Ethan is our regular groomer. He always does an amazing job with our dog Holly. I was pleasantly surprised when he texted me that he had a cancellation and could take Holly earlier yesterday. I was happy to take her in early. Its always nice to have consistency in grooming not only with the same style of grooming but with the same groomer. Our dog is very comfortable with Ethan and that is important to us.

One of the worst animal stores! They are always out of stock of so many items! Manager do better on your ordering!! They also only have 1 cart that doesn’t even work! As well as consistently out of bags 🤨 I know you have quotas to meet but for a better customer experience do better.

We had appointment on Monday at 11am for grooming. When we showed up for the appointment we were notified that the groomer called in sick and they will call us to reschedule. We had made that appointment two weeks prior and Petco staff did not bother to call us with the matter. Ive called a couple of times and got run around. Bad business and poor job. Thank you

I brought my dog in for grooming. Parus was the stylist. She received us with a nasty attitude and did not seem to be listening to my directions when I dropped the dog off.When I picked up the dog, Parus had shaved the dog all over, claiming the fur was matted. She also nicked one of the dogs skin tags with the clippers, causing bleeding. Not only that, she did not trim the nails.When I got home, the dog was squinting and had red eyes. We went to the vet and the diagnosis was corneal ulcers, caused by physical trauma or chemical trauma. My dog was damaged by Parus and the grooming team at this Petco location.Photos show 2 days before grooming, and after grooming.

You need to higher professional groomers, there is only one poor girl working there and I can tell she was over worked and overwhelmed. I took my dog for grooming and ended up having to go back 3 different times to get a full haircut and it was still not right. At the end I felt like they were full of excuses. Not ever going back! and definitely not recommending to any one not only was the grooming horrible, but everything is overpriced, compared to other pet supply stores.

Petco’s website says that nail trimming is WALK IN ONLY service and the grooming salon should be open every day till 6 pm (I verified this information with Petco’s support.) I came to the store at 4 pm to get my dogs nails trimmed and to my surprise, the whole grooming area was closed already. I checked the whole store and the only worker there was a cashier with a line of 10 customers in front of her, so I decided to wait. When another employee finally showed up, I was informed that the grooming lady left a bit earlier on that day because her last appointment was canceled. Since the employee had the groomer’s schedule open, I asked if I could come back the next day around the same time and I didn’t get a clear answer to that. That was the moment I realized that the “Salon Hours” are far away from the truth and the grooming area closes whenever they want to. I called the salon the next day around 2 pm, to make sure they were open so I could bring my dog for nail trimming in 20 mins. When I arrived at the store the grooming lady told me she was fully booked for the day, and she couldn’t take me in because I didn’t have an appointment. I told her there’s no such thing as booking an appointment for nail trimming online because it’s a walk-in service and she said she would have to book the appointment online from her computer. I didnt have the energy to argue with her about how walk-in services work, and I knew she wouldnt be able to explain why the employee who was helping me the day before didnt make the appointment for me or at least tell me upfront that Im gonna have to go to the store to ask the groomer to book the appointment online for me. The only thing I wanted to know at this point was why didnt she tell me she was fully booked when I was with her on the phone, or if she wasnt fully booked yet why didnt she tell me I needed an appointment for their walk-in service? She simply explained to me that I must have spoken with her colleague who just left. The sad thing is I didnt hear a single apology during those two days, just a bunch of excuses. I checked other reviews on Google and it seems the grooming salon got its last positive review 9 months ago so maybe its about time to look into this issue for real instead of just thanking your customers for giving you one star reviews

Irresponsible staff. Ive made an appointment, they sent me many confirmations. And when I arrived another staff told us that they are running late about one hour! One hour?! Are you serious? Also, it seems to me that stuff dont smart at all cuz they gave us 2 choices: waiting or rescheduling. I see another way the staff who running late should get a high fine or if it is not the first time just fired them. Or if u know about your staff just notify people!!! It so simple!!!

Picked up my dog from the groomer (Yesenia) and her Legs/Paws were still wet. It wasnt even just a little bit. Its hard to believe the groomer didnt notice. Her ears were also damp. On the ride home my dog smelled like a stinky wet dog. It was unfortunate that I had to pick up a stinky wet dog from the groomer.

We rescued a dove that had fallen into our pool last week during all the high winds. While my family kept it warm and safe, I rushed to Petco to get food and water/food holders. I couldnt find the special DOVE FOOD in the bird food isle and ROGER came back to the area to search but we still werent able to find it. He took the time to go back into the storage area of the store and was finally able to find a bag, he suggested holders for water/food and took the time to listen to our rescue story. He was also kind enough to explain a return policy if needed. The GREAT NEWS is that the dove came out of shock about 4:00 AM, started its beautiful cooing and was ready to fly away. We took it outside, winds had abated and the dove took off, but not before sitting on the edge of the cage, looking at us for a while and then flying into the night. ROGER you were amazing, so thoughtful and you really went the extra mile - thank you for caring.

If you are planning to get fish here wont recommend this place .. see the pictures . Most of the tanks have a dead fish indication it is not healthy tank other than that it is good store for other pets . Friendly staff and easy checkout ...

The aquatic section is AWEFUL!! the fish are always sick and dying, the plants are infested with black beard and others are completely dry. No water agitation in the goldfish aquarium,dog food area is full of unknown bugs. Buying fish from this store is not recommended at all!

The groomer(Gabriela C) cancel my dog appointment and when I called to asked her the reason, she was so rude on the phone and for reschedule very impatient!!!I asked her to cancel my dog appointment bcz the date she gave me didn’t work, then she hang up the phone on me !! The woman behind the counter on Sunday February 7, 2021 at 6:15 pm was extremely rude. We were asking for price checks on items because it was labeled wrong and she got frustrated by us (the customer) asking about how we were spending our money. She told us rudely, “I don’t know what to tell you!” Is this an appropriate response to a customer spending money at your store?? I’m spending my $50.00 at Petsmart, where I believe they will appreciate our money during COVID 19. We won’t be using the grooming salon any longer either due to this incident. This is just for grooming but we went in and chose the middle fur coat length and the woman (I think she is new, her name is Parus and the rest of the grooming staff) completely shaved him down to his skin and charged us 112 dollars. The poor dog is so uncomfortable and he looks so embarrassed and it was just an awful experience all round.

I discovered that the in-store prices at the Canoga Park location are MASSIVELY marked-up when compared to the listed prices online. I discovered this by chance while I was at the store about to go to the cash register; I instead took the items out of my real world shopping cart and instead added them to my online one, and then chose to pick the items up in-store. And to be clear, the price difference wasnt due to any online promotion; the normal online prices was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the normal in-store price. Thats super shady and shame on that store manager. And rest assured, I am going to tell everyone I see at that store to check the online prices (or better yet, go to PetSmart--because I subsequently checked the prices there, and they are also significantly lower).

The service there is poor the workers walking around in a daze like there not even at work. Some standing around talking and when I politely asked for help they both looked at me like I was bothering them. Then one gave quick, poor directions where to find the crickets. Which I wandered around until I found them kept in small plastic containers, some already dead, they looked deprived of oxygen and very dry. The people who work here obviously do it for the $money not from the HEART❤ 🐶🐕🐩🐱🐈🦔🐉🐠🐡🦋🐛🦆🐸🐢😽

They have really good bowls over there and so many pets there and now they have cats. They have cute clothes, toys, and beds. They have so many treats and a tooth brush so there mouth doesnt sink. You guys should go there it is really nice in there.

But the Caucasian Male before us was treated with 5star Customer service. I spoke to Travis the Supervisor about Tianas Poor Customer Service Travis seemed very Irratated that I took 1minute of his time to discuss Tianas poor Customer Service. I gladly returned my items except for the$5 I donated to the Pet Fund.. Travis told me Tiana has worked there 2years with not one Complaint (dont believe that Sir)WOW the worst Petco.

Of all the Petcos in the valley I can honestly say this one is my favorite. For it being in a very popular shopping center its NEVER crazy busy inside. Also the store is very well kept, literally every time Ive gone everything was nice and neat on the shelves and the floors were spotless. The best part of this location and most Petco stores Ive been to is the customer service. These people genuinely love animals and are extremely knowledgable about all the products they carry along with being EXTREMELY friendly. I absolutely love this location and will continue coming back so long as I live in the 818 :)

Went there to get information about dog training, the ladies there were very nice and eager to help me. One of the girls there offered to call the dog trainer for him to explain how everything worked. I had my son with me and he was getting a little annoyed of waiting and so was I but I understood that the dog trainer was on his lunch. So I waited, the dog trainer came out of his lunch and was told that I needed to talk to him he looked my way and went back in to the back of the store the second time he came out he was told again I was waiting and didnt even attempt to approach me. He decided to talk to someone else and when I looked back he was gone. I found this very rude and poor customer service he has. One of the girls apologized and I understood this wasnt her fault. I will not be taking my puppy here to get trained by this Jeff guy. Waste of time.

Petco made ordering online and picking up my products such an easy process. I placed the order at 7:00 and by 9:00 am I received a message my order was ready. When I picked up my order I drove up, called the number emailed to me and within a few minutes I had an employee deliver it right into the trunk of my car. My hope is that this process continues indefinitely.

This Petco is alright.. its one of the two big box stores for pets. This particular one has been remodeled recently. Personally, I find prices are high in most products here because of lack of competition. Selection is good for good, but not so great for accessories. Most of their stuff is made in China and I wouldnt be surprised if much of it is their brand essentially. Service at the register is a little slow because there is often only one or two cashiers.

This review is for the grooming department. I alway go to the Fallbrook petco and they were all booked so I called the Ventura location and they booked me a same day appointment. Everyone was friendly from drop off to pick up and the grooming was perfect. I will definitely be back.

I was discriminated against by a woman name Suzzie who sold kittens at Petco. Everything was a go until my color was exposed. I was ignored by Suzzie while she spoke to two other Armenian women. I had to introduce myself because she had no idea it was I whom she was conversing with her for the past three days. When I held my hand out to introduce myself, she gave me that ugly look that Black people get all too often. She gave me an excuse that she could not sell me the kittens because she had to conduct a house visit, which I had no problem with. She told me Petco was having issues with her selling the kittens at their location. There was no logic to her babbling. I walked out and she told my son to give her the 200.00 for the kittens and that she would deliver them to my house the next day. (What happened to the home visit)? I walked back in to Oetxo and asked to speak to the manager. This is when things get a bit confusing. The manager told me Petco does not any say in how people sell their merchandise.(what)? The manager did not care that I had over 300 dollars with of merchandise ready to purchase once I received the kittens. He just pretty much shrugged and went on his way. I find racism appalling, especially when people from other countries come to America and have the nerve to be prejudice.

Horrible haircut i will not go backThey never called and the store was, and when i went to pickup my dog they had me describe her we do not know which one she is...Haircut longer than i asked and uneven, now i have to find a groomer to fix it. Petco should fix this it looks like i gave her a haircut..
