Point Blank is top notch! 1 year since I started my music production certification, and 6 months since finishing, and the instruction continues to pay dividends. It constantly comes up in conversation with my former classmates (most of which Im still friends with to this day) how valuable the coursework was looking back. What makes it so great? First and foremost, the instructors! I took 5 different courses with 5 different instructors, and each was a wizard at what they did, and yet somehow also very skilled and experienced at distillation and transferring knowledge and understanding. I cant recall how many times in the past few months Ive been told by friends how impressed they are that Im this skilled at music production after less than a year. Definitely have Point Blank LA to thank for this.

What an Incredible school! I came to this school ten weeks ago as a singer-songwriter. I had always wanted to learn how to produce music, and after only one term of classes... I can produce songs from start to finish! Crazy! The Point-Blank difference is the super knowledgeable teachers and staff. The Instructors all love music and are passionate about teaching. They are experts in their field, work in the music industry, and want you to learn! The learning environment is excellent. Sergio, the student services administrator, spent so much time ensuring I had all the suitable classes to reach my goals; his charisma and enthusiasm always made me feel welcomed and excited for my production journey. I couldnt wait to get to school, a musical Disneyland filled with MIDI keyboards, synths, recording studios, Drums, and DJ studios. I cant wait to take more classes! This school and its faculty deserve more than five stars. Thank you!!

I signed up for the Complete DJ Award in June, in a week Ill have completed the program. Its been such an incredible experience.The instructors at Point Blank are awesome. They are not only highly knowledgeable and experienced in the industry, but they are also incredibly supportive. They have decades of experience in the industry and are committed to helping students level up. Creative DJ skills has been especially fun because of how challenging it is. The instructor, Nat, is absolutely awesome and creates a very open environment where making mistakes is okay.The equipment provided is also top notch. The best controllers out there, various different CDJS (most of them are 3000s), drum machines, etc. Its been awesome to learn on the industry standard.Additionally, Point Blank actively helps students gain real-world experience and exposure with gigs through the schools connections. I had the opportunity to do this myself. I wasnt sure I was ready for these at first but after a couple of showcases at the school itself, I felt great. Now Ill be performing at Academy in a month. The school hosted events were also a great place to get to know your fellow students. Ive met a ton of awesome people that Ill definitely keep in touch with after completing the program.Last but not least, special shout out to the student services administrator, Sergio. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure that every student feels supported and cared for. Hes always there to lend a helping hand and provide guidance whenever needed.If youre looking to level up your skills, Point Blank is definitely the place to be.

I came to Point Blank because I was completely lost with Abelton and needed that extra push to get the ball rolling with producing. Point Blank couldnt have been a better a decision for me with following that next step I needed to take as an artist. The staff is so awesome and helpful! Although I only took one class, it was still affordable and very much worth it! Tom has been the best teacher and thank you to Sergio for always giving me the best advice!! If you are feeling stuck and need that extra focus, then Point Blank is where you need to look!

I have been a student at Point Blank on and off for 3 years now, and I love it! When I first started making music, I only had a couple of hardware instruments and I found myself stuck - I was just making loops with no concept of music theory or how to record music. I started with their Music Production course which was essential for learning how to use Ableton and provided a framework for how to record and make music. I continued with Composition and Sound Design soon after, and the lightbulb went on for me. The instructors are top notch - people working in the industry - and they share their invaluable tips and tricks from their own experience, plus you get feedback on your music, and they show you how to fix it. Theres also a really great student community and each Friday theres a group track feedback session led by an instructor which is so so helpful. If you are wondering if you can just teach yourself via YouTube, stop wasting your time and invest in yourself. I am so glad I did. Thank you Point Blank!!

PBMS hands down THE BEST music production school in Los Angeles!The resources, programs, and events they offer as a student are truly unlimited. I genuinely couldn’t have made a better choice by choosing PB. The energy at the school are always high starting from all the administrators who work in office. Aside from being cool they’re also extremely helpful with anything you’ll need.I love that PB has top tier studios to record in and also a DJ studio filled with top of the line Pioneer controllers and turntables!Aside from being an all around great school I love that I’m able to network and meet other talented students who I can also learn from and work with on projects!

Great school! Took the year program for dj and production and came out with a lot more than I came in with. The teachers come from all different backgrounds so you’re able to get multiple perspectives which is great to help you expand your views and ideas. Also the administrative staff is very helpful with helping you figure out what field you would like to thrive and or explore in. Overall a great school, would recommend to all that are just starting and or the experienced that want to expand their skill set.

Point Blank is a fantastic school - we cant recommend it highly enough. Our son attended music production summer camp this year and also had a private DJ lesson. His teachers Adal and Sky were warm, enthusiastic and excellent teachers. Everyone we met from PB had great energy and the setup of the school is incredibly professional. You feel cooler just by being there! We cant wait to go back!

Point Blank is a great music school. there is the best teachers I’ve ever seen in any educational institution here at Point Blank. Before going to this music school, I was learning music from the Internet for around 2 years, and then I decided to invest in going to Point Blank to develop the skill set that I needed. And I definitely got more than just that. I was given opportunities to do things in music that I never had before. I feel that everyone is there for the right reasons and is happy to help.

These guys know how to teach. They go straight to the point and tell you what you need to produce. The staff is super friendly and the place is very chill. Also the teachers are very friendly and cool.I’d definitely take another course with them.

I have the pleasure of attending PBLA. The school offers a variety of classes for all levels of musicians, from beginners to advanced. The teachers are highly experienced and knowledgeable, and they provide a great learning environment. The classes are well organized and the curriculum is comprehensive. The school also offers private lessons for those who want to focus on a particular instruments.Overall, I am having a great experience at PBLA. The teachers are friendly and accommodating, and the classes are well structured and informative. I would definitely recommend PBLA to anyone looking to learn more about music in general .

One of the greatest part in my journey with music is Point Blank! I thank to myself that I did a good research and chose the best music school ever!I am a regular Music Production and DJ Performance Diploma student at Point Blank Los Angeles. I did my Music Award Certification and Piano Skill I Certification from PBLA too. I have been taking classes here since October 2023.Studying in Point Blank is more than a worthy investment. As an offline student I feel so fortunate that I can take classes from the esteemed Industry experts and masters and even Legends directly along with all the super talented classmates from different parts of the world! The teachers are extremely resourceful and present, they are really really good at breaking the ice to communicate critical lessons to everyone in the class and to reach out even the shyest student need help. Their teaching techniques are practical and unique as they are industry professionals. Along side the curriculum they share their experiences and guide the students to grow to reach the ultimate career goals. The classrooms of Point Blank are acoustic and cozy and equipped with individual workstations with the latest hardware and software facilities. Apart of that we can book the studio slots for free to work on creative projects. The DJ room is designed with a club vibe that gives the students feeling of real performances.Point Blank’s another great resource is it’s comprehensively constructed VLE, it’s an intense source which can develop a solid foundation of a student in specific areas. In a humble and interactive environment we all can share our musical works, thoughts, ideas and even vulnerabilities to comfort and shape up the creative process gradually. All the administrators here are musicians and always there for the students for academic and industry guidance. I can remember the first few weeks when I came for the first time in Los Angeles from Bangladesh to develop contemporary musical skills which were so unknown and foreign to me. During the first class the instructor reached me and said “Don’t worry…you will do it!” and the student consultant assured me that “This is your music school. This is the place where you can share your emotions!”.After all the possible learning from the instructors and VLE, utilizing the physical and emotional support system of the school, focused and intense personal practices, when a student can really feel growing and can make music and perform that they were up to for long or sing out the real self then he/she knows constructive and combined efforts and hard works pay back!!!Point Blank is a unique model of modern school for learning of art. It seeks to make a handful of well rounded music professionals by utilizing the expertises of industry legends. I am a Proud Point Blanker and I am grateful that I am having this opportunity to have Point Blank in my musical journey as well as my life journey because it is helping me to grow as a better musician and at the same time a better human being too.

Where do I begin? This school is the solepurpose I moved from Chicago to LA and to say it didn’t disappoint is an understatement. My time at Point Blank LA has been amazing. The staff is very friendly, respectful, knowledgeable in their craft and helpful with any real world problems you may come across. They have any and every piece of equipment you’d wanna play with as a music producer, dj, vocalist. If you love music and wanna learn to create, or even already create and wanna perfect your craft.. this is the place to be.

Point Blank is lit!! Ive been doing music for a long time off and on and I learned as much as I could from YouTube up until I came here.Coming here has broken down a ton of barriers as far as what I thought I could achieve and my capacity to grow as a musician. The studios have some great gear and all of the staff actually have success in the music industry so you get some very practical wisdom that you can apply in the real world.The classes are an excellent balance between technical knowledge, theory, and making bangers. Its also a great place to network as Im blessed to have classes with some truly talented people, both instructors and fellow students.I believe that someone who is already determined to learn what they come here for and truly apply themselves will be able to get what they need to take it to the next level.

PBLA is a great place to kick start your musical journey! The administration and staff are dedicated and truly care about the students.They organize a few events per quarter to help students learn and network. I took part in the student mixer and beat battle and enjoyed both experiences!So far, I have taken Music Production, Beatmaking and Music Composition. The Music Production course is a must for any beginner! It is jam packed with information and has greatly influenced and improved my approach towards music making.One thing to note, as a full time worker I did find it difficult to keep up with the course work, so plan accordingly. Also, most of the project studio times and open forum times are during regular working hours, so for those working 9am to 5pm I would recommend planning with an academic advisor first to make sure you will be able to take advantage of these extremely important resources. If you are not able to book a project studio or attend open forum, the experience might not be as valuable for you, especially with the price tag, so plan ahead!Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience here at PBLA. If the scheduling fits, I plan to take Art of Mixing and Sound Design next quarter which I’ve heard are also must take courses.Special shout out to Sergio and Jay for the talks about life and the music business! Point blank is an amazing school, no matter how far along your music journey you are. their production courses are comprehensive, creative, and full of secret tips from industry professionals to help you build/improve your workflow. whether you play an instrument or your computer keyboard, the teachers make every step of the process of creating a professional song super accessible.both the teachers and administrators are outspokenly supportive, and are always available as a resource for feedback, explanations, discussions, etc. everybody wants to help you grow, and they will help you set goals and reach them. their campus is beautiful, both with resources in their classrooms (like student workstations with high quality midi keyboards, ableton pushes or novation launchpads depending on the classroom, drum sequencers, and audio interfaces) and the resources in their studios (outboard gear, midi keyboards, ableton pushes, available microphones, kaotica eyeballs, and instruments). the studios also make it super easy and convenient to collaborate with other students, as studio time is included in tuition. in the audio engineering classroom, they have protools and an SSL board.at the end of the day, point blank is a great school. if you are passionate about the subject, show up, and put in work, you will feel the results of learning from such knowledgable, approachable, supportive, and experienced musicians. if you stay openminded and willing to try new things, you will learn many skills and valuable tools.since ive started, ive noticed a drastic change in my abilities to critically listen to music, and recognize certain production, mixing, and mastering techniques, as well has how to apply them. i am now much less afraid of outboard gear, and can navigate an SSL board. ive been more inspired, excited, and motivated about music than i was before, and i can see the improvement in the quality of my work since ive started. my workflow is much quicker, my confidence in my abilities has grown with my knowledge and practice, and my music sounds more professional than it ever has. ive tried out genres i was clueless about before, learned so much about the history of music technology and genres, and built a solid foundation of practical and creative skills that seemed impossible to me before. i highly recommend point blank to all my friends, as ive had such an incredible and valuable experience here!

PBLA helped kickstart my Ableton and DJing skills. They have great beginner friendly program. I walked in not knowing how to DJ or produce and now feel confident being able to teach myself new concepts. The staff is amazing and looks out for the students best interest. The teachers are fun and knowledgable and the classes feel engaging & creative. The only thing is parking can be a bit tricky in the surrounding area so be sure to arrive a bit early before class. 10/10

Point Blank Los Angeles is amazing place with instructors who have been extremely helpful during my year long program. There are a multitude of different artists who walk through PBLA, such as DJs, producers, vocalists, and engineers. I got to learn how to use the SSL Origin Mixing console, patchbay, and outboard gear whilst gaining knowledge of recording and production techniques. My experience was a 10/10!

An amazing, helpful, and inspiring educational experience to take my lifelong passion for music and put it into action. Its enabled me to become a singer-songwriter-producer-DJ that Ive always dreamed of.I completed a total of 18 courses at Point Blank L.A., including the 12 for the Music Production and Vocal Performance Diploma, plus 6 additional courses in DJing, mastering, and sound design. I started at point blank in Jan 2023 as a complete novice, the only thing I have is a good ear. I have grown so much since attending PB. Its all in thanks to the knowledgable and helpful instructors, friendly staff, that goes all out for students and the welcoming community of students. I have learned a ton in 6 months. Going from not knowing a thing about Ableton to now working on my 5th track! Its all a work in progress but I wouldnt be anywhere close to where I am today without the help of everyone who works at and attends PB. Im so thankful for my experience and for everything I have learned, as well as the friendships I have created along my journey!

Sadly this school doesnt have any Veteran Support. If your a Veteran, be prepared to pay out of pocket, this is not a VA Approved Educational Institute. I learned the hard way, and lost a lot of money in the process. Make sure you check that VA list of Approved Schools.

Point Blank is a unique school. We attended the 1-year diploma and we have learned a lot, we have met countless incredible producers and musicians and the teachers really push you to be better every day with the highest level.
