We highly recommend this company.Our move was complex. We were moving from California to Florida with some of our belongings sent to our second home in Chicago. Additionally, because the Florida home was delayed in completion, Pools arrange for storage in California. 9 months later, everything reappeared without a scratch. On time.Abby Cade was our coordinator and the only point of contact the whole time. She was always prompt in addressing our concerns, and was a pleasure to deal with.

Apart from safe delivery of our stuff - cross country - he was able to back into a narrow road in front of our driveway which was a feat in itself! Both Ivan and Fabiola, his team mate, worked hard and diligently with a well coordinated effort. The unpacking crew was great as well they were jovial, light hearted, worked hard and carefully unpacked our stuff.We are very glad we decided to go with Pools Moving and Storage Company/Allied. Our experience with Pools Moving was exceptional for our cross country move. From the very first time we engaged with the staff at Pools the customer care was thoughtful, attentive and put our minds at ease. Communication was exceptional. The movers were professional, on time, handled our items with care and went above and beyond to make sure our moving process was as stress free as possible. I highly recommend Pools Moving and am so grateful for the care they provided during our move.
Moving. Always stressful and a lot of work. We left California for Idaho with an interim months long period in the Midwest while new home was being finished. Shopped multiple moving companies, found two that made us comfortable (nearly same cost) and settled on Pools Moving and Storage. Move happened in October 21 with household goods placed in storage until delivery in May 22. Team that did packing and move to storage was outstanding. Four experienced gentlemen who were competent, careful, and pleasant to work with on this outbound leg. Not sure how items were stored but delivery in May was also outstanding. Again, four experienced gentlemen who accomplished delivery, including reassembly, of various furniture in six hours. Still unpacking but very, very little damage noted. The linchpin on this move was Abby from Pools who coordinated everything including pricing and timing for both pickup and delivery. She was super responsive throughout the move and a pleasure to work with. This was an expensive move but again, right in line with other options we explored. Pools honored (important t word, big compliment) all of its quotes even with the substantial increases in fuel prices that occurred between pickup and delivery. So no downside surprises. Quality of service was high across the board. Worth it and definitely would use again.
We made a huge move from California to Massachusetts, and we found Pools through Allied Moving. They had extremely good reviews about getting things from point A to point B safely, and they did just that. After loading the truck at our origin, they took our shipment to a warehouse where it was then loaded along with 3 other shipments going to the East Coast. At that point, the same delivery driver took it the entire way. The driver was especially helpful upon delivery and even helped us put back together our home-built table, fixing a couple loose screws along the way. I would definitely use Allied & Pools moving again for a big move.
Working with Pools/Allied for a cross-country move, I was incredibly impressed. Abby was great at dealing with all the details and timing involved, and communicating throughout the planing and move itself. The moving teams on both sides of the move were fast, careful and courteous and we couldnt have been more pleased. It was easily the best coordinated and executed move Ive done. Allied did a great job with my cross- country move. The entire team from the marketing POC to the packers, movers and driver were professional, responsive, polite and handled our move with great care. I particularly want to call out Abby Cade who really provided top notch customer support, advice throughout the entire planning. She provided detailed information, set correct expectations, sprung to action quickly when we realized we needed a permit for the truck to come into our neighborhood and kept me abreast of everything along the way. She was AMAZING!! Great experience overall!
Abby was the co-ordinator and was very responsive and explained things to me about moving seeing as we had not done this before. She took a lot of the stress out of our move on the administrative side. As for our driver, Gary was awesome too! Very nice guy and let us know pretty much the day he and his crew picked up our belongings in CA, when he would be arriving in TX. Upon delivering our belongings, again Gary and his Texas crew were quick and friendly. Nothing was damaged or missing, as is often the case with some other companies. I am always hesitant about picking the right moving company but the service that Abby and her team provided was top-notch from beginning to the end of my move. They did an excellent job packing our entire household (4BD house). I would absolutely recommend!
From start to finish the service teams were amazing. Abbey scheduled, planned and responded to every question and need as we underwent our move from California to New Mexico. The driver, Joe, his loaders and unloaders were excellent and moved all our items with care and courtesy. The team went above and beyond to make sure appliances, furniture and all belongings were placed in appropriate rooms and functioning properly. We used Pool’s in 2015 for a cross country move & it was a GREAT experience! When my dad passed away in February & I needed to move some of his belongings cross country, it was a given that I would go back to Pool’s. This “move” was a little different as I wasn’t there & it just wasn’t a typical move. I was also moving a motorcycle. Abby did a phenomenal job communicating everything with me & she was always so kind especially when dealing with me in such a delicate state. She answered all my questions & well she was just great! Abby at Pools was incredibly helpful and responsive to my emails and calls throughout my move. We ended up contracting with a very reliable and thorough cross country mover who picked our stuff up from the West Coast and also delivered them in the East Coast. No damaged items nor items lost. I was very happy with the move.

I used Pool’s as an agent for Allied for a move from CA to AZ. Abby was very responsive when I was reaching out for quotes/booking. Once the move started it went off without a hitch. Everything was picked up and dropped off on time. Moving across country, from California to Georgia, was monumental in and of itself, and finding the right moving company was imperative. Id heard nightmare stories before, including those regarding items held for ransom until a higher-than-agreed-on price was paid, and decided to go with a highly-rated, reputable moving company. So, we went with the #1 rated company, Allied, and Im so glad that we did. The four-man group of movers assigned to us were incredible - I have never seen men engage in such a high level of team work before.The packing day was a long, 10-hour event, from start to finish, and these guys kept their spirits up throughout the entire day. They disassembled, wrapped, and loaded our furniture and other possessions in a most caring manner and boxed up items that we hadnt gotten to yet.I think what impressed me most, in addition to the seamless manner in which the men worked and moved, was the fact that one truly gets what you pay for. The men were professional and extremely personable, from start to finish, and although my husband and I tried to stay out of their way, there were times when we clearly hindered their forward motion, yet not once did any of them express frustration or unhappiness.Delivery to our rented storage unit in Georgia was even smoother than the original packing, both of which required the use of a smaller truck to offload our belongings to and from the huge semi, due to size constraints. When we met up with the team a couple of days ago, and about 9 days after the move, we all greeted one-another like old friends.We are beyond grateful for the outstanding service provided by Pools Moving and Storage and Allied Van Lines. Deciding to go with Allied was absolutely one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.
Ive known people who have had horrible cross country moving experiences and as such was nervous selecting a company to help us move. Pools was absolutely amazing every step of the way. Considering the number of changes we had to make in regards to both the move date (ended up pushing it back 6 months) to the number of items being moved Pools knocked it out of the park. Not only were they communicative the whole time but each of their crews were outstanding at what they did.When we got to our final destination both trucks, one with our house and one with our cars showed up the exact same day which allowed us to check out of the hotel and get into our house 2 days early. Would definitely use them again.

He went above and beyond to make our move as effortless as possible. The moving crews both in California and Texas were polite and professional and fast. Over all we would use them again.

I needed to move most of our belongings but not furniture quickly across country which I knew would be a challenge. After calling most of the major moving companies and getting passed on to others, I was referred to Pools. It was a Friday afternoon, Abby said she had a truck going to the state I needed with room for our things that was leaving Sunday if I could be ready. Being any other options were a month or more later, I got ready. After having a battery issue with his truck, Liviu and his crew arrived and packed up. I had labeled the items to be moved and we did a walk through to verify before and after packing. Otherwise, I let them do their thing. Communication with Abby and Liviu was very good and each responded promptly to any questions I had. The truck made it to its destination the next Saturday as promised..

FIVE STARS for Pools Moving & storage! We moved from CA to PA and the move was flawless! Abby and Vickie in the office were professional and kind and answered all our questions. Alicia, the estimator, was efficient and very friendly. Other bids I received did not even send an estimator. Bogdan, the driver, and his crews loaded and unloaded the truck efficiently on both ends. Our Unload even involved reloading onto a smaller truck because the 18 wheeler could not be accomodated in PA. Thank you ALL for your professionalism and good humor during a stressful time of life!
Moving out of state from a 2,100 square foot house, I had much trepidation. Prior to contacting Pool’s, I contacted two other movers. One called from 300 miles away and wanted to do a video tour to give me an “estimate”. (I think he was a broker.) The second sent two people out, and although I explained in detail what I wanted, I got a lowball quote with hidden fees alluded to in the fine print. (What is a “partial pack”?) So I took some good advice and contacted a big name mover – Allied. I was put in touch with Pool’s.What can I say? They were superb in every detail. The onsite evaluation was professionally done. Abby, the owner, was a joy to deal with. The three movers (Hector, Sal, and Robert) were timely, VERY competent, efficient, and went well out of their way to meet my needs.I guess I could go on, but the bottom line is: Go with this mover for a stress free move that will exceed expectations.

Had to get items packed and stored to place my house on the market for an out of state move. Abby was outstanding. The men who came to pack things up were professional and hard working. They all showed concern for my dog and for me. I told my daughter about the company and they using it too along with my son- in-laws dad.
I would highly reccommend using Pools Moving and Storage. They were very professional and careful with all my items when I moved from out of state. They notified me on time as to their arrival date and time and took sincere care in placement and assembly of all my furniture. The crew is very professional and responsible in doing the job with care and excellence.
The move coordinator Abby, did not go over all the details which created issues. The packers crated my grandfather clock at my home which the miliary had paid for. After my household goods left my house the movers uncreated my clock and destroyed the crate without my permission.When my household goods were delivered, some items were unpacked and were in ripped plastic bags.The driver wanted me to sign saying all items were received and he never provided the master inventory sheet. The driver was only concerned about getting paid and he had another job to off load. The packers are thieves and liars! Save your hard earned money

Based on friendliness and helpfulness I would have given 5 stars. Especially since we moved across the country during a pandemic. But my husband’s upright double bass arrived totally smashed, most of my serving plates are broken, and a replica dinosaur skeleton I can’t get anymore was smashed. That’s only so far, we are only half way through the unpacking. The double bass was the worst part, no effort was made to keep it safe. It was just tossed lose in the truck. We’re absolutely gutted.
Very professional and thorough. All items arrived at our new house with no damage. Packing was exceptional. Very friendly crew I would recommend this company and crew to anyone who was moving.
Two issues Ive noticed so far as Ive unpacked 12 boxes out of 100 boxes is:1. boxes not labeled very well for contents: eg kit box said dry food which I really wanted to find but it only had a bag of coffee & potatoes/pans2. salt & pepper shakers wrapped in packing paper, not plastic bag to prevent spills; 1/2 of salt & pepper made a mess when unwrapped.
Abby and Vicky are very helpful. Knowledgeable, and professional. If you require these qualities in your moving company. They are your place to go.
The service was great. Everyone I’ve dealt with was professional and friendly. Both are packing crew and the unloading crew work great and Bob prank the driver was super. They stuck to their price and it was a smooth process.

2024-06-30 20:40:47I moved from the SF Bay Area to Washington State. I did some research about interstate moves and reached out to Allied which led me to Pools. From my first contact with Abby to the day my belongings were unloaded in my new house, my experience was excellent. Everyone was professional, thoughtful, efficient, fair and kind. Moving is stressful but I never once doubted that my stuff was in good hands. I dont anticipate needing to make a major move again, but if so, wouldnt hesitate to start with Pools Moving & Storage. Highly recommend.

We ultimately went back to Allied because their price was competitive and their vibe was trustworthy. Abby especially convinced us. She was clear, honest and prompt in every communication.The on-the-ground teams in CA and NY were professional, fast and careful. Our driver was great and he stayed in communication from departure to arrival. All in all this was a big move for us and Allied (Pools Moving & Storage) executed brilliantly on it.

2024-01-24 04:33:19After 12.5 years in Oakland, we moved to Portland to be near family. I wish I could give 10 stars. Our experience with Pools Moving was stellar and about as stress free as a move can be. Abbys communication helped make all the difference in the world. We even changed plans about 3 weeks before the move date (we found an apartment versus having our stuff in storage) and she got us a driver. The crews on both pick up and delivery were great and really nice people. Moving depends on the strength of strangers. I would highly recommend using Pools for your next move. You wont regret it.

The packing team were great - quick, efficient and very professional. They were also a caring team willing to help and answer questions. The movers were great too. The driver was calm timely with arrival and also very reassuring we were in good hands. He called ahead of time for pick up and drop off and always had a smile on his face, as did the two teams he worked with. Everything flowed smoothly, everything was accounted for. We experienced no losses.We want to thank Abby and her teams for all the help and guidance, their professionalism and efficiency. We will most certainly recommend them to all our friends and acquaintances. From our inquiries, scheduling, and billing with Abby who was extremely helpful in every detail; with Albert who estimated the total weight - including furniture and number of boxes needed with unbelievable accuracy, with the packers who packed our belongings with extreme care (72 boxes - no breakage); the movers who loaded the truck, disassembled some furniture as needed and unloaded and reassembled the furniture with care and Bob, our driver who was Allieds Driver of the year who traveled across country and met us at our new location on the day that was stated. I cannot be more pleased with Pools moving and Storage.
