This is not only the nicest Pavilions/Vons Ive ever been to, but its actually the nicest GROCERY STORE Ive ever been inside of. The layout, the cleanliness, the signs, the freshly made food, the variety of products, and the produce– everything was great. Prices are on the higher side in typical Vons/Pavilions fashion, but if you just take a look at the weekly ads and/or use the mobile app, you can save a lot.

I really enjoy coming here for my grocery shopping. Veggies and fruits always fresh. Meat selections are great. Bakery items are many and plenty as well as a great selection of cheeses. Fresh flowers I buy weekly. The service is wonderful. Parking is plenty. My experience so far wonderful.

Usually great. I was allowed to charge my phone there for a month as a paying customer over my food near the wheelchairs. Id sit on the floor, out of everyones way, charge my phone, and eat. At least 10 employees have seen me do this.Today Pavilions was unfair to me. The manager kicked me out over it. Manager told me that what I did is a public issue they cant have. I realize my existance is a public issue, and Ive been working on it for 32 years (my age). I wish I could be all smiley, have all the money and material goods in the world, but lately, I just want to disappear. I hate myself. Such is the life of someone who cant get work and lives in a shelter, and isnt a pristine, perfect manager. I feel like complete trash half the time. When its between food and hair styling products, Im choosing food every time.Clean store, mostly fresh food, good customer service.

The stairs are always dirty, can’t find carts all of the time, also normally out of baskets. Food prices are too high. Never have enough cashiers. Normally only one or two cashiers . Long lines, managers do not step in to help out with the registers. The deli normally only has one or two people, you can hear them laughing in the back, but not waiting on us. No numbers to take to know who is next. Parking lot is never washed. I live just Dow the street from this store, but I have stopped going there, I drive another 2 miles to Ralphs. Much better store, clean and better prices and well staffed.

Whoever decided dates would be a bigger seller than parfaits or snack packs with granola, you kinda deserve to be fired. Dates? “Can’t wait to go to Pavillions to get my snack pack with dates!” said no ever.This goes back to the argument of paying a living wage for workers to cut fresh food. Your store is over 95% preservatives. You should be able to manage.

One of my favorite grocery stores they have fresh good quality sushi,bakery, meats, and produce. They also have very fresh elite seafood selections. Their jumbo shrimp and crab legs are signature selections. I love getting deli sandwiches and they have delicious salads. This store has a selection of delicious prepared meals that’s either ready to eat ready to heat or ready to cook. If you visit this store and you are a chocolate chip cookie fan I highly recommend that you go back to the bakery and get a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie that they keep warm and they are some of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. The store is big and spacious and the Starbucks in the front makes delicious drinks

So after reading a few recent reviews it appears this is something the store is aware of and condones because it’s still happening. My family and I visited this location today for the first time in person as we typically order online. It was okay for two seconds and immediately all of the security on shift appear out of nowhere and proceeded to follow all of us around the store. As we split up to get our items and meet back up again mysteriously all of the security were within our proximity as well and there were plenty of other customers in the store but we primarily were the only ones of color. Literally there is one standing on each aisle just staring at us. We immediately headed to check out as we were ready to leave at that point and as we headed out the taller older security scoffed and stared angrily at my husband and became aggressive. That’s my first and last time I will be racially profiled at a grocery store. This location should revise their security or provide better training on how to pick up on theft not based upon skin color.

Store is clean, products are well stocked, and they have little carts for kids to use which my son loves. However, the staff isnt very pleasant at all. Makes me usually go down the street to Ralphs because it just seems depressing in there when you look at the workers looking like they would love to be anywhere else in the world then being there working.

Biggest grocery store Ive personally shopped, and it has everything Ive ever needed. So clean and well-designed with ver accessible wide aisles. The only tricky part is the produce section along the back aisle. They have huge posts (necessary to support the ceiling, of course) to maneuver around. Everyone is polite and friendly, so you just wait to pass. Advice, leave the cart outside that aisle and walk it.

This Pavilions has the biggest selection of items I have seen in a grocery store since pandemic started. The only thing I can say is that they need to hire more people for the deli section. Great selection, very expensive but, that is all Vons and Pavilions.

Ive been here a few times. Its a big store. Tons of high quality food choices. Starbucks is inside. Used the bathroom. Was perfectly clean, and fully stocked with TP, and soap. Theres always someone around to help you on the floor. I enjoyed my experience.

My FAVORITE grocery store EVER. The place is so clean and organized, containing most anything you need. I love the selections of ready made food as well as the food they make there. Everything is fresh and the staff are friendly and helpful. Pavilions is my home away from home and I love to shop here. Best grocery store ever!!! Literally I would live here.

For some reason, they ALWAYS have low stock or even out of stock in produce (juices, asparagus, peaches, plums), dairy, cheeses, pet food, chips, frozen vegetables! Its like they never restock the store during the day! Besides that, the customer service from the cashiers and produce is perfect.I would rather choose another store if I based my opinion on products STOCK!Update Feb 6 2023: Same situation! They really need to hire someone to track their inventory. At least 60% of your shopping list will be out of stock for sure!!

Been grocery shopping here for a while because of how close and convenient it is. Today I got a nice lick of attitude from Tony at the deli section because I was curious to know what a certain item was on the menu. A customer behind me was able to answer my question much faster and politely before lil Tony, all because he was fuming up behind the counter. Try not to ask questions to this guy because hell be sure to make it obvious that he doesnt want to be there.

Here’s a pretty solid selection of prepared and unprepared foods, lots of organic goods, and it looks like a good wine selection (dunno with certainty, I don’t partake). Folks are nice, the store is clean, the obligatory rewards program is actually worthwhile, and there’s a ton of parking. It’s nice to have this store in the neighborhood.

I’ve been a Pavilions (S.O.) girl before the store was torn down yrs bk. An old store but always good prices, background music that always seem to play songs I enjoyed, if I couldn’t locate an item they always took me to where it was located and the best tasting Patricia Lee tomatoes…hands down, Better than (tomatoes on the vine). Only drawback: never enough open registers.Finally P. Is back with a beautiful store, great floor plan, clean an spacious, well organized, produce looks fresh, always stocked shelves, allot of variety across the board, major parking, interior/exterior and pleasant staff.They have grass fed meat to boot! An actual variety. Not the norm at any market you walk into.The day I was looking in this section, 3 managerial/owner looking men were near by. I had a question re my selection so went to the meat counter.To my surprise one of them asked if I needed help while the other two paying attn. This does not happen with this level asking if a customer needs help. We are talking the nicest professional men offering their individual input to my questions. A true personal touch that does not exist in the everyday grocery store. It reminded me of the prior store and how they gave true customer service.I appreciate my years w R. but their newer location on Ventura Bl in S.O. doesn’t hold a candle to to Pavilions.What happened?? The worst parking Ever and the floor plan is so poor. Nothing personal but I personally would have to be desperate to go there. Going to an older store would be a better experience.You’re going to Love Pavilions’s !

First time in this store. Pleasantly surprised by the greeting in the underground parking lot and it was appreciated since it was raining heavily.Each department I visited was sparkling clean and organized beautifully and the selection of produce as well as all other products was impressive. Even though I live in North Hollywood and a bit of a distance away, I will definitely go out of my way to shop at this Pavilions. Their staff could not have been more helpful or cordial.

Pavillion for years has been my grocery market to go. I can find every item I look for. Friendly staff, and if they dont have what I want, I go to the manager, and they make sure I have it on my next visit. The best perk is the points and free items I get on their app.

Very helpful staff and the quality of the fruits are very fresh the prices dont include too many specials as other locations but its a pleasant experience and theres plenty of choices and options to pick from I dont feel the places under stocked like other slower locations which is pretty busy.The staff are very friendly at the register and the Glendon is level is very comfortable to use the cart I sometimes avoid that but in this location I thought it was clean. I am not sure whats happening to this new pavilions.never have enough cashiers and the line is always long. Usually 2 cashiers 1 in 15 item and 1 regular. I went to buy grocery and when I saw this line I went to Ralphs instead. If the customers are going to pay the higher prices for their grocery they should not have to wait so long to check out. Nice supermarket but need more cashiers.

Very nice grocery store, one of the best in San Fernando Valley. Modern, nice, and clean. Has a huge parking lot. Good food selection. All the equipment is new, and products are stored at the correct temperature. If they will reduce the prices a little bit would be 10 out of 10.

Like another reviewer mentioned, the layout of aisles is a little hard to maneuver, but overall, Ill take the wide, brightly lit aisles over crowded ones any day! Although the old Pavilions was way outdated, I miss the charming associates. This new crew was very friendly though.

Amazing Grocery Store. Top shelf meat, fish and bakery. One of the best butcher shop and seafood counter Ive ever seen. Ill take a few pics next time. They have special cuts of meat you dont usually find at your regular grocery store. Plus all the regular stuff and sale prices that Vons has every week. If you want high quality gourmet cuts & foods. This is the place. Im sure the butcher will cut or order whatever you want. I wasnt ready for this store. I live a few hours away, but go by there every month or two. So next time Im bringing an ice chest. Its worth a visit if you live anywhere in the valley. Id definitely drive farther to go there. Even hours if their wasnt something similar closer. They are great at speeding you up to make sure you get out before close but its usually without a quarter of the stuff you need. I live close to this pavilions and its really nice, clean, and comes in handy whenever I need some late night snacks or a beer! Speaking of which, beer selection is kinda meh, but they have a decent liquor and wine selection, and an alright section for specialty cocktail ingredients. Food selection is a bit tight and a little pricier than nearby grocers, but it is convenient, not that crowded, and does have more specialty items like a decent selection of cheeses. This place just feels higher quality and since its brand new, it feels clean and safe.

Finally a great market in Sherman Oaks. I drive from Studio City to this location. It’s big with easy parking. The staff know where everything is and are super friendly. Every time I visit this grocery store dressed casually I always get racially profiled by the security guards here. I’m so fed up with these two old pathetic security guards.They follow me around the store and especially when I’m browsing the alcohol section.I live down the street from this grocery store and it sucks that I can’t even feel comfortable in the store.I came in today to see if they had any new shipment of Eagle Rare and as soon as I get to the isle .. the security guards comes up to beginning of the isle to just watch me look around.Get it together and stop racially profiling black men who come in the store wearing baseball caps.

*NEW REVIEW* I gave another try to have more shopping experience. So, I started using Pavilion’s app, & I must say that helps to save money. I like this store now. They’re open from 6:00am to 11:00pm, accepts Apple/Google pay, most of my receipts go straight to app. Pavilion’s is clean, organized, nice employees and have great selections of food products & produce. Unlike my first time experience, I can differentiate between Pavilions & other stores. They charge more for same products that you can buy at cheaper prices at Jons or Food4Less. Been waiting over 2 yrs for it to re-open and it was worth the wait! This Pavilions is awesome! You gotta check it out! They have a great seafood and meat dept, they even get some of their seafood from the Santa Monica Seafood Market which is of the very best freshness and quality. I go here all the time because I live nearby. The store is on the smaller end, but the employees do the best with what theyve got. If I were only rating the employees, I would give them 5 stars without hesitation. However, the store is relatively older and smaller than other Vons and Pavilions locations, and lines can get long when they are under-staffed (which seems to be too often for my tastes).

I used to live around the corner and was able to walk here most weeks for my groceries. I enjoyed the convenient location but I think it was my first grocery store shock after moving to LA from SD. The store seemed old and small to me.The staff was nice and I was always able to find what I want and the parking lot is big enough that you dont have to worry.

This is my store. I can walk to it. I see a pattern of bad management decisions. 1st time, a few months ago, I bought 3 of those beautiful cupcakes from the bakery counter. Gave one as a birthday present. I tried the other 2 and they were old and disgusting so I threw them out. I went back and told someone in the bakery and she said sorry. I asked her how long they are kept before they get tossed and she said 4 days. So I guess I tried to feed my family 4 day old cupcakes. Wow.2nd bought a pound of the gigantic shrimp. Pulled them out to eat the next day and they had that ammonia smell that old seafood gets. Had to throw them out.3rd... 2x a week i go in hoping to find onions bagels. I ask them to make some please. Theyre really good. Apparently its the bakery managers decision and that person isnt getting the message or doesnt care.What a bummer.Such a pretty supermarket, but I guess Ill be getting back in my car and going to Ralphs. Pavillions, you dont care what youre selling or what were asking for. Did you think we wouldnt notice. Shame on you.

Beautiful market. Nice and friendly staff. There is a pharmacy, Starbucks and floral department. My 2 complaints and reason for the 1 star deduction was that I found the layout a little confusing and counter intuitive. The frozen food department is layed out like a T shape which may sound fine but it makes no sense and cost me a lot of time to navigate and find the items I needed. I dont understand why they put frozen vegetables with frozen berries( think smoothies) and frozen Sara Lee pies in the same freezer isle. The next isle over is all ice cream (?) Opposite more frozen entrées including the pizzas. Perpendicular to that isle is a long freezer ( the T I mentioned earlier)with more frozen entrées like the lean cuisine etc. The next isle after is the refrigerated lunch meats,, cheese hot dogs and bacon.. That was also really poorly thought out as the meat department is on the opposite end and back of the store so if you want to grab your fridge foods,, then fresh meats and lastly the frozen (Ice cream! Lol) and head out to check out quickly so the food doesnt melt or ruin it just doesnt flow. Other than the actual food layouts the other issue is the prices are barely competitive even if you have a store membership. If the prices were as reasonable as the Ralphs market in Sherman Oaks, I would be back as a regular. Unfortunately, I am going to assume due to the giant size of the store they need to charge more to cover the rent. In a nutshell, nice market, nice staff, clean store but hard to navigate with significantly high prices for things like milk, meat and pretty much everything else.

This is a hugh store that seems 2x the size of their other stores offering a much larger assortment of fresh and frozen foods, deli, breads, sport drinks, baby foods fresh bakery, body and home goods, hugh freezer section, variety of medicine and sports drinks, fresh vegetables, etc. The store is well maintained and very clean, and their employees are friendly and helpful. Also, many cashiers and self checkout. Highly recommended.

The new store is beautiful! So happy to have them back. Their bakery sections is especially nice, I got a nice fluffy chocolate custard bismarck, it was heaven- no self serve, for covid safety, but the staff will bag them for you behind the counter, which is much appreciated. Staff seems really great, in general.Edit: Okay, so 9 months later: what on earth is happening at this store?? Let me tell you the things I have seen. Expired milk for sale. Moldy grapes for sale. Beef that is the wrong color for sale. Yesterday I bought one of what I thought was those lovely chocolate custard bismarks, and today I bit into it. There was no filling till I got halfway in, and it was filled with lemon? And not like sweet, lovely lemon like is usually in a bismark, it was so sour, inedibly so, like the recipe was off. I was totally up for chocolate lemon, even if thats an odd combo, but I could not finish it, it was so wrong tasting and sharply sour. I rarely shop here anymore, the only thing I go for anymore is the bakery and the fancy anchovies they sell that my bf is obsessed with.

From first entering it reminded me of a Costco; high industrial ceilings, huge lamps. Add to that the produce section is small and mixed up in fact the whole store is jumbled- meat packaged and displayed throughout (?). The bakery section is dismal in selection and the actual meat section both packed and service is tiny and mostly previously frozen. Move along to the dairy and the half gallons of anything but plastic Vons brand milk is so highly placed I had to help two clients get. If that is not bad enough the store IS EXPENSIVE, REALLY expensive. Overall the new Pavillions is very nice, but the aisles are laid out in a strange way and the produce is overpriced for what it is. I always seem to have trouble with the produce there. First it was that they didnt have any fresh lettuce, then they only had green bananas and mushy/moldy strawberries. For their prices, I would think their produce selection would be better. Also, the people working the Boars Head counter are friendly but slow. Everything I order seems to take twice as long compared to Ralphs.

I shop here every week and loved it until last night (5/12) i got followed around by the security guard throughout my whole visit. The security wasn’t even trying to be discreet about it, he would look right into my cart and i didn’t even get to finish shopping because of how uncomfortable i felt with him blatantly following me around my whole visit. He followed me from the fruit section all the way until the other corner by the bakery. Today 5/28/2022 around 2 pmA group of teens in beat up black car with broken left rear bumper followed us to Pavilions Sherman oaks parking lot.We have our baby with us and the driver was signaling to my husband(drivers seat) to lower his window and he said you have a scratch in your car, I can fix those. Anne (one of the owners) puts love in everything they make and the entire Lotus Vegan family is wonderful.Yes to all the appetizers/starters. Yes to all the dinner and lunch specials. So I was just at the location today, and I must say I had quite an interesting experience. I asked a young man named Donald to help me, and he ended up saving me thousands of dollars! I had been notified by my business manager that my water and power was going to be shut off, and when I called the number they provided the man and woman on the other end directed me to a Pavilions to purchase a prepaid card for what they said was a mandatory same-day payment process. This sounded strange to me, but I feared that my business was going to have its power shut off at any moment so I went to this location.When Donald had directed me to the pre-paid cards, he asked me what they were for. When I explain my situation to him he insisted that I didnt buy the cards and that I was being conned. Sure enough, the number I had called earlier was disconnected that evening.I would have transferred thousands of dollars to criminals account had it not been for Donald. The fact that he cared enough to ask my situation, along with helping me out of a con, shows his compassion and professionalism. Five star simply for the staff.

I suppose over the years the difference between a Vons and Pavilions has faded, because this Pavilions location is definitely not higher end than a typical Vons. It is somewhat smaller and older than most other Vons, Safeway, or Pavilions locations, but still manages to pack in most of what you expect in a supermarket. You can tell they tried to fit as much as possible into the store as they can, so kudos to them for making the most of they have to work with. Overall you can find all your essentials and with ample parking, this Pavilions is convenient if you don’t prefer Ralphs down the street.
