Unfortunately on more than several occasions I have purchased expensive foods that I discover are old and rotten when I get home.. I am often in a rush and grab items only to get home and discover mold and/or old dates. The produce is usually very poor- brown grapes, dingy looking fruit and vegetables. ThisMarket shouldnot be selling moldy food. I have addressed with management and they say unfortunately our department managers don’t care. For example: outdated goat cheese, moldy bread, moldy old bacon (I didn’t purchase this but noticed several packages when I was shopping so I took them off the shelves and handed to a worker behind the meat counter, he didn’t care at all and just tossed them in trash. No concern at all. I have purchased clementines that turned out to be moldy and avocados that are rotten once opened. The store is horribly managed. Should be much nicer for the prices and they need to clean out old food. For the prices I will go to Gelson’s and Trader Joe’s is consistently far better and cheaper.

Ive been a loyal customer at this store for the past five years. However, in the past year, there have been noticeable changes. This establishment would greatly benefit from improved management. Securing assistance here has become exceedingly difficult. Often during business hours, staff availability is limited, and those present seem disinterested in providing help. The lack of professionalism among the staff is concerning.

Came in for a quick purchase. The front entrance was mobbed with Jr High kids and their e-bikes. One male student RODE HIS E-BIKE INTO THE STORE.I observed kids stuffing their backpacks with prepackaged snacks in front of the in store Starbucks. No manager or security.Sad.

The vast majority of grocery stores have humdrum normal lighting, pretty much the same as it has been for decades.At this store the future is now! Just as some movies can give a glimpse of how things might be in the future, grocery stores can to. Aisle #6 in Pavilions Orchard Hills is a preview of a utopian future almost as it is portrayed on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise from a Star Trek movie with overhead mini-track lighting for display cases and abundant under-shelf led light ribbons smartly accenting everything.People going to Pavilions Orchard Hills are better off. It is very easy to see what it is you are buying. Not only that, light has potent biological and therapeutic effects. Light also modulates the release of melatonin and serotonin, and is necessary to synchronize your circadian rhythms. Bright light and the deprivation of it can affect the internal biological clock, sleep patterns, and energy levels.In contrast, some stores in OC are purposely half-lit and dark, which gives more of a dystopian vibe like the dark fight scene in the movie Divergent, and the products are harder to see. Im sure the purpose in the dark stores is to make someone feel good by saving energy on less lighting and thereby doing their part to both keep costs down and save the planet.For me though, I prefer a well-lit store.

Tony at the sandwich bar extraordinary service went out of his way help my dad find the single serve cream cheese which they didn’t have but Tony took his bagel anyway toasted it while He waited on my Starbucks cut it in half and just really made his morning pleasant. Tony delivered restaurant service restaurant quality service at a sandwich bar at Vons pavilion in Irvine the address is attached to the receipt Tony made my dads day! Thanks Tony

Their flyers often mislead advertised prices as hidden conditions and regulations. I felt “cheated” twice this week and wouldn’t believe how and why they do it to make extra a few dollars. The way they do sucks.Additionally, grape tomatoes I got had about 10% of inedible pieces. I shouldve gone to Albertsons or Ralphs for shipping.

Manager Michael G blocked off the store entrance 45 minutes before closing on Christmas day. Drove 20 minutes out of my way to the location to replace a rotten prime rib. Michael claimed he was letting employees go home early what employees? Theres no butcher, and I have to self checkout at the register. Will never return to this location again. 0/5 stars

This is truly a decadent store. They’ve got items here that I wouldn’t have jumped of seeing anywhere else plus the customer service here is outstanding, prepared to have a fancy environment all around you and all the food items that you could ever imagine in more I truly can’t think of a thing of how, and what I would complain about here it’s a little slice of heaven honestly.

I was shocked. I moved over here 3 years ago been going to this store since. I finally get out of my house because I have a hairline fracture. I was shopping in a scooter. This worker who passed me give me a dirty look. I don’t understand what was wrong. I wasn’t using the scooter inappropriately. Then started to check out him and girl coworker were staring at me the whole time. He finally approaches my friend who has a little boy. It said I remember you guys! They were excited for moment until he said because your son likes to push buttons and stand in front of the doors. How inappropriate was this comment. My friend laugh because she didn’t feel comfortable and even apologize. He didn’t need to act like this! His name is Jeff by the way! It crazy how people like him get hired and represent your store.

The three stars are each for the meat guys, the seafood guys, the pharmacy and the bakery person. Each of them provide superb service and are above and beyond the only reason I even continue shopping at this store.On the other hand the check stand people... not so much. Customer service is somewhat lackadaisical and in some cases the people are downright rude. Especially when it comes to bagging. Sometimes I need help, and I get covid makes that hard but a little help when i have big purchases would be nice, this store used to do that too, but ever since they had these new hires,I noticed a large drop in helpfulness.The florists also have crummy attitudes and the few times i have ordered roses from them, the plants either had thorns or they sold me extra stems, or the flowers had broken stems. Not cool.Poor attitudes aside, its a nice store, and like i mentioned, the meat/fish people, bakery, and pharmacy are awesome. but I self check out a majority of the time here for a reason and avoid buying anything else herr.

We grocery shop here for organic groceries, vegetables, fruits, and drinks. We also like to purchase our red roses from this store. They have a wide selection of roses and they are always so fresh and beautiful! All the employees here are nice. The Starbucks in the Pavilions is also convenient and amazing!

Produce is fresh, and all essentials are always in stock. Service is good and everything is fairly easy to find. Parking may be packed during certain times but there are lots of parking spaces. Prices are on par/pricer than other supermarkets.

This is a large, clean, pleasant store which has a good selection and well-organized aisles. I like the many options for semi prepared meals to take home and heat up. I also like the ability to find ingredients here that sometimes are not routinely stocked in other mainstream grocery stores. The parking is ample and convenient. Some prices are inflated compared to other neighborhood stores.

Amazing selection of wine liquor and cheeses. They have a giant fridge with top shelf liquors too. There’s are 3 giant Parmesan wheels that they cut into smaller pieces. I like the hard rind pieces. Love the deli fried chicken in regular recipe, but usually gone and cleaned up by 6 pm. Get there early.

I would like to thank the staff at the Pavilions for their extraordinary customer service. Specifically Dean in the pick up orders was very helpful. I had a few items left out of my order and I was looking to see if I could get a refund. Once on the phone Dean was very apologetic and kind, not only did I receive a full refund for the items but they also arranged a DoorDash driver to deliver the missing items. I highly recommend this store and would like to thank them for their help again!

I mostly come here for the PHARMACY. For some reason it doesnt pop up as PAVILIONS PHARMACY for a review so I will do it here. This is the best pharmacy ever. The team of pharmacists and techs are so caring, helpful and knowledgeable. They give great advice, keep on top of our drs so that refills are quickly filled, and they are highly skilled when it comes to giving vaccines, COVID and otherwise. I cant thank you all enough for being our wonderful partners and friends. Hugs to you all.

I have been in that store twice. I had to visit the western union area because I had to receive and send money. In that please you can find a lady who does not have good manners and her costumer service is really poor. She talked in an aggressive way and she was racist. I know that she would be manager but her actitud was like any uneducated person. I do not recommend using this wester union.

Be careful if you buy any of the MANAGERS SPECIAL TAKE ADDITIONAL % OFF items. The cashier who checked me out this morning did not take the % off. I understand that it is only a few dollars difference and everybody makes mistakes. Yes,, the service lady gave the difference back to me when I drove back to the store again, but there was No words of Apology at all that makes me wonder.

Items could be less expensive. In the worst case more available Associates on the floor to help you find things. Think about it, they have to pay somebody go round up the cart though out the day. OR try to grab one that is in the parking lot already and push it in to store a little loophole I guess.I do this all the time, when people are finishing up loading their groceries, Ill ask, are you finished with your cart? And always respond with, yes thank you. Ill return it for you. Its 👌 nice simple gesture. I would like to see more of. Men if see a women finishing loading her 🚗, ask to return her cart. So clean in this store that it looks like it is the first day it opened. MUCH better selection of quality produce, sauces, canned goods, etc. than Ralphs. This store is gorgeous. They have a spot where you can custom order a pizza, they have a deli and bakery that serves amazing food, and you can get a full roast smoked for you in under 2 hours. Their wines and spirits section has an amazing selection with lots of high end goods. It really is an amazing store.

This review is purely for the food service section. Pavilions makes pizzas and sandwiches, which are both excellent. However, walking in and finding no one around to help you is the norm. Managers will help you if you track them down, but will not come over to help otherwise. I hope they improve this, as the food itself is solid.Update: There has been a slight improvement in the food service, but service in general is bad. I live very close to Pavilions, so I often come to pick something up. I have never had an experience where the staff have been friendly and helpful. At best you are ignored, and at worst the staff will be rude. Their selection and products are good, including some unique items in their bakery, and fun items like kombucha on tap. However, their service drags them down.

Sherry is the most helpful person in the world. She shows great management, customer service and leadership. There was a gingerbread house making event today, I believe theres one next weekend also. Last night was my first time being an Instacart shopper. The staff at this store is very kind. I can’t find on the app all the names but there were 3 specific employees who were incredibly helpful to me. Miguel in seafood was so patient with me. I was having connectivity issues with my phone so I couldn’t communicate with my customer. He let me use his hotspot so I could finish my order and we very helpful in making sure I got the right items in my he meat and seafood department. He even followed with me to make sure I was able to finish my shopping and get to the register without more interruptions.The man that was working in produce with organics. He was also amazing. Miguel told his name but I don’t remember but he was also very patient and helpful.My cashier was Alissa. She was super sweet and helpful. She let me know there was another new Instacart shopper in her line earlier. That was comforting.Pavilions you’ve got good people and you’ve trained them well. This store just reopened on 2017-06-28. So far everyone is very helpful and the quality of the food is really good, while keeping prices more down to earth than when it was Haggen for a short period of time. Its smaller than some of the larger Vons or Pavilions in Anaheim Hills. They have a great wine selection. The bakery, deli, and meat selections are fresh as well.

BUYER BEWARE !If you shop here, you need to check the expiration dates, because they dont.I purchased a container of mixed greens, but I didnt check the dates. When I got home, I saw the greens were rotting. It was THREE DAYS past expiration. When I returned to exchange it, there were SEVERAL other packages also expired.I will not shop there again.
