I was really happy with my service at Pep Boys. I believe his name is Enrique M. (Cashier #509082). He was so kind, professional and soft spoken. He was a very good listener and went that extra mile. He helped me (as well as others) get my car safely on the road again. I appreciated how he made me feel as a customer. I will definitely be bringing my car back.

While I’m sure I could have gotten a slightly lower price for the work done, I came to Pepboys because it’s a staple of my youth and when you’re concerned about your car, you go to your staples. Enrique at the Oxnard location was very helpful and clear about my options to make sure my brakes were taken care of. I give 5 stars for everyone who helped, 3.5 stars for the prices of parts.

You never know what places may try to take advantage of you, especially as a woman. I took my vehicle in because the brakes had a smell and I figured the pads had gone and possibly rotors too. The wait was long (1.5 hours) but they came back saying it wasn’t quite time to change them and cleaned them off no charge. I really appreciate their honesty and not just doing it regardless of the need to make money. Thank you!!

I went to Pep Boys for the first time in Ventura. I liked the service there. I thought it would be the same here, but I was wrong. Unfortunately, they charged me $629 in labor for the oil service and a few cable replacements. This is not fair. Those who will definitely go here should think twice.

My partner Kari and our two golden retrievers overheated on our drive for a Christmas visit in Oxnard, December 23. Our Subsru overheated just a couple miles from our destination, we drove ip from San Diego. Anywho, I did get an appointment at a local Subaru deletship, service center for 7:30am December 26. After they did their assessment the estimate was for over $7,000., basically a rebuilt engine. I declined their service and was recommended to Kenny’s Pep Boys. bottom line, no major rebuold, but it did take some work, but honest work.Especially being from out of town, dure was nice to be treated like a local!

If I could give zero star I would but Mr. Ceasar overcharged me just to fixed one burn light bulb for $70, even thought I bough a head light bulb in NAPA store. and no military discount. My fellow Veterans, if you’re reading this be careful with Pepboys, they charged too much. I would suggest go to Firestone, they will give you a military discount. I will never go to Pepboys again. Poor customer service and unfair price, yet they made wait for hours. After that my family was disappointed I came home late. Thanks a lot Pepboys, never again.

Came in for broken alternator belt. Of course they suggested replacing all three belts PLUS the water pump which they said had a very loose pulley but I dont know how they could check for that because the belt that runs the main engine and the water pump is intact and they didnt remove it so how do they know if the pulley is loose or not? Their first estimate was almost $800 for pump, five hours labor and three belts and I was supplying all the belts (I bought all three a year ago when the third belt broke, but it only runs the AC and so I hadnt ever bothered to replace any of them yet). Labor for belts was over a hundred dollars EACH (other shops had quoted me around $100 to replace all THREE in the recent past). Pep Boys kept saying my water pump was bad but it was the power steering that failed without the belt and that caused confusion. I wound up going into the shop area and showing the mechanic how the missing alternator belt also caused the power steering pump to not turn. He caught on quickly and I was able to convince them to just replace the one (alternator / power steering) belt that had just broken yesterday. I asked if they could give me a break on sliding my new AC belt on as well since that belt was already gone and so putting on the new belt should have been a five minute job but they still wanted the original $131 labor cost so I just had the one belt replaced. It took no more than fifteen to twenty minutes. They did offer me a 10% discount when I told them I was homeless and unemployed but it was still over $100. I think a 3/5 rating is very fair.

My experience here was cruel. I was told that my tires were all worn out. That I urgently needed new tires. I fortunately did not have enough money to buy 3 more tires. So I drove home from buying 1 tire to replace the one that had a nail. I went to another tire shop. They told me the tires were good. They had 3,000 miles left. Dont go to this Pepboys! They will try to take advantage of you. They will lie to you!

Honestly I don’t know why I have ever even tried with this company a long time ago I had my battery charged for free and in Vegas they told me I needed a new one. I just left the light on in the glove compartment so I went next door to autozone they charged up my battery it was a good battery no issue so pepboys lied. I also tried to get a Lyft inspection today they told me yesterday to schedule an appointment tomorrow cause I came by at 6pm which was late I get it today I called at 10am now they tell me no same day appointments they have such poor customer service. I hope they get bought out from a better company cause they don’t know how to do business.

I came in for an oil change and tire rotation, but Pep Boys offered a free maintenance checkup. The service manager gave me a quote on recommended maintenance / service and appreciate the advice. I did not feel pressured to get the repairs done right away. I noticed that the store is repair only now and not sure if the retail side will return. I like the service from this store and the convenient location.

The day I was supposed to leave for a work trip, they took me in on a very busy Saturday and ran a diagnostic/fixed the issue in just a few hours. Kenny was incredibly nice, helpful, and really saved me! He wouldn’t accept a tip so please give that man a raise! I will now be bringing my vehicle back here. Thank you Kenny!

Car was taken in at the time of the appointment and done 45 min later. Was an oil change, rotation service. Only complaint is no window sticker when the next change is supposed to happen. The inspection report didnt have the cars mileage on it, not a real issue but it is nice to have mileage for my records when I sell the car.

I have a 99 dodge 2500 sitting on 35’s. I called to get a quote for a front end alignment. Mr. Kenny immediately told me a price. I explained that I was getting death wobble really bad. He then proceeded to explain to me that I was my steering dampener that was bad. I have a brand new one ready to be installed today.Kenny just saved me hundreds of dollars of trial and error. I am so grateful for his insight as this is my only transportation.Highly recommend these guys.

Replacing a 4-month old tire that blew ended up costing $500!??I had a tire blow, took it to Pep Boys the next day after swapping with the spare. The shop was very busy and I didn’t have an appointment but I didn’t mind waiting as I didn’t have any other options and was taking the day off of work to get the tire fixed.2+ hours later they got the car in and told me the tire was damaged and wasn’t covered under warranty the 60,000 mile warranty even though only 12k miles had been driven since getting the tires new from this shop.An hour later they tell me a couple of the lug nut studs were cross threaded and would require dismantling the brakes and replacing the studs….which would be another $400 on top of the tire.The studs they said were defective were the same studs that were challenging to remove when changing the tire…that they initially installed. I had no problem putting in the lug nuts myself however and did not overtorque them.I believe the shop damaged the studs themselves and jacked up the repair cost.I’ve called Corporate to file a complaint but have not received a call back.

They are liars!!!!! Took my car in for the second time with the same issue and they told me they ran all the necessary tests (found out they didn’t) to figure out the problem. They told my my fuel injector was bad and they had to replace it. After paying almost $500 for them to REPLACE the “bad” part I took my car home. It was doing the same thing after they “fixed it”. Then after a few days I took my car back and they told me I would have to pay $2,950 to change a valve. After hearing this I took my car to get a second opinion and what do you know!!!? After taking it apart again we find out they NEVER changed the part!!!!! They also broke all the O-rings to the part so there was an air leak issue!!!! Pictures to prove below. They are lazy liars who just take your money! I’m calling Better Business Bureau today and going in to get my money back!!! Never go here if you value your car, your money or your life!!!!

Went in for an oil change about 8 months ago. Asked the guy writing up the order if they could check the window washer tube to see if it was plugged and to please fix it. When I asked if it was ready another man helped me. I asked about the window washer he got irritated and said there was no notation on the order to check that. I saw the other man write it down so needless to say I was not impressed with this service. The man at the desk was very nice but dont know what happened with the other guy. Very rude.

I had the best experience here! I couldnt be happier. I always have problems at auto places even over the simplest problems and it was such a relief to come to this location.After going to be dealership and getting the run around and snotty attitude I called this pep boys. John answered the phone with his name and talked with me about what was wrong and what he thought it might be. He gave me an estimate of the price of the service over the phone and it was reasonable.I called a couple other shops, some of which wouldnt even answer the phone and then settled on this location even though it is a 30 min drive for me. I got to the shop and didnt wait more than an hour. And my bill was less than I had expected!John was very professional and had great customer service. I wouldnt be surprised if I didnt drive 30 mins again for my next car fiasco. I highly recommend this location!

The only one in Oxnard. I have had a few things done on my car in the shop here. Mechanics are knowledgeable and a pretty quick with their work. You can browse around in the store while they work on your vehicle. If you needs any parts the workers in the store know what they are talking about. They have always helped me out.

Best prices on oil and tires. They replaced the water pump on my V6 Fiero when no one else in town would touch it (those cars are a nightmare to work on) and charged me less than flat rate to boot. The technician said Heck its just a 2.8 Chevy engine so it was a piece of cake. I always check any repairs and have never seen any substandard work.

This Locations Service department is horrible. I made an appt. For a Lyft inspection and confirmed over the phone. The Next day I come in at my appt. time. The Guy handling the desk said he didnt have my appt. In the system, I showed him my Confirmation. Then he said we can take you in at 4:30. I then booked an appt. On the Lyft app for 4pm. I called back just to make sure and confirm. The Male over the phone said they dont do same day appts. And I said The guy at the counter just said you can take me in at 4:30. He said,Thats Lyft s fault not ours. To anyone looking for service. Check out the PEPBoys in Ventura off Thompson.. they did my inspection in under 3 minutes. And to top it off they didnt make me pay.

Worst customer service - I went there to get the check engine light checked on. The guy made me sit for half hour. This thing just takes a minute to hook the machine and get the code. I went to this store to do a regular check of lyft recommendations, and they checked the car and deliberately failed to give me a good reason (in fact, the tyres had half a year of life), so I didnt pass the test. They say I have to replace four tires to pass the inspection. I didnt want to change all the tires, and they drove my car into another car door and hit my rear bar. A manager named enrique said he would only pay me $250, but the price I gave to the garage was $1,100. Theyre also not willing to pay for it, and theyre playing around here. I live in Alhambra, which is a long way off, which delays me a lot of time. Its shameful for the americans to have such a brazen dealer.

Horrible customer service. I placed an order on Monday 12/12. Was told my order had a 2 day lead time and would be in Thursday 12/15 and would receive a call when it came in. It is now 12/20 and Ive been transferred all over the place for someone to help me, had to call back when no one answered the last transfer, and was told it wasnt in yet. No one seems to know whats going on and isnt able to help me. I will never go to the Oxnard branch again. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

1. This Pep boys is beyond greedy and shady. I took my car there last year (when I had my car) and I literally spent 800+ plus on it within two months and my car was still not working right. I invested in fixing my car that I was very late on my car payments and insurance and it still was not working I had to unfortunately repo my car because all my money was gone, to work on my car and still was trash. 2. Then my boyfriend went in to get a reservoir tank within a week it was cracked and we got a new one from Auto Zone for cheaper and it had a warranty. 3. My sisters car wasnt working and she thought it was the battery so she the took the battery to pep boys to diagnose it and it came out failed which means a defective battery. So i took her battery to Sams Club where she originally purchased it at and the mechanic guy named Carlos said of course it is not going to work her watts for her battery is 660 and pep boys tested it out with a 850. Im like so she can purchase it there and they make more money hes like yes thats what they do idk why they cant be honest! I was going to call and tell this stupid company off but Im just going to spread the word on here and social media so ppl know how pathetic and greedy this company is. 4. To add on top of it they are all so freaken rude. I wouldnt even give it 1 start I would give it 0.

The person who answered my phone call answered as if it was his cell phone and asked me for my name? Very little knowledge of the part I was inquiring about. Couldnt tell me the difference between two that were the same brand but different price. I am really grateful of the honesty for the mechanic Noe Viera. My brakes were squeaking and he couldve very easily sold me a new brake job. But instead he was honest, and told me I had a rock stuck in my brakes. I greatly appreciate Noe Viera and obviously he must have a great manager that promotes the utmost integrity !!!

DO NOT GO HERE !!! If i could rate this store lower, I would. I drove in from Ventura (other side of the tracks) to have a trouble light diagnosed. I went to the shop counter and was engaged in a very offensive way by the counter man. He treated me like I was an interruption and was working on his computer the entire time. I asked him if he could have the codes read on my Jetta. He said no, because Charlie is not here. And I asked him if Charlie is the only one that can read codes and he said yes. Lie #1. There were at least 6 other mechanics in the back and I am sure they can read codes (more on that in a min). So he just said no. Did not say sorry, did not say here is another shop for you, just ignored me, like I was from the wrong side of the tracks, if you get my drift. So i hopped in my car, drove back to Ventura to the PEP Boys there. Soon as I arrived i was greeted in a friendly and positive way by two employees. I asked if they could read the codes, they said yes. I asked if most any PEP Boy mechanic can read codes. They said yes. I asked if they could fix it. They said yes. So I bought that fix, oil change, tire rotation and a tune up from them.So, shame on you PEP Boys Oxnard. If you want to have a mean attitude, fine. You will just not get any of my business or anyone I know or any one who reads this.The Dude running the counter should be fired!
