This is by far the best plumbing experience I have had in the 27 years of owning income property in Redondo Beach. They live up to their reviews and then some. I called them to go to my property in RB. They were so easy to deal with understanding that I have tenants they would need to contact. They kept me the owner informed of everything they were doing. They went out the same day that I called got the sink drain unplugged. They did a thorough job and told me why the sink continually plugs up, they were able to take care of the major work a day later. They are super friendly. They know their job and get it done quickly and they charge a fair price. I’m impressed and I will be using them from now on unless management changes.

We had a great plumber (small, local company) who we used for years, and when he retired he sold his company (which seems to mostly mean his customer list and phone number) to Prodigy. We used them a few times.They’re fine and do fine work.However, the first time we used them they followed up after we had paid, trying to get us to pay for something that the service tech had told us we did not need to pay. Just one of the things that happens with a larger company - they don’t always have communication lined up.The last (and final time) we had them come recently to install two new faucets in our kitchen, which we had already purchased. They quoted us more than $800 to install. Not to purchase the faucets, just for the labor for faucets we already purchased. The tech said there was nothing that he could do about the price - someone who is not on site to see the reality of how much work it actually is sets the price and he can’t change it (according to him).They then sent me text messages and called, asking for a review of their work (and when I spoke to them on the phone, they apparently had no idea that the work wasn’t actually done and they weren’t interested in our experience with another plumber).We ended up calling a small local company referred to by neighbors, who came and did the installation in an hour for $200. He was great. They’re our new plumbersAsk for a review and you shall receive. I wish you had been more responsive to your actual customer, both in the moment when we questioned the ridiculous quote and on the phone when you called asking for a review of services.———Kudos to them…they called and followed up after this review. Apologized and offered us a way to make it right. Appreciate them doing that

Our experience with Prodigy was absolutely phenomenal! They were here within 2 hours from our initial call to fix the issue. Our technician was very knowledgeable, friendly and EXTREMELY efficient! He went out of his way to not only complete the job in a timely manor but also answer any questions AND offer to take a look at any other potential plumbing issues around the home before he left. As someone who works in property maintenance, I often deal with less than enthusiastic contractors who often do the bare minimum - Prodigy was a breath of fresh air! From now on, ALL of our plumbing issues on our property contracts will be going through Prodigy! I cannot recommend their service and workmanship enough! Thank goodness we had an emergent issue this morning and found their contact details rather than calling who we generally would - the BEST silver lining to come from a leaking pipe! I needed to find an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose a problem I was having with my Mini split system. I called Prodigy plumbing and they got me an appointment that very same day. Michael showed up and he was punctual, well mannered, professional and highly qualified. On top of that, he was a just a great and friendly guy. He worked on my system and let me know what was needed to have it repaired. If youre in the Long Beach area, this is the company to call for all of your HVAC and plumbing needs.

I’ve used Prodigy for plumbing but never HVAC until my AC went out. Michael came out to look at the unit. He was very professional and although the unit had some weird things going on making it difficult to find the root issue, he figured it out, and explained step by step what needed to be done.He was very helpful and informational and I will definitely request him again for future visits. Highly recommended!!!

We called prodigy, because we know they usually can come out quickly and do a professional job. We were getting a washer and dryer hooked up, but the faucets that were to be used to hookup the appliances were frozen plus some other issues. Jerry was sent out within 1-2 hours of our call and we are so lucky he was sent to our rescue. He accessed all our needs quickly and gave us an estimate. Jerry had to go purchase all the parts needed and returned soon after and fixed everything needed. Its so nice to: get a professional, get an accurate assessment and quote, for people to go above and beyond with the smallest of details AND to get such a pleasant and wonderful professional. If you are looking for a decent plumbing company, Prodigy will be your right answer.Especially in my case, I needed to get a check and estimate immediately, Prodigy made an appointment the next day even though it was the Memorial long weekend.Russell was my charge to check, he has worked really well. Based on his professional knowledge we could check what the problem is.I was in a little panic about what had happened to my bathroom but I could calm down when I saw his work. His experience could give me several options in cases, one of them was exactly right so it could be fixed.Also his Supervisor Donny was in my home, they double checked for me spending their own time more than enough. Their work is very reliable and fair.Whole service during their stay was fantastic, I could not be happier.

I highly recommend Prodigy Plumbing!As a senior citizen, I’m careful about who I deal with for home repairs. And I can wholeheartedly recommend Prodigy Plumbing. They have always been quick to respond, are very reasonable in price, and are not just polite, but caring.Most recently, they squeezed me in on a Saturday because my tub faucet had sprung a leak worrisome enough that I was afraid of a giant water bill. When Cole looked at my fixtures, he explained I needed a replacement cartridge that was obsolete. He wasn’t able to find the part, but said he could put in a new trim (faucet, etc.) or I could request a replacement part from Delta, which has a “no-drip” guarantee. In the meantime, he showed me how to turn the water to the house off and on so I could stop the leak during the times I didn’t need water. Cole gave me his number and stayed in touch. I called Delta, who ended up sending out the wrong part, which I didn’t discover until Kevin rushed out from Prodigy to install it.Cole and Kevin each took their time to explain things. They were competent and respectful. And as nice as they were to me, they are representative of the company on a whole. From my first call to Prodigy Plumbing several years ago, I have been consistently met with genuine helpfulness from everyone who has picked up the phone. Their customer service is superb.When I finally had the right cartridge, Kevin was back (again on a Saturday), and got everything fixed up beautifully. Thank you, Kevin and Cole, for your good work and your kindness to me. You guys and Prodigy are the best!Postscript:I thought my plumbing problems were over for good (see my review of last week) but unfortunately, a few days later the leak returned and I worried that this time I might be looking at an expensive fix. I called Prodigy Plumbing again and they sent out Steven Garcia. He listened carefully, made a thorough evaluation, and discovered a tiny piece of debris in the valve. He fixed it at no charge. I called Prodigy Plumbing because the cold water to the faucet in our bathroom would not turn off. Steve Garcia the technician assessed the problem as well as did a check of other faucets which were of the same age. The problem faucet/cartridge was severely corroded and needed to be replaced. There were varying levels of corrosion on the other faucets and cartridges that we decided to replace with new cartridges. Steve conducted a thorough assessment of main line water pressures, and our tankless water heater and discussed issues with hard water damages to pipes and what led to the damages to the faucets. Steve Garcia did the work efficiently and checked that everything was working properly upon completion of the job. Prodigy came out to our home promptly. Steve was friendly, skilled, polite and left his work area clean. I appreciated the itemization of the cost estimates without hidden surprises.I will be calling them back in the future. Thank you.

I used Prodigy a year ago to repipe my kitchen and they did a great job, so I called them for a backed up bathroom sink caused by old pipes. They showed up within an hour, wore booties in my house, fixed the problem quickly, left zero mess AND inspected the crawl space under my house to ensure there were not surprise leaks I was unaware of. They really went above and beyond and I will use them for all of my plumbing needs going forward.

My kitchen drain decided to back up Friday afternoon a few hours before my guests arrived. It was my first time ever using prodigy so I didnt know how quickly they worked. They sent their tech Desi out within 30 minutes. Desi covered one side of the sink with a plug and turned on the disposal and the water started draining immediately. It was such a hassle free experience. Will definitely be calling prodigy for future issues.

I recently had to replace my sewer Line. What a pleasant experience. Mark and Donny took great care of our problem. 5 years ago we had Sewer Hydro Jetting performed on our 1908 Craftsman home in Long Beach. We discovered the problem was bigger. Now, five years later we had the Sewer Pipe Lining pipe burst PICC.They showed me the entire pipe run so that I understood WHY. It was a no brainer as this could get serious.They showed up on time and ready to work. Did the job and left everything cleaner than when they arrived. Flexible appointment times and easy scheduling really helped.Stop searching and just call Prodigy. You will not be disappointed! I cant say enough good things about Mark the owner and Alexis the technician. Alexis checked out corroded piping that made it impossible to attach a washer and dryer to be hooked up. He sent me pictures, explained that only one side had this issue, (love that kind of honesty) and as Id asked- did not speak about things in front of the tenants-hes polite and caring and helpful. The owner, Mark, is such a mentsch that you feel like this is the kind of old school caring that you thought didnt exist anymore. Their prices are good, their service is great and their attitude is a dream come true. I really like this company.

I agreed to the price of this repair, so I have to share some responsibility here. Having the need for a repair to be scheduled quickly and not having the time to shop around was my downfall, and led to me being taken advantage of.Prodigy cut open my bathroom wall and fixed a water leak in the drain pipe behind the vanity. I removed the vanity myself and had the jobsite ready when they arrived, so it was very easily accessible. Their price did not include patching the wall. Only the repair.They supplied one 1-1/2 ABS sanitary tee, one 1-1/2 Fernco coupling, and 90 minutes of labor. So $15 in parts and the technician was done in 90 minutes.THEY CHARGED ME $2450 FOR THIS REPAIR. So their labor rate worked out to about $1633 per hour.As you have already figured out, I will NEVER call Prodigy Plumbing again and am sharing my experience with my shocked family & friends who think I was an idiot for agreeing to this repair. They are correct.Fool me once, shame on me. There wont be a second time.

Once again, Prodigy Plumbing comes through for us! Our latest adventure began when our garden sprinklers kicked on at 5:30am. The pipes under our bedroom began making a very loud rumbling vibrating sound (VERY loud). I raced out of bed to turn off the sprinklers and the noise stopped.So, I reached out Prodigy to suss out the problem.Cesar showed up (on time!)and immediately determined the source of the rumble was simply air in the lines.He then went the extra mile and crawled under our home to be sure there was no damage or leaking.Problem solved.Cesar was truly a gentleman and professional in every way.Prodigy is the best!: )

I have been using Prodigy plumbing services for various plumbing jobs around my house for 4 years now. So when they told me and showed me that several of my sewer lines were in need of replacement, I was glad that I had already had experience with the quality of their workmanship. I would especially like to note the quality of workmanship and professionalism of Carlos, Tyreece, and Alexis. These gentlemen are extremely hardworking and were very respectable and polite when they were in my home. I was also very impressed with the supervisor Anthony who came to my house everyday, sometimes more than once in a day to keep me updated and to be sure that I didnt have any questions or concerns about the extensive job his employees were doing. I really appreciated Josh one of the supervisors taking his time to come to my house to ask if it was okay if the workers didnt come for a few days due to Christmas, because the job wasnt complete yet. I would like to thank Rafael for getting my kitchen sink that was extremely clogged back to working before Christmas. Lastly, Kenny is currently working on patching up the holes in the stucco that had to be done, everything looking good so far. Thanks Prodigy for getting my home plumbing back to working properly.

Overall pleased with Prodigy plumbing. the techs are friendly and knowledgeable. One aspect that does need to be improved is the scheduling side of the business as I experienced one no show for an appointment made 1 month prior and after calling that morning to confirm. I was also informed that they did not offer HVAC service although I had paid for a maintenance plan. After 5 phone calls finally got to someone who was aware and the situation was remedied.

Prodigy Plumbing repaired and lined 60 feet of sewer line from the clean out to the street. Whole lot roots. Ozzy came out and ran a camera down the line. Showed me the problem. Gave me quote. I would highly recommend using Prodigy Plumbing. Steven initially came out to replace my worn out shower valve and during his inspection found a leaky gas pipe which we needed repaired immediately. The technician who did our work, Mike, was personable and professional and did some great work, even when his initial fix on the gas pipe didnt work, he stayed on task and saw it through until the evening in our crawlspace to complete the job with flying colors. I will definitely be using Prodigy for all future plumbing fixes. Staff were skilled, personable, and professional. Quick and easy financing was available. Im content and pleased with the experience. Our plumber was Manny and he was fantastic. He showed up much earlier than we expected, he was professional and thoughtful the entire time he was here. Plumbing always makes us a little nervous but he made the whole experience very easy.I also really liked that there was no up sale of services, they were very clear about pricing and Manny was not only fast and efficient he was tidy! We were expecting a big mess from previous experiences, but Manny was great. He explained everything really well and was genuinely fantastic.We are going to call them again soon for more work, and they will now be our go to plumbers.

They attempt to charge extremely high prices. I wanted work done at my in-laws home and they provided a lump-sum, total cost for the job but would not show the break-down. It was very expensive...and when I asked for the break-down, I never heard from them again and they wouldnt return my emails.

The staff at Prodigy Plumbing and Heating are so awesome. I am an out of state property manager for a home in Long Beach, CA. It is not easy obtaining service since I am out of state. After contacting, Prodigy went to the house and provided me with a detailed report of what needed to be done, cost and estimated completion. Following my review of the information they provided me, I flew to Southern California and showed up at Prodigy office. Though it was late and they were nearly ready to close, the staff took their time and spent well over an hour with me going over each step. We have two phases and as they are both massive, we have broken up the work. Phase 1. Has been completed. They did a phenomenal job and kept in constant communication with me. When we are ready for Phase 2., we expect to contract with Prodigy to complete Phase 2.As a side note: my sister was so impressed with them and their work that she then hired them for some massive upgrades at her own home. That work has also been completed and she too is very pleased with outcome.

So expensive. We were quoted $200 per hour labor plus parts to move a gas line a few feet over. That’s like an attorney fee.We contacted them to investigate sediment and discoloration in our water. Were sold on a whole home filter. They installed it backwards and there is still sediment and discoloration. We also needed help with low water pressure. They tinkered but now still low water pressure. Multiple missed appointments as well. Total waste of time and money.

I had the worst experience a homeowner wants to have, my main backing up into my tub, gross! I asked someFriends for a referral and they referred me to Prodigy Plumbing. From the very beginning of calling in my problem they were courteous and helpful. I couldn’t get an appointment until the next day, but when the technician Manny came out he went straight to work. He was kind and explained everything that he was going to do. He took his time to explain the pricing and all the work that was going to take place. As it turns out, my issue was much bigger than I anticipated, so Manny called to have my main jetted. Here comes in Jerry, the senior technician. He was extremely informative and explained step by step what was happening and what to expect. I was also able to witness him mentoring and teaching his crew. The outcome was not what I would have wanted (but who really wants to have to replace pipes) but I know that it will be done in a professional manner by experts. Jerry went over pricing with me in detail and explained all my options. I asked lots of questions and he was patient and answered every single one, honestly more than once. All in all what a great group of guys, very knowledgeable and hard working. I would recommend Prodigy Plumbing time and time again. A+ in my book!

Alexis Gomez is an awesome plumber. He fixed everything that needed fixing (leaking faucets) and he replaced our garbage disposal. He was clean and he made sure I was happy with his work before he left. He also listened to my story about taking care of my 91 1/2 year old mother who has stage 4 cancer. Alexis showed empathy and kindness and spoke to me as a fellow human, not just as a customer. I highly recommend Alexis and would not hesitate to call him again, even though the prices at Prodigy are a little high. The first plumber they sent to us was not clean and he didn’t do a good job of fixing the faucet… that’s why we called back and got Alexis. The technician, Alexis, that came out to our house was incredibly helpful and kind. If the rest of the team at Prodigy is as good as Alexis, I would certainly think theyre the best around. We initially called prodigy plumbing to diagnose a hammering problem in a multi-unit property we manange. We hired two plumbers prior to calling Prodigy and both were unsuccessful in solving and repairing the problem correctly because we continued to have hammering. Finally, when Prodigy came, the did a thorough assessment of the home, found the problem and also a crack in the main pipe. We felt so confident in this team that we decided to repair all plumbing problems found including a RE-drain. This was a hefty job that no one wants to do, but we knew we found the right company. Their customer service plus financing options really helped make this a smooth transaction. Alberto was the main lead in this job and I couldnt be happier with how everything was executed. From start to finish, he made sure I was aware of all the details and made sure to keep me informed along with the tenants. Working with 3 sets of tenants during repair work is never easy, but he helped make it happen. Him and his team were efficient and genuinely concerned about our situation. When I told them I had a limited window of time for the repair, they formed a team and got the job done. They did an amazing job and took care of us. My favorite plumber was recently bought out by prodigy plumbing. Because I called my old plumbers phone number and got connected to prodigy, decided to give them a try. They were unable to fit me into their schedule for three days and the cost of the drain cleaning was about 30% higher than what I was accustomed to paying. My Old plumber gave me a guarantee every time he cleared drain that it would stay clear. Prodigy has no such guarantee. They did a fine job, but I will not be calling them again.

When I heard water dripping under my home I knew I must’ve had a pretty decent leak. I immediately went to Yelp and found Prodigy Plumbing had great ratings so I requested a quote from them and two other companies. Prodigy was the first to reply and said they could come out immediately. Their technician Luis was on time, personable and knowledgeable. What I thought was going to be super expensive and extensive repair ended up being simple and very reasonable. I thought we were going to need to re-pipe the house but he said with the exception of the pipe that had the leak, everything else looked fine. We hired Prodigy Plumbing to complete all of the plumbing issues found in our home inspection report - which was a very large list - and we are happy with their work. I did a big work in 2019, repiped the whole house with pex, no more pipes inside the slab. Whenever y call related to this job, the response is fast and they do it under warranty. Christian came yesterday, as the hot water faucet was leaking, and noticed that the box for the faucets in the laundry room was not done, as was indicated by the contract. We have used Prodigy Plumbing in the past and have gotten excellent service. They unclogged our sink for $99, just as advertised. This time, however, we were not as pleased.We called them for a clogged kitchen sink.Luis came and briefly looked at our pipes and noticed a small leak. He told us that he could tell from looking at the pipes that if he took them apart to try to fix the clog/leak that they would almost certainly fall apart and have to be replaced, which would cost about $400.We were not trying to spend that kind of money, but Luis said that taking the pipes apart would be necessary to fix the clog. We said No thanks and he left without charging us and without doing any work.My husband talked to another plumber who looked at the clog and recommended a liquid to use to clear it (not Drano, the strong stuff). The bottle of liquid cost $13 and the plumber charged $25 for his advice and assistance. We were able to clear the clog, and once the clog was cleared the leak also went away.I think that a persons experience with Prodigy may depend a lot on which individual plumber they get.

We closed on our house and needed to update the plumbing of the entire house from galvanized steel to copper. We had a leaking water heater that caused damage to interior walls, carpet and flooring. Our technician, Luis, turned off the water to stop the leaking, called the restoration company for us and helped us get the process of remediation started. They thoroughly pressure tested the gas lines and was able to zero in the location of the leak within the interior of the house. Prodigy did a great job putting a new sewer line into our new house. Our old clay line was so bad they had to put a new one in. They were able to do it with minimal impact to our yard. The crew was great, and they worked hard to get it done on one of the hottest days. We havent had a sewer problem since, and I was told the previous owners were snaking the drain every few months.I also had them run a drain and water for an outdoor shower at the same time and they did an amazing job.

Overall, I was pleased. We had major work done. A bit expensive but the workers were very professional. We asked if they could hook up a new bathroom faucet. Hector the lead guy came to do it. I was not home my brother handled it. Apparently Hector could not connect the faucet to our vanity and was frustrated saying we needed to get a new one. I needed an estimate on plumbing work. Matt scheduled me for the next day. Ozzy was here on time, crawled under the house, and took pictures. I had an estimate mailed to me within 30 minutes. To begin with, Mark who answer the phone call initially was fantastic off the bat. Mark was able to set up a same day appointment for the issue on hand. Then there was Bob the plumbing technician who arrived punctual between the timeframe Mark initially gave from 12 to 2 PM. When Bob or push the door Bob was very very friendly and very energetic. I had my house repiped (bathroom and kitchen had already been done). Matt Downs headed the project, Leo and Omar worked with him. This should have been a 2 day project, however they worked so efficiently they completed the project in 1 day! They were careful to put shrouds on the floor to keep it clean and cleaned up after the job was completed. Permits were drawn, the job passed inspection. I called Prodigy for a water leak in my upstairs bathroom shower. Mark answered the phone and took down all the information about the problem I described to him and said he could have a technicians come to the house and see what the problem was.Couple hours later the technician Luis came and did his investigation and determined the leak was from the area around the trip lever stopper. Luis was kind enough to just apply some caulk around the stopper plate. Hopefully that stopped the leak, will find out in the next couple days when the shower can be used again. Ozzy and his team are the absolute best plumbers I’ve ever came across. My wife and I had a major plumbing and gas issue that needed to be addressed immediately. When you need it done right call Mark and his team at Prodigy. After moving into our new house our tankless water heater was shutting down every few days, the first plumbing company from our home warranty company came out and looked at it couldnt decipher the problem. Marks team (Matt) came out and figured out that the original installation was done improperly, they made the corrections and no problem since. Honest good work still exists!

They told me two hours and that’s exactly how long it took. They also saved me $100 by being able to reuse a part that was still in good condition. Bonus: they also used vinegar to clean up some calcium deposits around my faucet, most plumbers don’t do that. Great experience, highly recommended! :)

Very old water heater started leaking at one of my rentals. Called Prodigy Plumbing at 8:00 am. They arrived at 9:00 am and finished installing a new Bradford Water Heater with new steel stand by 12:00 pm. Prodigy did not give the lowest estimate, but if you want a plumber to start in 1 hour and finish by lunch time, this is the company to call. The two man crew were professional, knowledgeable and experienced. I supervised the work from start to finish and was happy with their service. They also had a $75 for $100 deal from Yelp!

Called on Wednesday and the next day Luis showed up early and got right to fixing the leak in our copper pipe in the overhead in our kitchen. 90 minutes later he was done and we had no leak. Excellent work. Thanks Luis!

Prodigy Plumbing did an awesome job, very quick response. The technicians name was Robert he explained diffent options and solutions the company could provide for our problem, he was here for close to 40 minutes and done. If I have an issue in the future they will be the first plumber that I call.

Tony came after a late night sewage emergency within half an hour, guided us on how to stop the water flow on the phone before he arrived, cleared the mainline sewage clog and was extremely nice and professional. He used tools to determine the cause of the clog after cleared and gave us someoptions on how to prevent another clog in the future. Would recommend any day!

Have had great experiences with Prodigy. First time using them was for a nasty clog in our kitchen sink. Second was for adding plumbing for a dishwasher and water/ice dispenser fridge. Will be using them again soon for our little old house

Weve gone through some strange plumbing companies over the years...I guess that it comes with the territory when you live in Long Beachs Rancho neighborhood. We called Prodigy after being disappointed by Family Plumbers a second time and they were awesome! Caesar was punctual, professional and fixed our sewer issue promptly. Prodigy is definitely the best!

Had an emergency on a Sunday morning. The tech came in for an estimate but could not give me one. He did plug the hole on the pipe. I was told I would get a call later on that Sunday. Did not get a call until Tuesday morning and only because I texted the person I originally spoke with. Another tech came in Tuesday afternoon and gave me an estimate. He ended up doing less than originally thought. In looking at what was done, no way it is 470 dollars worth of work. I should have been given another estimate but I was in dire need to be back up and running. So, my experience was not a good one and I feel I was way overcharged.

Just used Prodigy Plumbing on Thursday. We had a really bad clogged bathroom line. Eddie and Jerry kept at it for over 2 hours and got it cleared. They charged me the same amount as quoted !!I would recommend these guys for your plumbing needs.Thanks again.
