I highly recommend this place of excellence and personalized care. They make sure you’re comfortable and taken care of all the time. I got my LASIK eye correcting surgery two days ago and it’s miraculous how I got my 20/20 vision back which I had 25 years ago. It’s such a huge life upgrade. Thank you Paul and your team for excellent work. I’m Super grateful!

All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. At the end of the testing I met with the doctors, who confirmed I have cataracts. I was explained the three options. However, I got the impression, both the doctors and the assistant at the end of my visit assumed I was having the surgery. Which I was not ready for and needed to think about. I explained I had just ordered a pair of new prescription glasses and wanted to see if they corrected my vision without surgery.

Staff was extremely nice and Dr. Dougherty is very thorough with his consultations and gave me my proper time to explain my eye scans and even retook pictures for a better view. Wait time was longer than expected but seems he is very busy and highly referred.

Two cataract surgeries within two weeks and it was wonderful! I can see with corrected lenses and it was such a smooth healing process. The staff and surgical team were wonderful and caring! I am sure this a good place and a great doctor but I did not have a pleasant experience. I was referred to this office for a 15 minute consultation. I was there at exactly 3 PM. It was almost an hour before I was called in .I was put in different rooms for a check up and testing. The doctor did not see me not until around 5:10 PM for less than 10 minutes. I even tried to call the front desk from my cell phone, inside the consultation room, after 5 pm to . Make sure that they have not forgotten me but nobody answered the phone so I left a message. I am posting this review just to make them aware about my experience which was not acceptable. Thank you.

Dr. Dougherty and his entire staff are extremely professional as well as warm and welcoming. I felt my experience with them was very thorough and efficient, they would answer my questions before I even knew I had them. The actual procedure went smoothly and everyone tried to keep me as comfortable as possible the entire time. Im writing this review from work the very next day! I literally had the surgery last night and Im already very happy with the results =)

I love my new vision. It is such a huge quality of life improvement from contact lenses that were constantly irritating my eyes. i got the SMILE procedure done and I am very happy that I choose this procedure. I vision is spot on and the healing process was not that bad. Dr Dougherty was very thorough in explaining the procedure and the staff was very warm and welcoming. This practice is super friendly and accommodating. I had to reschedule my appointment with them many times due to my work schedule changing and they never had an issue rescheduling me and they were always pleasant. Thanks to Dr. Dougherty I have 20/20 vision after 2 decades of glasses and contacts. He has given me such a wonderful gift to be able to not depend on anything for perfect vision. I wake up and I can see, I used to worry in an emergency I would not be able to locate my glasses, not anymore. Besides great vision, Dr. Dougherty and his team were extremely thorough and double checked all their testing to decide what procedure was best for me, after all that they decided that ICL surgery would be the best option for me. My optometrist who is also a family friend, sent me to Dr. Dougherty 10 years ago for Lasik surgery saying that he felt strongly that Dr. Dougherty had the most experience and success with Lasik. My surgery was extremely successful. Recently, I needed a lens replacement surgery so I went back to Dr. Dougherty because I trust him to take excellent care of my eyes. His staff is very professional, kind and energetic in helping their patients through the process of consultation and surgery. Dr. Dougherty takes his time to explain all the pros and cons of the types of treatment available and to recommend what would be most fitting and cost effective for each person. My experience this time was just as pleasant as the first time. I had no anxiety or pain, I was treated with care by everyone in office and given great instructions for self care during recuperation. Dr. Dougherty called me personally at home to ask me how I was recuperating and to make sure I had no questions or concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Dougherty to my family and friends as well.

I have been referring patients to Paul Dougherty, MD for over 20 years, and today I became a patient again; in the past, Dr. Dougherty had performed cataract surgery on my wife and I. My experience at Dougherty Laser Vision was outstanding. The office staff was helpful from the moment that my wife (who was also seen as a patient) and I walked in to the office. The wait time was under 10 minutes. The time spent in the exam room with a staff doctor, before Dr. Dougherty came in, was appropriate for the pre-testing exam. Then Dr. Dougherty came in to the exam room in about 5 minutes and spent a long time with a thorough eye exam for the both of us. We did not feel rushed and Dr. Dougherty answered all of our questions and concerns. After over 50 years in practice as an optometrist, I highly recommend Dr. Dougherty to my patients and my family members. He and his staff are absolutely the best for your medical vision care needs.

Dr Dougherty came highly recommended and we were excited to be seen. I am sure he does great work. My issue was that his business practice just doesn’t work for me and how I wish to be treated by a physician who is possibly going to cut my eye.Office was nice. Front office staff was warm and friendly. Once I went to the back it felt chaotic, in a small exam room with other patients and techs, switching chairs with other patients for the different machines. Then we were moved to an exam room for the tech to enter all the paper chart info into the computer. She was nice and professional. Strange that she just listened to my needs, put on 3, 2 minute videos on the iPad for us to watch while she bounced in and out after each video. Then we were moved to another room that felt as big as a closet and waited for the Dr. He came in, quick into....spoke quickly and made both my husband and I feel rushed, as if he just needed to hustle to the next person. A gal came in the “closet” in the middle of our talk...never introduced....we didn’t know what she was there for, until at the end the Dr. said “she can talk to you about options.” The. We we take. To ANOTHER room with her and she said to get a further consultation it would cost $200. At this point we were done. Felt like cattle.

Dr. Dougherty is my HERO!! My first experience with Dr. Dougherty was in 2004 when he performed Lasik surgery and for the first time since 4th grade I didnt have to wear glasses! It was a great experience and I have had no issues since. Then my eye was injured at a company picnic and it was the most painful experience I ever had. When I arrived at Dougherty Laser Vision the front desk staff was amazing, they make you feel so welcome and the office is so nice. When Dr. Dougherty examined my eye I knew I was in good hands. I have now been going there for over a month and when I walk in they all know me by name. They have turned a not so good circumstance into a pleasurable experience. I had LASIK surgery performed by Dr. Dougherty two weeks ago and the results are stunning! I can see perfectly clearly now without any glasses! I had wanted to get LASIK for a couple years, but hadnt had it done yet. I read really good things about Dr. Dougherty and went get a consultation with him. I didnt want to just go to anybody since eyes are not something I wanted to get the budget version of the service. Cheap store brand detergent, sure. LASIK eye surgery, I want the best. Dr. Dougherty has done over 25,000 eye surgeries which makes him one of the most experienced laser eye surgeons in the world. It made me feel much better knowing he has done this that many times with such high success rate.During my consultation I felt 100% confident trusting that Dr. Dougherty was taking good care of me. He was confident and personable and spent as much time as I wanted answering my questions and explaining how the surgery would go, the vision correction I should expect, any associated risks, and what to expect for recovery.I had the surgery and I could see clearly that very same day! And since then in the two weeks my vision continued to improve. I can see so clearly now it amazes me! Dr. Dougherty even called to personally check on me later in the day after my surgery, which was a very pleasant surprise. Dr. Dougherty and his team provide a world class experience and give one of the best services out there in my opinion. The ability to see clearly again after years of needing glasses is life changing!

Dr. Dougherty and his staff were professional and personable. I am an optometrist and so is my wife. This past week she had custom all laser lasik surgery with Dr. Dougherty. He was very accommodating to her work schedule so he extended his hours just to do her surgery. My wife and I see post op lasik and cataract surgeries on a daily basis. We wanted to choose only the best. Dr. Dougherty is truly the doctors doctor. My wife had the surgery at 7 pm and was back at work the next day, talking to her patients about last nights surgery! The thing that we werent expecting is that her vision post surgery is actually better than with her contacts and glasses pre surgery. From someone who was very fearful about the idea of having anything done to my pupil “flap” let me tell you, I am so thrilled I finally went through with it. Everyday it gets sharper. Immediate 20/20 and almost no downtime for Visian lens implants. Professional, Southern-like hospitality, and truly caring staff and surgeon. I cant say enough, except that everything happens for a reason and Im glad we waited for Dr. D. No way Im taking chances with anyone else.
