I heard from a friend my dog was found and was @ the Auburn SPCA so I called on Wednesday @8pm and left a message thats the time I found out) but never got a call back Thursday left another message called again Friday was told they were really busy and they would return my phone call... to this day I still have not received any phone call and unsure if this is my dog!!! They must be understaffed to not be able to return my phone call this many days...

I think this facility is a good place for stray or lost animals. Its sad to see them there as they look like great pets to adopt. I just wished I had more room to adopt some of the dogs there, but I am currently dealing with two at the moment. Maybe later this year because the oldest dog is circling the drain.

I bought a 3 yr. Oldcat 2 1/2 weeks ago & had to euthanize it today due to unknown illness. I will never go to the SPCA ever again! They shouldnt be allowed to sell sick animals. The Vet bills were $400 and now Im in debt and no Cat.

Very kind, considerate and patient attendees. Very supportive and understanding. No pressure or uncomfortable judgement energy say all. Literally every person I interacted with was delightful. The facilities was VERY clean but didnt smell over disinfected like some Ive been to. All the dogs, I didnt visit cat section, was second off so big dogs were together, medium with same, and all the small together. They offered several Meet and Greet rooms and the option to walk your potential new family member with one of the knowledge staff. Off your wondering, Yes! I found the perfect addition to my family. They even found a great harness to send him home in. They have adoption specials a couple times a year that makes it inexpensive to get started. The process is painless. Good luck if you are looking!

If I could’ve given zero stars, I would have. I called to report an abuse thru neglect situation and there was ZERO concern. The dispatch guy was rude and condescending.What an abhorrent, despicable & disgusting way to deal with animals being neglected.

Super friendly staff (reception, kennel attendants and volunteers). We adopted 2 kittens on 2 different visits. The facility is clean, modern and allows lots of room for the animals to move about. The process was easy and we love our newest family members. Thank you!

Update, the chicken died, poor thing wouldn’t eat, took it to the vet, and was told it was either thrown out of the vehicle or it was kicked pretty hard, they told me the shelter should have taken the chicken, they’ve taken them before. So ya, auburn shelter sucks!!’ I’d leave zero stars!!Found an abandoned chick on the high way, took it to the shelter, lady there didn’t look at the chicken, and then told me release it back in the wild, where I found it. They don’t take abandoned chickens. Im not going to take this poor thing back to leave it on the highway, Their on camera saying this to me. Worst place ever. They didn’t even give me any numbers or suggestions for this chicken. The blonde lady at the desk supposedly called her supervisor, and they told her to tell me to take back where I found it.

Can’t say enough nice things about this establishment, they do such amazing work! They’re kind to the animals & do all they can to find them their forever homes. The dog we adopted “Raven” has been a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you for all that you guys do!
