Took in my flat tire expecting it was not repairable and instead had such a great experience! Kobe quickly identified the leaky valve, replaced it, then installed the now repaired tire back on my car. Super fast and friendly service! Kobe was fantastic, really appreciated his can-do attitude.

5/5 Stars! Going to a mechanic as a woman can sometimes feel scary, especially when you’re not sure about the products or service you’re requesting. Mark made this whole process a smooth and comfortable experience. Any questions I had were answered and explained thoroughly. Payment plans are available and ease the financial stress of paying it all up front. If you’re going, ask for Mark!

I remember when customer service was superior coming here! I came recently and purchased 2 new tires a total of $400. I was in a rush for an appointment and I asked how long would it take? I was told by “Gary” 1 hour. Another guy serviced my vehicle and he stopped to help someone else without an appointment. I was a little concerned as this vehicle was requesting air. I left there with no air covers/ val to keep air from coming out of my tire. No shine on my tires. In addition my tire light was still on. Service is not like it use to be! I paid for 2 new tires and 2 air Val covers. Gary was the supervisor for the day and he needs to train his employees better. Sad to report in 2024.

Called in for a last minute oil change that I needed right away. Being in the delivery service business I need one sooner than most. Kobe and the rest of the associates here went above and beyond to get me in and out and addressed all of my questions and concerns. Would definitely recommend and will be a returning customer.

My rental car had low PSI for both rear tires, so I went to Pep Boys to get more tire pressure. Brian did a great job with filling all four to their regular PSI levels. Highly recommend because it’s also close to the hotel where I stayed at.

Mark and his staff did a very good job working on my truck, which included oil change, tire rotation, and routine brake service. I asked them to check my brakes because they sqeak when I back up and they did not try to rip me off and said that I need new brakes even though I let them know that I had went to the place who did my brakes twice after the initial visit and they still sqeaks. I was told they most likely used check brake pads but other than that everything looks good.

All of a sudden had a misfire and they saved the day. They were almost done with the day and they were going to close the shop but they took time to help me. Which I am very grateful for. Im glad they fix the problem, And they got it done very quickly.

If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service was absolutely pathetic. It’s really unfortunate because as a businessman myself I try to uphold my standards to excellence as much as possible. You never know who’s going to want your service and that’s a lesson I think men like Gary the man who dealt with me needs to learn. I called earlier in the day about coming in to address a nail in my tire. I was told by someone on the phone that I would not need an appointment, see I even considered how valuable their time might be as well. I didn’t just assume I would get service so I intentionally made sure they could fit me in. I was told I could come in at any time and I would be taken care of. Another tip for customer service if your going to promise someone you will take care of them it’s best to ask for a name and maybe the kind of car they drive so they can be identified when they come in, or better yet take my phone number down so just in case it gets busy you can call me back and let me know that you are booked for the day but will definitely try to get me in as soon as possible. but hey maybe I don’t know what im talking about. Besides the point, I was truly disappointed with my in person interaction. I show up two hours before it closes and Gary decides to give me a could shoulder by briefly telling me “I can’t take you today” then walking away with no further interaction. This exchange was utterly disappointing as Gary didn’t even try to assess my needs. I mean no regard for what my concerns may be. Only thinking of getting his paycheck at the end of the 2 week period and ready to get out. I think this is incredibly incompetent given the fact that automobile issues can be very dangerous. To him he didn’t seem to think how what I’m going through can put me at risk of what I might encounter on the road. Not only that but the fact he didn’t try to refer me elsewhere or see how else he can help me is a reflection of the kind of training pep boy’s employees receive. I hope the owner sees this review because he should be concerned about how people like Gary choose to handle potential customers. This may not be entirely Gary’s fault either, this actually points to a breakdown in communication amongst the employee who work there as well given the fact I encountered 2 different voices from the phone interaction to in person. I’ve trained many employees in the past and I can promise you employees like that will absolutely stunt your business sales. As a owner I hope you truly take a situation like this personal because im providing valuable insight into how important it is to be curious about the customer. From phone etiquette all the way to the in person interaction it was extremely poor. I can’t even mention the individuals name who I dealt with on the phone because he never said his name. This is truly a zero star review and I hope it’s received as a learning lesson

From the moment I walked I was greeted by Mark, who was extremely nice. He checked my car in and offered the managers special. Better for the car’s longevity. Sold! Instantly… When I came back for pick up Mark mentioned one thing that might need to get done in the next couple of miles…but of course typical of me I wanted to push it off… but Mark mentioned what’s another hour… your already here… sold again… lol. Came back and car was done.Check out by Greg. And for whatever reason my credit card wasn’t working.. Greg stayed super patient and helpful and offered to run my credit card manually so I could still use my credit card. It know it doesn’t seem like nothing to brag about but it’s the little things in life that matter.Mark and Greg both were super helpful and honestly there were no complaints. I trust these guys and have always come here with my other vehicles… so give them a shot.Thanks guys !

Terrible. I am actually waiting for the corporate office to contact me. They sold us the wrong battery for our van and after 2k of mechanic bills because the car was having issues and not starting, they determined it’s the wrong battery. When my husband went in, the manager was so rude he wouldn’t even acknowledge the error and explained they don’t sell batteries anymore without installation. I then went In the following day with the receipt showing it was sold to us a few months ago & he basically kicked me out of the store because he didn’t want to deal with the situation. The manager treated us so disrespectful, and has zero people skills. It’s so unfortunate that companies can’t stand behind good service, and if they do make a mistake to have the decency to make the situation right. It’s sad.

Got an oil change, pretty normal experience. 2 weeks later, dealership tells me I need an oil change. When I tell them I got one a couple weeks ago, they say it was the wrong weight oil, engine was running too rich. NOW, I need to replace all the fuel injectors because of my bad oil change. I guess Ill find somewhere else for oil changes.

My car would not start Sunday morning. My battery was 3 years old, out of warranty, called 0930 to make an appointment at 1 pm. I used my lithium battery charger, started up and arrived 12:30 pm. They had battery ready to install in my 2008 Jeep Compass. They cleaned battery brackets, added new pads under cables, tested alternator, had me done before 1 pm. Fast, clean job. They have good hours and I have a new Pep Boys battery for another 36 months.

Friday March 31 at 4pm I when to pepboys to get my breaks fix I was told by one of the mechanics that they close at 7pm I ask him if they can check my SUV he said of course just go to the fron desk and let them know he follow me to the front desk and I ask the guy Garry if they can check mi car he said you what to let your car overnight I said now can you check it right now he said now we are leaving in 20 minutes I ask him you guys close at 7 hi said we are to busy but 3 of the mechanics where just seat at the shop doing nothing the mechanic who follow me was surprised when he said we leaving in 20 minutes look at me and shake his head I think was just discrimination from Garry the reason he dont want to check my car bad business for this Pep Boys atach a picture that shows how busy they were.

I had an appointment for an oil change at the Monrovia location at 2pm on 10/5. The oil change took over 2 hours, and when I started my car to leave there was an EPC light on, and the car barely started.Went back in the store, and the manager said that was impossible, because they “complete the full inspection before starting any service”.The car will now barely start or run.I took it to a different shop, and we discovered that the socket used to remove the oil filter housing has broken off of the wrench, and the crankshaft sensor is broken.Returned to the store with photos, and the manager offered to refund my oil change and replace the broken part. No apology, and I was told I should have brought it back to this store instead of somewhere else if I don’t want to pay for the repairs (OF THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED) in the first place.Why would I bring my car back to the place that broke it, and then denied it without even checking????

Id give no stars if I could. They had my truck for 3 days couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Then gave nothing but attitude when they couldnt fix it. AAA found out in like 5 mins when they checked. Got nothing but excuses. Every day they had it was nothing but an excuse on why they couldnt get to it. I will never take anything to them again.

I made an appointment for the next morning after getting a flat. Pep Boys made it easy to shop for tires online. They had better prices than Costco. I was able to get my car new wheels and extra. They fixed it up within a few hours and it is running great! Also, I should mention that I go here to top off my air pressure when necessary and they are always fast and helpful and its free!

Be aware, check your car for any scratches or damage you already have before leaving your car because they could leave minor damage or scratches while doing the service, I left my car today and saw there was a minor dent on the drivers side that did not have before. I also came here the other day with a different car for wheel balancing and saw that one of my tire rims has scratches.

Lifetime align went well and I didnt have to wait long. However, their computer system could be improved. They didnt have a record of my lifetime alignment because I had purchased it from another Pep Boys location that no longer exists. So, keep you paperwork for proof. Another system problem was that I scheduled an appointment online, but when I arrived their alignment machine was down, so I wasted 20 minutes driving there to turn around and go home. The second time I called and set appointment. That went without a glitch. The counter person was polite.

2 stars for the good customer support at the front desk. However, zero stars for the price theyre charging for the car battery. Its cheaper to get the original battery from the dealer than getting it from Pep Boys - $395 from Pep Boys unknown brand vs OEM battery from dealer, $313. (Shocking to say the least!) I thought this place would be cheaper since theyre selling 3rd party parts. I was dead wrong! If youre trying to save money, look elsewhere or just go to the dealership to buy the parts.

That Mike was at my local Pep Boys. I had a great experience with him in Torrance, and was so saddened to know that he had left and went to another store. He was always so accommodating to me and my late husband. I went in the other day for an oil change. I tried calling, but no one answered the phone when I went there I did not see Mike I’m not sure the person‘s name that I spoke to. I believe it started with an M and I think his name is Mark. I asked if Mike was there and I was told that he did not work here anymore, and that if I wanted help that he was going to be the one who helped me. I have gone for an oil change, obviously I didn’t have them touch my car. I went to the dealer and let the dealer do it. Mike brought me back to Pepboys, whoever this rude guy is took me away from Pepboys again. I will never go to Pepboys again.

Very very very TERRIBLE experience. They could probably do tires, but definitely NOT car repairs. I went to fix coolant leak problem. After their service, my battery was totally dead, windshield washer spray was broken, and mostly unbelievably the coolant was mixed with engine oil. My coolant tank is very dirty with dark oil. I only got to know this later through a mechanic check at some other place. I was told even with $$$ spent to have it cleaned, the residue oil in coolant channel would still stay. The damage to the engine was already done.The simple replacement of the broken pipe and coolant fluid got charged close to $1,200!Most crucially, they simply do NOT know how to repair cars. I felt immediately wrong when I called to ask why they could not deliver the car on time as promised. I was told that they had problem putting the parts back in place and that they had to dismantle it and were trying to put them back together.When I finally got my car back, battery was dead, they told me after running for a while, the battery can be charged again. But my car cannot start again after driving for more than 20 Minutes. One of the front desk guy was nicely came to my parking lot (4 blocks away from the store) and jump it for me, I drove back and they replaced my battery for additional charge of $220.And my windshield washer spray was broken, which were all fine the day before when I dropped my car off. Of course they denied any fault on their end. I ended up having to pay extra to have the problems fixed.It is simplest work for the most common car. They not only overcharged for hundreds $$$, delayed in delivering the car, but also caused damage to my engine and ruined a number of other parts. I have no idea how could a business run like this.Save yourself money and headache, and NEVER go to this one for car repair!

Didn’t install coolant reservoir properly - it was leaking. They put back some original parts from my old reservoir that were supposed to be replaced. Had trouble with my battery after I got the car back too. Really bad at repairs, I won’t come back and don’t recommend this place on bigger repairs. I contacted customer service 3 times because no one was getting in contact with me - their workers are very unprofessional all around.

Highly recommend this shop. I rarely write reviews but felt obligated after my experience here. Blew a tire on the freeway and was able to wheel my way over to this pep boys. I have a pretty rare and high end set of tires, so i was worried they wouldnt have what my car required. Steve, the manager, was able to make a phone call before a tire supplier warehouse closed ( 1pm on a saturday) and had my tire delivered to the store and replaced in no time. They discovered a problem 3/4 of the way into the job: the last wheel was the wrong style, and the other 3 were already done. The service here is very perfunctory, and they are not professional. I asked them to change the tires. I brought 4 tires with the front size and the rear size and they installed them upside down. After waiting almost 12 hours for an oil change, their rep told me to pick up my car and come back tomorrow.I called at 8am in the morning to ask if they will be able to do an oil change. The guy told me just bring the car as early as you can, and they will take care of it. I showed up with my car within 10 minutes, and he told me it will be done. I called a few hours later to check on the status, and a few hours after that. They haven’t start with my car because they are busy. I called at 7pm to check because they close at 8pm, and I told the rep I have waited all day for a simple oil change. He kept saying it will be done by end of day. And according to him, his “end of day” is not 8pm, they may work late because they are “busy”. He laughed at me when I said I waited 11 hours for an oil change. He told me “the person who helped me in the morning is Richard, and he is the manager. Richard usually don’t tell customer an estimate time. He should have but I can’t do anything about it because he is my manager. but I always tell customers it will be done by end of day”. He continued, “you can pick up your car right now, and come back tomorrow morning.” Not only he blamed his own manager for their inconsistent services, he laughed at me, but also, he did not attempt anything to resolve the issue. He just trying to kick me out of the store so he won’t get blamed.I went ahead to pick up my car, it’s not very convincing that they are so “busy” when only 2 of their 8 garages had cars in them, in which one of the car has been at the same spot since morning. On the service counter, the Store Manager of Service put a sign says, “if you are not completely satisfied with the service call my cell.” I called and left a message last night. I still didn’t get a callback. They didn’t even have the curtesy to clean up after themselves, I found plastic and paper in my car that they are too busy to for.Store Manager, if you don’t mean it, don’t put it on your counter. It’s just unprofessional to lie to your customers. I have gone to this store for several years now, it was never this bad. You probably don’t really care to lose one customer because you are so “BUSY”.

I had an appointment for an oil change at 1PM. When I went to the counter, the woman told me that I was the first of 3 people with a 1PM appointment, so I would be next. So I go sit in their waiting area. After waiting over an hour, I get up to check on the status of my car and am told Oh, they should be starting soon. what happened to being next?Meanwhile, a lady who came in half an hour after I did was already having her car worked on and she and I struck up a conversation. She didnt feel it was fair to me that I had been essentially bumped when she came in, only because a technician had just finished another car at the time. So she and I went back up to the counter. Keep in mind this is another 20 minutes after I was told they would be starting to work on my car, and my keys and paperwork were still sitting on the counter. The manager apologized and said the woman had written up the paperwork and forgotten to tell him, and said he would find someone to work on it.40 minutes later, my car is finally ready, 2 hours and 15 minutes after my appointment time. All for a simple oil change. To his credit, Rich, the manager comped the service (without my asking) and acknowledged that they messed up.But this place really needs to work on their customer service training. Never in the first hour+ that I was waiting was I told there would be a delay. If Id known, I wouldve gone and run some errands then come back later.

Where to start... I lost countless hours while awaiting my car to be fixed at this shop for a simple thing. The car was always tilting to the left when driving. Never in my life have I ever had an experience with a service with a pep boys employee. He was extremely rude when I had my car towed here to replace a front tire. They informed me that they had my tire here so I had it towed here. I pulled in front of the tire service center where the employee told me to go than the service manager i believe his name was Christian came out and rudely told me to move my car that had a flat and not park at the front where you enter to get your tire fix. 5 stars for friendliness however i did have a negative experience with the actual service done to my car. Got an oil change here because of a $20 discount I found on line. Everything originally seemed fine and the guys even rotated my tires in the pattern that I preferred. But the next morning I woke up with a big oil stain on my driveway. This prompted me to check my oil level and saw that my level was way beyond the max level. I took my car back in and explained the problem. I was told that the oil plug gasket was not in good shape which caused the mess on my drive way. They also confirmed they had accidentally added 6 qrts of oil instead of the 5.4 that was required. An hour later, I had a new oil and a new gasket in my car and drove away. I was late for work and annoyed that the service was not done correctly the first time and upset about the big oil stain I now have on my drive way.

Avoid the service center. Ive never had a problem buying parts inside the store but apparently trying to have your oil changed is an impossible task. I called Wednesday and asked about coming after work at 5 pm and was told they only had one technician and probably couldnt get to me. thats fine. nobodies time was wasted. I came in the next day on my lunch break asking if I could leave my car and pick it up after work again. The guy told me he couldnt guarantee by five because there were other cars to get to. okay. again thats fine. I asked if I should make an appointment and he told me to drop my keys in the box early or come in early the next day. Alright, the next morning Im there at 8:45. I leave my car. All good. Grab an Uber to and from work. Arrive at Pep Boys almost 9 hours later at 5:25ish pm. The guy tells me they didnt get to me yet. What? He says they got busy with people who had appointments. What? Why didnt you set me up with an appointment the evening before when I asked about it? He told me it would probably be another hour. Not cool. Its an oil change and tire rotation not a complete overhaul. Ive had quicker and better service at those drive up Valvoline shops where you just wait in line in your car. I wasted $20 on Uber rides for nothing. I will gladly just go back right down the street to Wards where it might cost me a little more, but they are honest, friendly, and get things done.

On Tuesday morning I asked for an oil change and a replacement tire of any brand that would work. They waited 2 days for other shops to have a specific one according to the person I spoke with on Thursday (not even a tire that matches the one on the vehicle), promising me Tuesday and Wednesday it would be done tomorrow ASAP, we made sure the tire has been overnighted. So on the third day (Thursday morning) of them doing this, I asked if they had any other tires that were the same size and that would work, and they several in stock. I asked them to tell me a quote, which he responded same as the last to which I will soon find out if it is true. Thursday afternoon they called to let me know it was done, and then they asked if I wanted the oil change still to which I response, and they said they would call me back. This is the first time to go to Pep Boys Monrovia store for a oil change. Before go to the store, I did make a phone call, and asked if I could come in now for a oil change without an appointment, one of a manager said ok, till I got there about 20 minutes later, the same manager said, the time is their lunch hour(3pm), if you want to have an oil change, you need come back an hour later. This one star is just for the supposed service manager, BERT AGULAR. The rest of the staff at the store have always been top notch. This guy gave me an estimate for two tires to mount on loose wheels, the estimate was 40 dollars more than the day before when I was shopping around. Went for smog came out with driver door needing repair. Worse part I took the car home and didnt notice till next day, call em and the sup says oh yea the acura yea we crashed the door. Should ve just used my regular smog tech.

The one in pasadena by far the worst place in the world. Took my vehicle there. They said power steering pump. We pay 500. Took it back 3 times. Still not working. Last time they said its now something different. Rip offs

I went there to have my front left headlight replaced. They could not so it doesnt me but provided the means that I could change the lamp out myself. Anything to avoid a citation for no headlight.

I purchased a battery at this location in 2010 and started having issues with it starting in mid 2011. After not being able to find my receipt i finally called in. They ran my # and had no record of the purchase and told me I was sol without receipt, issue persisted and o called back and spoke to a manager which asked more questions and seemed much more helpful, found out that the batt was only available at pepboys and told me to bring it in. That following day I went in and spoke to Art the service asst manager, he tested the batt, cleanned the terminals and even placed deterrent for the corrosion on the batt connectors at no charge thinking this was the issue (poor connection). Weeks later the car wouldnt start I brought it back and they replaced the batt and installed it for free. Now thats what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will continue to rely on pepboys for my vehicle service needs. Happy Customer as always at this location.

My sister lives 3 minutes from this Pep Boys on Huntington and took her car in to see what was wrong with it. They told her that her Ignition Coil was bad and that 2 of her spark plugs were not working.Turns out that she needed to take it to the Dealership for a posible recall for the ignition coil and they said there was NOTHING WRONG with the ignition coil which Pep Boys was going to charge her like $200.00 to replace it.Just goes to show that Automotive places still try to take advantage of single women!

I got 2 new tires from them. My only complaint is they took the old tires put them in front and as you guessed the the new ones in back. I have a front wheel drive car why would they do that. Needless to say three days later one of the front tires blew on the sidewall go figure!
