This is one of my favorite places to go to when I need to rejuvenate, refresh, and realign my positivity. The cabins are great and u just cant go wrong when u have a huge jacuzzi hot tub in the main room placed adjacent to the bed. Talk about comfortable! Its so serene and calming up there just a great place to get back in touch with nature and yourself as well. The air seems and smells so much more fresh up there... everything around u seems so surreal. If you are in need of a reboot or just need to clear your head I highly recommend this hidden treasure located not to far from the lake. Exceptional for vacationing and getting back to the basics.

I just finished a wonderful Christmas stay over at this place. I honestly could have cared less for the hot tubs, we just needed a pet friendly family sized cabin in this area.View: 5/5 - The view from cabin 20 was amazing, since it is elevated above the others. Llama barn is a bonus. The whole property looks wonderful when snowed in. You need to be ok with climbing stairs.Location: 5/5 - Within walking distance of the Village shops, but JUST far enough that even the busiest Christmas crowds don’t see cars and people overflowing up Pine Knot Ave all the way to here. It’s as quiet as if no one is in town.Amenities: 5/5 - Didn’t need the hot tub, but the quality of these cabins was great for a few nights’ stay. The cabins are very warm and the beds are comfortable. I really appreciated the gas fireplace, as it made the included bundle of firewood almost optional. The wifi is very fast and reliable. The hot water is amazing but REALLY hot, so be careful. No meals or laundry services are available, so anyone staying longer should consider bringing quarters for a laundromat and something to cook with.

Clean and charming, but not good for sleeping and some cleanliness concerns.We were initially thrilled with the the cleanliness and spaciousness and charm of our two story A frame cabin, but things werent so nice once we tried sleeping.The mattress in the master bed was not much softer than sleeping on a carpeted floor. I didnt last more than an hour before pain forced me to sleep on the futon downstairs (my kids were already sleeping in the loft, which had a decent mattress BTW.) The futons downstairs were a nightmare. Both were extremely lumpy and soft. One futon was actually broken, so I slept on the non-broken one, but it still was uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in the middle of the mattress where I kept falling into.Other things that could be improved are the window coverings. There is a huge two story window wall that is nice to look through, but no way to cover so you can sleep in. This applies to the loft bed and the downstairs futons. There also were no lights over the coffee table area, so we couldnt play board games there, and the lights on the patio were too dim.Finally, we were notified via our check in papers that we were expected to wash our dirty dishes. This after paying a hefty cleaning fee already. We are used to hand washing our own dishes at home, so we thought no big deal, but then we realized that there was no dishwasher to sterilize the dishes in and we had already eaten off of dishes previous guests probably hand washed. Not exactly what you want to think about during a pandemic.This place has potential, but I wont be coming back because I need a good nights sleep.

We absolutely loved it. We will definitely consider coming back next year. It had 6 beds and 4 couches, 3 bathrooms, 2 balconies, 1 hot tub, 2 showers. this was a very comforting stay with a great view of the sky at night. The front desk/check-in cabin was hospitable and friendly. It had a nice llama petting zoo and was 1 mile from the lake or 2 miles from the ski resort. 5 stars for a great time.

Amazing stay! Perfect for couples or small families. Big tub in the main room with a fireplace, second bed and small kitchenette is useful for a weekend/couple night stay. Definitely will stay here again. Quiet and close to town. Clean rooms and pretty comfy beds. Dog friendly and during the winter you dont have to go far to play in the snow

Have stayed here numerous times over the last two decades, and sadly, its age is showing. But, it wont stop me from staying here in the future. You just cant go in thinking this is a 3 or 4 star resort thing. Location is great, walkable to the Village. The in room jacuzzi was dirty, sadly, because I really needed it for pain. The manager seemed frazzled, and was running the place alone so I didnt want to bother her to ask her to clean it. The deck was perfect, and the bed was lopsided. Once I layed on the far side of the bed it was near perfect, so know that for Cabin #14, lol

Loved this place, it offers a very quaint and loving charm. Great for our romantic weekend that we planned. They have a giant jacuzzi tub right in your room, which fit both my wife and I. The cabins are located only a few minutes walk into Big Bear Village, and also easy acces to nearby mountain trails. So book your stay and have fun, oh and they are pet friendly, we had our dog and he enjoyed it too. 🐕😉👍🙌

Came here for a family get away. We stayed in 18 and it was very clean, spacious, had coffee and hot chocolate, a/c which kept the whole cabin cool, they have lamas that you can feed (they give you a baggie of food at check in), they have a few playground toys which my kids loved, everything was great! Oh and the customer service was wonderful. We will most definitely have to come back!! Thanks you guys for everything!!Chapman family

This place is amazing! They have everything you could need, there plenty of commodities. We stayed in cabin 15, they have a Jacuzzi that fits 2 people, a kitchenette stocked with everything, they even had coffee pods, a decent sized bathroom, fireplace. We also fed the llamas which was so awesome, it is family friendly given they have three different playgrounds meant for different age groups from about 18months to 10 years old. Their appliances are a little outdated but still work perfectly, they even have a built in stereo surround system! We will definitely come back! They are so nice and welcoming here!

Lets begin with I wasnt all too sure what to expect when picking this place to stay for the weekend. As we entered the check-in center we were immediately introduced to a very delightful greeting and seemed very dog friendly. This was very reassuring to what will come next. They gave us a sheet of paper showing us to our cabin and where to park and where the Llamas are located. Yes they have Llamas, named Willow and Penny. They are absolutely very friendly. They love to eat straight from your hand. Now for our cabin. My wife and I stayed in Cabin 18. When we opened the door it felt as if we just entered someones home. To us it was very clean and honestly felt very homey feel. With in no time we were unpacked and relaxing in the room. There is a pretty decent size jacuzzi tub, a pretty comfy king size bed; not too soft nor hard, there is also a spare twin bed for a kid or another guest to stay in the room as well as a fireplace, which seemed to work quite well. If you have little ones or just need to use the internet it had its moments but otherwise worked quite well. The TV in the room seemed up-to-date in terms of Roku TVs. They pretty much provided us with everything we may have needed for our stay.We initially were only going to stay for two days but within a hour of being there we knew we wanted another day to stay there. So I called the number they gave us and got the help and answers I needed about staying one more night. Overall with how much they provided, the friendliness of the owner/workers and of course the Llamas, and how well they just have things set-up in my opinion there may have not been a better stay for us on Big Bear Mountain. We will be looking forward to going back in the near future with friends and family so they can as well enjoy the relaxing nature and energy around.

This is located just a couple of blocks from The Village. The cabin (that sleeps 6) is rustic, just like an Alpine cabin should be. The upstairs bedroom has window a/c. (Summer). The loft bedroom, which overlooks the living room, has a ceiling fan. We found that putting the futons on the floor was more comfortable than leaving them in the squeaky frames.The kitchen includes a side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water in the door. This was great so we could fill our water bottles and small coolers before we set out in the morning.Toward the back of the property was a field with residential style play structures and swings for young children. My kids also had fun feeding the llamas barned by the playground. We missed the bunnies though, since they had been relocated for the season due to burrowing.One thing that confused me was that they tout Jacuzzi tubs. Our cabin did not have one. We would have loved to have a hot tub on the back patio.

Had a great birthday weekend here! Cute cabins. Jacuzzi and fireplace in room. VERY comfortable bed. When we arrived at our cabin there was also a bottle of sparkling apple cider and chocolates for us. Good rates. Would definately recommend to others and stay there again.

My family and I stayed in cabin 18 for 4 days early May 2018. Great place for families and activities. Wood fireplace, provided grill and smoker, picnic table and jetted tub. Location is close to ALL the action minus off road trails. Dog friendly property with lots of room for running. Staff was discreet and polite. I recommend anyone I know.

My wife had never been to big bear and wanted to stay the night. This ranch has a llama barn. The cabin I stayed in has a Jacuzzi that fits 2 people and a fire place. The host provided Marinelli on the house which was nice. The king bed was very comfortable. I had a question that if the second room had its own entrance. It doesnt so we didnt invite anyone else to share the cabin. Otherwise, the cabin was 2 minutes walking distance from the village which was very convenient. It also has direct tv. There is a little house where you check in and there were a number of DVDs that you can check out for free. But we were not really wasting much time watching movies... overall it was a very nice experience and well most likely go there again in the future.

This place is great! Good cozy cabins with modern technology inside. There is a play ground for the kids and hills for when its snowy. There are also 2 llamas and 2 bunnies on the property you can pet and feed. The customer service was fantastic, and the best part is you can bring your dogs with you!

Charming cabins we have stayed here many times. This visit was disappointing. Our regular cabin is not as kept up as before but we learned it is under new management and they are working hard to bring everything back to standards. There are llamas here and bunnies to be fed. Open meadows and kids playground.

This place turned out to be pretty decent for a group of 10 adults and a bunch of small dogs. I was surprised how big it was overall. Theres a Jacuzzi, pool table, wet bar (how 70s!), good views which include a bit of Big Bear lake, a safe place to take the dogs out at night, adequate bathrooms, TONS of pillows everywhere, very woodsy. Id like to give it more stars but a few too many details were not right. Fridge worked but all the door shelves were broken. It was also missing basics like a proper set of knives. The oven didnt work at first but they did take care of that. Some of the outside fencing and also the front entry stairs were in obvious need of repair. The place had multiple gas fire places but we could only get one to work. Some of us found the bathrooms to be too small and kinda worn out. They were clean though. Most of the beds were very worn out. Mine had agiant rut and was very uncomfortable. Time to toss that thing. Parking was ok. If you have more than two cars or any large vehicle you will probably need to park up the street about 100 ft. Fix things and replace stuff and this place is a solid 4 star. Remodel it and its a 5 star.

The cabins are located a short walk away from the shopping centers and restaurants. Though small, they have a nice fireplace and Jacuzzi. Plan to eat out as there is only a microwave available. Beds have warm flannel sheets for the cold winter months and each room comes with a bundle of wood to start the fireplace. The sparkling cider is a nice touch. Would recommend to couples for a night or two.

We stayed in cabin 17, which at the edge and looks to be the best placed one. The interior is a high-tech luxurious 1990s design BUT they totally make up for it with the unbelievable cleaningness. The main entrance room has the jacuzzi, bed, fireplace, TV and two rocking chairs with regular sized closet. The second, smaller room, has a kitchen. Both have separate access to bathroom. Staff was accommodating. You can totally walk into downtown area, but at night the street is not lit and we had a coyote that was running away from us. Because of the playset and Lammas, it would make a great place to come with younger kids. Bed was tough but the sheets were soft and together with the towels smelled clean and fresh. Fireplace is gas and wood burning, which helps a lot on getting the wood burning. An bottle of apple cider and a few small chocolates was a great touch. Wifi signal was strong throughout, a 3.5mbps down and 1.5mbps is good for browsing but might not be enough for best quality Netflix.The drunk people in the cabin above the hill were obnoxiously loud.Cleaningness 5Decor 3Amenities 5

The hideaway cabin is out dated, the only thing modern is the stove. The kitchen is not a full kitchen and there is not a complete set of anything in it, all items are mix-matched.The screen on the door is broke and so is the screen door.One door doesnt even have a screen door. There is a lack of curtains in all bedrooms which prevents the sun from coming in. There arent any vents in the bedroom for heat, but is centered in the middle of the hallway, so there is no way to heat the bedrooms. If you want heat the thermostat is behind the entertainment center.Central air is lacking here. There are hardly any electrical outlets. It needs to be completely renovated. Also, there is not jacuzzi like advertised. There is only one ceiling fan in the living room, and minimal lighting in the bedrooms. The bedrooms have no fans, which is not good because of the high ceilings. There is no way to fit three cars like they say you can in the driveway. There needs to be a sign out on the road so people know this cabin is the hideaway and so they do not get lost in the dark. The televisions are so old there are no remote controls for them. There are too many spiders that live in the cabin. The decor looks like your living in a tea cozy. The clock, which is out outdated, is broken, even with a battery the clock still doesnt work. It is clearly not worth the money you pay to stay here. I would not stay here again.

Our first experience here and it was incredile! The service was wonderful,the cabin was clean and cozy and i felt like i was home! Walking distance from the village and super close to everything in big bear. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. We brought our pet and they were very attentive to Baileys needs and making sure we had a great vacation. Gloria was amazing and very helpful!! Ask for Gloria when booking your stay there, she is the best! Will definitely be back! Cant wait to spend my future california vacations there!

This is a fun place to stay in Big Bear. The cabins are cozy and have their own jacuzzis . There are 2 llamas that live on the ranch and you can feed them if you want. A short walk to shopping and restaurants. A quick drive to the Lake or Bear mountain/ Summit Resorts..

Where to start? False advertising, for one thing...their photos were, I feel, deliberately misleading, making their cabins seem huge, when they are, in reality, the size of a bedroom. The advertisement made a really big deal about the included jacuzzi and fireplace, neither of which worked upon arrival, and I spent the rest of our anniversary trying to get a hold of the individuals in charge of the establishment in order to fix said jacuzzi and fireplace. As if this wasnt bad enough, we had to look at Trump posters plastered over everything at the cabin grounds, which was exactly the kind of thing we rented a spot in Big Bear to avoid, while on vacation.

BEWARE!!!! DO NOT RESERVE A CABIN HERE UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO SAY GOOD-BYE TO YOUR MONEY YOU PUT DOWN.....THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR SUPPOSED REFUND POLICY ......My husband and I made a reservation a month ahead of time. Their policy is if you cancel 1 week before the reserved arrival date, they will refund your money. We had to cancel due to a family emergency. We called to cancel our reservation 8 days before we were due to arrive, so we abided by their policy. My husband was told the money would be credited back to our account and will show up 4, max 5 days after he canceled. They sent a cancellation e-mail, nowhere in the e-mail was there a mention of refund or credit amount, but it did indicate the reservation has been canceled. So on the 6th day after we canceled, STILL NO REFUND in our account, we called the bank, they could not see anything either refunded or pending to be refunded. I contacted Pine Knots Ranch, and Larry, who made and supposedly cancelled the reservation said oh it happens all the time, its the banks fault, you know how they are...they take forever. I asked him to kindly double-check to make sure it was issued on their end, his response was I have a lot of work to do, Ive been gone for 3 days, call your bank again. WHAT A JOKE!!! I did call the bank and they are taking the necessary actions. WOULD NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE IF THEY PAID US, THEY HAVE NO SENSE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE OR COMMON COURTESY!

They would not honor our living social deal. This guy named Larry said that the living social deal was expired, which was not the case. The deal did not expire until October 31st. He said we needed to book our reservation with in 30 of purchasing the living social deal. After pulling up the living social account we did not see any of this information he was giving us. He was argumentative, rude and refused to help us. He kept saying he didnt usually have people calling the night before to make a reservation. I should have told him that is none of his business. Both me and my boyfriend work 12 hr shifts at hospitals in san diego and our schedules are tight.I scaned the living social deal and emailed it to him and he accused us of altering the document, I NEARLY LOST MY MIND. He never got a hold of a supervisor so I called living social and they also couldnt reach anyone at this company. We were refunded immediately by living social but I would NEVER stay here, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Customer service is something I take pride in because I work with sick patients everyday. So for someone to have such disrespect for their customers, it infuriates me! I will make sure to let everyone I know that this is not the place to stay. Obviously Larry has been mentioned in a few of these comments and he needs to retire or find a new job. First, he should get some schooling on customer service. We stayed at the Northwoods lodge and they were very accommodating. We will stay there from now on.

There yet to give me a repeat customer discount as told 1st, 2nd now 3rd to wonder why I wont be back or recommend .wifi still not getting signal in cabin, there all cute cabins but small. Grounds are small. Nobody able to help with Llamas so was told just go feed them in the barn (um no walk?)Pros : 1.close to village and Carls Jr lol, And marina to jet ski etc. 2. Landline in cabin for local calls because you might not get reception with cell. 3 pet friendly for a fee.Cons: 1.Far from lake, dont expect it. 2.Everything in village shuts down EARLY and nothing to do but get lost in circles or the bar up street to line dance (not my thing). 3. Tell you repeat discount for return customers but you wont get it. 4. No outside pool or hottub.5. Make sure you have enough charcoal, lighter fluid if bbq and dishes in your cabinets because when office closes your stuck asking a neighbor or going in town to vons or dollar store for it if there still open.6. We have wifi *but it dont work in cabin, gotta go outside twords office to pick up a signal*

The cabin my family and O stayed din was Cabin 18. It was amazing experience. The whole family definitely enjoyed the stay. The overall experience was perfect. What we enjoyed: parking lot, cabin decorations, all kitchen essentials, jacuzzi tub, firewood and fireplace, efficient water heater for 4, large snow play area, and an extremely short distance from Village, while at the same time,hidden away. This was our second time visiting Big Bear and our first time staying. Weve stayed at San Diego and Las Vegas before, but our experience here was beyond the rest. Family voted that next stay will be back to Pine Knot Guest Ranch.

They were very good to everyone. The cabin was clean and everyone had a bed, there were 13 of us.
