Paul Weir is absolutely a Five Star Realtor. He has all of the qualities to excel. I learned of him by word of mouth, which has always been the most reliable reference in my experience. 5 stars from the people who told me about Paul as well.I liked Paul right away when I met him, he is kind an personable, and explains the complex details of a real estate transaction step by step with great patience. He is also very well connected to the community and can help figure out where to go for the many services needed in a real estate deal.I had the chance to test Pauls super powers because my property deal became unnecessarily complicated, through no fault of my own or Pauls.In a nutshell, my divorce was tied up in the court and the bank fumbled clumsily through coordinating the two loans needed for the transaction. We are talking weeks of paperwork and phone calls just to check an insignificant box on some form. It was so bad.I felt like Pauls work ethic was similar to my own. Get the job done! Even when he was with his wife on vacation during my painfully drawn out transactions with the lender, he was there for me by phone to remind me of steps to take and who to call all the way.All the while I was so grateful to have Paul on my team! He gave suggestions and references and patiently waited for me to do my part. He understood my personal style which is a little non-standard (used, funky, fixer upper) helped me incorporate my strengths while using other peoples resources when appropriate.He knew which things to rush and which could wait a bit.Last but not least, although Pauls skill and experience are top notch in the field, what I appreciated the most was his team spirit and good work ethic. That guy is there for you all the way and as a bonus, he is really fun to hang out with.If it wasnt for Paul, I bet I would still be couch surfing and struggling the way I was before I met him. Instead I live in my new house, which fits my budget and my particular requirements like a glove.

My sister and I had the task of helping our elderly aunt sell her home in Grass Valley, CA. Since we are both from other states, this made it much more challenging. Paul Weir with RE/MAX came highly recommended to us, so he was the only call we made. Paul was very understanding of our limited time out in California and gladly met with us when we requested. During our first and only in-person meeting, we walked through the home, and Paul had simple suggestions for making the home more appealing to the buyers and had comps ready for a suggested asking price. From that point on, he made all the arrangements for getting the home ready for listing and kept us updated every step of the way with emails, text messages, and pictures. Paul even went the extra mile and planted much-needed fresh plants in a planter along the front walkway of the home. It was a huge improvement to the curb appeal. Paul saw to it that the listing was inviting and had other local realtors in to get the word out. The close communication continued throughout the open houses and individual showings of the home, complete with feedback. Because the home needed quite a bit of updating, we felt fortunate to get the perfect buyers in less than two months time. Paul walked us through all the specifics with the closing process and made it SO quick and easy for us. My sister and I feel very fortunate to have had Paul as our trusted ally and partner through this challenging home selling process. He truly made it the best experience! Paul Weir is an exemplary realtor who goes above and beyond in service to his client. He worked congenially with me and my carpenter, was informative and receptive in all of our communications, and answered questions in a timely manner. He also facilitated easy negotiations with clients, finance and title companies. As well, he has followed up in terms of friendly support to the next steps in my life. We had a wonderful experience working with Paul. I can’t say enough great things about him!We looked for a house for over two years and the entire time Paul made us feel like we were his only clients. He answered hundreds of questions, looked at dozens of properties with us, and when we finally found the house we wanted he made it happen even when five other offers were on the table. Paul came as a highly recommended from a friend. He spent over a year looking at property with us - the entire time he made it an enjoyable and fun experience. Our interest was property that would be good agriculture land for our homestead. Paul showed up with soil reports, topographic maps and with his incredible knowledge of the landscape. He perfectly balanced listening to our needs and wants but also asking valuable questions along the way, to slow us down and determine which property was the right one. Every chance I get I jump to recommend Paul to people needing a realtor and would do the same for you if we struck up a conversation. Update - we used Paul again to sell a property during the COVID-19 upheaval and without hesitation or delay Paul was on top of every aspect of selling our home and even had strategies lined out preemptively as the RE market was changing on a daily basis as the world changed to the growing concern of the virus. Paul went above and beyond and I believe this is why we had multiple offers right away above asking price. Truly, if I could give Paul 10 stars for a rating I would!

Paul did an incredible job in selling our house. Paul is the consummate professional. He is very knowledgeable, organized and sincere, with a great, positive, can-do attitude. He is also one of the hardest workers you will ever encounter, always willing to do whatever is necessary to support his clients through the process. He returned our calls and texts immediately and was available to talk 24/7.To begin, Paul completed a very comprehensive market analysis which was instrumental in the pricing of our house. He critically assessed our house and made a number of helpful suggestions to best prepare the house for sale, and avoid spending time and money on non-critical items.Paul coordinated a tour of our house with seven other real estate agents which provided very valuable input regarding pricing and presentation.Paul is very proactive. He strongly encouraged that we obtain all inspections and clearances prior to going to market. I happily recommend Paul Weir for your Real Estate needs. There is no one more personable and upbeat to walk you through the process and all the while, steering you in the direction of that happy ending. Paul is an amazing resource for our local area, knowledgeable about things that probably wouldnt cross your mind as a Buyer. If its a soil, water salt content, climate or agriculture issue, Paul knows the answer before you even know the question. Being thorough, careful professionals ourselves, we interviewed two other possible candidates and then decided we’d like to work with Paul. We are so glad we did!Paul Weir was an attentive, caring coach during the entire process of preparing, listing and selling our beloved home. He was attentive every step of the way including checking in with us about how we were feeling – knowing that this was an emotional time for us. He recommended having all the home inspections ahead of listing the house and making any necessary improvements before potential buyers stepped in the door. He recommended several workers who promptly came and made the corrections. Not sure where to start but i can say this, Paul is an extraordinary realtor. His knowledge about the local area is tremendous. When we made a decision to buy our home, i have to say 70 percent of that decision was based off what Paul brought to the table. He not only showed us different homes, but he gave us knowledge on what was around us, different links for the area, from where to eat, kids schools, nurseries for my passion as a gardener, local places for entertainment, the history of the city, this guy is loaded with information. Best realtor in town!I contacted Paul when my husband and I decided to start looking to return to Nevada County. He stayed on the phone with me for 45 minutes discussing our return to the area and the intricacies of the housing market. We met Paul about two years ago when looking at a property in the Grass Valley area. From the moment we met him, we knew that he was the Realtor that would help us find the right place for us. I recently moved from Arizona back to California to buy a home with my youngest daughter and her husband. Having dabbled in real estate for over 40 years with my real estate licenses in CA and AZ, I can attest to the fact that I know a good real estate agent when I meet one. Paul Weir is not only a good real estate agent, he is an exceptionally excellent real estate agent! He was instrumental in procuring a beautiful property for my eldest daughter and son-in-law a couple of years ago. Paul recommended the right loan officer, beforehand, to help in approving my daughter & son-in-law’s loan so that their offer was ready when the right property came up. Before my daughter and her husband found Paul Weir, they had a terrible experience with another loan company that took months and still was not able figure out how to approve a loan for them. Needless to say, my daughter and her husband are now enjoying the peace and serenity of their dream property, thanks to Paul Weir for going the extra mile to find the help that they needed.My youngest daughter and son-in-law just recently purchased a home with me through Paul Weir. I strongly recommend Paul. Without his extraordinary expertise and hard work, we would never have succeeded in purchasing our dream home in Grass Valley.Within days of seeing the listing, we were making an offer on the property. Problem was, so was someone else, the first of many seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Pauls outstanding reputation and negotiating skills convinced the other broker to push our offer to the front of the line. Ill never forget arriving at the property a few of days later for the inspections. A fleet of trucks was parked in the driveway, and Paul was directing a swarm of the areas best contractors, roofers, plumbers, well, and septic experts he had quickly assembled to determine the extent of the serious dry rot and plumbing issues. Issues so extreme they had caused the property to fall out of a previous escrow, and were causing me to doubt whether it was wise to proceed. Armed with detailed (and as it turns out, accurate) information about the $$ necessary to perform the repairs, Paul returned to the table to negotiate a significant price reduction and close the deal.Paul was there for us every step of the way. Energetic and enthusiastic, he has a no-pressure, consultative style. He listens carefully, and truly cares about his customers. I felt I could trust him completely when making this huge financial decision. I have since used the many resources and bids he obtained to have the repairs completed. Even though the deal is done and he has nothing more to gain, Paul continues to be incredibly helpful, responsive and a friendly resource for any questions I have. A couple of years ago we purchased a home and property with Pauls help in the Chicago Park area. To say his professionalism, integrity, and knowledge are outstanding is an understatement. Paul Weir at RE/MAX in Grass Valley was an incredible realtor for selling my Dads house. Paul helped us at every level from the listing to the close. With Covid-19, things were a bit more complicated. Paul was on top of explaining and implementing all the Covid safety requirements. He supplied us with easy to understand and very detailed market research to help us with the listing price. You see, we moved our 94 year old Dad to Santa Cruz and his house was vacant for one year before we finally picked Paul to list it. It was the best decision we could have made. My Dad and his wife had a lifetime of stuff packed into their house. The house was clean but did not show well. Paul shared his network of contractors, tradesmen, gardeners, cleaners, haulers, inspectors, etc... All of them were available, a good value and a positive experience. Paul and his Re/max team did a beautiful job of staging the house. We had two offers a few weeks after the listing. We picked the better offer and the house closed in 30 days! I normally do not write reviews but Paul was so over the top, I just had to spread the word. Paul has many great qualities- Integrity, Excellent communication skills, Boundless energy, Attention to detail, and Much knowledge of the Real-estate market. I give Paul my highest recommendation. Honestly, he is the best real estate agent I have ever worked with. Paul is extremely thorough, thoughtful, hard-working and detail oriented. He was constantly anticipating the next step and came up with solutions to potential problems, many of which never materialized. He went over and beyond the typical activities of a real estate agent, giving me numerous recommendations, accompanying me to various stores to look for items for my house, meeting workmen at my house and brainstorming various ideas for things to do to my property. PLEASE READ. IT’S A BIT LONG, BUT WORTH TAKING THE TIME. Paul Weir sold my Grass Valley home on 5 aces in June 2017. This was the house I custom built with my late wife, the place we were going to live after I retired. Life has a way of rearranging the best-laid plans. The decision to sell was not easy, and Paul understood and guided me gently (and relentlessly) with kindness, wit, and humor from beginning to end. There are not enough compliments I can say about the work he did and the relationship we developed that is an integral part of his personality and hard working business ethic. Paul worked tirelessly to help me get the house ready with his ongoing excellent advice on what needed to be done to get top dollar. I admit there were times when I wanted to scream “More???” In the end, it was worth much more than the effort I expended. I cannot emphasize enough how Paul is unlike any other realtor out there! He truly cares about his clients and will generously give his time to make sure the process is as stress free as possible. I had called another local office and they wouldnt even meet with me until I got pre-approved and I just really didnt get a great vibe from them. On a recommendation, I called Paul and he immediately set up a meeting that lasted over two hours without any pressure to buy anything. Throughout the process, he freely offered insight and contacts of his which made things much easier for me. After we closed, he insisted on taking out my mom and me to lunch to celebrate. I have had a lot of experiences with realtors, and Paul is by far the best realtor I have worked with. He is extremely knowledgeable of the whole process, the market, the different types of properties, and the people. He even has a deep knowledge of trees and soil!I was blown away by how organized and on top of the whole process he was. Boy did we luck out using Paul Weir. The house we bought had 6 offers in 2 days. He put together a great offer which was accepted. We had 12 days for inspection and he had the team to get it all done. His team of inspectors all seemed top notch and found additional problems not noted. Paul is a super Relator and person. He helped in so many ways to get my wifes deceased fathers house sold. It was in very rough shape with years of neglect. Paul put us in touch with the right people to do the repairs and maintenance to make the property sellable. He also made himself available to meet workers, inspectors, repairmen, and buyers of the household items on the property. This was super helpful since we live out of the area. Paul went above and beyond what a normal relator would have. He provided physical labor at times when my wife and I were doing landscaping, provided hoses and sprinklers to water. Ive both bought a home and sold one with Paul and hands down the most detail-oriented, attentive and caring realtor I could have asked for. When looking for a home, he helped us find anything and everything that might fit the bill - but not only that, he would bring all the extras you could want to know about a place - soil reports, water rights, history to help us make the right decision (and we looked at a LOT). When we finally found our place he made sure everything was to the T inspected, correct and accounted for.When it came time to sell our place, the phrase above and beyond hardly does it justice for how taken care of we were in the whole process. He helped us with everything we needed. He had top-notch photographers and videographers who made the place look excellent. He made sure the marketing and buyers experience was first class. He helped us write descriptions and provided opportunities in the marketing/listing for us to share what was so unique about our home. A home sold by him means its been gone over with a fine tooth comb and gets the Nordstrom treatment no matter the price point.We sold our place for above-asking price on the first day, sight unseen during the early days of the COVID lockdowns. Trying to sell our beautiful mountain home from Texas was a headache but boy did we luck out with Paul Weir! He is affable, humorous and honest. We had interviewed two agents, one of whom brags about being the top lister for the area but I sensed she lists low. Sure enough, Paul got us $65,000 more than she was willing to list for. In spite of the covid onslaught, we were happy with the quick sale and final number.Wed had agents in the past who planted their signs and retreated to their air conditioned offices. Not Paul. When he couldnt find a landscaper fast enough, he cut weeds and pruned bushes! He found maintenance men and supervised repairs. He visited the house prior to showings, sweeping the deck, placing flowers and chocs and covid cleaning. He always texted a lengthy evaluation of how it went.One of the local agents whod wanted the listing told me - You chose the best of the best - which I thought was nice of him.When Paul got the listing he said Ill give you quality service - Im like Nordstrom Hes wrong about that - Definitely Neiman Marcus !
