A little disappointed in this location. I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday and was very unhappy with what I received… I feel like my daughter could have made a neater cake… the frosting was fluorescent pink and crooked… the back of the cake was even worse- pink icing oozing out the back. I wish I spoke up and refused to purchase the cake when I saw it… instead I tried to make it work and all of the party guests refused to eat it 🥴 the cakes in the bakery display are always so pretty- it’s shocking that this cake comes from the same place. This should not be acceptable for any bakery.

We are visiting the Newport Beach area and needed to buy some groceries.My daughter-in-law wanted to go to her favorite store Pavilions. Once Inside I could see why it was her favorite store. We all ordered Breakfast Burritos and a few different types of sandwiches.they make it right there in front of you and it tasted amazing. There was a large selection of every item. The store was clean, well-let and very well displayed. All the staff we encountered were great. You may think, “well a store like that is too expensive to shop at.” Its not, prices are very reasonable. If you haven’t shopped her yet, when you do it will probably become one of your favorite places to shop too. ENJOY!!

This Pavilions is our favorite grocery store. It’s merchandised well and it’s easy to find what you need.The prepared food is diverse with many options. The pastries are amazing with incredible cakes, donuts, cookies, and more.The produce section is robust with fresh apples, oranges, blueberries and pre-cut food bowls and Creative salads. We love the spinach and strawberry salad and often take it to parties.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We also enjoy the Pier cafe for sitting with friendsHats off to a grocery store that we look forward to visiting.

I have visited the store on August 4 of 2019 for an online pick up order. The process is completed and efficient I didn’t need a full view them as the orders with they are prepared each customer Is scattered around different boxes of the staff have to look for them as we are waiting for a pick up. I believe each customer order should be organized and well put together so Apple arrival is ready to go no the people at the beer café have to search around all the different baskets.I believe the management team need to return that associates or to come up with a new solution or a new process to resolve this matter as this is very frustrating for clientsEmployees are working very hard to serve us. I just wish the corporate office come up with a better process rather than throwing the employees under the bus as they are doing right now without Africa process to van employees has been almost 5 months since the pandemic started yet for any corporation to come up with the process#MOODY360TV

Theyve recently updated the store and they now have a better selection of meat, seafood (including from Santa Monica Seafood), cheese, flower arrangements, etc. The store is very clean, parking is easy, the employees are all pleasant, and prices for most items are reasonable; just make sure to have your Vons card with you which will give you access to the lower prices. The live-playing piano is a nice touch!

Pavilions & Vons are the same grocery stores here in Southern California. Once I was an excellent employee at both of this two markets for almost 10 years. And it always feels great to help those who ask for your assistance - it gives you great satisfaction at the end of the day.

There are 2 Pavilions in Newport Coast, one at the top of the hill (this location) and one at the bottom of the hill (on San Miguel). I think the one on San Miguel might be a bit better. This location has more variety of exotic fruits, feels a bit more spacious and clean but fresh produce isnt as, fresh, along with other things. Even brand-name pepperoni, known to be packed with a lot of preservatives, had mold growing in all the packages - even though they were not past the expiration date. Prices are also a bit higher.

The best wine and spirits dept of all the local markets. Manager Laura Spino is a level 2 sommelier and can gives great advice and service. She will take a pre-order from you for double discount weekend, arrange deliveries and concierge service and point out great wines and values. This place is one of the best local shops for getting groceries aside from the obvious Whole Foods and Sprouts. I like the selection here and the staff and generally really pleasant. Always a smile which seems to be rare these days! When it comes to prices, they are more than reasonable.. I would give them 5 stars, but I think Ill reserve 5s for the very best reviews, otherwise its kinda pointless. I think theyd be a 4.5 if that was an option. Food here always tastes great.... (or maybe thats just because I am a good cook!!) :)

This market has adapted over and over the past 20 years to meet the interests and tastes of Newport Coast. Its a beautiful store, well-stocked with excellent produce, including a large organic selection. Youll also find a juice bar and Starbucks, large wine selection, deli and sushi bar in addition to an excellent selection of high quality meat and a wonderful bakery. The pharmacy is second to none, with a friendly staff of pharmacists who are knowledgeable and kind. Nice florist inside and large selection of holiday treats and decor. Awesome store.

If only I can rate the employee from this store with zero star. That was not the first time I encounter the lady from the FLORAL DEPARTMENT who always talks to me rudely. Everytime I buy flowers and ask her something, she will just answer you “ WHATEVER YOU SEE HERE, THAT’S IT!” And will just leave you. If that lady is not happy with her job, she better quit. Doesn’t know good customer service. I’m sorry to say but that lady was the one who can‘t barely walk and move really slow.

This has been my home grocery store for 14 years now. They remodeled it a year or two ago and made some very nice changes. The cheese and meat selection is great. Their wine and spirits are plentiful and they have some great options in the bakery. Most importantly the Coors is always cold and they have a nice little sushi selection.

Wow! Definitely a Pavilions designed with the rich and maybe famous in mind. I just stopped by for the restrooms and Starbucks but I walked around the store which is ginormous (is that really a word?). It seemed somewhat ironic to me that the Starbucks was pretty small and under staffed compared to the one in our local Pavilions.I didnt shop or compare grocery items but the prices at Starbucks were the same as other in store locations.

If I could give zero stars that would satisfy this review. We just got into town and needed a few things. One of the employees yelled over 5 aisles to me “Lady! Lady! We are closing in a few minutes!” When I realized he was talking to me I said okay got it. It made trying to find what I needed very frustrating as I heard him hollering at my son next who was grabbing something from another aisle. Check out was worse. The cashier had no personality she was obviously clocked out mentally as she basically chugged the receipt towards my husband. Trying to walk out and the doors were locked. The same gentleman who was hollering at me named Alex said “Don’t touch it! Yes we closed it right when we closed” to remind us we were taking up their time. I replied “excuse me?” For him to clarify his tone and what he is really trying to say. He somewhat retracted his attitude and said he will unlock it and that he locked it right at closing. No thank you or good night from him. He was obviously irritated with us. I am disappointed in the level of service of this store. It is clean to say the least. I regret that we own at a resort near by. From now on, we will drive further to avoid this location. For reference our receipt says our cashier was Fareed.

A very nice grocery store in the area. Obviously a chain, but it is well kept and managed and very nice to get around inside and outside. Ample parking but sometimes can be crowded during rush times. The selections are ample. Some items you would only find at specialty places so great options if you are looking for exotic items usually found at specialty stores. It is a part of one of the larger grocery store chains, so under the covers it is not independently run but a part of the usual suspects. None the less a good place and good service.

Nice store, very clean, great deli and bakery. Excellent produce. Nice brand selection with upscale as well as regular brands. Was very happy to find a lot of Tillamook products. Terrific and friendly staff. The closest full supermarket to the Marriott Newport Coast Villas, very convenient. accepts Safeway club cards as well as their own, or let them know you are a Marriott member for the club pricing.

Ive been a customer for almost 20 years and know this store like the back of my hand. Overall, 5 stars but with some improvement needed. Some reviews say it is pricey, and I cant disagree except that it has good deals if you know where to look. The produce can get a little expensive but not outrageously so. Same with the seafood. (Although Im puzzled at the strategy of pricing some seafood per piece rather than per pound, an unfortunate inconsistency.) The cheese display is great to have, convenient, and well stocked, but prices can very greatly compared Trader Joes down the street. The bakery can be disappointing, and tends to run out of rustic baguettes, leaving only their light $1.99 selections. But, it has a remarkable variety of choices in bread and cakes, pies, & cookies. I think too much store space is devoted to floral but the size of the store is more than adequate to accommodate. The dairy section always has what I need at reasonable prices. The pharmacy is great, and super convenient. This store has a huge selection of reasonably priced frozen foods including so many pizzas that I have never sampled a fraction of them. Ice cream selection is good, not as big as Gelsons but priced far better. Wine can be a little expensive but sale prices are very good. (Kudos to Laura Spino in catering, who deserves credit for her top-notch service. She recently catered a well-priced, Covid-safe event for 85 people.) I think this store does an excellent job of providing more than enough selection of high quality items, while also keeping prices within a middle-class budget.

This store has a great selection of food and other products. We stayed at the Crystal Cove Cottages and came shopping here for supplies. Nice grocery store with high end foods, sauces, wine, beer, liquor, meats with coatings and marinades as well as fresh cuts and seafood. The vegetables and fruits are all excellent. They had shoppers to aid you as well as a pickup service before covid and I believe that is still available. You get the feeling that customers pick up food daily for their next meal not stocking up to feed a family. But the choices are great even if the prices are a bit higher than their associated retailer Safeway. And I have never found expired or spoiled items in this store. So, I highly recommend it.

As someone who lives in Florida and is used to Publix, I dont say this lightly: Pavilions is even better. Excellent choices, great bakery and very helpful staff. The only supermarket I have ever been to that I would rank higher is Wegmans but this is a clean store with great fresh food and nice people assisting you.

Makes you feel like you are rich and can afford this Uber expensive place until you look at the price tag. Then your eyes roll and you start googling grocery stores that don’t charge an arm and leg for a pound of apples and bananas. Pavilions has always been special. This one, on top of Newport Coast, is somewhat in another galaxy. I could not find a special beer in the case in front of me, until I noticed that Beer was the entire wall, many cases. I grabbed what I needed and kept shopping. But there was enough beer to write a thesis on that alone. And this is true for produce, meat, spices, packaged goods...

This pavilions offers the standard pavilions experience but with the addition of fresh cooked pizza, poke, teriyaki, and ramen.The Ramen was AWFUL. It was basically chicken noodle soup. Vons Pavillions are my favorite of big box stores. The store in Laguna Beach is so nice and the employees seem to live where they work and while shopping the store manager even came up to say hi. We have been loyal customers to pavilions, Newport coast for many years. In the last year, the produce department has mediocre fruits and vegetables. For the last few interactions with the produce workers, I have asked about their summer fruits, ie peaches and nectarines, like which ones are really good for the week. And the response with all the produce guys are the same. They’re all good, No interaction and no help. The organic lettuces are also mediocre. Just want to bring it to someone’s attention to get some appropriate help in the produce department.

Hmmm... my Visits to Pavilions is just that, a quick, unplanned stop in hopes of finding what I need from the produce section or other items that I didnt already pick up at another grocery store.I dot usually shop Pavilions as they are a high priced store where you can easily find the SAME food items at Stater Bros. Or another less expensive, non club store.Newport Coast Pavilions is not just my opinion, a very disorganized and dirty store, but the customer service is very underscored in my expirence there.The remodel was way too long and then to stop short, for Im assuming lack of funds...they replace the chek out area with the cheapest, lowest grade lenolium tiles, white in color as a matter of fact.Its a very distasteful flooring t I say the least.The only changes u have seen that are for a moment, noticed, is when the Big Bosses come to visit store. Everything and everyone is hoping and shiny.Long Story short.. I Welcome A RESPONCE from anyone from Pavilions Corporate.As the saying goes...everything that glitters is not gold....

I just bought 1 bottle of water. it took about 15 minutes, mainly because the cashier had to have a conversation about every step:- what did you put your fingers on the pinpad for?- did you put your fingers on the pinpad to enter your club number?- do you have a club number?- why arent you interested in a club card?- why dont you want a club card?
