I just had service by Payless. This company is very respectable. Daniel came to my home and my first impression was he seemed friendly. The energy Daniel puts out is positive. Daniel made me feel comfortable and that I could trust him. I knew that Daniel would do a great job. Daniel was thorough and up front. I would definitely use them in the future and refer them to everybody. A good and honest company is hard to find. Thank you Daniel!!

Absolutely recommend!!! It’s a Saturday at 12:30pm, Mothers Day weekend and I need a new water heater for my condo like today. Had no hot water and I couldn’t stop a leak. I was able to get an appt by 3:35pm and by 6pm Carlos installed a brand new water heater. Carlos Ramirez was knowledged, friendly and did an amazing job. He was super clean and awesome!!! Thank you Carlos :). Also the pricing was competitive with other plumbers.

Highly highly recommend. Incredible service and great people. I’m a tough grader but appreciate personal and immediate response when you need it. Price was fair compared to other places I called. I also got a $1,200. Rebate for switching to Tankless. My old Water Heater went out on a Friday night Payless was at my house the next morning at 10am . The technician Derrick was very professional and polite he did a fantastic job with the whole thing he showed me alot about the new unit we purchased. I highly recommend Payless 👍👍

Noticed the overflow outlet pipe from my Payless water heater was dripping last night. Called Payless Water Heaters at ~9PM. They send Daniel the next day at ~10AM. Daniel was able to diagnose the problem right away. The root issue was the water pressure regulator valve not working properly. The water pressure gauge was reading over ~100 PSI! He recommended replacing the water pressure regulator valve and welding the water heater overflow outlet pipe. He also recommended replacing the main water shut-off valve. Even after shutting off the main water shut-off valve, water was still going through. Daniel presented several options to address the issues from gold level (most expensive) to band-aid level package (cheapest). I chose the bronze level fix for ~$1K for everything that needed to be fixed.

Premium charge for one star service.Everyone can install the product, you pay premium to get the proper service with it. Did not clean after they left, Did not do the job 100%.They had to come back to properly finish the job, we had to clean after again after they left.

High praise for Payless Water Heaters. All personnel I dealt with were professional, helpful and accommodating. I got quotes from 5 different companies. Payless, for the exact same product, was the least expensive. They described all the work that would be performed, what actions were needed to be up to code and offered various options for my consideration. Never felt any pressure. Ezequiel R., was the individual who came to my home and provided my quotes and also was the one who installed my water heater. Outstanding service. Ezequiel was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and explained all the steps and actions being taken. He answered my many questions in a way that was easy to understand. Payless Water Heaters responded promptly to my call for help after we discovered that my water heater stopped working. They sent Juan C., the technician. He was there very early the next morning, walked me through the steps he does to analyze the problem, found several issues that needed immediate attention for safety reasons that he had to address, and provided me unbiased list of options with pricing clearly articulated. I loved that Juan took the time to answer all of my questions, and after going through each one, I picked the best choice for me. No pressure at all, just good information. He completed the job to replace the unit, made sure everything was to standard and safe before he left. I HIGHLY recommend Payless and kudos to Juan. He represents the company well. My ao Smith water heater (tank) of 13 years stopped heating. Discovered no hot water Monday night and called before 8am Tues morning for two estimates. Payless was the second call and I was disappointed they couldn’t make it out until Wednesday morning when their web-site is advertising same day response. Payless told me they would beat any written estimate I received. First company came out Tuesday morning and left a written estimate, replacing with a Bradford White model.(the estimate cost me $65). I figured it would be worth it to go one more day without hot water if I could save a couple hundred dollars. (Payless also advertises $200 off if installed same day) So Payless showed up as scheduled and provided me a price with the exact same Bradford White model. Without sharing my previous estimate it came in almost exact same price, however, they did honor the $200 off. So bottom line I saved $135 with Payless after considering the fact I spent $65 on my first estimate. The technician (Ezequiel) was friendly and did a very clean and professional install. He explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend Payless.

My water heater of 100 Gallon were not functioning right. I had payless water heater from Orange county come by and technician spent 1/2 at the site. Tried to detect the problem with his instrument that were not working well. Called American Standard and tried to get advise from them how to detect the problem. He said 2 parts are not working and we need to order the parts and install to see if there are any other issues. He gave me an initial estimate of $ 1,350.00 to install the new parts. He charged me $ 149.99 and left. I felt what he is saying is not genuine. I called WATER HEATER WAREHOUSE for 2nd opinion. Their technician came and new what was the problem from beginning. The problem had nothing to do with parts the previous (Payless) company told me. They opened inside the water heater and cleaned the muffler area. The problem were resoled and they charged me $ 89.00 only. Water heater works well now. Payless company exaggerated the issue for repair and wanted to change the parts that were not necessary just to make money for their own interest. I called the Payless company and complained why they were telling me some thing that was not right and they should not charge me the $ 150.00 for a wrong recommendation. they refused to accept responsibilities for giving wrong recommendation. I definitely avoid Payless doing any more work for me.

My only recommendation is to improve phone communication -half my calls to the office were not answered or dropped after being transferred to the extension. We had water leaking from our thankless water heater. Right away, Payless Water Heater sent someone, Thomas. He was awesome!!! He explained and answered all our questions, which took some time. He stayed until it was completely dark and freezing cold to get the job done. Excellent work. If I recommend anyone for the job, Id definitely recommend him. These folks did a great job repairing our old water heater instead of insisting that we were overdue for a new one (which we are!). And the charge was very reasonable. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, though, because they advertised same day service, when, in fact, it took several days, and they were a little later arriving. Same day would have been very nice, especially as the technician had the part on his truck! The late arrival not so much a problem as we had staff working all day.

I texted Payless Water Heaters around 7:30am Friday morning and my new water heater was in and working shortly after noon the same day. I came back from out of town to find I had no hot water Thursday evening. It was very stressful so I got up early the next morning to do some research. Tech Ezekiel Rodriguez is professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. However the company let us down. Waited for a part to be delivered, stayed in close contact with dispatch. The day the part arrived, dispatch changed our appointment for the next day, 2-4 pm, leaving our tenants (with a baby) stranded for another day without hot water. According to dispatch, they couldn’t do anything about it, in spite of the fact that we had scheduled the appointment days in advance. Highly dissatisfied with their customer service.

We just today had our old, broken water heater replaced by Payless. The entire experience, from our initial conversation with Candice, to the actual repair performed by Juan, was timely and very professional. Most of my communication was with Juan. He explained my options very clearly and began work. He was very no nonsense and efficient and was finished in what I thought was record time. In addition to replacing the tank, he upgraded my gas and water lines and brought everything up to code. When he left, the water heater area was cleaner than when he arrived. Joey gave us a very fair price and offered to come the next day to do the install so that we didnt have to be without hot water for too long. As Joey worked, he let us know how far along he was in the process of installation. We could tell Joey has installed many units. Daniel was amazing, he assessed my water heater and advised that it would possibly need to be replaced due to all the sediment build up over the last 8 years. I haven’t had my heater serviced since it was put in 8 years ago. He didn’t believe the flush would work at this point. However, to put my mind at ease he flushed my water heater for me. Had a pretty terrible experience with this company. I called on the phone and asked for an estimated in repairing a tankless water heater the nice lady said about 200 to 300 and it will be 60 for a technician to come take a look so not a free estimate like advertised. When guy arrived he came and looked at my water heater and said it was old so it will be 500 to 800 to repair and 3000 to 5000 to replace. He did not open up the water heater to diagnosis anything just said the manufacturer is not opening on the weekend and he would have to wait to call them during the week day kept asking me if I knew where the power supply was however i didnt know where it was, he was the professional he should know where to start looking. He was at my house only 10 minutes. So I pretty much paid $60 for someone to come tell me my machine is old. His prices were to high so I decided to use my home warranty instead they charged $78 but it was working in 15 minutes after he looked at the power breakers and flipped a few switches. I think repair man like to take advantage of females so make sure there is guy there with u for any repairs when my husband is there repairmen always sing a different tune.Update 8/19/23 water heater is going strong I didn’t need to buy a new water heater or pay someone to fix it for $800

I DO NOT recommend Payless Water Heaters to anyone. BEWARE! I am now questioning the reviews listed for this company after my experience. I called Payless Water Heaters because my tankless water heater had shut down and stopped producing hot water.The technician arrived and quickly noticed that my water heater had shut down and had listed a series of error codes. He called the manufacturer and was told that the error codes meant the water heater needed maintenance. My all-knowing technician then stated that in addition to what the manufacturer stated, that the system should also have a vent for condensation [I was later told by another technician that this installation was not necessary]. The technician also recommended that I replace my pressure valve, which had nothing to do with my water heater issue. I had a moment of deep thought, “Am I being sold something I do not need?” Nevertheless I decided to put my trust in the technician and “prevent future issues,” as he suggested.After spending nearly $1,300 for the water heater maintenance and condensation vent installation, and another $2,300 replacing the pressure valve, my hot water still had not returned. Instead I received lukewarm water that takes nearly 20 minutes to flow in certain parts of my home. I also developed an issue of my toilets’ water levels not returning full after a flush, and a possible pipe issue, evident by a new wet spot in a usually dry path outside. I looked up the price of the pressure valve that was placed on my home, and I could’ve ordered it from Amazon for under $400. Considering labor costs per hour, for a job that took 15 minutes, why was I charged $2,300 when others are now quoting the price of labor far less than a $2,300 total. Again, the job took 15 minutes? How come I have more issues now than before, and still no hot water?After calling Payless Water Heaters out on their dirty business, and demanding a refund for the second job that was recommended, and to replace the installed part with my original part—only seeking to be restored, I was instead offered a 20% discount on the job. This is a direct admission of guilt on their part, still leaving me the same problems I had prior—no hot water, plus more issues.I feel taken advantage of by Payless Water Heaters for two expensive jobs with no results. I feel insulted by being offered a 20% remedy. I do not trust this company, nor it’s technicians, and will never allow them inside my home.I DO NOT recommend Payless Water Heaters to anyone. Our water heater pilot had gone out and would not stay lit. We looked up certified Bradford White water heater technicians to diagnose and fix the problem. The first person that came out didnt want to help because His company didnt install it. The second person that came out was from a nationally known company with commercials and radio spots on endless cycle. He arrived in his impressive RED truck, looked over the heater for 5 minutes and told us there was nothing that could be done. I pointed to something I thought might be pertinent and he said it had no bearing on the problem. At this point we had been without hot water for a week and a half. We then contacted Payless Water Heaters. The appointment was made and the technician, Joey, showed up just as scheduled. He was polite and very personable as we recounted the situation. He smiled and said Okay, let me get to work. Ill let you know what I find. 15 minutes later the water heater was lit and running perfectly. Joey then explained every aspect of what had gone wrong. After the explanation we were sick with the realization that the other 2 technicians LIED to us hoping to trick us into purchasing a brand new heater and paying for installation! Matter of fact, Joey referenced the same issue that I had pointed out to the tech in the Red truck 2 days earlier & suggested some preventative maintenance to which we wholeheartedly agreed to have done right then. 30 minutes later, all was well. Had a 15 year old tankless that took a fall for the worse! Got amazing quick service from Payless and they were out the next day. Juan and Carlos were great. Gave us options, no pressure, very transparent. These guys did the work right then, communicated all issues super clearly, very clean, and even smiled when working on the hot sun. Total success. Cost for a quality tankless is high, but I know the work was high quality as well. I also really appreciated that they talked and walked through the installation together and learned from one another. I’m a teacher and we allcan learn and get better together! Payless Water Heater went beyond any business Ive seen before. This company is the greatest. The original technician had called in sick. The company called to reschedule the same day. Only a couple more hours they sent out technician Rick M. He was very professional and replaced a leaking water heater. He had everything in his van to do the work. He put me at ease right away and made me comfortable with letting this company do the work. The finished product was very nice and he cleaned up after himself. I would highly recommend this company. Their prices are great and be sure to ask for Rick M. It was work well done and Iwas very satisfied with the entire process from making the appointment to the finished product.

Payless did a good job on replacing our water heater.However, there was one glitch. We were told, before they visited the first time to look at the problem, that this visit would cost $59 but the cost would be taken off the final cost, if we used Payless to solve the problem. We paid them the $59 on the first visit. At the end of the second visit we paid them the full amount for the water heater replacement. We had forgotten that the $59 should be taken off, and they didnt mention anything about it.A couple of days later we remembered that we should have gotten $59 off the final cost. We called them and they gave us a $59 refund. This was good, but they should have remembered, and should have taken the $59 off the final cost on day they replaced the water heater.Otherwise Payless did a fine job.

Payless was very prompt in helping us with our water heater that has been leaking into our garage. The receptionist is kind and was able to send out a plumber right away for help. Spencer has been very helpful in installing our new heater and explaining the situation and giving us options as well. He did the work in a very professional manner and we didn’t have any issues with the water heater installation so far.

I helped my parents in purchasing a new water heater when the old one conked out. Through a local ad we found Payless Water Heaters. I called and spoke with Brittany who was friendly and professional. Within the hour we had someone at the door to give us an estimate and ultimately install the new water heater. Our specialist, Danny C., was also professional and friendly. He took the time to explain our options and helped us figure out the best solution for my parents. We never felt pressured to go one way or the other. He then proceeded to efficiently install the new tankless water heater. Yesterday, I had a great experience with Mr. Thomas B. of Payless Water Heaters who replaced my 75 gal water heater. I called the office at 9:00 AM and at 10:00 AM Thomas showed up at my residence to check the site and give me an estimate for replacing the water heater. The price offered was competitive and reasonable. Thomas completed the job on the same day. He was very meticulous, knowledgeable, and professional. We used Payless water heaters for the last 18 years, very reliable, professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. This is our 3rd water heater replaced with them and finally got a tankless water heater. We started with a call to main number ( very friendly and efficient operator)around 11:30 am . Thomas was here around 12, very professional and friendly guy. He explained everything and thats why we got a tankless water heater. Joey came in around 2pm and finished by 4;45, very efficient and very friendly.We are very happy with everyones service, and we will definitely recommend this local business !!!

Payless was very prompt in coming to help me with a new but non-functioning water heater. While their proposed fix was reasonable, Darren was kind and honest enough to inform me that that the water heater was under warranty. So, instead of hiring Payless, I called the company (A.O. Smith) and they sent me the replacement parts and I repaired it myself. Of course, we were taking cold showers for a few days but that made us appreciate the luxury of hot water. Even though I did not use them this time, I highly recommend Payless for their timeliness and integrity!

While I did not end up using Payless to replace my tankless water heater, they were responsive and thorough. When a water heater goes out, you are in no mood to sit around and wait. Payless scheduled an appointment the same day. Aldrin kept me up to date on his progress and showed up as promised. He evaluated the situation and provided an estimate that was detailed and thorough. For other reasons we decided to work with another company for the installation, but Aldrin’s friendly, customer-focused approach was greatly appreciated.

Amazed at the number of positive reviews. This company is full of liars and cheats. Called this company to fix our water heater. We spoke to whirlpool to get the parts needed to fix the heater, they sent us the parts because it was still under warranty.This company came out, flat out told us We dont fix water heaters. And began to bait us into replacing the entire water heater. When we pointed at the part whirlpool sent us as needing to be replace. The plumber/salesman claimed that was the wrong part. How has your company been in business for over 20 years and you cant tell the difference between an anode rod and a dip tube?The company also urged us not to get a permit, and said no one really gets permits for water heaters Really? When we said we wanted a permit, he said fine we can get you one, and wanted to charge us $250 for a permit. Called the permit board in our city. $90 flat fee.Do NOT get baited into their cheap $60 service call fee. No one charges this little amount, its a bait and upsell.

A representative came to my house and provided a range of estimates for a replacement water heater installation. He was polite and efficient but they couldnt schedule me before Friday morning and I was able to utilize the services of a licensed general contractor in the family and get it done that day. Aden, the rep., explained the several quotes in detail and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. The lady handling the office phones was good too and I felt like I had called a reputable company.

Absolutely saved us! Our water heater started flooding our garage. I shut it off and called Payless. Brittany took my call and was calm and friendly and told me they’d take care of us. They had someone at our home in 30 minutes!!! Our tech was Manny and he got right to work on replacing our water heater. He was incredibly polite, friendly and good at his job! Chris came and looked at our situation for a tankless water heater in a manufactured home. He was very courteous and polite but did call his supervisor a couple of times regarding HUD regulations which I told him about. All this is ok. But we never received an estimate. Called office and spoke with Jennifer who promised to send estimate but never did. Though calling several more times over next few days no one ever picked up the phone or responded to our messages.
