The front staff and servers were very friendly and did a great job. The location on the outer edge near the parking lot of the District makes it an easy go place. The food was very tasty. For groups or parties, they have a nice private dining room inside as well as a nice heated patio dining area.

Prego isnt your typical Italian eatery. You wont find white and red checkerboard table sheets, melted candles in Chianti bottles, or pictures of grandmas in flowery aprons cooking sauce hanging on every wall.What you will find is a modern, elegant Italian restaurant, with friendly staff and really good food.We started off with the Asparagi Fritti. Hot and crispy (fried) asparagus, served with a dipping sauce and lemon. Its what you expect and a great appetizer to start off with.The wild salmon with potatoes and broccolini was also very good, but that short rib pasta — come on now ...so so good. The short rib literally melts in your mouth. If youre looking for pasta, but dont want the typical pasta served with red sauce, I highly recommend this dish.As I mentioned before, the staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant was clean, but the inner side of the booths could have used a scrub down. The atmosphere was elegant, but not pretentious (Levis and a shirt are fine). Prices are a bit on the higher side, but wont break the bank.

A friends husband threw a surprise birthday party at this location and boy was i impressed. The food was all so delicious, especially the lobster ravioli. It was out of this world but honestly everything was amazing.

Fairly descent Italian restaurant with a focused menu on good authentic Italian cuisine. The indoor ambience is relaxing and the service and waitress were great. no complain at all.Tried their soup of the day, did taste delicious and home made, with no extra unnecessary additives.The Cesar salad was up to the quality and well dressed and right amount of ingredients.last was their pasta plate with surprised us by tasty it was. again well cooked and very well seasoned with the Sauce and the rouged beef was really cooked through and had a great taste into it. hard to get that beef prepared that well and I have to admire the chef.I highly recommend this place.

It was my first time coming here and I loved it!! My wife made reservations for fathers day! They had a fathers day menu and it was amazing! The staff was great and friendly and they called us right away for our reserved table. The food was great I loved it they were kind enough to change the sauce on my seafood Marinara..instead of getting spicy tomato sauce I switched it with lobster sauce! 🦞 😋 and it was and amazing choice definitely recommend it!! 👌 😄

Highly recommend! We made a last minute reservation for New Years Eve and werent expecting much, but had a great experience! The food was amazing with the taste of homemade and beautiful presentation. One of my kids had the lobster ravioli and said it was the best ever! The service was very friendly and I loved that they werent rushing through orders. One waiter mentioned that management decided to ask the full staff to work on NYE, which clearly showed and made our experience much more enjoyable vs when waiting staff is really stretched and your food takes too long because theyre short on staff in the kitchen. Lovely atmosphere, too. You wont be disappointed!

My entire experience at Prego was exemplary! From the hostess, to the server, bartender and chef - each person helped make our evening special! The food was exceptional! My husband enjoyed the Rib Eye special and I loved the lobster Ravioli! My sincere appreciation goes to Ruth Lee and Tony Bedi for making Prego a destination for special events to family gatherings! The food is spectacular, and the service is top notch. The owners are frequently there and very attentive. The restaurant is well run and it shows. The atmosphere is what really makes the experience in my opinion, perfect for a date night. The Happy Hour is also great and can be a bit more of a casual experience. If you have not been it is absolutely worth giving a try, you wont be disappointed!

That is a fancy Italian restaurant. Our waitress is very nice. She explained menu carefully to us. The starter is asparagus fries. It is not only tasty but also beautiful. 5~6 asparagus stood as a mini grove. I ordered lamb chops for entrée. My wife chose the short rib pasta. My kids ordered salmon and lasagna. First of all, I like the garnish. Also, the lamb chop was worth of every penny (its expensive). Its delicious and smooth. The medium rare lamb is perfect. I also like the salty rice. The short rib pasta is also good. But it is too salty for us. My kids liked their choices as well. Nice place.

We came here on a Sunday night around 7pm with family and our 1.5 year old daughter and were blown away by the great service, yummy food, and warm yet classy ambiance.Our waitress was personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We also loved the bartender Nikki who was so sweet to our daughter. She saw that my daughter was resisting her high chair and was curious by her surroundings. So Nikki took the time to talk to her and even brought out some bubbles. It was so kind of her to help entertain our daughter for a little bit. She was so great!On to the food...We ordered the rib eye steak, lamb, and seafood platter and it was all delicious and cooked/seasoned to perfection!Ive inquired about private parties here before (havent booked one yet) but they definitely have the space for it! The decor was lovely and it was so spacious with different rooms you can rent for your event.Overall, great spot for a yummy meal with great service...side note my hubby and dad loved how there were TVs in the bar area so they could watch the game. We will be back!

Overall, it was disappointing. I arranged my twin and my birthday and was happy to be able to get the amount of us in without having to have a fixed menu. The restaurant is beautiful, and the service started out great. The appetizers were actually good, too. But then the dinner happened. I dont know that anyone was truly pleased with their food. I know I barely was able to eat mine due to the quality of the cook on my fish. The desserts were embarrassing.I think for smaller parties, 6 or less, you might have a more successful experience. For our party of 14+, it just wasnt up to par.

They have plenty of outdoor space and soon we can dine inside again (hopefully soon) ⁣⁣🍝 you’ve gotta try their lasagna. Super comforting and delicious. Salmon 🐠 was good too. We love coming here for our weekly family dinners and we love it. We decided to do our baby shower here and it was wonderful, everyone enjoyed themselves so much and the staff were just incredible. I got so many compliments on people living their lunch. We set everything up through Brittany their event coordinator, she’s the sweetest and they were so flexible about everything. I had some diet restrictions I have to follow and couldn’t go by the set menu we chose they were sos sweet on working with me about that. I also requested some fruit and juices for the mimosa bar we did, it turned out so cute for everyone and they ordered juices to make it work :) we asked to come early to set up and they already had everything out in the patio for us to work with, extra tables and table clothes and cloth napkins… the u shaped table was already set up. And we had so many options to chose from depended on how many people showed up. I invited 50, 30 came so the patio was able to accommodate ether… the heaters were fantastic and it was nice to be on the outdoors for those that were COVID concerned for being in the fresh air.

A very clean restaurant, well lit, and with a beautiful interior. A great wine list, but dont look for beer here. Or non alcoholic beverages.Service was good. Food was delicious, and their chef does an amazing job with planning the menu here. There are modern classics, as well as their take on traditional Italian dishes.The Italian dishes here are not prepared with traditional ingredients - but are delicious nonetheless.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant tonight, Ive read so many reviews about how good the food is. Will this may be a shocker but the food and the service is both terrible. From the get go things did not go our way. We first ordered a Margherita pizza as an appetizer. I never thought that an Italian restaurant could burn a pizza, but this restaurant managed to do that. Then we ordered our entrees. I got the salmon, and it was just bland. No taste at all. My wife got the carbonaro with shrimp and it was just filled with sauce, nasty stuff. Its low quality food. Definitely would not come back

A bit pricey for the food delivered and they don’t even give you bread for starters…if one ends up paying $35/head just for one course at lunch without drinks…one would think you’d get at least some complimentary bread and olive oil. The food tasted fine…but not $35/head fine.

Prego is hands down the best Italian Restaurant in OC, food is fantastic, service is flawless and above all super clean, very affordable and they have these amazing events such as wine or whiskey dinner/events. I have been going to Prego for the past 15 years, is by far one our favorite spots.

Despite being a group of 12, their policy allowed only 2 bottles of self brought wine to be opened at the table. The cork fee was $25 per bottle and whether you have dinner with a group of 3 or 16, the policy won’t allow them to open more than 2 bottles for you. Also, once the water glasses and food were served, nobody checked on our table during our entire 2+ hour stay to see if everything is ok or to refill our water glasses. However, they added an 18% tip to the check even though the service was inadequate at best. They also didn’t want us to split the check and let us pay each our share. Their policy allows a max number of 4 credit cards for payments. Their bathrooms looked very neglected and disgusting.Overall, we won’t consider going there anytime soon. Customer service was disappointingly poor and parties of 10 or more people get charged a $25 cancellation fee if they cancel their plans within 24hrs.

I went with a group. Service was fantastic. We had a pizza appetizer and calamari both were great. Ordered the rib eye steak. I had a conversation with the server to please put a note to make my steak medium rare. Error on under cooking it. It came out on a sizzling hot pan. Great effect but it is cooking rapidly as you sit there cutting it. By the second bite it was well done and dry. The rest of the steak was almost ruined. It was a birthday celebration and I didn’t want to be rude so I didn’t send it back but it was really disappointing for a $50 piece of meat.

The bar drinks were excellent. I had the salmon and was cooked perfectly in season very well. The desserts were also very good, at least the ones I had a taste of. What a lovely and inviting atmosphere! We were greeted with smiles and welcomes as we were taken to our table. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and complimented Chefs menu before we had a bite. From our calamari and asparagus fries appetizers, to the tiramisu dessert, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. It was the perfect night to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday! Our table ordered several dishes: calamari was very tasty and is served with 2 sauces, pizza with prosciutto (forget the name) had a cheese Ive never heard of but it was also delicious. The chicken parm was huge! My husband very much enjoyed it. The pasta dish with crab, lobster, and shrimp was excellent and filling. The lobster ravioli was very well liked among the table, as well. All in all, we all had a great experience and will be back.

Came here after my wedding day to have a nice dinner. The food was great but our server was not. He wasn’t very friendly and or informative about the wine, he didn’t check in on us throughout the dinner to see if we needed anything (other servers did) he was very short with responses and seemed agitated when we asked questions and laughed when I requested a specific wine. He got upset and once again laughed when we asked if we could have separate checks and told us no it wasn’t possible even though the menu states no more than 4 separate checks. He also automatically added a tip of $50 to our bill as if it was deserved. I have never experienced a server like I did that night and my husband and our family were VERY upset at the experience. He later apologized but that did not excuse his actions for the night. The hosts and other servers were very nice and welcoming and food was great.

We came here for a GNO to celebrate our birthdays and the staff here was SO attentive and friendly. We never had to ask for our water to be refilled and the server checked in on us often to make sure we were doing well. The decor and ambiance was lovely too! We ordered some cocktails, asparagus fries, calamari, the 2 specials of the day, linguine vongole, seafood marinara, grilled shrimp salad, tiramisu and chocolate ganache. They even brought us a complimentary birthday dessert. Everyone enjoyed the food and agreed we would love to come back to try some of the dishes we didn’t get to try this time around.

We celebrated my birthday. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed the wedge salad, pasta with sausage, brocollini, cheese, and tiramasu for dessert. I went here on my birthday with my fiancé David. At first, things got off to a rough start. The never lit our candle at the table and it was pretty dark. And then when I ordered a Shirley Temple, it had no taste and was a very pale pink and had no cherries. Also, the ice was filled almost all the way full in the glass, so there was hardly any liquid. I did not want to have a bad experience and to have to keep asking for things for my birthday, so I immediately asked for a manager. Del Ruiz, the manager, was very nice and he made sure everything was okay. He checked on us again in the middle of our meal. They remade my drink and all was good. Joe was our waiter and he took care of us very well. I ordered the Calamari. It was delicious! I also ordered the Lobster Ravioli which was excellent! My fiancé ordered the Piccata Sole. We both loved it. The atmosphere was very chic, very beautiful. I would definitely go back.

Pros:Convenient, central location. Pizzas and the truffle fries were good (but pricey).Cons:Not great for vegetarians. Maybe one (non Pizza) option for vegetarians. Cocktails were so-so (and no one asked if we would like a second or alternative drink). It felt dark in the restaurant. Very expensive for the type (and quality) of dishes served.

The best food item on the menu is the steak salad. If they were smart theyd offer the same steak as an entrée. I tried to order the steak as an entree and even after 4 attempts they couldnt get it right. Its a shame because the steak salad is delicious. The steak itself is juicy. Its unfortunate that this restaurant nickels and dimes you. They used to offer complimentary bread now they charge you for it. The other dishes Ive tried were mediocre and if I want good pasta Id walk a few steps and go to Luna Rosa which is right next to the AMC movie theater.

I was there for Happy hour. Their HH hours are 2 - 7 PM weekdays and 3 PM to closing on weekends. Since I was there early on a Wednesday, it was very quiet. Service was great, Shaun was the bartender and was very nice. I had the cheese pizza for $6. You can add toppings for $1 each. It is a thin crust and quite large so even with added toppings it is a great buy. It is large enough to share. Sorry, I didnt check the other options. Great ambience and friendly service. The food is moderately expensive but the Happy hour is lit!
