I love the Planter Sam store! My first time in there was Spring 2023 when I brought in my favorite pots and asked for advice on what kind of low maintenance plants I could put in them. I’m brand new to plants and even been known to let succulents die, and Sam was so supportive of my renewed interest and effort. She was thoughtful about the environment I have to offer and looked out for my very nosy dog and cat by helping me pick plants with low or no toxicity. And, because I don’t have a garden or shed and I’m not a green thumb, I don’t have potting mix or even know how, so I was grateful they offer repotting in-store as well. Overall a great experience, and they have a rewards program where the rewards never expire, which was particularly helpful when I went back the other day for some help- my plants are doing so well, a couple of them needed to be repotted into larger pots, so between the Spring sale and my rewards, it was very affordable. I got two new plants too, and a moisture meter to help me understand better when my plants need watering. I’m finally feeling confident and happy with my ability to keep plants alive and thriving!

I love this store!! I am so happy to have a cute little plant shop right in my backyard. The quality of the plants are phenomenal. Ive bought so many different plants from them and they are thriving and beautiful. I also love how much more cost effective they are. I have been able to build my growing plant collection from just their shops variety. Great little treasure in San Marcos. They also provide excellent customer service. They answer all your plant questions and you can tell they really love the plants just as much as the customer.

THIS STORE IS A MUST TO GO. Customer service is top tier. Super friendly! The store is always kept tighty and neat. The aroma is amazing. If you like stickers (like me) you’d love their punny stickies. This place is DEFINITELY worth your time and money.

Sam repotted a plant into a larger pot, and while I was waiting, I picked out this pretty little plant to give as a gift. I also got a saucer, a stand for my pot and a small fertilizer shaker for the few houseplants I have, and some mini pecan tarts baked locally. Selection is wonderful and prices are very reasonable! What a fun place!

I love getting my plants from PlanterSam, they are always healthy and end up thriving! Sam and all of the other amazing people who work here are always so kind and extremely helpful. Highly recommend for plant lovers! Plus they have tons of other cute things, pots, macrame, shelves, jewelry, etc. Support local small businesses, you won’t be disappointed ❤️

Planter Sam’s is my favorite plant shop and my happy place. 😊 The pic is of my dog, Gus and the Alocasia Regal Shield I purchased from them. It has grown more since then and keeps putting out beautiful, deep green, matte leaves. It’s been a great plant for me as a beginner and is my favorite at the moment. 🤫 don’t tell the others. The whole team at Planter Sam has been great at answering my questions and are always kind and supportive. I just signed up on their website to be notified of any plant education classes they have. Because of my new found obsession with plants, my family and friends have been getting Planter Sam plants as gifts. I feel like they bring me so much joy that everyone must need more plants in their lives- Lol. 😉 Every plant I’ve gotten from them has been quality and pest free. Thanks Sam and team! 🙌🏻

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this shop! I recently got into plants and moved to San Marcos so that’s a dangerous combo. Sam always stocks the most beautiful and healthy plants so it’s a regular stop of mine to see what’s new and needs to be added to my growing collection.Another thing I love is how knowledgeable all the staff are, especially Sam and her husband. There are beautiful pots and accessories hidden around the store and basically anything you would need to keep your plants happy and thriving. I would also recommend following on Instagram because Sam regularly posts tips and specials.Thank you Sam and team, the shop is my happy place 🙂

The employees are so friendly and knowledgeable, and the plants that I’ve gotten from here have always been high quality! I love to get all of my plant care stuff from here too, soil, fertilizer, pest spray, they’ve got it all. It’s super easy and convenient.
