Tools and helped me to understand the program itself and recording audio on a deeper level as a whole. As a seasoned recording industry vet, he has a wealth of knowledge on recording and manipulating digital audio as well as analogue, and does a great job of explaining how Pro Tools works and WHY it works the way it does. Plus he shared a bunch of cool industry stories and relevant information for people who are just breaking in like me! Jenna, who handles the administrative side of things, was also great and kept an open line of communication from the moment I signed up, making sure I always had all the relevant materials for class, knew where I was going, and knew what was expected of me in advance in order to be successful in the training. All in all Pro Media has a great team and I had a great experience, and I would definitely choose them again for any related training programs I might want to take in the future. Thanks Pro Media!

Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn protools! ProMedia has been thorough from the very first contact! Questions or concerns are handled fast, tech support was amazing! I’ve been engineering for 6 years using logic and thought I had a good understanding of exactly how a console worked, after going through class with Mihai I seen quickly there was a lot I didn’t know! I’ve had some great mentors along the way with platinum plaques and Grammy nominations but still left some things out, not at ProMedia they understand Protools they understand engineering and music in general, I have a studio in the Baton Rouge area (Track House Studios) and wanted to make sure I had the professional sound my clients needed. I could hear a difference in something done on logic and a track made on protools. I will be taking every course that ProMedia has to offer! Thank you Jenna, Alex, Mihai, Joe for all your help!
