I had this Pep Boys do my brakes last weekend and a few days later I hear my brakes making a weird noise. I looked into and found front left caliper missing a bolt. Took it back to them and I’ve waited two hours and my truck is still in the bay waiting for parts. No apology or update as it seems like they don’t care. Next brake job I’ll be taking my truck somewhere else.

I went in because my brakes where squeeking really bad. They solved the issue. I have been to different places and they just kept on taking my money till I came here. Carlos was really nice and helpful. Then Maria helped me. She said dont worry bring it back and will fix it. From start to finish they were very professional and communicated with me what was wrong. Prices are fair too. I really recommend thus store.

Everybody is always friendly and accommodating, and they do good work. When they provide a time estimate, its always accurate so you know exactly when your car is going to be ready. The courtesy inspections are included and great coupons can be found onlineEdit: Brought a 2nd vehicle same day. Brake lights out. I had purchased the bulbs but hadnt replaced them yet. Lonnie had me hand them over and he installed them himself. Great service!

Rafael was super helpful and friendly! I came in to have 4 tires installed with and alignment. I stressed that I wanted to be in and out as quickly as possible as I had my 3 month old baby with me. They had me squared away in an hour and a half. A big thank you to the crew for that!

Checked my car battery really quick. I needed a new one. They told me it would probably be 1.5-2 hours. I said ok. Was waiting on my mom to pick me up and thought I would just walk (exercise) and they called me back within an hour said it was ready. He said I saw you walking, I told him I was just getting some exercise, while Iwas waiting for my mom to pick me up, but youre awesome!

Have you EVER hugged your mechanic after leaving the shop? (I did for the first time.)LONNIE K. went above and beyond to make sure that my car looked better on the way out than it did on the way in. His attention to details were fantastic and he had my car in-and-out in less time than expected. In and out pretty quickly. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got what I needed (brake fluid) at a pretty fair price. Unfortunately there was a pretty weird characters (guy with a large 2 plastic white horse) walking around talking to himself AND customers including me. He seems to have taken exception to me wearing a mask covering my nose and mouth that had the U.S. and Mexico Flags on them. He loudly said something like MEXICO...WHAT!? (Im African American). But I just ignored him. Didnt want any confrontation. BUT luckily there is an Armed Security Guard walking around the parking lot. But Unfortunately/Honestly, I wouldnt send my Mom, Wife, or Daughter there alone. Sorry. :( 3/27/23 Today was much better then my last visit. Also, when I signed up for their points system thingy, I received $10 off which I didnt even know about. AWESOME!

I have been a good customer for years, and Carlos did not look after a good solid customer and tried to maximize the cost. He big time over quoted from $980 and I ended up paid $650, which still not a good price. Changed my mind on the work due to over quote but, they started on the car already with my permission. Carlos agreed that I changed my mind and we agreed on the $35 evaluate fees, which Im ok. They put the work back on my car that they just started, but the car missed fired and the engine was shaking. So I did not want to take a chance to drive the shaking engine back home, so I had no chance except to make decisions to do the work on the over estimated cost. It appears Carlos did not care about the engine missed fire that his mechanic told him right in front of me. I WAS REALLY NOT HAPPY AND WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PEP BOYS EVER AGAIN. CARLOS MAY MAKE GET A FEW HUNDRED DALLAS OF THE DEAL, BUT PEP BOYS WILL LOSE GOOD SOLID CUSTOMER FOREVER!!

My mechanic today was Alex he was nice, friendly and knew his stuff to the dot, he got my car up and going in a great time matter. Always come here for my oil change.Pep boys is who my cars previous owners trusted and recommended and I have to say Im glad they did.Theyve always provided great service and did it in a timely fashion even when I walked in with no reservation. =)However, it is quicker if you make one. All the employees here have been friendly to me each time I have been there. I never paid that much for an oil change but everything they serviced was needed. I love the text feature and they send you pictures of what needs to be fixed, so you see why it needs to be replaced. Also an auto part store is right next store.

Service manager will try to GROSSLY overcharge you for run-of-the-mill 3rd party parts- not even OEM, as if internet price comparisons dont exist and also as if there isnt an Advance Auto Parts store connected to their service center. The job was done right, but with parts I bought right next door, at a savings of over $700. If you must use them, educate yourself on prices!

Ripoffs. Brought my car to get my ac checked and fixed. They took $49 for diagnosis and charged $945 to fix my ac compressor. I called a mechanic friend of mine and after paying him $200, he fixed the problem. He said it wasnt the compressor that had the problem, that it actually the belt drive that needed replacing. He also had to refill my freon because pepboys drained it doing their diagnosis. So I had to spend an extra $60 refilling my freon. Now I know where to not take my car henceforth. Dont take your car here because they will try to make money off you and sell you an unnecessary fix. Did I mention that my car is a 2006 Ford escape which is my beater car? Yes, $945 to replace a compressor in a 2006 car.Edit: The store manager made it right by refunding me for his staff member wrongly diagnosing my car and almost costing me $1000 if I had gone with the repair. Thank goodness I have a competent and honest friend who is a mechanic. I wonder how many people have fallen for this expensive mistake and lost thousands. Train your staff better to diagnose peoples cars better.

I went to Pep Boys to get a new battery for my vehicle which was still under warranty. Unfortunately I didn’t have my receipt from my original purchase so the manager referred me to their financial department to try and receive a copy of my receipt that way. Well to make a long story short the financial department was taking way too long to locate my receipt so I went back to the store with my bank statements as proof of purchase and the manager was super cool and did me a solid by allowing me to get a new battery and avoid continuing to wait on the financial department to obtain my receipt. Thank goodness he was a solid man and made my day smoother by just easing my worries about my vehicle not starting.

Took my truck in for an oil change last time and they stripped my oil pan drain plug and had the audacity to tell me its normal wear and tear. I reminded them this time when I dropped it off for an oil change and asked that they at least install an over sized plug and i offered to pay for it, even tho its thier fault. I was nice about it and they said ok. Had my truck for over 6 hours before calling me to tell me they couldnt work on it. Thats not wear and tear, thats lazy mechanics not using torque wrenches, then screwing over customers. The right thing to do would be they replace my oil pan they damaged. I was ok with the new plug and was still blown off. Been coming here for 8 years. I will not be back.

Brand new Customer here. I will definitely be coming back!My fiance and I came in for a vehicle inspection as required by a potential employer.At first I thought wed have to try another location as they were visibly busy.I learned they were also short handed but Antonio took the time to look favorably on us and complete the inspection right then and there. It really didnt take long, but the simple fact that I could tell he cared about us as customers was impressive and refreshing.I only came for a vehicle inspection, but I think Ill be back and give them more business in the future.

I came in for a rear differential maintenance I called and got a certain amount but when I got there thay were going to charge me a different amount when I told them that i was quoted a different amount. Thay went ahead and gave me that price and not explaining what the difference was. When I got home and took a good look at my paper work thay put down that I declined labor warranty and road hazard warranty. How can one declined anything if thay do not know anything about it.

I came to Bellflower store because I was sent here from Artesia store due to their computer shows Bellflower has 2 batteries in stocks. Well no help. First they did not want to accept my battery of 48 months free replacement saying its 4 years. After I insisted that its by month then I was being help. So in looking at my battery which they dont have an AGM champion and would not sell me an equivalent. Where Artesia offered me the equivalent and pay the difference. So they turn me away and tell me to call the 1800 number. I called and was instructed to to purchase a new battery and submit through the corporate office. Which I went back and repeat the instructions then they now willing to look up my truck and equivalent battery to buy. This is horrible experience and bad customer service to put me in the unnessary hoops and turnarounds to purchase a warranty replacement battery. Whats worse is that they cant even test my battery saying its dead. I dont recommend to shop at this place since the staff werent helpful and not offering to help when they no longer has the same battery.

Horrible service called to verify my tires were delivered that I ordered. Antonio told me they weren’t and I should get a email explained I did get a email but Amazon showed 2 tires still in transport. Appointment scheduled for tomorrow didn’t want to waste time driving there. Now Antonio says they have them in the store just arrived. Stopped by after work to pick up a air filter next door walker in and asked if there stores is usually busy. Gentlemen wearing a shirt that says Carlos Vaping at the service desk says it varies. I said ok how long would it take to get my tires put on tomorrow with a appointment. Antonio vapes again then says depends on how many cars they have ok I’m asking because I’m not sure I want the tires after calling earlier in the day employee had a rude tone. He then says yeah that was me I told him I spoke to Antonio. He said he was Antonio them grabs shirt that says Carlos. Told him in that case just return them. Store is a absolute joke staff have very little respect for there customers.

If you already know what’s wrong with your car then you can go this this Pepboys. But if you don’t and you’re depending on them,don’t!! You’re going to waste your money and time. They are not good at figuring out the problem even when they check the code for your check engine light. They’re going to miss diagnose your car and they will turn your check engine light off but I promise you it’s gonna come back on and you will be back. Carlos and Rafael are cool dude but don’t let that make you believe they diagnose cars correctly. First time I went to this Pep Boy It was because my air conditioner stopped working. They told me I didn’t have any leaks and needed to put Freon in it and I said OK.Three weeks later the air-conditioning stops working and I take it back. They tell me I have a leak and it’s gonna be $1700. I ask how come they missed it the first time and they blamed it on which ever mechanic looked at my car. I got two more incidents just like that one. I finally wised up and stop being cheap and took my car to Stu’s AE transmission in Long Beach off of Cherry street. They had to go back and fix what pepboys mess up and neglected. I could have tore my car up messing with Pep Boys. You’ve been warned

Went in with an appointment for tire change and alignment that i had paid in advance, waited more than 2 hours, and finally they inform me the tires where done and they recommended me to get an alignment. I informed them I had paid for that already. I scheduled an appt accidentally for the wrong day, called them, and whomever I spoke to said oh just come in. Because apparently theyre still accwpting walkins. Pleased, I walked in and was attended to very quickly. I came in after an air pressure warning on my tires, I was tended to quickly, the gentleman who filles my tires let me know which were low to keep an eye on them for the future and when I askes what I owed he said it was a free service. Though this information is on their website I imagine many businesses are approaching their rules differently. That being said ive aleays had great experiences with pep boys and this location is no different. Excellent service, and not even a packed parking lot!!!

Carlos P. was awesome! I have been going to Pepboys for 8 years now and I felt that the quality of customer service had been going down over the years. I was starting to feel as though the staff inpepboys was dishonest and just wanted to take advantage of me and my lack of knowledge of cars. I was actually thinking of not going anymore and finding someplace new to service my car, but I went I today and noticed they had changed all previous staff. I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by Carlos P. He was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. It made the whole process that much easier! We need more people like him! It was 5:58 & they close at 6. My tire was flat & I really needed to get to my kids.. the operator said she wouldn’t service my vehicle because how close it was to closing time. I spoke to Carlos & he was super helpful with switching out the tire. His coworker even discouraged him as he was leaving saying the compression wasn’t on; nonetheless Carlos made it his duty to get my tire on in a reasonable time. I had never used Pep Boys before, and went online to buy some parts to do a service on my car. I was really excited with how intuitive the web site was, and how I was able to pre pick my order then take the form in to pick it up in person. Saves wandering around the isles. Prices were great, great promotion on too!Unfortunately my experience went a little downhill once I got to the store. I walk to the parts counter to request my order, and the guy behind the counter stocking a shelf insists Someone will be with you in a minute..... continues stocking the shelf. It was about 5 minutes until he got on the intercom and asked for a colleague to come and assist. A little later a colleague came, picked my order and had me on my way. Its only a minor thing, and I will go back, but I really felt like the in store staff (both the first guy I spoke with and the associate that helped with my order) were not at all interested in me being there. Almost like I was pulling them away from something more important.I wont let my experience with a couple uninterested customer service associates turn me away, but it was a bit of a downer considering how awesome the online experience was with getting my order together.

Rafael went the extra mile to get the part we needed to fix his car. He also stayed in touch with updates so I didnt have to hound him for the status of the repair. Worst experience ever!! Only one decent person there, the others were either lazy and looked liked they didnt want to be working there. Mechanics are rude and you can tell they dont have a very high IQ. As I walked in the the service area the person in charge was getting reamed by another unfortunate customer. Bought the battery and they gave me problems about free installation even though I had a coupon. Then they told me to reverse my transaction and have they run my card a second time at the service counter. They took forever to assist me so I left. They could care less!

Convenient location usually pretty decent priced services or parts but in my experience they tend to not carry the parts I need at the store and I have to go elsewhere or wait for them to order the part. They usually send out coupons when you are a member of their club and you can have pretty good savings on brake services, oil change, and maintenance of your vehicles.

Its a calm place inside, its quiet the employees are friendly and helpful. Part are a little expensive but they are high quality so you get what you pay for. Pep Boys should have whatever you need in stock. They test/charge your batery for free if applicable. I only come here for parts and not for services, so I have nothing to say for that area. Staff is always happy to assist with anything you need. I felt really bad for a new kid who attempted to help me because, after he wasnt able to completely help me, a manager had to step in. The new hire went on to help an older gentleman who was just so rude and disgusting to him that I pulled the kid aside and apologized to him for the unacceptable behavior of the older gentleman. Ive seen customers be rude to staff, before. Brought in my car and payed about $300 and they accidentally broke my windshield so they replace it for free obviously. Once I take the car home the windshield has a scratch in it. This compromises the safety of the glass and could break easily. So we let them know and they ask us to take it back on scheduled day and turns out that they didnt have the windshield and out car was out there parked for hours and they didnt call us to pick it up. Hey could have called us hours after later. When I asked to speak with the guys who was in charge of taking the car in, he completely avoided me. First he was in the restroom, then inside the shop, then he was in meeting, then he was on break. It was so obvious he was hiding. So I dont recommend this crap place unless you want to leave with more problems.

I have a warranty on my tires which i bought from them so they should repair my flat for free, so i went there to get my tire fixed after getting a flat and i was told its gonna be an hour and a half before they can work on my car, so i returned an hour and a half later to be told lets take a look at your tire to see if its repairable. After the guy looked at my tire he said its major damage and they cant repair it so i could by a new tire from them or buy a used one and bring it to them to put it on. Worst two weeks ever! will never go back! I went to get an electronic diasgnostic because my truck wouldnt start on occasion unless i gave it a jump, battery was brand new (from the same pep boys). they diagnose and say it is the cam shaft sensor that is going bad, ok they change it and charge me parts and labor. Eight hours later same issue and i am starnded yet again. I bring it back and i was told it was the crank shaft sensor this time! Why not just change/ check for both issues the first time? now still under warranty and under the same issue, they want to charge me for the labor and part or else they would hold my truck until it was paid! I put a stop payment on that charge and let my credit card company deal with it. A week later same issue and i was told different stories by different techs. starter needs to get changed connection wires need to get changed Forget pep boys, the manager is as incompetent as the rest of those techs. will never step foot here again and advise everyone else to do so. Took my truck to another mechanic and he properly diagnosed and fixed the problem, neither the sensors or the starter needed changing. thanks for stealing my money pep boys!

Horrible service !!! End up paying $1000 for them to fix my car but ended up walking out the store with the car not fixed . Rude employees !! Rude managers !! Never again come back to this store .

It got two stars instead of the one it deserves because the kid out side gave me a honest Opinion the girl inside was rude an doesnt need to be working there I wont return due to her attitude towards customers #Shameful
