Absolutely the BEST comic book shop in the area! The staff is always welcoming and they really make you feel at home. Frequent sales and a huge selection of back issues for you to fill out your collections. Plus, they have the best discount if you have a pull list!

Unwelcoming. I walked by one employee sitting behind a desk on the right, another behind a counter to the left, and a third towards the back left by the weekly issues, none made any attempt to recognize my presence or to say hello. I browsed the weekly issues for a moment, going from left to right, until suddenly, I went too far to the right and the fourth employee appears and says to me, Pardon me, uh-oh, youre in the forbidden section, but you didnt know that. Proceeds to put up a queue partition. I was in there for no more than 15 minutes, I wanted to buy the few small issues I held in my hand, but their lack of reception left a bad vibe. How does this store employ 4 people at once on an early afternoon?

Aside from the wide array of comic books this place houses many collectible toys from the 80s and 90s which are on display. It was a trip back in time to see all the He-man and GI Joe toys many in their complete packaging. Several full scale superheroes models are also on display.Friendly and informative staff. Even provided my daughter with a few comic books on Rosa Parks to read. Super clean place. Plenty of walking room. Will come back again to visit.

They have a really nice selection at this store plus nice employees. Got a few items here. Some items are a bit pricier than regular but they have a big selection of items. They have comics, statues, and toys. I recommend checking it out. There is something for everyone

This place is quiet and quaint in the hills. But the magnitude of the collectibles inside is amazing... theres a huge comic selection and really nice pieces like the ol skool gi Joes and the misfits pieces... I even saw the iron maiden aces high figure there ... but the funko pops are why I trekked all the way there from Lancaster to support a pop store. Thank you for holding that chase Gomez for me... Linda I think. Sorry I forgot. But thank you PHAT COLLECTIBLES side note I saw my first born son only a week and a half old pee on his mom for the first time lol... but thank you phat collectibles!

I enjoyed the shop, a lot of current books on the shelves but if you need to complete a run, bring a list and give yourself time, they have a lot of back issues to search. A lot of figures as well. My only wish is more older comics from 60s and 70s, but I know those are tougher to come by.

This place is amazing. I take both my sons and nephew there frequently. It reminds me of comic book stores that were around when I was a kid but better. The staff is super friendly and they also offer a military discount which I found out when an employee saw my tattoo. Thank you!!

Excellent store, with great customer service. Funko pop prices are far below standard pricing for most pops and very comparable to other stores for higher value prices. This is MY local comic book shop. They staff is nice and funny. They have a great selection of back issues. Their periodic sales are really nice. Over the holidays they had 75% off back issues under $10. I picked up A LOT!

That’s what I get for trying to keep my money in a local business, felt extremely judged and not welcomed as soon as I came in, staff does little to nothing to engage with clients I would have not received help if I wouldn’t have approached someone after 15 min in the shop (I was the only one in there with 3 associates ) after talking to one of the associates and asking them a question, getting a condescending “I know what your talking about “ it was clear to me that they didn’t want me in there, As a local business I would think that providing a great experience for potential customers would be key ! Unfortunately this is a great example as to why Amazon is growing everyday and why local shops keep loosing business. I am disappointed because i have driven by this shop for a few weeks and have been wanting to go support unfortunately I won’t be coming back,, not like they’ll care lol

Wanted to give a shout out to this comic store, and support local business! My son and I thought long and hard, and rather than bad-mouth other stores in the area (like Comic Book Hideout), we thought we would rather sing the praises of our experiences with AJ, Cody, Jess, John, and all the staff here.The selection of comics, the signings, and the overall prices are just the table stakes for us. It is the people, and their common courtesy and friendship that matter most. Whether it be catching up on the latest movie, or asking my son how he’s doing in school, it just feels like a fam.With the crazy amount of books, and pull lists going on, they do their best to keep everyone happy. This includes sometimes having to re-price should a price be too high (or even low). Even when we offered to pay more, they have offered to honor the price they set.Contrast this to the “other store(s).” They would rather be condescending, take the comic from out your hand, and reprice it on the spot should they feel they messed up. In fact, they would try to make you feel like it was your fault. A recent example was when I brought a friend (first time and new to the hobbit), and the owner of Comic Book Hideout made him feel smaller than Ant Man.We don’t do this for the $, and don’t want to make every dollars possible. We want to have local business thrive and understand they are running a business too. This is why we don’t mind supporting Phat Collectibles, and actually happy to visit here a few times a week. We hope others will too…!!

This is the most family friendly comic shop Ive ever encountered. The staff are friendly and really care about people. They engage with you and have conversations. Its really refreshing to be able to walk into a comic shop as a woman and not feel that dread of interacting with staff that thinks youre stupid. They also dont talk down to children which is great.

We live in corona but the customer service and knowledgeable staff here makes the trip worth while. If they dont have what your looking for they will help you find it or let you know where you can obtain it. They have an abundance of comic books and graphic novels. They constantly have sales going on and celebrities and artist showing up for signings. Make sure to follow then on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date on what is happening at the store next.

I love these guys. The only thing that I dont like is when theyre closed because of covid-19 they do not let people know. I live pretty far from them. And I have called, before I come. But on their answering machine theres nothing to say that theyre closed. Its just a trip wasted. Otherwise I think everyone there thats working is awesome. Sorry for the small negative. But if you are going to be closed for the day you should leave it on your message.

Found a new elfquest friend (given elf name: Sooshee by Richard pini) and found many treasures and 165$ later, I am in love with the place!!! Way too expensive. Definitely felt like I was getting gouged. The life sized statues around the store were cool and they had a good action figure and variant cover selection. Other than that, theres better stores nearby to go to and support smaller businesses at a fairer price. I cant speak to the customer service because I didnt talk to a single employee, but I would not go back for the sheer fact that I could get everything there cheaper somewhere else.

Large Shop with a great selection of collectables, figures (old & new) & comics. Went into sell 2 boxes of comics. Buyer was very kind and friendly(while staff was great). She gave me a very honest strong offer to buy the 2 boxes I had for sale. I told her how little I knew about their value and she was very transparent about how much they were worth. I sold comics, bought a few things and left very satisfied with what I had in pocket. This is the shop to go to if your looking for hard to find collectable toys & figures. The Guy at the desk was a really friendly Guy he wasnt like other clerks that seem like your bothering them for just being there. He was really friendly even offered me if I wanted to play some video games.The place is amazing great deals too. Im really spoiled. I have Frank and Sons less than a mile away 2 days a week and I have Phat Collectibles the rest of the time. Its a local comic shop with a lot of heart and the best part: a staff that knows whats up. Not only are they skilled in matching you up to what you like, they are also skilled in awesome recommendations. Great for kids, awesome for adults. They also know indie to mainstream. My personal favorite is that they are always up to date on Marvel legends which is rare! Great ambiance, welcoming knowledgeable staff, up-to-date issues and collectibles, nuff said.

Worst customer appreciation and service in Orange County. Never have I been involved with a store that just does not give a crap about their customers. I started a pull list with their Huntington Beach location when it first opened, I cant even count how many times I asked for a specific book I wanted to buy, wether it was a variant or an alternate cover for one of the books on my pull list and they would not come through, most of the times the excuse was that the book I wanted was available at the Anaheim location or they just plain forgot, even though I saw them write it down on my pull sheet. I was willing to look past that, even when they moved the store and it was no long convenient for me. Today was the day they broke the camels back, I had gotten a call about my books a couple of weeks ago, I apologized for not being able to come in to pick them up but I had been busy with work. I told the person on the phone that I would come in as soon as possible to pick them up. Well I got there today and not only had they put my books back and sent them to the Anaheim store, but they canceled my pull list, after years of buying from them, without so much as a warning or a call to let me know this would happen. All the kid at the store would tell me was that it was the store policy, I have been buying books at Phat longer than he has worked their and never did I ever hear about this policy. So it is now completely obvious to me that ownership really doesnt care about their customers and hire completely incompetent people to work at their stores. If you are looking for a place where you will be disappointed regularly, and treated like crap as a customer by all mean go to Phat Collectibles, they should just change the name to Bad Collectibles.

I went there with $1000 worth of products. The guy said he would put them on the market for $950 and told me he would buy them from me for around $200. This guy who runs this place is a fraud. He doesnt buy your stuff, he steals it. Does he even know business or math? No wonder the main store went out of business. Save your money and definitely do not try and sell your stuff there. You wont get jack for any of it.

I went there on a Sunday afternoon for some comic hunting. The place was huge for a comic shop. They have a wide variety of collectables and vintage toys. A wide variety of comics as well. Nothing too fancy but it was ok for a comic book shop. They also have retro games but they were not so good, mainly sports games that nobody likes. The guy with glasses was really nice. He helped me find a couple stuff on my list and he said he would have the other things in a couple weeks, so Ill definitely go back to get them.

I have 2 comic stores in walking distance from me but I would much rather make the drive out to Phat Collectibles. everyone working actually engages in conversation and greets you. I cant tell you how many times Ive been to comic stores and never been greeted, let along having to wait at the counter just to be checked out. I supported Phat back when they were at Frank & So s. They are a good shop but if you want reliability and honest serive their okay. I was a long time pull list holder but when the got over ambitious and had to close quality stores I got lost in the change. Never got a call asking if I wanted to keep my books. That was kind of upsetting. Would of expected more.

I come regularly now, usually once a week or so. So the main boss over there knows me. I usually dig around the old pokemon cards selection and I feel welcomed there. They must have fired this one employee that use to work there because lets just say he wasnt every good at his job.

The people there are friendly and helpful, occasionally they forget an issue or 2 in my pull list. They also tend to get the short end of the stick with the distributor and even the main Phat Collectibles in Anaheim which isnt their fault. Just an unfortunate side effect of not being the primary store. Been coming here for almost a year now and I dont plan to change that anytime soon.

The guy working the front most nights is nice and seems to be into it. Have a decent amount of new books and some old but not a lot in the key issue department . Decent amount of collectibles definitely worth looking but not for hardcore vintage collectors looking to complete a collection of score a rare find.

Very disappointed with the customer service at this place. I had bought a couple figures from here. When I got home and took them out of the bag, an arm and a leg immediately fell right off the figures. I returned next day to tell them the problem so I could exchange it for different items, but I immediately was treated with total rudeness by the owner. I was told of their no returns policy that was printed on a small sign which was covered by big box of trading cards. On top of that, the owner treated me like I was some liar trying to pull fast one on him. All I wanted to do was exchange the faulty figures for something else that wasnt broken. Future customers be warned: fully inspect your products before buying! I hope the douche bag owner learns better customer service skills.

Very disappointed that I’m unable to obtain a COA for my signed merchandise from the Jason David Frank event. They dropped the ball communicating what steps to take if they ran out that day and now that they have some on hand they are saying they cannot give them out even if you have pictures from the day of the event and ticket slip. This is very unfair and unprofessional.Why should customers pay for their mistakes! Total BS!

Every other comic book store, I often wouldnt find the comic I was looking for as itd be sold out. This place ALWAYS had them, and if youre a comic collector, a Funko pop collector, a minifig collector, you name it, chances are youll find it here. Never not been looking forward to visiting again and is by far my favorite comic book store anywhere.

Very rude. Im from out of state and an avid comic book collector. I walked into this store because I was in the area, was thumbing through a comic book (AvX) and an employee (muscular Hispanic male) barked out this isnt a library, put it back or buy it!) I smiled because I assumed he was joking, but to my surprise he was quite serious and reiterated to place is back on the shelf. In my years of visiting comic book stores I have never experienced service like this. Every comic book store I have visited before this one treats you like family. It is unfortunate that this stores customer service is so poor, and I hope it does not turn off future comic book fans from the hobby.-Trevor

Man this store is the most unfriendly and rude overall. ive been a loyal customer from this store for 3 years and well ive just had it with the owner jason and his greedy agenda. when this store first had one local it offered the best prices around and they were under the competition, now everything is based on ebay bid sales and getting and estimate which includes shipping rates to price their figures. so in essence every time you purchase a collectable in this store you are also paying the shipping cost for each item. here is an example a gameboy advance sp asking price in the goodwill is around 15 dollars tops in phats the same gameboy is 60 dollars. just next time you go into this store make sure that whatever is you looking for you can find anywhere else because they are going to charge you based on what somebody paid for that item the most in ebay plus shipping.so jason is you are reading this take a lesson i hope you close down because a crook like yourself shouldnt own a store think about your customers and stop being so greedy. don;t worry i already cancel my pre order list with you and found a better store. one that care for its customers. i hope most of your customers leave you and your piece of crap hummer in the dust

Everytime my kids get some extra Birthday Money or Xmas Money Phats is the place they want to go. They dont always buy things... but they love just checking out all of the great collectibles, figurines and comics.
