Warm, friendly team and excellent care for my husband and for me, almost 20 years now. We had our teeth cleaned today. Its good to see Reuben and benefit from his gentle, efficient work. Miguel cleaned my husbands teeth today. He and commented when we got back in the car afterwards, that he was impressed w/ Miguels techniques and the same gentle, attentive care that Miguel showed me in the past too. Some front office staff are new. All are welcoming. Thankful to have Dr. Shepherd as our family dentist all these years. Id add that he has saved us money, over the years, b/c he does not push extra treatments and has found ways to preserve crowns and fix problems without great expense.

Shortly after arriving in Palm Springs, for a month’s vacation, I started to develop a tooth ache. I managed it for about 5 days but in the end had to seek out emergency treatment at The Palm Springs Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. I called on a Monday afternoon and was in Dr.Tom’s dental chair by 9 AM Tuesday morning. X-rays were taken and Dr. Tom quickly diagnosed what the problem was. Despite other patients needing his attention he took the time to carefully explain in great detail what my options were and advised me to take 24 hours to decide what I wanted to do. I elected to have the tooth extracted immediately and the area prepped for a future tooth implant (which my own dentist later confirmed was the right choice). I left the clinic 2 hours later, tooth gone, bone graft material in place and armed with a prescription for 10 days of antibiotics.The next day, Melissa, Dr. Tom’s assistant, contacted me to see how I was doing and if I needed anything.Throughout the surgery and subsequent recovery I experienced very minor discomfort which I believe was a testament to Dr. Tom’s skill.A month has now passed and the area concerned has completely healed.Five stars from me, with gratitude, for the outstanding care and service I received from Dr.Tom and his team.Gregory M

Dr. Scott Shepherd and his staff were amazing! Extremely thorough and very caring and compassionate. I’ve never had a dentist spend so much time explaining everything on my X-rays and imaging like he did. I’ll be back!

It’s tough to find a dentist when you’re new to Palm Springs. This one is a THE ONE for me. I went to another dental office in town and walked out before the appointment. Just didn’t feel confident they would provide the care and professionalism I wanted. PS Family/Cosmetic were reassuring on the phone and, at my appointment, they proved to be quick, high quality and communicated throughout to manage my expectations. I highly recommend this dentist.

Extremely friendly and accomodating front desk staff, explained things very well and were patient with my questions. Dr. Shepherd has excellent communication skills, an important attribute in a dental office and seemingly rare these days with docs and dentists etc. He took his time in explaining my situation and courses of action. Hygenist Steve was professional and highly skilled, he did a great job as well. Overall, my first visit and I was impressed.

I had my first visit at Palm Springs Family Dentistry today. The staff was friendly and provided outstanding service. Steven did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. I highly recommend this group for all your dental care.

This dental practice is the finest in the desert in my opinion, which has been informed by by decades of every type of dental work possible, from childhood into seniority. The entire staff treats you like family -- its just such a welcoming atmosphere. The dental techs are excellent and caring. The dentists are the best and, like their staff, are highly professional and caring, the very best in the business! I feel known there and experiencing their care is always a pleasure. I unreservedly recommend them.

I can’t believe I’m going to say I had an awesome visit to the dentist but there you go…I wish I could take the practice home with me. I’m visiting, was experiencing really bad dental pain and reached out to them. They were able to fit me in but that’s not what stood out to me most (as wonderful as that was). What I got when I arrived was really nice, thorough, helpful, thoughtful, intelligent care. They diagnosed my problem (an infection in the root) and offered me immediate help (antibiotics) along with other options I could take right away or when I returned home. Everyone, from those working the front desk, to the dental assistant to the Dr. was personable, sympathetic and helpful. Thanks to them I think I’ll feel better quickly and enjoy the rest of my vacation. I’ll likely need to have more done in the near future. As I said, I wish I had this practice in my home town. They’re great.

After loving your dentist for 30 years, it is daunting to try a new dentistry service. Palm Springs Dentistry was a wonderful and comforting experience. I had an emergency - The team was responsive and arranged an appointment for me on the same day within hours of my call for help. The experience was a complete success and such a relief to know that this awesome team exists in Palm Springs. Thank you so much.
