Update: I believe Dr. Guzak has passed away. May he rest in peace.Previous review:I hope to revise this review upon resolution of my predicament, but something is amiss. Dr. Guzak has seemingly disappeared. Ive been waiting for a replacement crown for weeks. The temporary crown is long gone.Ive been calling for days, no answer, VM is full.I happened to pass by there today and I did not see Dr. Guzaks black SUV. I was in a hurry, so I didnt stop.I hope nobody has fallen ill or anything. (??)Tomorrow I will seek a new dentist who can create a new crown from the stump I have in my mouth now.Of course I have already paid out of pocket for my crown.This situation is very disconcerting.

About 5-6 weeks ago, I had a dental emergency and they were able to get me in right away. The same day, I drove over an hour to their office where I was prepped for a crown and was required to pay for the entire procedure up-front. They gave me a temporary crown and assured me that the permanent would arrive in 2 weeks and that they would give me a call. 2 weeks pass with no call, so I called them and the receptionist said that she needed to check its location and that she would call me back. Again, no call back. On the third week I called multiple times a day and no one answered the phone. Week after week, the same thing was happening. I live over an hour away so I couldn’t drive there and potentially no one be in the office. Frustrated with the temporary tooth now being completely loose, I read through their most recent reviews on Yelp. Someone left a review less than a week ago with the EXACT same situation happening to them. They said it seems that the dentist has abandoned his practice, leaving patients left untreated and staff left unpaid. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have the money to move on to another office to finish my procedure. I can’t get ahold of anyone to try and get a refund so I really don’t know what to do. This is so absolutely unprofessional and doesn’t feel legal.

My care was always good but recently it was clear that there might be problems. Have temporary cap for over three months and the practice is closed. The photo I’m posting is at their door. 10/10/23. The work provided by Dr. Jorgensen and his staff was exceptional. Their understanding of the situation with regard to this unfortunate situation was evident. I’m grateful.

I called Palm Springs Dentistry with a dental emergency and they were able to see me the next day even though I had no history with them. What a relief. The doctor was able to identify my problem, do some adjustments, prescribe an antibiotic, and put on a temporary crown. When the permanent crown came in, I braced myself for the same disappointment Ive had for 40 years. It would be longer, thicker, whiter than my other teeth. The crown that Dr. Guzak selected and fitted for me is the best cosmetic look Ive had in 40 years. It perfectly matches my real teeth. What a fantastic outcome to a bad situation !!

I had an appointment at 2:00. I didn’t have to wait. The hygienist was new and introduced herself as Gracie. She was very efficient and knew her job well. I commented on how gentle she was while she did my cleaning. Sarah, the receptionist, was very polite and cheerful. I was very happy with the services I received and look forward to my next visit.

They had me pay upfront and charged much more than Delta Dental would allow. They would not reimburse the difference. Also the x-rays that they took were not readable, and I had to pay for an additional set. Their equipment was old and not in the best working order.

Final Update: In the first week of March, finally received a cashiers check refund. This occurred after I filed a grievance with Delta Dental who then provided the practice with the amount they needed to refund. I am 100% convinced I received this refund only due to the intervention from the Delta Dental response to the case. I continue to stand by my warning that there is more smoke than fire at this practice; buyer beware. I thank Delta Dental and will be a longtime loyal customer. Update Feb 27, 2022 after response from practice: So why have you still not refunded my money? Start of original post: Stay clear of this practice. Went there in Aug 2021 and paid $5K for prep work for crowns, and for purchase from a lab of the crowns themselves. The prep work was done (while Dr Guzak constantly belittled his assistant in front of me). After 4 months of phone calls with not a single return call, showed up in the office customer lobby and was told that the impressions were never received by the lab. Having zero trust left, I told them that I would be moving on to another practice and wanted a refund, and was given the usual will call you back after the weekend. Two more months later still no call backs, so forced the issue again, and was then told they had no funds to refund my money; so basically using my money to buy crowns to fund this obviously failing business. Have already paid another practice for some beautiful crowns and moved on to some implants. Will keep working to get my money back, but hopefully this review will stop someone else from getting ripped off. You may want to check Yelp reviews also where people besides myself had money stolen by this practice.

Probably had the best teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. I was in excellent hands and only want her to clean to my teeth going forward. Left feeling like I had cleaner teeth than anyone in this town! And most likely so! She taught me a few things so that I can better floss these babies. Hands down - a great experience. Just was there yesterday for my 6 month cleaning again and AGAIN, it was one of the best cleanings Ive had. I dont give out false news just to be kind.. I like to think that I speak factual and THIS is FACT that its a thorough cleaning.

Dr Guzak is the “gold standard” when it comes to Dentistry and patient care! Gracie is a remarkable hygienist and Stephanie is an outstanding Dental Assistant. The office is managed by Sarah, who is extremely knowledgeable with insurance and scheduling. In my opinion, Dr Guzak and his Team are professional and friendly and deliver an exceptional experience!

I saw Scott and his team for an emergency crown repair. I was a first time patient. They managed to get me in right away without an appointment. The entire staff from the receptionist, to the dental assistant, to Dr. Shepherd were uniformly friendly, kind, competent and professional. Contrary to other posted opinions I found the prices to be quite reasonable and very competitive. Thanks again for a great job folks!

I personally have had positive experiences with Dr. Guzak and his team. Do not let the aged decor deceive you from the quality and knowledgeable care. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Guzak’s expertise in the valley. He takes emergency cases and knows his practice. I leave the chair informed and with very clean and shiny teeth. The team makes sure to clean with ease and to provide care that is needed; not excessive and unnecessary cosmetic seeking.

My family and I have been going to Palm Springs Dentistry for 37+ years. Dr. Guzak and his staff have always been very professional and done an excellent job of taking care of my dental needs. I have never had any problems with the work Dr. Guzak has done and the fees for his services have always been fair and reasonable. I very much appreciate their staffs efforts to work me in their schedule the few times I had a dental emergency. I would not go anyplace else

My tooth broken but my regular dentist had no open spot till next 10 day. I called Palm Spring Dentistry to scheduled my first appt. The operator told me to call my insurance and hang up on me without even saying goodbye. My dentist never asked me these question. They checked online for me on my first visit. Feel stupid and reluctant to call and asked for info. Better wait and go back to my dentist.

I had an emergency appointment when I was visiting Palm Springs as a veneers on one of my front teeth had fallen off and I needed it re-bonded. The dentist performed a perfunctory job - the veneer was stuck back on but there was no attempt to finesse the edges or discussion about what colour bonding would work best. I was not shown the finished job before he disappeared and I subsequently discovered that I can no longer floss on either side of the repaired tooth as there is obviously some residue in the gaps. I paid $370 for the job which seems excessive. I have previously had the same repair in South Africa and Spain where the cost was a fraction and the end results was a massive disappointment. This felt like a take the money and run job!

Ive been going to Dr. Guzak for over 20 years now. His mannerisms are what has kept me as a client. His office manager Sara is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable! Who Ive really connected with though is his assistant, Stephanie. I am the biggest baby with Dentist induced anxiety. She moves slow with me and communicates well with what is going on. She is a gem!

I just moved to Palm Springs and needed a dentist. On the recommendation of my neighbor I scheduled an appointment at Dr. Shepards office and was happy I did. I was impressed from the time I entered a clean office and encountered a smiling friendly receptionist. I waited only a few minutes before my X-rays. The person taking my X-rays was very professional and cheerful. Then I had my consultation with Dr. Shephard and he was just wonderful. He went through all the X-rays and photos of my teeth on the computer screen in great detail. His explanation of what he saw and pointed out to me from X-rays was an education. I would highly recommend Dr.Shepard to anyone looking for a dentist. After, my consultation with Dr.Shepard I was escorted to a receptionist who scheduled my cleaning appointment. She was as friendly and cheerful as everyone else in the office. Overall I would give my experience at this dental office an A.

Where do I start about how much I love this place? Greeted immediately upon entry? Check. Super-friendly staff that actually means it when they ask how I am? Check. Dental hygienist who asks me questions before we begin (any new meds, how is my health, etc.) Check. Truth is, my hygienist, Steve, is incredibly proficient AND friendly; how could I ask for more? When I have billing questions,, or any question, Peta and Blanca couldnt be nicer or more informed. Did I mention I also love Dr. Scott Shepherd, who is super-patient and NEVER rushes me during consultation? Run, dont walk, to this miracle practice.

Ever since a childhood injury over 39 years ago Ive had to go to the dentist on a regular bases. So Ive experienced horrible to excellent dentists in that time all over the country. I can honestly say that Dr. Sarah Enright and the staff at Palm Springs family and cosmetic dentistry are by far the best in this field. The entire staff is consistently friendly and professional. If you want the best, this is it.

Incredibly friendly and experienced team along with a dentist who gave me all my options very clearly and honestly. I cannot fault the way they got me out of pain and patched up so quickly. I responded to the advertising offering a special price for new patients and was very pleased with the service. Asia provided an excellent cleaning, took numerous digital x-rays and Dr. Guzak finished up with a complete exam to help relieve some tooth pain I was experiencing. The entire practice seems very friendly.

My wife required immediate attention for a chipped front tooth last week. We contacted Dr. Guzaks office and from the first contact were treated like long-standing patients. Not only did we get an appointment that day, the problem tooth was repaired before the close of business! To say that my wife was pleased about the result would be an understatement. Just moved to PS a month ago and needed a badly cracked filling/decay fixed that Id put off far too long. Not only did he save me from a root canal, but he put up with my ridiculous cringing while I was in the chair. Very nice guy, and his staff are just lovely. Yes, you are going to notice some wear and tear on the office and equipment - let me tell you, I have been to those high end dentists who have the latest machines, and the care is no better. Go with experience, every time. (Oh I will ask that you use a bit more suction though, Doctor - I half felt like I was being waterboarded)

Let me begin by saying that I am one of those people that need to have my teeth cleaned every 3 months (tartar build-up). And I let it lapse when I was on the East Coast until I moved to Palm Springs. Im just going to knock it out of the way: I saw a few complaints on Yelp about the prices. This is what Im used to paying in the DC Metro area. It may not be cheap. But it IS an investment in myself. Peta was great getting me in when I initially had to cancel. Francisco was great with taking a couple extra x-rays (even I could see that the ones they received were blurry. And no, I did not get charged for that. I saw Dr. Enright, who introduced to a couple new products that Ill integrate into my brushing routine. And there an action plan for my mouth. They remind me of the dental practice that I had back in DC: thorough, professional & great Customer Service. Steven did an incredible job of cleaning my teeth. I dont have dental insurance, but Ill be back in a couple of months for a deep cleaning. So Ill be back to being proactive in my routine.

That being said, I went to my appointment at Dr. Guzaks office with the same fear, but those fears were quickly suppressed by the relaxed feel and friendly staff. Had a major toothache, no dentist would see me due to Covid-19, which is understandable, but I was able to schedule an appointment right away and saw them the next day. When I visited the dental assistant and dentist were very respectful and treated me with care. Now I no longer have tooth pain and I have this place to thank!

My wife Desley Poped a front top tooth veneer and needed attention ASAP .Called our usual dentist and they never called back after leaving several messages on their answer machine..Turned out they had closed for 10 day vacation and never altered answer machine to reflect that. Called Dr Guzaks office at 4pm and they said come over at 9.30 in the morning.Very professional and excellent work, and a little bit less than our regular dentist charges. We are not changing to Dr Guzak as a permanentdentist.

I do not like needles. That being said i also dont know why people go to the dentist needing work done that requires a needle get all in a panic. Nothing getting around that lil pinch at first. Thats also being said, Dr Gusak does an excellent job with both my broken bridge from another office. And my recent wisdom tooth removal. After that lil pinch and lil sting. I didnt feel a thing! And i mean nothing lol didnt even know the tooth was out. Ive had wisdoms removed at another place and Dr. Gusak procedure was betrer all around hands down.

Dr. Guzak is a top notch dentist...I started seeing him approximately four years ago for some very complicated dental work caused by TMJ and other issues...actually, my entire bite was out of allignment and work had to be completed a section at s time...I highly recommend him for all dental work, including cosmetic procedures...I am constantly being complimented on my smile, and Dr. GUZAK gets the credit..Stacy, the office manager is a treasure and I see Gail for regular dental cleanings...would not go anywhere else!!!
