Took my 2022 Cayenne for the 20k service and heres what they did. In addition to charging $15k for the 20k service, charged $170 for oil (why the extra charge when I am already paying for the service? BTW the car takes 8 quarts but they charged for 10 quarts), changed the remote battery without asking and charged (I had changed it not too long ago), charged $18 for adding window washer fluid. Also charged cabin filter - $90. And why add the engine additive (performance kit for $83) without asking? This is not the way to treat a customer and definitely not an honest way to run a business.

Our Cayenne was experiencing a battery issue and he took the time to look through the past history on our vehicle and work with us on how to best resolve the battery issue. Had 2 rear tires replaced and 4-wheel alignment done on a Saturday. Waited 2 1/2 hours for the work to be completed which was in line with the service advisors estimate. Comfortable waiting area and I received frequent updates on the work progress.

I have owned several Porsche models over the years and love the cars. Unfortunately when it comes to the service side of things the fees for most anything are outrageous. I could go into detail but it really doesnt matter. I can get things done elsewhere for half the price that Porsche charges and in many instances even a greater discount. I feel like every time I go in Im getting advantage of.

Interfacing with the service rep, Michael, was informative, pleasant, and unpressured. They dove deep into assessing the key problems I wanted addressed as well as performed a 24 point inspection to ID the things I didn’t realize needed attention. Checked in at the appointed time for service. No wait, valet was prompt. Went to the waiting area which resembles an airline lounge. Shop manager quickly confirmed the issue I had with the car. My wife asked to wait for the service. She was there for 3 hours and 20 mins.! Not a happy experience this time. It is important to let a customer know how long the service will take. You have the service records so this should not be difficult for a routine service. Wasting several hours is not acceptable. You can and have done better for us in the past. I purchased my car at this dealership specifically, because of their reputation for great service, both sales and car services. This was my first 10,000 mile service and they were amazing. Chris, was very friendly and professional. He went over the details of my service, I was in and out quickly, I didn’t have to wait. My appointment was later in the day, originally I was told my car would be ready the following morning, but Chris was able to have my car worked on sooner and ready the same day. They had a loaner car for me to use if needed, or a ride home. I would highly recommend their service department, especially if you live in the area.

Updating my previous review as the level of service was much better when I took my car back for the same issue. Paul was very responsive when I asked for a status of my car. He also made sure it was charged at pick up. I advise working with him if you have a random clicking noise in your car. Hopefully it wont return again!

Update after receiving car that they PPId. One tire was 57psi, others in the 30s. In what world does a premium Porsche certification inspection not check and equalize tire pressures? It even said that they were checked on the report.Original review:Leaves a lot to be desired from a PPI experience. On the positive front, they took the car in the next day. However thats where the goodness ends. They attempted to charge me $800 for a PPI.. this is double, maybe triple what anywhere else charges. They did not complete the PPI when promised and did not reach out to inform of the schedule. Interaction is via texts primarily and they arent responsive. Results of the PPI were like pulling teeth, I struggled to get a hold of a competent technician who actually knew what he was talking about and wasnt a degree removed and just going by the book. They also promised to inspect suspect things and then ultimately did not. They do a comprehensive test drive which I learned is a 3 minute loop outside. A few parts were needed and getting a good perspective with parts breakdowns and labor / paint services was impossible and never provided, although they were happy to attempt to try to sell me some indeterminate solution for $3,700 through an automated form that provides zero information. Huge disconnect in this respect. Had to call probably six times to get anything truly useful. Also when calling their main line, youre routed to an offshore call center so its hard to get through to the local shop. Now I am sure that their mechanics/technicians are super qualified and know their stuff better than anyone, but the service experience wraparound was comically inadequate and caused me great hassle and frustration. I have dealt with three other Porsche factory locations and never had an experience this disjointed let alone faced price inflation like this place attempted, and with services promised that were not completed. I would begrudgingly use them again if I had to but would prepare better, and only engage if I determined ahead of time that I had a competent and invested service advisor middleman who knew his stuff, would give me access to the actual tech that worked on the car, and who would be forthcoming and price things fairly.

Not only that i paid a very high rate on my 2018 macan …then I was offered a very inconsiderate payoff and a dismissing approach when i wanted to sell them the car. And now i am being ignored for over a month in regards to a refund of my gap insurance costs, which i was promised by the financial department- specifically Phill. Very frustrating service and dishonest. Also had a very bad experience with the service department which almost cost me thousands!! In unnecessary expenses. After a visit in the Pasadena location issues were solved free of any charge! Will definitely buy my next Porsche elsewhere!

Typically I wouldn’t buy new tires from a dealership. Southbays prices on new set of Michelins were not only competitive, but even less expensive than my local tire shop. Additionally I could trust the service department to take the necessary precautions against any wheel damage during installation. Very disorganized and expensive.We needed to service our Cayenne, so my husband called to make an appointment. No one picked up. He left a voicemail. They never called us back. After making an appointment online, I dropped off the car and was informed theyd call the next day with an update. I didnt hear from them until 3 days later. Pretty annoying since they didnt give us a loaner. Now Im getting automated texts to the name Moore (not my name).And then it was $3k for a basic service + wheel alignment! And, they didnt even report back re: an issue I was having with the shift.Kinda a cluster when youd expect a seamless experience.

I specifically took my car in for a nail in my tire. I only wanted Porsche to take care of this as I have a warranty and didn’t want my rim damaged. I noticed after arriving home a gash to my rim that was done when the new tire was put on. Always good work, but crazy cost for an oil change and changing of air filter purity for in the car. It only had 6,100 miles on the car. $2100.00 for service #2!!! This is so much in unnecessary changes, filters go bad on 6100 miles in the interior of the car???Really, and if you don’t do it they cannot guarantee the warranty if something goes wrong?I am frosting over this !! The service and follow up were exemplary. The communication was great my only disappointment was in the delivery. I went to pick up my vehicle ad it was dripping with dew and dirtier then when I dropped it off. Once I pointed it out, the service person took the car to the car wash on my behalf. My car was dropped off at 8 AM and was promised the same day and I did not receive my car until almost noon the next day. Minus one star for that. I brought my car in for a necessary safety recall. Once there, I learned that my car needed 3 safety recalls performed. I was told I needed to make an appointment so they could order the parts. The following week I show up for my appointment and had to demand to be serviced because they only had parts for 2 of the recalls and wanted me to come back at a later date so they could do all 3 at the same time. This disregards the appointment that THEY had for me that day. Upon receiving by diagnostic, I was told that my engine was leaking and that it was unclear where the leak was coming from. I was then told I needed to have the underside of my car cleaned. I was not given a location of where I could do this that is recommended by Porsche. I was not given a quote of how much the service would cost. Because they claimed that my car was dirty on the underside they could not properly diagnose the issue of the leak and therefore I do not know what needs to be fixed. -2 stars for that. This business only cares for the big bucks from new cars. I was even once lied to on the phone that this dealership doesn’t service my Cayenne anymore bc it’s too old and they don’t have the readers for it anymore. Lies. I came back a few weeks later for the recalls and was told they never got rid of the diagnostic computer for my car.

Went there to correct a ntsb recall for panamera headlights. Was disappointed when i was told I couldnt just do an oil change but forced to buy a package that includes pull change.... Absolutely horrible. Dishonest sales advisor tried to tell me that a car that was fully covered was still subject to a $318.00 Diagnostic fee. Also tried to sell me a battery and install for $1200.00 which was covered under warranty, and tried to charge me $650.00 to make an adjustment to the emergency brake. I kept getting texts to set appt but no one ever replied, I tried for weeks to get a response? Texts ask you to text back?. 2. I feel I was very upsold $800 worth of unneeded alignment and injection system service without any diagnosis. In all my years there I don’t recall a service advisor upselling me - especially with only a year or so left on my lease. I imagine commission earned - I get it, still feel ill for agreeing to it. But - at the end of the day we love our Porsche’s, best cars in the world and I appreciate the South Bay folks.

Let me start out by saying my service rep (Jimmy) was great in explaining what was happening and kept me in the loop the entire way.Anyway, I went to South Bay Porsche since my 2016 Cayenne driver’s side door liner separated and took the window regulator with it. (Based on forums, the door liner is a becoming a common problem for 6+ year old Porsches. Perhaps there will be a class action in the near future.) I fully expected to pay a premium for labor since I was going to the dealership but the problem I have is with parts pricing and the nickel and diming that goes on here.I was quoted $3055 for the door liner and $327 for the window regulator. Talking with a few Porsche dealers, I was able to find the same parts for at or below MSRP, $1600 and $108 respectively. That’s 2-3x Porsche MSRP!!! Unfortunately, I already approved the work to be done but Jimmy was able to cancel it. He then told me that I‘d have to pay a freight charge of $199 since the parts had already been ordered. I accepted it at the time and scheduled to pick up my vehicle since I no longer trusted them to charge a fair price nor did I trust that they’d do the repair honestly.When I showed up at the dealership to pick up my vehicle and to pay the inspection fee, I asked for a printout that the parts had been ordered and that there was a non refundable $199 freight charge. I was told that they were able to cancel the order successfully and that the freight charge was only an estimate based on the part. I was also told that freight isn’t billed until after the part is received. No explanation could be given why I was being charged freight when the order was cancelled and not shipped other than it being policy. Again, no policy was presented for review.I believe that there are some good honest workers there that are just doing as told but the dealership is not honest in their service or billing. I can only imagine that this is also happening with the pricing of new vehicles too. Going forward, I’d much rather make the trek out to Rusnak in Pasadena.

Porsche taycan 2020Upgrade software 2023 standards.When I picked up my car i had to reset everything. I could not figure everything. I had to get a service rep and we called Porsche.When a customer picks up a Porsche for software upgrade. Their should be a service adviser to go over the software to make sure everything is programmed correctly. This is a ongoing problem with the taycan.
