When I came in, I was told that there was either an issue with the battery or the motherboard. I paid 150 dollars for an advanced diagnosis. 150 dollars and 2 days later they had come to the conclusion that the problem was either the battery or the motherboard. They then suggested I buy another battery to diagnose the problem myself. Staff were polite, but they took my money without making any headway into the problem. If theres an issue that cant be solved by restarting the computer, I dont recommend them.

They are awesome. They give an estimate before hand and get approvals before making any repairs. They set expectations regarding the repair too. I have gone there for multiple laptop related issues, and they were able to successfully fix all of them in a timely manner.

Excellent support !!! My laptop was very old and system became slow & fan was not working. They did understood the issue and did the thermal clean up of system and changed the fan to make it work. I was pretty much satisfied with the quality of work handled by them. I would definitely recommend Pleasanton computer repair for your needs !!

Gabe and his team did a great job recovering the data from my crashed mac hard drive. I had several follow up issues that they also handled without charging me. I was very impressed when a couple of weeks later Gabe contacted me personally to make sure everything on my new system was working correctly. I highly recommend Pleasanton Computer Repair.

Twice I have used Pleasanton Computer Repair to fix my computer. Both times the service was excellent - clear and concise explanations of the problems and the cost to repair. Repairs were swift and comparative costs on the low side based on my own scanning for service vendors. I recommend them highly and will use them again without hesitation!

Im so glad I found this computer repair shop!! They do great work and the employees are so friendly and accommodating and very professional. My laptop works as if was brand new! I recently needed to have data recovered from a damaged hard drive. I took the drive to Pleasanton Computer Repair, where they promptly gave me an estimate and then recovered the data I needed and loaded it onto a new external drive. The service was fast and thorough at a very fair price.

These folks have consistently done an outstanding job repairing my computers and at a reasonable cost. Recently, they unlocked a computer of my missing son. This place repaired 2 of my iPads.There are professional and prompt.Turns out the screen protector was broke on one of them not the screen it self. They were honest and told me. Honesty like that is hard to come by.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Awesome people, very honest with their work, and they provide quality service with timely delivery. I brought my 2012 iMac in because it was freezing up whenever it was task switching. Seems it was having trouble swapping (which is a process of moving application memory to and from the hard drive). Turned out that the hard drive was failing! I was not expecting that. Fortunately I had signed up for their discounted solid-state hard drive replacement deal, which was very conveniently timed because I had been wanting to make the switch to solid-state anyway (for the performance boost). When I got my computer back, it was like brand new. Couldnt be happier. Will quickly bring any computer repairs to these folks before considering anyone else, and you should too!

So happy to have found Pleasanton Computer Repair! Have used them twice: once to replace a laptop hard drive with a SSI drive, and another time to remove and repair problems from Windows 10.Both times the work was performed very quickly and at fair prices.

I trust Pleasanton Computer Repair. Dont get me wrong; I do not like it when I experience problems with my computing equipment. Nonetheless, I run an older fleet of workstations and I know that I will encounter problems from time to time. When I do encounter problems, I take my equipment to here.

After a few e-mails with Gabe, I spoke with Tim on the phone and brought in my 10yo 27 iMac (Late 2009) today. The last system update from Apple took over an hour and I was getting read failures copying some files - its time to retire the 2010 2TB Hitachi HDD and replace it with a 1 TB Samsung 570 Evo SSD.Matt helped me carry the iMac up to the shop this morning. I also mentioned that the upper right hand corner of the screen looks strange. At 5:30, I went to pick up the machine. He had removed some dust from the area and the screen looks great! The 1 hour update/slow-as-molasses boot have been reduced to a 28 second boot time. Looks like I may be able to use this machine for another 5 years after all.As a EE, I couldve done this upgrade myself, but after buying the tools, PCR actually wasnt charging that much more for labor - so I decided to avoid the possibility of dirtying or worse, dropping the glass and let the experienced pros do the job. Im very satisfied with the upgrade - Ill be back later to upgrade my PC mobo to Ryzen 9s. Highly recommended. This is the kind of local shop that Im very happy to support.
