Ive been to at least 10 dentists prior to Dr. Lim, his practice is simply the best. The function like a well oiled machine. The team is super professional, and dont try to oversell any services. As you sit on the chair you will notice everything is sealed in hygienic conditions. Could not recommend Peninsula more.

I went for a cleaning with my 3 year old daughter. Joyce the hygienist was super sweet and attentive to her not to mention patient. My daughter happily watched TV until it was her turn and when prompted to hop onto the chair for her cleaning. She happily obeyed.

By far, consistently the best dental experiences Ive had. Ive been coming here for roughly three years and have only positive things to say. The reception staff quickly sets up appointments and answers complex insurance coverage questions via text. The hygienist is excellent. Dr. Yoshihara is passionate about dentistry and happy to answer all questions, and in a recent procedure, he was quick to update me as to what was happening each step of the way.This office provides a stellar dental experience. I actually look forward to my return because they treat me so well and will likely do the same for you.

I had mild pain, They took X-rays and Dr. Yoshihara did a thorough exam. No treatment was needed by he did recommend an endodontist just in case a root canal erupts at some time. Very happy with all his explanations.

Dr. Jeff and staff are fabulous and use the latest technologies to keep your teeth in tip-top shape. My former dentist who retired recommended this practice, and I couldnt be happier. I have my 85 yo mom coming here as well, and she still has all of her real teeth!

I needed some tooth repair and was able to obtain an appointment only one day later, when Dr. Yoshihara completed the repair in short order. As I had anticipated having to wait much longer for all to happen, I was extremely pleased to have my problem solved only one day after I first called the office for an appointment. High quality work, very quickly by Dr. Yoshihara!

Another excellent visit to Peninsula Dental Excellence. Unfortunately this visit came due to a root canal tooth that had an unexpected fractured crown. But I had great advice from Dr. Au within an hour of contacting him outside of usual hours and was immediately scheduled for next available appointment to be taken care of. I was treated with friendly professionalism during my visit as usual by staff and Dr. Au. I had my crown repaired and was on my way in a little over an hour. If youre looking for a great dental office with friendly, professional staff, efficiency and great tech, its hard to imagine doing any better than this.

I have been going to the dentist here my whole life. They are amazing!!Joyce is especially excellent. She is super friendly and very knowledgeable and skilled. For example, she noticed that my gums were more swollen than normal and connected that it might be due to my blood pressure medication. I spoke to my doctor, changed my prescription, and my gum swelling decreased. Thank you very much!!!I recommend to everyone!!!

If you are looking for an excellent dentist with an up-to-date office, great skills, friendly manner in a friendly, well run office, please schedule a visit with Dr. Lim. I actually look forward to going to the dentist, although my family is not blessed with great teeth!I had email reminders before my visit, my appointment started within just a few minute of my arrival and was completed on time.Today I had my teeth cleaned. Both the hygienist and Dr. Lee asked followup questions based on my last visit and my comments on a recent experience with my bite and chewing. Love that that are always prepared!I had a great hygienist (experienced, but new to me; sorry I forgot her name) and an informative checkup with Dr. Lee, who walked me to the front, as usual!The office staff were great,too. I was able to confirm that insurance would cover my current and next visits, schedule appointments, get printed reminders and be on my way within 10 minutes of finishing my cleaning and checkup!Ill also be using the new toothbrush, floss, toothpaste and mouthwash kit that is given after every cleaning.

Prompt, friendly, professional service. Came for regular cleaning - needed 2 fillings, doctor could take care of it right away so I didnt have to make another appointment to come back. Doctor was great, told me everything that was going on during the fillings - I didnt feel anything. On arrival, receptionist came out to meet me and make sure I got to the right place as it was my first time there and I got a little lost - so friendly, appreciated that.

Considerate, meticulous and friendly - these guys are the best dental office I have ever visited. They were excellent with an emergency tooth issue which they immediately directed to an expert office. They were fantastic with following up, scheduling later appointments and also being completely transparent about my insurance having run out for the year. I love them and will continue to come to them even after I move out of Mountain View.

Dr. Yoshihara is by far the best dentist I have gone to since childhood. He is kind, humourism and professional. It is clear the teamwork in the office is top notch. It is refreshing to find a dentist in such a populated area I can trust and depend on consistently. For example, during my second visit to Dr. Jeff he discovered work that needed to be done and stayed late that night with one of the hygienists to prevent me from having to make a return visit the future. Theyre also always super responsive to any email/voicemail I have left them (24 hour turn around). Thats good customer service! I will always recommend Dr. Jeff and Peninsula Dental to others in my network. Dont waste your time, money or energy trying to find care elsewhere.

I had recently moved to Bay Area and I was in need of a dentist, and I found Peninsula Dental Excellence on Yelp, and I decided to try it out. The staff is very warm, friendly and professional. I have always been scared to visit a dentist, but Dr. Lee is very considerate and careful, always made sure I was comfortable. I got two of my cavities filled, Dr Lee is so skillful that I felt nothing and everything was done pretty fast. I would recommend Peninsula to anyone who is looking for a dentist. Dr Lim and his practice were really great at working with me and my family. I came along with my 2 year old, and the staff helped look after her while I had my x-rays. They were very accommodating when she wanted to look at everything they were during during the cleaning, and she even loved having her own mini check-up after.The dental work itself is great. I have since had 2 fillings and a partial crown, all done in 2 hours. I loved seeing the difference with the pictures they took too. Overall a great experience, Ill be back! Maybe even try my luck with the 6 month old next ;)

They provide email and text reminders, which has been so helpful to me! You can watch Netflix while you get a cleaning if youd like as well. I highly recommend Peninsula Dental Excellence!

I love Dr. Lim. Hes great, gentle and professional....but Im going to be a minority here.I gave this office 2 stars because its extremely important to have confidence in your dental provider and Ive lost the confidence I had for PDE.My husband and I have been going to this dental office for 3 years now. And after this years 3 visits Ive been charged double the amount that Ive been quoted.I know. The payment responsibility falls on the insurance holder. But how about some lee way here? As far as Im aware, they dont give you an option for monthly payments so in my case - I dont have the money and will have to find a way to come up with 850$ on the spot because the estimate I was provided with was off by an astonishing 100%.To add on top of this, 2 years after I had my first crown done in 2016 I recently discovered that theres cavity in the middle of the tooth under it. Decay under a crown is not uncommon but it usually starts from the sides, as I was told by a different dentist. With decay in the middle its possible that the tooth wasnt cleaned from the old decay before the crown was placed. I dont know if its true, but if Im about to pay 1K for a crown, Id like to have a bit more than 2 years with it.To be fair, the office is new, bright and it looks like they are up with the latest technologies. Id probably be less upset and skip the review if Id be better prepared to pay the price - but regardless would not go back. There are many good dentist offices around that will be more accommodating.

I am new to this office....and I was very pleased at the care and quality of work that Dr.Jeff did for me. I am old enough to remember dentistry in the 50s and 60s...just the sound of the drill was horrifying. This was painless and so fast and efficient that I would definitely recommend him and the office to others.

Amazing. Dr. Yoshihara and all of the staff are absolutely incredible, kind, and respectful. I went to Peninsula Dental Excellence to get a second opinion on a temporary crown, after my first experience at another dentist was painful and unprofessional. Dr. Yoshihara provided reassurance that the temporary had been done correctly while also diagnosing the cause of my pain. He took a look at the xrays of my tooth and explained what he was looking for in a way that I could understand while showing me on the screen how the crown looked and what the other dentist had done. He answered all of my questions, treated me with respect, and made me feel that I was being taken care of. I wish I had gone to Peninsula Dental Excellence first. They also can do a permanent crown placement in one visit! I live 90 minutes away, but going to Peninsula Dental Excellence is absolutely worth the trip. I will only go to them from now on.

THey very quickly gave me a really good checkup and cleaning and also pointed out a very hard cavity to see, and took great care of it. I originally went in because an old filling was getting very sensitive, and after a good cleaning, when peppermint oil got in the tooth, it was starting to hurt. That was my fault for not being careful with that tooth, it turned out to have a crack forming. On Thursday at 900am I started getting a crown and by 1130 it was done. Their crown manufacturing was excellent, and the only thing that appears to be a very small time to recover was making sure that I could floss the new crown, which meant doing some filing down on it when it was in place. So far it is only about a day and a half, and I am getting confident to use the tooth normal again. Excellent work.

Excellent service, they know you by name right when you walk in and the wait is always minimal. The teeth cleaning is professional and they always have the best technology on hand. They found a cavity one time during a teeth cleaning and immediately booked me for an appointment the day afterward at a time that was convenient for me. I expected to be incapacitated or numb for the rest of the day after my cavity was filled, but I was eating Indian buffet without any hassle by the next hour.

Dr. Yoshihara has all of the skills you would expect from an excellent and highly experienced dentist. He recently replaced an older crown (>10 years, different dentist) on one of my upper molars with a new one. He did a terrific job: No pain during the procedure or afterwards, even though it involved quite a bit of repairs to the remaining tooth, and one next to it. There was no need to adjust the bite afterwards - the fit of the new crown is just amazing. Just FYI - I hardly ever write reviews . . .

I have to say I absolutely love Dr. Lim & his staff. I have had Dr. Lim as my dentist for probably about 2 years now & I have had nothing but painless, positive experiences with him. He uses the latest technology which makes the experience a lot less stressful & painless. I have had to get many fillings and they sometimes dont have to use the shot of anesthetic because, they have a laser that removes the tooth to get the cavity out. They are great about setting up appointments, they are very flexible to your needs & send friendly reminders. All of their staff are very kind, wonderful people that give off warm & friendly vibes. I am currently receiving orthodontal care & using the Invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth. Its affordable & again virtually painless. I feel blessed to have found such a great dentist seeing as their are so many around the area. I highly recommend him, himself & his staff are very professional, fast, and know what they are doing. They leave you with a peace of mind, money in your pocket, & a positive attitude. I also have a young brother that gets his dentistry work done here as well & they always make him feel comfortable & he isnt scared to go (which for those of you who have kids understand taking a child to the Dentist can be an uneventful experience) so that is a big stress reliever

I am extremely impressed and satisfied with Dr. Lim and his team. I recently had 4 porcelain veneers constructed and placed and the result is fantastic. They look so natural but still so beautiful! Dr. Lim is very thoughtful and precise. My initial dentist in NYC wanted me to do veneers for both my lower and upper teeth but Dr. Lim felt we could afford to be more conservative and just do my upper teeth and just boost up my lower teeth with composite filling. This saved me lots of money and the health and appearance of my teeth are still great. He is precise and thoughtful, caring and genuinely nice. His staff and assistants are great as well - considerate, helpful, prompt, and professional. I am a physician myself and understand the demands of the healthcare industry and running a private practice. I am really impressed with his practice and highly recommend his services.

Ive been going to Peninsula Dental Excellence for years but only recently did I get the chance to meet Dr. Haleh Fazeli. She is amazing!She takes time to walk you through procedures and offers options regarding how much numbing you want (i.e. feel no pain, but numb for a few hours vs. feel a little pinch but numbness wears off in like an hour). I went with feel no pain :)She also goes above and beyond to make sure your dental work is comfortable. Ive had bad experiences where I leave the office after a filling and my bite feels off for years. Dr. Fazeli goes through several rounds of corrections to ensure you are totally comfortable after you leave.Shes my dentist, hands down. Highly recommend.

Peninsula Dental Excellence truly is excellent in a great many ways.There are the details like text message reminders for appointments, the friendly reception staff, the clean and professional office. All are excellent.Then there are the important things like keeping on top of all the latest technological advancements in the field, like an onsite crown milling machine and painless laser drill.Then theres the critical things like quality of the dentistry. Dr. Raymond Lim is absolutely fantastic. Its obvious he takes pride in doing the best possible and not simply completing the job. Ive had some poor dental experiences in the past at other offices, but my experiences with Dr Lim and my one appointment with Dr Lee have totally changed my outlook on going to the dentist. I used to be horrified of dentists. I hadnt been to one in 7 years. When my wisdom tooth started causing too much pain, I found Dr. Lims office and they helped me right away. Within 20 minutes of calling, I was at the office and was seen right away. They did their best to be as gentle as possible while still being ridiculously thorough. Nerds will appreciate their obsession with using the latest technology to make your experience better. I can honestly say I almost look forward to going to the dentist now.

I needed a new crown. I got one in a single visit.Dr. Lee told me ahead of time what to expect: a 2-1/2 hour visit, with a half hour interlude between preparing the site for the crown, and installing it.This enabled me to use that break time online. (Theres an in-office WiFi network for patients. I did email on my phone.) At that time, Dr. Lee designed and manufactured the crown, in he office.He installed and did final adjustments in the same visit. I dont have to go back for this procedure. (I understand this used to be a two-visit process.)I highly recommend this practice.

Our familys dental care has been under Dr Ray Lim, DDS, since he moved to his Mtn View office (7yrs ago??). His office staff are professional and very personable. I never wonder what is the cost?, when do I need to be seen again? because they give written information. I love the email reminder system!! As a Dental Coward, I have never liked teeth-cleaning but the Dental Hygienists are first rate: gentle, efficient, and caring. Dr Lim has always been very thorough and his work has been excellent. He makes the time to fully explain what he is doing, uses the most up to date equipment and techniques to get the job done comfortably. When our 90 yr old aunt was visiting from New Jersey and needed emergency dental care, Dr Lim agreed to take care of her and saw her the same day. I have received great dental care and recommend Ray Lim to others. Thanks!

Even though they were very busy, they didn’t keep me waiting too long and I had three fillings replaced within an hour of sitting down. I have been to Dr. Lims office for 1 bi-annual cleaning and 2 fillings sections so far. The office is definitely up-to-date with advanced equipment, the staff is friendly and always carry a smile, and most importantly, Dr. Lim is a very caring and gentle dentist. I got a composite filling replaced by Dr. Lim with no anesthesia (!). The office had the latest technology and was able to remove the composite filling and decayed area with a laser. I felt no pain even without being numbed or anesthetized at all. I was amazed, and able to go to straight to work without having half my mouth numb. Dr. Lim also took before, during, and after photos of the procedure so I was able to see exactly what he repaired.

I really like this dentists office. I first went to them for a second opinion when another dentist told me I needed 4 (!!!) fillings, after having been to another dentist regularly before that and having excellent dental hygiene. PDE told me I did not need those fillings, at least not right away. I feel like they are not trying to sell me on extra treatments just to make a buck and I really appreciate that.

I should disclose that Dr. Lim and I are personal friends. Some may not know, he also has an engineering degree which enables him to apply structural soundness and other perspectives to health of his patients teeth.
