I thought this was a great little place. Seems like a local go to bar and grill. Everyone was nice and welcoming. Had a very entertaining server Tony from New York; had a few good laughs. Good service, amazingly really good food for a little bar. The homemade chips were bomb. Drinks are poured right on! Thanks! I only dropped one star in rating due to smell of cigarette smoke that wafted in from outdoors. Highly recommend the charbroiled chicken quesadilla, the Chinese chicken salad, and Patty melt.

Local spot to just chill and relax. Just remember the kitchen closes before the bar, so be there before 7pm if you want some food for sure (the waitress said the kitchen closes at various times). Very intimate and friendly vibes, live music when I went was excellent. You can drink, eat, dance, chitchat, hangout, all in your tshirt and shorts. Pete is so cool 🤜🏻🤛🏻

Authentic Italian spaghetti.made with homemade sause. Shrimp scampi is a must if you like a bit of a kick in your shrimp. Outstanding service. This is a must!! In Palm Springs. Lounge music and Drag shows on scheduled days. Pete the owner and Wendy his daughter are the best. We will be back.

Pete’s is like drinking in your living room with friends. It’s a REAL neighborhood bar on steroids. You’ll meet so many great people, the drinks are amazing and damn.. the spaghetti is so good (homemade sauce). Go here for the great food, new friends, cocktails, live music… you’ll be happy.

A few days ago we tried the clam chowder soup and it was superb with lots of clams. Like the Italian spaghetti made with Wendy’s home made sauce that was also excellent. The most important thing is the service which was outstanding. Wendy and Pete the owners are very friendly and attentive. They made sure you would feel comfortable and appreciated as patrons. It has a bar The place and its throwback atmosphere made it a great place to have your meals and entertainment. We will come back. Highly recommend if you happen to visit Palm Springs.

After a long (hot) day on the road, Petes Hideaway was medicine: a cool, dark bar for grownups in need of a straightforward cocktail or bottle of beer. We had a great conversation with the bartender (whose advice proved impeccable as we continued north the next day), a delicious meal that tasted like home cooked in all the best ways, and a total tab that made us feel like wed stepped back at least a few years in time. Five stars all around.

Over priced and slow service.Was charged $25 plus tax for a rib lunch special that was a 1/4 Rack with a small portion of mashed potatoes and half a piece of toast.Crazy !!!Was really taken advantage of.Had been there a few times in the past.Definitely will not be back and will not recommend to my friends.There are much better choices

I usually come here every year during my summer break the spaghetti was always my favorite would always order the large. today it was 30 dollars and small portion and i asked the waitres if it be a large cause of the change in the menu she said yes and all the portions are the same the food was greesy the meat tasted over cooked like a burnt taste the diet coke was flat had no carbonationNever again now have to find another favorite restaurant

Solo at the bar a couple times over the years. A long term PS establishment well kept secret among locals, somewhat off the beaten path but not too far south of the main action. Lots of Hollywood 20th Century memorabilia photos decorate the walls behind the bar and throughout. Last visit I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad & tonic water for under $20. I have had their fish and chips too.Live entertainment some nights. Always visited too early to catch the entertainment.

Theres a whiff of stale when you enter the premises..so I chose the table closest to the door.Menu thrown my way..so were the utensils when the dinner salad was served.Bartender who took care of me was nice, offered a refill.My pasta was delicious. Usually Alfredo sauce is basically cream with some cheese added..no flavor.Plenty of flavor in their version.

This review makes me really sad…we love this place and Wendy and her Dad has always been great and welcoming. However the bartender that works at night ( with the ponytail, do not know name) was just very rude and almost aggressively verballyl abusive to us tonight when all we tried to do was have a conversation and ask why he was not having a great day (as he informed us as such). We paid our bill of $105 and did not leave a tip…which usually we leave 20 to 25%. We will not be back. Others at the bar agreed his attitude and tone was uncalled for and undeserving. Sorry this happen but we refuse to support this behavioral.

Quite the hideaway! Good bar room upfront. Wendy is a good hostess (and owner). Drinks and food are well prepared and reasonably priced. Pete also came around and made sure everyone was doing well.Now, the theater in the back with its drag queen show was totally raucous!! Lots of audience participation!! Loved it thoroughly!!!

What a nice surprise! Delicious food (BLT with fries), wonderful drinks (vodka martini), great service. Its a little surprising about how great this place could be inside if it were painted and/or otherwise spruced up (although its nicely clean) - its just very dated and strange. But - all in all - will go here again as the food, service, and drinks were definitely worth it!

I visited Petes Hideaway last week for a private function. Arranged by our tour manager. As soon as we arrived a menu was thrust at us and we were told we needed to order quickly as the kitchen was closing. We were given a menu sheet with a choice of nine meals. None of the meals were priced. I didnt ask the price as I presumed nothing would be more than $15 (having looked at the menu online before I got there) I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. My plate arrived with one meatball and a small portion of spaghetti with sauce. Personally I would have described the meal as a childs portion. Imagine my surprise when presented with my bill of $25 + tax!!!! In total it was $27 + cents. I gave her $30 and was not given any change. (Its up to me to offer a tip and not have my change taken)When I queried the price with the server (as the online menu gave 3 different price options from $9 to $19.99 for a small, medium or large portion, I was told they dont use those prices on the web any longer!!! Our party was certainly taken advantage of by being given menus without prices. But we learn by our mistakes!! I would say the restaurants dealings with our party was underhand and dishonest. OBVIOUSLY we wont be coming back as we were from the UK.The most expensive and smallest portion meal I received in any restaurant/diner in my 2 week vacation in the States.

Me and my girlfriend down for the weekend house hunting here and around palm springs just happened to drive by and saw Petes so we pull in and my girlfriend run in while I wanted in the care with our dog and she came back out all smiles and said come on in and meet Pete so I did Pete was great he let us eat on the patio because of our dog and the waitress ask if our dog needed any water and did she like bacon and when she brought our food made sure our dog got a couple slices of bacon and bowl of water naver had such great service in our life plus really good food at nice prices we highly recommend Petes, cant get better food or service anywhere for the price!!!!!!!

The atmosphere is fantastic. If Marilyn Monroe was still with us, Pete’s Hideaway would be her favorite place! The food was exceptional. I ordered the Turkey Club and Chicken Wings. Yummy times two! Presentation was delightful. When I took a bite of my Club Sandwich it literally melted in my mouth. It was the best Club I’ve ever had! FRESH ingredients! Service was great! I’m going back.

This is the best neighborhood bar in Palm Springs. Down at end of down town strip Palm Springs. Long bar, tall tables and lots of TVs. I watched close up charger game. Live music every night. Food was ok, but going into the restroom turned a basic food adventure into a cautionary tale.Just because they have a relatively new towel and soap dispenser, does not mean it is sanitary. The overwhelming smell of mould and rot permeates the air.Do Health Inspectors ever check restrooms? There is no way to mask this hazard.

Our first visit to Petes Hideaway was fantastic. went on a friday for dinner and the music, and got so much more. first, the food is really good... wasnt expecting it, but thought it worth a try and was very pleasantly surprised. the music was AMAZING... singer Brian Scott has a decent musical accompanying device and some serious pipes, crossing between old country, pop, 80s covers and his own style and material, very talented, and a really nice guy, to boot! much of his material is dance-able, too. best part is the welcome you get from both the family that owns and runs Petes, AND almost certainly the friendliest, least judgemental and most accepting clientele i think ive ever experienced. great drinks, too! well be back many times... and well try not to overdress and fall while dancing, too!

We carefully planned a bachelorette party for my niece. After reviewing information on the illusions drag show website, we decided to call Pete’s Hideout for more information. We were told there would be an additional show of male strippers after the drag queen show. This made our decision to choose Pete’s Hideout. After the end of the drag queen show, we were all hurried out of the bar and was the told that was the end of our event. I believed we we lured in by saying there would be an additional show after speaking to the owner twice saying (on speaker with our group) not to worry about the seating as they definitely wanted us to stay through the second show. They ruined my nieces special event.

This place is used to hold fake Magic Mike style male strip show. I am working with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and a lawyer to expose the huge scam these people are running. If you have ever been scammed by this place or a place claiming to be called Savage Men Strip club or Hunk-o-maina I urge you to contact the BBB. They are praying on bachelorette parties that come in from out of town. Pathetic.
