Eric has helped my family a ton with debt management along with information on financial planning for the future. He is very responsive when we have questions and very thorough with checking in on a monthly basis. It’s part of the journey as a small business owner that you come across obstacles that challenge your business. These challenges were tough enough that I as the owner couldn’t figure out on my own.I had hired a few different consultants, business was strategic analyst that couldn’t get the business to where it needed to be either when it came to these obstacles.I came across Eric and within the first month I’m already seeing the difference. He’s very knowledgeable, well rounded and financially literate. I can honestly say, if it wasn’t for him, I don’t think my business would have made to next year! Eric of PEAK FINANCIAL PLANNING is easy to follow, and easy to understand, especially when we were going over my complicated financial situation He a good listener and really tries to inderstand a clients situation before reccomendimg a financial plan. He is based in California and I am located in Boston,… yet I tirned over my finances to him despite the long distance because what he said made sense to me.Watch a few of his utube video session on “fee only financial” advisors before making a final decision,.. then give him a call.

My wife & I recently sold a house, bought a new one, and had a newborn all within the span of a few months. Needless to say we were extremely busy. My husband and I were planning our wedding, joining our finances and figuring out how to prepare for our future overall, financially. Not to mention, Im full-time freelancing and he was starting a new job. Suffice to say, we needed some advice. After our first 30-minute call with Eric, we could see that he was the perfect fit for us to help us figure out our financial plan as we prepared for marriage. I contacted Eric Amzalag in the process of looking for a fee-only fiduciary financial advisor to help with decisions my wife and I were facing some ten years into retirement. Given the likelihood of increasing health challenges in coming years, should we continue living in our single-family home, investing to make it elder-safe and bringing in hired help to assist with household maintenance and personal care? Or should we move into a senior independent living community, where the burden of maintenance would be greatly reduced and help with personal care could be brought in when needed?Eric immediately understood that this was a decision that should be based primarily on expected outcomes--what our lives would be like in different scenarios and how we would feel about those outcomes. He helped us think about those outcomes. But there were also financial aspects. Were our assets sufficient to support either option over a reasonable span of time (life expectancy)? Would we also have resources to pay for travel, or would we need to cut back?Using our input, Eric developed scenarios that corresponded to different choices we might make and modeled the likely costs over time, using data on typical costs in our area. The results on affordability were reassuring. But more importantly, he provided a framework for making decisions that put reasonable bounds on various reality-based sources of uncertainty while removing the uncertainty that can drive self-doubt (e.g., Am I thinking about this in the right way? Am I missing something critical?) We established a way to think about our financial plan that provides confidence in the process, while anticipating the need for periodic reassessment and revision.Eric does not act as a financial guru dispensing pre-packaged advice. To work with him is to engage in a dialog with an educator. He listens carefully and asks question to make sure he understands your perspective and values. He takes pains to make sure that when hes explained something complicated, he hasnt lost you. His opinions are always accompanied by the facts and reasoning behind them. His open communication style and lack of a personal agenda foster the kind of trust youd like to have in a long-term financial advisor.

Decided it was time to get serious about retirement planning and after interviewing different fiduciary financial advisors, I listened to my gut and chose Eric. Because of my stressful work, I wanted to know if I had enough to retire. Eric took my current assets and expenses and how I anticipate my income might change in future years and he created various budgets, that sustained me to a 100 years old. As a busy full time working single mom my time is limited. I have been working with Eric Amzalag to plan for my upcoming retirement. I have tried other financial advisors but we were just not compatible. I didn’t want someone who was pressuring me towards their goal. I also didn’t want to work with someone that didn’t understand my desire to donate to charity and help my family if I needed to. Eric is very patient and understands my goals and has been helping me achieve my goals. He answers all my questions and will explain a topic until I understand.
