I honestly can’t say enough about the professionalism and amazing customer service of the shift manager DanielHe is always friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable of products and goes beyond with his care to the customers.And I go there 3-5 times a week to witness this and one of the major reasons that we shop there.

Becoming more and more dissatisfied with this place.Milk on the shelf has expired days ago,The people they have bagging your groceries are seemingly clueless as to HOW to do it (when asked directly, the baggers say they have NO training - and it shows), and wherever they get their crappy paper bags from needs to go out of business - the handles keep ripping off the bags - usually because the clueless baggers fill the bags TOO full, causing the failure.As a result, groceries are spilled either in the car, out on the driveway, the sidewalk, halfway up the stairs, or (like today), on the kitchen floor (see photo), smashing more delicate items, like hamburger buns & bread.Ive seen the paperwork - this place makes about $500K per week, yet management is bordering on incompetence (being kind, here). They never stock products weve repeatedly requested (theres even a specific place ALREADY ON the shelf for it showing where it goes, but its always out of stock - and they cant figure out how to get it.As Amazon grows its grocery business, it will be interesting to watch Vons/Pavilions go the way of Market Basket and Mayfair markets.

The supermarket just had a major renovation. They have a big wine selection along with a huge cheese section. They also have an in-house sushi chef with many fresh rolls.

We needed a few groceries to last us a couple days whilst in Pasadena and this was the first supermarket I noticed on Google maps. Its certainly not a superstore that for sure but it was sufficient for our requirements. The staff were friendly enough, the cashier tried to help me obtain a store loyalty card which would have reduced my bill by probably 15-20%, alas it wasnt to be, the machine for registration needed a phone number and being British it couldnt recognise mine. Had that have happened i would probably rate the store a bit higher, its actually quite expensive. The cost of food seems to be ever increasing in the UK but I dont think I would have paid anywhere near what I did today for a couple of days supplies. $95 for 4 small bags of food seems pretty hard to believe.

Remodelled, bright, spacious, but as in most groceries this year, the availability of items has fallen and the quality of produce is declining. We no longer answer when checker asks, Did you find everything you wanted today? Parking was good. Staff were helpful. Their wine selection is better and they had a double discount weekend.

Sept-2023 UpdateThe Vons is now closing and very unhappy! Looking at the weekly ad preview for both Vons and Pavilions and there are things advertised in the Vons ad that are not in the Paviliions ad! Guess well be going to the Vons on California Blvd to save money.Made my first visit in awhile to check it out after the remodeling. Nice and clean but narrow isles. On a light day it was hard to maneuver around other peoples carts. Same thing in the rest of the store if there are carts in the way. Way less space than the Vons across the street. Good meat and seafood department, much better than the Vons. Also good deli, bakery, hot food section. However, prices are mostly lower at Vons across the street. Service is mostly good. Cashier wasnt responding to my attempts for small talk at first but finally opened up when I mentioned how nice the newly remodeled store looked. Guess she needed to warm up to me though she was super animated with the previous customer. Overall, the store is nice but would rather shop at Vons across the street to save money and can usually find everything I want including Prime Rib for $6.99 a pound this week. I would come to this Pavilions if wanted something more specific in the meat and seafood department.

This store is large and has most everything you need. It’s clean and well cared for. They have a large assortment of everything too. The checkers and staff are polite and helpful. They Carry a lot of special items that you normally don’t buy. But to me this is a store for people who have money. Lots of it, and don’t care what they’re charged, and obviously don’t need to cut coupons, or count pennies like me. The prices are astronomical and with inflation making all prices go higher and higher, they should be ashamed of charging people the prices they do! Regular folk soon won’t be able to shop their. They really overcharge you.Other than that, it’s a good store.

Im giving it a 5 stars because the checker was awesome. So was the person who helped me out, trying to find a product from Snake River Farms. Hot dogs I wanted to get were all out of code. Hot dog buns were all stale. Didnt realize hot dogs, and buns were so hard to buy. Maybe the store was just having a bad day. We all have bad days. Ill try again.

First time coming here, and right away I got great customer service from Andrew! He made sure we had a clean cart and he also bagged my items right. Pavilions have a lot of selection in fruits and vegetables. Fresh herbs and frozen vegetables too. Its a little pricey, but for good quality and great service, its worth it!

Great store but not so great cashiers. I was trying to pay for my items today with Apple Pay for the first time, and this rude cashier named Rose kept speaking to me in a rude tone and was being very impatient. I asked for a bag but she ignored my request, so I had to walk home carrying my purchased items. I think Ill go to Vons from now on.

This South Pas location is one grocery store that really takes their customers health into consideration. They are able to control crowds better than any store Ive been to, and help ensure people are social distancing. This is one of a few stores I feel safe to do my weekly shopping and not have the anxiety of other customers not being considerate of others.

First time shopping here in a while and I have to say, the Meat Department has some very nice people. Andrew from meat department helped me out today with selecting some fish, and he gave me the idea of using compound butter to enhance the taste of the fish I bought. Will come back again!

Lovely little Karens roaming the aisles.Update: the Karen wasnt a big deal.Pavilions in sopas actually has great selections and great prices. The workers are fantastic and always have a smile on their face. Cant complain! Have been going here since I was kid. The best neighborhood market in Sopas. They seem to be renovating the exterior right now. Hope it looks good!

This has been my go to shopping place for many years. The quality of the meat is always good and they do a pretty good job restocking the shelves. The best thing is most of the baggers do a good job sorting my groceries in the proper bags. In other store they try to best and they are sloppy. No chemicals with food. That irritates me. Also cold products go in the lined bags. This place is great.

Always enjoy shopping there. Organic produce is always fresh and fairly priced. All grocery products are clearly marked as gluten free and /or organic. Check out staff is always courteous and friendly but bakery staff not always.

The pharmacy is excellent and rates a full 5 stars The pharmacists and counter personnel are professional, responsive and involved.I would give the same 5 star rating to the Sushi chef. I need to up date my list of checkers, butchers and managers to acknowledge the best ones,As a market, Pavilions gets a 3 at best. The problem I have with Pavilions concerns buying decisions being made by corporate out of control of the on site personnel. There is no local control of stocking issues and why a line of soups suddenly is no longer available.

I loved how there were no lines evey time I shop at this store. You go in and out quickly. They have staff always ready to ring up customers. The store is always very clean and organized too, which is great. If your looking for TP, good luck. Theyre typically always out due to COVID.

Its funny to me shopping at pavilions and shopping at vons. Theyre kind of but not exactly, the same thing. Pavilions Ive gone to since I was a kid when the one on duarte road formed. It was the first store of its kind and that modern style you know, with me to know Starbucks and whatnot. This doesnt disappoint. The bathrooms are a little bit harder to find but still there. I like to go here for spices and whatnot. Of course, you never know what youll find, so its good for you to read the papers cuz sometimes things are like crazy cheap prices.

Deli Dept needs to be schooled on sanitation, as Sandra used the bread knife to spread our dressing, which obviously means she used it all day that way. Then poor customer service from herself and Joseph was way out of line. She said, I can have someone else make you another sandwich, instead of admitting to her mistake. She through the sandwich away and asked Joe to re-due the order. Joe then proceeded asking what kind of bread with a deep breath of ATTITUDE.

What a great store! This is my whole foods. They have everything from gourmet cheeses, meats, fresh seafood and international goods to everyday items that one can grab in a pinch. All the checkers and baggers are kind, friendly and concerned about your shopping experience. The deli makes fab sandwiches and some beautiful party platters. The meat department is knowledgeable and doesnt mind cutting up a roast for a recipe. Veggies and fruits are fresh and plentiful, and the deli/dairy Dept is almost overwhelmingly stuffed with tons of goodies for everyones taste. I can find everything necessary and more at my Pavilions.

I went to the Deli Counter at 7.10pm. Three staff cleaning up everything to go home. You are open or you are not. I was the only one standing there and I knew they saw me. Maybe I was supposed to shout at them. Anyway one woman arrived after me and one of the staff turned around and said we will be with you shortly, I thought great, Well they served that woman first, I said Ok they will be with me next The staff member then shouted in to the guy in the back who was also cleaning up to go home. I need some help out here Out he came and said who is next The first staff member pointed to anther woman who just arrived looking for service and said She Is I told them what I thought and a manager too. I dropped my basket on the floor and left. If you believe your staff over me check you cameras Wed June 13th 7.10pm. My wife and I operate from two business cards so I know how much money we have left in this place in the last 10 years. Not another penny

This is a very well illuminated market comparing with Vons across the street.. flower arrangements are beautiful and plenty. This used to be very very good store I dont understand whats going on that they do not carry what they used to and offer what they used to be that used to be like a mini Bristol Farms or something. It was like the high-end of Vons and now its more like if Vons doesnt have it theres a chance that maybe Pavilions might carry it and generally for most shopping I have to go to Vons now instead of pavilions I really miss the old pavilions with the extra amount of specialty Health Foods.

Dont get me wrong, I have been here many many times and I have never left disappointed until my interaction with a cart collector in the presence of my 83 year old client.While in the parking lot, Employee Alfanso was returning 3 carts by hand back to the store. I walked up to him and asked for one to give to my client as she doesnt walk well.He acknowledged my presence and disregarded my request. Twice. He proceeded to return the carts and I ended up following him several feet to the store just to get a cart and walk back to my client waiting for my return.Im very disappointed in Pavilions staff hospitality.

Well, we went around 7:30PM, and the parking lot was not that crowded, I guess the sky is falling and I need my toilet paper crowd already left. The fruit and vegetables section had some empty spots, ie no bananas. The cookie dough was mostly gone, packaged meats were gone, plenty of creamer and milk, pasta shelves were mostly empty, so in a nutshell, the crazies had cleaned out what they think would be needed for the apocalypse! The staff was working hard, as usual, and one of them told me that the line to get in started before 5:30AM! IRRATIONAL FEAR!

I like that Pavilions goes over and above to maintain a clean and safe environment for Shoppers during the times of this pandemic. Their lines are properly monitored, and social distancing is respectfully enforced at all times. At other stores, even Walmart and other Vons locations I find that those measures arent enforced as stringently as they should be. Im grateful for the staff at Pavilions, and the hard work and diligence they do in serving the community and maintaining this Immaculate environment. Visited the Pavilions pharmacy to receive my first dose of the vaccine (after FINALLY letting go of all my anxiety-inducing reservations.) the pharmacist was professional and answered all my questions. I like that there is an office-like enclosure for privacy and monitoring after the vaccine.Tip: You need an appointment.

Expired Voucher scam with their partnership with reCycle - if you are unable to cash it in the same day, you have to jump through hoops and lose money in postage to get a replacement voucher. I used to go to Ralphs Pharmacy on Garfield and Huntington. After I moved, its more convenience to come to pavilions, cos its closer and fewer ppl. Now I kinda know why its fewer ppl because therere fewer pharmacists or technicians work there, no more than 3 at the same time (unless theres more in the back office...) Also, for the pavilions pharmacy app, I cant really get it right when using to pavilions refills. No matter how I arranged the prescription list, I dont see much differences. Sometimes I find it easier to manually delete the entry from the dashboard so that the screen is less crowed and easier to read.

Baby Vons? Or maybe more like Vons step brother. They are in the same family and often have similar sales. Pavilions does have longer hours but will most of the time just go to Vons instead.
