With a few minor fixes the rooms would go to four stars.1. The towels are rough and the bath towel is too small.2. No robes.3. The sheets were pilled, they almost felt like flannel.4. The TV service is horrible. The video kept stopping and starting.5. Be careful of the ledge in the shower. Theres a trough in the front of the shower where the drain is set. I nearly turned ankle when I backed closer to the shower head and my foot slipped down the inch drop of the trough.6. Theres no tub nor is there a shower wand. If you have little ones, I dont know how you will wash them.7. Shower water pressure is anemic.8. The pillows are not great.9. The breakfast did not look appetizing, I passed.10. The rooms are neat and tidy.11. AC is good.12. Third floor room is quiet.13. Theres a fridge and microwave.Pulling up to the Palm Garden is not impressive. I was prepared to leave if the rooms matched the exterior. Once you go past the check-in the outdoor space is really nice with a big pool, ping pong and plenty of different areas to lounge.

A pretty nice place, just pretty expensive for what it is. Seems like the prices are better in SF but we were looking at a college for my son in the area, but this was a last minute booking and they were able to get me a room at the front desk. People at the front are super 👍 nice and helpful ❤️🙏. Only reason it isnt more stars is that the air conditioning in the room was horrible. It squeaked the whole day/ night and barely put out any air. Room was ultra stuffy when we got in and they sent a maintenance worker that said its just like that he was sorry and it does take awhile. Water pressure in the shower was super low and wasnt as hot as it could have been. The cleaning and decorating was ADORABLE 🥰. The pool was very nice. We will.come back but will.ask for a room with better air and water next time. Thank you for being so clean.

Came for a wedding nearby. Very cute hotel, grounds are nice and maintained. Clean and up to date. Really very cute and nice for not too much. Great experience, clean pool, free breakfast! So great, just get a room maybe away from freeway, by the pool.

Im staying in Thousand Oaks near my medical doctor for a procedure. I drove to each hotel near Los Robles hospital to find the one place Im comfortable with. I was very impressed by this enchanting property. I walked the grounds and the California garden motif was thoughtfully arranged and mature. I saw this hotel on the travel apps and the pictures looked good so I checked it out. I will be staying here and visiting the first Monday of the month for a jazz show band in the ballroom at 7pm! Way to go!!

Clean rooms, but missing a few items like toilet paper 🤨 but house keeping was just a phone call away. The heated pool and hot tub were very clean. And, I could easily do laps in the pool. Next time I will get a 2nd floor room. Definitely will go back.

Was recently here for a wedding and every one of the guests had an issue.AC was broken, key cards had to be reprogrammed multiple times, the restaurant is and has been under construction and “opening soon” for 18 months, the staff would not listen when asked not to disturb the room, there was no bath tub (I have an infant and that would have been nice to know upon booking), late in the evening one night the concierge was extremely rude about bottles of water she had offered to me only minutes ago. The only saving grace this place has is its location and that it has a pool.

Nice older hotel that they are bringing back to life. Still have some things to work on, but overall, its pretty good. The breakfast area doesnt have much seating, cafeteria style at banquet tables and folding chairs, and not a great selection of food. You can sit outside but none of the tables were dried off at 9: 30 from the rain overnight. Overall, it is a good choice for the price. We stayed 2 nights.

Unfortunately not the best experience. The rooms were clean, but the WiFi would continuously kick me off (multiple devices), the breakfast was extremely limited compared to other 3 star hotels, and the fact that the room doors open directly to the parking lot result in potential late night noise.The staff was very nice and also have me the staff WiFi password which resolved that problem.

Update. The breakfast was much better on our second day. Apparently there had been a large conference who had stayed the night before and had used up all the cutlery and food and had broken the toaster. Today was calm pleasant and the food was good, eggs, sausage and potatoes with veggies, varied bagels and two new working toasters.The following was the case yesterday: The bad reviews of this hotel breakfast do not do it justice! It’s worse than that! Dark little room with staff that don’t care at all - and that includes the guy who did speak english. The fact that the hotel haven’t improved this situation after all of the comments on here shows that they can’t care much either, and since breakfast is a huge part of your stay, I cannot recommend the place even though our room was really quite nice and comfortable, however the tv connection wouldn’t work, so no Netflix etc., just basic live tv the remote wouldn’t work to scroll the channels. Someone came up to try to fix it but that didn’t work either. These photos were taken an hour before breakfast ends.Overall the hotel is very good and pleasant.

Stayed here for a work trip. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. My room was comfortable and clean. The pool and hot tub are so relaxing. A Grocery store and other shops are within walking distance! Had a great time!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Staff is very rude. On the way we called to make sure we would be able to book once we got there since we would be there late. Someone named josh said there would be someone to help us book a room anytime at the front counter. We arrive and the front guy tells us your not getting a room this late and we can go to a motel instead. I said we spoke to someone named josh over the phone and he said his name is nick and he’s the night manager and that he was wrong and to get off his property and walked us out with security. This all happened in the span of five minutes. Very unprofessional. Had bad attitude. Save your money!!!

The customer service at this hotel bar none! We Checked in around midnight and one of the girls at the front desk actually helped us to our room with our luggage. but before that there was a mixup with the room, so they upgraded us. I’m disabled so she had us on the first floor as opposed to the second.The next day after we came back from our day out, the maid service did an excellent job. I tipped them through the app which was new to me. It’s super simple. Then when we checked out, my husband had mentioned that our toilet was finicky. So he went ahead and credited us some money back. That was a total surprise. We didn’t expect that at all we were just letting them know. And because of that, we are more likely to stay there again. The pool area has been upgraded. It looks really nice. The restaurant wasn’t open yet but it looked really nice. Breakfast was awesome. They even have a game room, but we didn’t see it until we were leaving, so maybe next time. We also ate at the Indian restaurant like literally Across the parking lot It was so cute inside and really good food, and the staff was very friendly. There’s a Walmart across the street and a Ralphs in the plaza next-door.

Exceeded expectations for the price. Lots of amenities. Great jumping off spot for local attractions. Good free breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage and the usual free breakfast fare. Would definitely come back. WiFi wasnt working, but had 5g on T-Mobile from the room.

Great service and everyone is friendly. The hotel itself is renovated but the rooms have some signs of their age. The bathroom doors are just barn doors with large gaps so beware of privacy. The front door had a large gap that let air in as well. Updated bathroom shower and sink and whatnot was nice. Has a fridge and microwave too! Parking is also not a problem and the outside is very nice looking.

The property is very nice after the upgrade. The reason for a 3 star on the rooms is because the beds and pillows are the most uncomfortable Ive ever slept on. If you stay on the weekends and you like to have coffee between 5-6am then you might wanna make plans to get it somewhere else because they wont serve coffee until 7am with breakfast. Some of the signs on the walls well direct you to Ice and vending machines (Thats what the signs say Ice and Vending machines) but they do not have vending machines on the property. The free breakfast was good and they also give you 2 free alcohol drinks per day. The heated pool and jacuzzi is nice as well. This hotel could easily reach a 5 star if they get new comfortable beds and pillows instead of beds far worse than a Motel 6

Best part of the hotel - location wise it is near freeway, making it easily reachable. Near by lot of restaurants (Indian, Mexican), grocery stores (Ralphs, Walmart), Fast Food (DelTaco), a liquor store and massage place. Hotel also offered breakfast in the morning till 10 am. Very friendly staff. Big enough rooms for 4 member family. Center of the hotel there is a beautiful garden with lots of roses, a fountain and chairs to sit and enjoy nature.

This place robbed me of $150 dollars on a bogus fee. I am a smoker, and i followed the rules in regard to taking that activity outside the room. But..... Because i cant smoke a full cigarette or a blunt, and i would turn off those things at mid-point, i ended up smelling of tobacco or weed, and therefore stank up the room i stayed in for days i was charged a smoking fee to the room like if i smoked in doors. The rules clearly state if i smoked in the room, i would be charged. I never smoked in the room, but i know i stank it up with my tobacco and weed butts. But i wasnt told i couldnt stink of what i smoke either. It just says dont smoke in the room. Now, the manager Daniel lied to me saying he found ashes just to get his way of charging me $150 for smoking even though i never smoked inside. Daniel couldnt even keep his story straight. First, he said ashes were found in the trash can in the bathroom, and then he said at the front door of my room. These are lies. I never smoked in the room that i was sharing with my 12 year old kid. I smoked outside. But obviously, they were set on robbing me for stinking up the room with my TURNED OFF WEED, AND CIGARETTE BUTTS. I wasnt told i could get charged for stinking up the room from my butts. I was told i would get charged only for smoking within the room, which i didnt do because i was sharing the room with my 12 year old. But the Palm Garden Hotel manager Daniel says we can get charge for smelling like tobacco or weed too in the room. Which is not stated or told to guests for their knowledge. Daniel charged/ stole $150 for smelling like my cigarettes, lied on the rules in regards to the smoking policy when i asked for specific. And even invented ashes that i know werent there.

Clean, the property is nicely updated, front desk staff were beyond friendly and helpful. For example, Jessica at the front desk was checking in an entire bus load of guest and still kindly made time to answer a few questions, she was amazingly gracious and helpful! The housekeeping staff makes beautiful towel arrangements on the chairs at the pool! Clean breakfast area, they even serve real eggs! I recommend this hotel!

This was a great hotel, wish I could give it a better review. First the positives - the rooms were really nice, the housekeeper did a wonderful job cleaning everything. Nice vibe and location, and when the bar/restaurant is done it will be even nicer.However, on our last night there, the hotel hosted a function. We didn’t mind, but some of the people who attended decided to have an after party, which was inconveniently in the common area of the hotel, near our room. They kept screaming and laughing and making a lot of noise even at midnight, way past the end of the event. What was most disappointing was we called the front desk 3 times to bring it up. They said hotel staff and security were handling it. 15 minutes, it was still going on. It was past 12:30am by that time. We called again, they said they were working on it. Some of the group dispersed. But 30 minutes later, there was still a large group out there disturbing guests. When we called the front desk again, they said they would go out there. Since we couldn’t sleep, we checked and to our knowledge they never sent someone out there. We tried to sleep, but kept getting woken up by the noise through at least 2am. When we checked out that morning, we brought it up to the front desk and all they said was “sorry, they were having a reunion.” (The reunion was earlier in the evening before the hotel curfew). It was frustrating having our sleep interrupted, but it was even more frustrating that the staff didn’t seem to do anything or didn’t care about the rest of the guests at the hotel. Again, wish that didn’t happen so I could give this place a good review because it was a nice hotel overall

Room and bathroom are so modern and clean!!! It even smelled like spa when we entered the room. We like the bathroom sink counter and the shower area. Everything around looked new: wall paint, bathroom sink & tiles, carpet. The garden looked so pretty. I loved all the Jasmine flowers on the trellis. They were so fragrant. Location is so close to a lot of stores.

Nice hotel located in Newbury Park / Thousand Oaks, which is halfway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. The rooms are clean and quiet, the staff is friendly, and the hotel was built in a commercial area with a few shops that can be reached on foot. Breakfast is included in the price, as well as parking (large, in front of the rooms). There is also a beautiful garden and a pool accessible during the day. Great value!

We loved our stay at this beautifully landscaped hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and had Netflix. Also appreciated the breakfast with homemade salsa for the eggs. If you are noise-sensitive (since this hotel is located adjacent to the 101 freeway) I recommend paying a bit more for a courtyard room--ours was very quiet. And the hotel is dog friendly!

The hotel is on one end of a shopping area. They dont have a restaurant yet that is full service but they are building one. Meanwhile they do have a breakfast area. They have a nice pool area. The rooms are pretty quiet especially the inside garden area rooms. But there is a bit of freeway noise. The lobby staff are really nice and very friendly. The rooms are clean. Nice floors of wooden type linoleum. I like it better than carpet. The bathroom only has one sink. It would be better if it had two. I do recommend this place. It is newly renovated and pretty nice.

Stayed at this place during my trip. Loved the location with lot of restaurants, super markets and gas station just a few steps away. The room was very clean and located in a quiet atmosphere. I loved their breakfast thing, and they still maintain the covid restrictions policy. You order the breakfast in the morning through phone and then go and pick it up, very nicely packed great breakfast burritos with tasty coffee. Had a great swimming pool and other activities nearby but still some construction is going on. I wouldnt forgot this place, because I met a nice friend with whom i got to talk for few minutes during my busy traveling life. Definitely a great place to stay. 👍👍👍

The location of this hotel is quite good considering the prices in California. Unfortunately the cleanliness of this hotel is far from being at the height of the prices practiced.The towels have questionable stains. Although the hotel is renovated our room had a bad smell (I dont know if it is a room where animals are allowed but the smell is unbearable). The water flow is catastrophic. The staff doesnt care about the customers remarks. Anyway it is always crowded so the service is not emphasized. The rooms are relatively clean. If you are not meticulous about cleanliness, this hotel can be suitable for you. The breakfast is average. There are many positive points (the location, the pool, the garden, the gazebio).

On my roadtrip through the USA I choose this hotel for a 1-night layover based on the reasonable price and great reviews.I must say I was not disappointed. This was I think on day 9 of my trip so I had already stayed at a few other places but this place ranks amongst the top so far.The rooms are clean, have a good size and most importantly are very quiet. I could certainly see myself returning and booking a longer stay here.

The staff was friendly staff, the grounds were beautiful even through renovation. The room was clean and the best part the bed was comfortable, plus the breakfast was filling.The only bad experience, was the shower in the handicap room. The water did not drain properly as the water went onto the tile, and can cause people to slip.

This is an amazing family owned hotel that is worth every penny. They make you feel at home even while you are away from your own home. The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms were comfortable, welcoming and extremely clean. I couldnt find even a speck of dust. The bathrooms make you feel as if your in a spa. The property has an exotic feel with a heated pool, hot tub, and alot of comfortable seating. They have table top fire pits to add warmth on a chilly night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling. The price is extremely affordable for all the comforts they provide.

This place is incredibly beautiful, clean and hospitable. The pool was closed for reconstruction, but it looks like it will be an awesome space. The rooms are freshly rehabbed and modern with comfortable beds and fluffy towels. The staff is wonderful, especially the guys who make the complimentary (legit) breakfast for all guests. The center courtyard and garden is stunning and I can understand how someone had their wedding here. Trellises with floral vines decorate the exterior room entrances. We felt safe leaving our motorcycle trailer unlocked over night. $50 pet fee, which is honestly cheaper than most places and its one fee for 7 days... 10/10 will be back.

Charles is the perfect ambassador for the property and genuinely wanted me to be happy with my choice as the slight renovation is far more extensive than the warning email implied.In reality the room was great, the bed was very comfy and there was a genuine vacation vibe created by the window style and abundance of palm trees reminded me of Miami as a kid . The mountain views are quiet stunning and the clever landscape screens the 101. Sound proofing of my 3rd floor room was great did not hear my neighbors and was only aware of PD/FD sirens on 101.Even with covid they offer a choice of a breakfast plate or burrito together with toast, oatmeal. Coffee & OJ. They put a lot of effort into this to make sure your order is ready to pick up within 10minutes but its Paul just a shame no one monitors the quality of the food. Bagels & toast should be toasted and not just shown the toaster, on my last day I opened my box and asked for my bagels to be re-toasted. After day one breakfast potatoes were served white I never reordered them & gave up on the undercooked sausages after 3rd pale day.Would not hesitate to stay here again especially when the remodel is complete! Not sure who the contractors are but from the productivity of their workers combined with a high percentage of them always on breaks I do not foresee renovations being completed any time soon.Overall a great place and I extended my initial stay by 2 more nights. Saffron Indian is a hole in a wall but their food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I ate there twice and is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was OK, nothing fancy, but nice staff, best part was earlier 3:00 check in and a little later 12 noon check out without having to ask for early or late. For the 10 months we have booked almost monthly, 3-5 day stays at Palm Garden, and thoroughly enjoyed the property and staff hospitality. Even during the remodeling phase, we have seen this as a hidden gem. However, our last two stays have included two wedding receptions where a majority of the property was NOT available to us and very loud throughout the evening, past 1AM. We were only informed of these events after asking staff as we saw banquet tables in open spaces at 9am the morning of these events. Its unacceptable to not be informed of such events, especially at time of booking. Its disappointing because we feel as repeat, multi day customers our stay isnt as important and VALUED as one night banquet services. For the next 3 years we are coming to the area at least 3-4 times a year. We hope the hotel can find a balance or this repeat customer, who does like this place, will look elsewhere.

Such a great place to get away with your family. Animal friendly they have designated areas for your pets to do their business. Kids had a blast having their own room.. rooms are very spacious and modern bathroom is big perfect lifting and glass shower doors staff super nice and helpful house keeping is also on top of their game. Pool was being remodeled at the time of stay but they have a great seating area and huge lawn with tropical flowers to take amazing pictures also breakfast is served I recommend you get the burrito with sausage and potato kids loved the eggs and oat meal orange just is good too. A little on the higher end of pricing. Hopefully in the future they might do an awards program to ear points or discounts for returning visitors. I like how it’s close to a grocery store and gas station it’s right next to the freeway but you couldn’t hear the cars or trucks go by due to the tall trees. There is a huge ditch so I would recommend keeping your pets in a leash becuase mine almost ran away and fees in to the ditch you would have to can 911 to help your animal out but other than that my kids loved staying here and so did the boyfriend I highly would recommend this hotel to anyone trying to have a local getaway

Hotel under renovation. Wifi in our room was spotty, at best. TV didnt connect well enough to play anything. Until 1030 pm there were at least 20 people drunk and loud in an outdoor dining area adjacent to the pool. The water pressure in our room was so bad I couldnt even wash the shampoo out of my hair. The sink was no better. The pillows were flat after laying on them for about an hour. Made pur issues known the next morning and the concierge seemed to give 0 cares. So for that, 2 stars. The room seemed decently clean. Curtains over the binds would have been nice so nobody could actually see into our room but what do I know.

Our stay in this hotel was nothing short of spectacular. It ticks all the boxes that you could ask for a great accommodation. Associates were friendly and courteous. I felt like this place was more like a motel than hotel. Since all room doors lead to an exterior setting. The pros I saw while the place is under renovation. Rooms and grounds were clean and kept in good condition. Location is in a good area plus theres plenty of markets, a CVS, restaurants, shops.Now the cons l saw and experienced while staying here. While the rooms were updated, so did the appliances needed to be as well. Turn dial microwave seemed outdated and fridge smaller then other hotels Ive stayed at. I stayed with my wife and our 3 yr old who constantly kept going into the bathroom due to having a barn door and no way to lock it. Next was the A/C unit, face cover kept falling off.I hope this doesnt discourage anyone from staying here, it is a great place to stay. Hopefully after all renovation is done, Ill come back and see how everything has changed since my last time here.

Newly remodeled, clean and fun!Loved this hotel. It is a traditional “motel” style place with door that open to the real world, but the rooms have been redone in the last few months and are amazing. My room had a nice size bed, love seat, mini fridge microwave, GIANT TV, glade shower doors and a large bathroom sink area. Honestly, was WAY more modern clean and nice than i expected. Additionally, the attached Irish Pub was such a fun place. This place was okay, but the staff were really nice. We had a dog friendly room, so it had industrial linoleum on the floor. The floor was in fine shape, especially for an animal friendly room. The room was kind of a tight squeeze and the bathroom was a dated and could use a good cleaning. However, the beds were clean and the mattresses were comfortable. Its in a good location (near the freeways), although the actual property could use more upkeeping. There is courtyard that is very nice and pretty, but things like the doors to the rooms need to be painted, and it looks like they were working on the water lines or something. Really it would be tough to give this place more than three stars.We did use the pool which was heated. The mini golf course is now covered with outside picnic tables. The definite upside of this place, is that its pet friendly and it comes with a really decent breakfast.

I cannot see how anyone who has stayed here recently would give this hotel a good review! Only good thing was leaving!! They currently are under construction which was not disclosed. The remodeling that took place of the rooms is very cheep work, looks more like they had day labers with no experience you tube how to DIY a hotel remodel. If the owner isnt aware of the poor job they should be and if they are aware they should be ashamed of themselves for going along with it. When we opened the room we were welcomed with a horrific strong smell of bleech my daughter and I both thought who was killed in this room. After day two it smelled more like mold then bleech and then the smell of bleach made sense. I have never stayed at such a horrible place. I must say the staff was very nice, that is the ONLY positive part of this hotel.

We got a courtyard view king room. The sofa is a sofa sleeper. The room is stocked pretty well with things you might need during a stay. An ironing board and iron, hair dryer, a mini sewing repair kit, makeup remover wipes in addition to the standard coffee and bathing items.The room had been recently updated. The shower is roomy and modern with a low flow rain shower head (we are always in a drought in CA), so dont expect massaging water pressure during your showers.In our room the A/C was very noisy, but worked well. The microwave didnt work well.They are currently still renovating the hotel restaurant so that side of the hotel is a little noisy. Also I recomend to get a courtyard view room because the mountain view rooms have their windows facing the freeway, the busy street, or the parking lot and it seems like those rooms would be quite noisy, especially if you wanted to open the windows.The grounds are well cared for with lots of nice areas for relaxing. There is a ping pong table down at the pool, a basic gym room with dumbells and some cardio machines.Currently the breakfast is very limited where you call in and walk down to the pantry to pick it up. But there is a Ralphs/Kroger grocery store in the shopping center next door and a Walmart across the street.

This review is for a stay during covid. Feels like this property used to be a motel, but upfitted with more resort vibes. They have multiple rooms for events and it looks like they do weddings here too. Originally we had a room booked on the outside facing the parking lot, but it was a bit loud at night due to proximity to the freeway even with the windows closed. Staff was super nice about it though and put us on a room facing the courtyard for no extra charge. The courtyard is kinda cute with a gazebo and lawn chairs, and theres a pool nearby. Property seems to be well maintained and pretty clean. The rooms appear to be recently renovated as well. A hot breakfast is included and you can pick it up at the terrace building to have on the patio or in your room. Location is good easy access to freeway and about 30 min to the beach, lots of restaurants within 5 min driving distance. Overall a very pleasant stay !!

When booking my stay at the Palm everything seemed fine. After booking, I received an email notifying me that the restaurant would be closed due to “light remodeling” and the pool was closed due to COVID. Understandable, but disappointing as they listed a grand complimentary breakfast selection.Upon arriving for our weekend stay on Friday, we saw that the restaurant had been taken down to the studs, but the concierge assured us there would be No Construction on the weekends. Instead, we were woken up at 7AM by jackhammers, reciprocating saws, and cement mixer trucks. We picked up our complimentary breakfast at 9AM (pre-ordered the night before and served until 9:30) and some of the items hadn’t even been made yet.We voiced our issues with the front desk and were simply told “Sorry” and so we asked to be checked out immediately.Once the construction is complete, this might be a fine place to stay. But charging more than $200 per night under these circumstances, and not even giving your guests the proper expectation, is unacceptable. Remodel or not, we will not be returning.

I stayed at this hotel for about a month. The rooms have just been renovated and are clean, comfortable and completely updated. I found the staff to be most helpful with any needs during my stay. I want to give a shout out to Anna Charles, Efleyn and Kayla for being helpful beyond the norm. My son and family from Texas stayed there for a week last year with their family and loved it. They have the best pool along with cabanas and outdoor furniture where we ate and played games when taking a break from the water. The staff at the breakfast kept everything clean and fully stocked. Everyone works together to make my stay enjoyable. The only issue I had was when returning at night the all the parking on the side of the building near my room was filled and I would have to park out front near the lobby.

This was a lovely room. The kids were a little traumatized by the sliding door to the bathroom. It didnt lock and you could see silhouettes through the glass panels, which made them nervous. The sliding door was also stiff and hard to open, especially from the inside without a handle to grab onto. As long as no one was actively trying to peep into the bathroom, though, it was fine! The glass door meant that the light from the bathroom lit up the whole room anytime someone used it at night, though. I didnt get a picture of the windows, but they were wood-slatted blinds with no room-darkening shades. There was a refrigerator in our room, but it was my understanding that not all rooms had them. No microwave. The Wi-Fi never worked for us. It looked like some type of error on their end. There were a couple of flies in the room, but I was able to dispatch those in short order. The sliding shower doors were a little fussy. They were only attached on the top, so if you bumped them, they would swing and noisily bump the side of the stall. When the doors were fully extended to close off the shower, one side had to be very carefully adjusted or it would come open again. If both doors were opened to the side that made the most sense (by the toilet, so you could step in or out of the more open space away from the toilet) they would automatically slide as one to the other side, either bumping into you or the wall, depending on how quick you were. The towels were nice and fluffy and the beds were comfortable. Our room opened onto a courtyard with a fountain, a gazebo, and trellises with flowers in bloom. We would stay here again!

Ive been to this hotel 3 times and Ive found the staff very gracious, attentive and its gotten better each year. They have a pool, spa, exercise room, business center and a pub (havent been in there except for breakfast). Its feels small and intimate but its a medium sized hotel. The rooms have a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. I know there are at least 3 options for room configuration, 2 queen, King and a sofa bed, and a suite. The are 3 conference rooms, and a terrace/patio area. There are two chess boards; one in the lobby and a life size one in the pool area. The grounds have beautiful flowers all around and a gazebo in the back area outside they pool. It would be nice for a wedding.

On our tour of west coast of America we lived three hotels in three cities, The Excalibur in Las Vegas, Palm Garden Hotel in thousand oaks, Greater LA and Double Tree by Hilton in Fremont area of San Francisco. The other two may be 4 or 5 star hotels and this one may be a 3 star but I can tell you this is the most beautiful amongst the three. No fancy stuff, simple but beautiful layout of two storey hotel. Plenty of parking at front and back of the hotel.Nice little entrance lobby, beautifully decorated. Nice little garden and swimming pool in the middle of the hotel. Beautiful decorated Bar and breakfast area laid on the theme of an Irish pub/club, with all artifacts of Irish style. As Indians we were glad to find a restaurant named saffron with Indian cuisine. A super market and convenience store and also a smoke shop, liquor store and a gas station all in the campus of the hotel. Now we come to the rooms. Nice clean kept rooms with small gardens in front of them to stroll around. Very helpful and smiling staff. Conveniently located near Hollywood. And on route US 101, because our next destination was San Francisco. Very quiet surroundings. This is a beautiful hotel, we loved staying there.👌🏼👍🏻

We stayed two nights while visiting the area. Being an independent, we knew there was a chance that the place might be good or bad, but the price was reasonable, so we took a chance. Well, the staff and restraunt were good, but the room had some clear damage and was not clean. We let the staff know and they tried, but it was clear there was only so much they could do.The tile floor was filthy. We had to wash our feet every night before going to bed and in the morning before putting on shoes. If they can address the problems they have, then it might be worth giving them another try.

This is my go-to place when I stay in Thousand Oaks. Nice rooms, very clean, and the garden view rooms are quiet and peaceful. I love the Irish pub that’s attached to the hotel. It’s a lively place that serves drinks and food, and it has a fun, casual atmosphere. There’s also delivery/room service from nearby restaurants. It’s a convenient location right by the 101 freeway, but you don’t hear any traffic noise from inside the rooms.

Awful hotel. I arrived on the 18th of November and upon my arrival I was checked in by an associate named Michael. He was not the friendliest but not very welcoming either. Once I checked in I went to my room and checked it out once I walked into the bathroom I noticed there was a big red stain inside the shower along with hair and residue. I immediately called the front desk an associate by the name of Mark answered when I explained to him what the issues were he said hed have someone right away to clean it and if I would like a glass of wine for my inconvenience (to which I said no) he also said I was not able to stay whole they are cleaning due to covid so I told them I would go to the store while they cleaned. Once I came back to the hotel from the store I went straight to the room to check out the bathroom and it was still not clean. The stain was still in the shower. I also noticed later that night that their was a once inch gap all around the door and two peep holes. The gap wwas so big I was able to insert an entire bath towel all around the door. I ended up falling asleep that night because I had driven so far from northern California and I forgot to call the front office again. In the morning I decided to stop at the front desk to give them an update on my room and also talk to them about the door issue however, upon encountering an associate by the name of Ana she did not care and just kept saying ok when I was bringing up all the issues, again. I finally told her I wanted to check out early (I was supposed to be there two nights) and all she said was ok. I left that hell hole and will never return nor will I recommend it to anyone of my family members or friends.

Lets start with the positive, the continental breakfast was above and beyond what I expected it to be. Now the rest of my stay started off with no parking anywhere, we had to double park near the room to unload our bags and then park in another parking lot. Our first room we given looked like someone had recently kicked the door in, none of the locks worked and the handle was about to fall off. We requested a room change, which the second room was better and the locks worked. My wife informed me of a green light inside the bathroom fan of the first room that wasnt present in the second, makes me wonder if it was a hidden camera. The beds and pillows were the worst we slept on during the entire 2 week road trip. The windows have some wooden slats for covering, and as soon as the sun comes up they do little to filter it ( some curtains would go a long way). I would never stay here again, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We moved from another hotel in the area for the same price within $10. Clean lobby, clean pool, clean rooms, and staff wears masks. Mason was super helpful from the start of a phone call to checking in. He showed us a room from the doorway due to Covid. The pool is super nice. There are tables and places to sit around the pool and eat or sit. The WiFi is really strong and fast for streaming movies. Parking is right in front and plenty. Two grocery stores walking within 5 minutes. The freeway is super close, and Malibu is 20-30 minutes away too. Starbucks is right across the street. Hot breakfast at the hotel or places to eat for lunch or breakfast next to the hotel. I dont hear anyone while staying in our room. Laundry and ice on site too. Really this is the best deal around and Mason and Grace are so helpful here as other staff members were kind too. Class act. I have stayed a lot of places with big brand hotels too. This place gets it. I asked to get help adjusting my air conditioning temp. Right away and fixed it. The hotel staff brought me plastic cups right away upon asking. Mason and Grace were great hires.

The best part about this place is the Irish Pub thats attached to the main lobby. In fact, two of my coworkers had such memorable nights that they cant even remember it. But in all seriousness, the bar staff was awesome. I got two free drink tickets per night with my room which never expire. Now that the alcoholic stuff is out of the way, Ill comment more on the rooms. They are fairly standard fare to me. I wouldnt say they are luxurious, but they are roomy enough and the bed was decently comfortable. The wifi provided is pretty unusable though since it is very sorry in terms of functionality. I wasnt the only one who had this issue. The shower head could be better. It doesnt have the best spread in terms of how much area of your body it hits, and the floor rate wasnt what I normally hope for when in a hotel. However, nice if these gripes seemed worth removing a star over, but I just figured I would mention them. The hotel is located is a decent spot. If youre wanting to score some booze (yes back to booze), there is a Ralphs that is literally about a 50 yard walk from the front entrance, and maybe only 100 yards from the rooms in the back. So if you forget anything you wont be stuck driving all over to find a store. Well, I think that mostly covers the basics. I know this isnt a really well thought out review, but hopefully it gives you an idea of what to expect.

Upon check in we were given a free upgrade and it was great. The grounds are very nice, pool is a bit dated, the overall appearance was very good. The infrastructure seems to be falling apart, outside our room was a roof access that showed the age of the building and the disrepair around the roof area. The biggest issue was the refrigerator, be sure to switch yours on when you arrive. We were not told of this and loaded it up and found most of our contents spoiled the next day. I notified the front desk we had an issue and that is when we were told to turn it on. I went to the front desk while my wife started to throw away the spoiled food. It was only $40-50 worth of food, but still. After notifying the front desk they should tell guests upon check in to switch on the unit, they told me I would get a call or be compensated upon check out. Neither happened, I left messages and emails for the GM, but no action. Not even a call to apologize. We are returning to the area for a visit next month, will stay elsewhere.

The room reeked of urine. The furniture was broken and chewed. This is not a pet friendly hotel, this is a hotel that will provide you with a disgusting room because you have pets. This is not a hotel, it’s a motel with a little paint. I would not stay here again especially at the prices they are asking for it. The best western down the street is a real hotel and was cheaper. But this “hotel” is better advertised and the pictures of the pool/courtyard area make it seem much nicer. The room is a typical motel room with a crappy, spackled bathroom, doors that don’t seal well as well as the individual AC units that aren’t well sealed so you hear everything outside. I feel that we were tricked into this being a nicer, smaller, boutique hotel. We couldn’t make a change since we had to be at a wedding 30 mins after we checked in. Only good thing here would be the very nice check in desk staff.

We have an annual office party in their first floor banquet hall. The room seats about 150 comfortably with a dance floor and activity section towards the rear of the venue. The staff has always been attentive and respectful. This is an outstanding hotel anchored by an excellent staff. We had to evacuate the fires and stayed at Palms Garden Hotel and when we arrived, we were treated with compassion and smiles. Over the course of our 10 day stay there was nothing the staff wouldnt do to make our stay comfortable. They went above and beyond and made a bad situation better for us. Back to the Hotel..the Billards Table was George Burns, very Cool, there is The Terrace..my picture isnt that great but its comfortable and cool! The Artwork on the building is beautiful, the flowers everwhere are so fragrant and the bronze statuary is such an Elegant touch. The Swimming Pool I give an A+ clean, Hot Tub Small A+, Putting Green really fun, Outdoor 4 foot high Chess Pieces Board Game - not a great location but cool, Beautiful Gazebo to grab lunch and have a special picnic in. I wont lie There were maintenance issues ( most hotels have them...guests are rough) like toilet seat loose, and air conditioner noise, but they fixed right away. Felt like it was a newly built hotel and we stepped back in time 70 years prior. Would have loved to stay longer to enjoy all that this property had to offer... oh did I mention the FREE parking, FREE WiFi and the Breakfast & drinks were FREE.

I booked this trip through popular a travel site. Normal price for a suite was about 190.00 a night. Through the travel service I paid about 90 a night. Had I paid full price I would have been extremely unhappy. The crown moulding was done by amateurs, and looks terrible. The bathroom is slightly larger than one found on an airplane . The tile is shotty, and the wallpaper is peeling from all corners. They do offer a free breakfast that consists of eggs, sausage,, potatoes, waffles, cereal, and fruit. Coffee is also available but not very good. If full price is the only option available I would recommend the Raddison in Westlake Village as it is close to the same price, and much nicer. For the discounted rate I paid, Palm Garden is worth it.

Stayed at this hotel because it was part of a wedding block, but was pleasantly surprised at how much bang we got for the buck. We only paid $99 for our room, which is incredibly cheap coming from NYC. Plus, the complimentary breakfast the next morning rocked, with hot scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, potatoes, etc. Theres also a bar downstairs, nice pool, a sitting area with a fire, and In & Out is a 10 min walk away. Not a 5 star hotel, but a great place for the price. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, grounds and hotel in general was clean, it was in a safe place without sketchy people hanging around, rooms looked recently upgraded, breakfast was actually higher quality than expected, and staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again if were ever in the area.

The breakfast buffet is what makes the stay worth it!! Delicious sausages, potatoes, eggs, make your own fresh Belgian waffles, including whipped cream and fruit, etc! There didnt seem to be many reasonably affordable hotels in the area (or even Airbnbs, but this was very sufficient for the night. The connected Irish pub becomes loudly alive at night (particularly our Saturday night stay), sort of a younger bro cowd though... The location was great if staying for a wedding in the area. The room was comfy and spacious and included a mini fridge and microwave, flat screen, and neat touchscreen tablet for room service and such. The bathrooms were so-so... I would shower, but be hesitant to take a bath - just sort of looked dated and not totally sterile. The service was wonderful, check in was a breeze and the noon checkout time is great. We would return again if needing a night in the area!

Absolutely incredible service, A++++ staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, it was my girlfriends bday and they gave her complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, hotel room was sparkling clean, pool and jacuzzi was awesome, food was great! absolutely great experience!

Very well refurbished. Its main feature must be its great pool and garden area. Recommend booking a garden room. The irish bar provides simple meals and snacks as well as a wide choice of beers.Easy access from 101 with a wide range of dining within easy reach

The lobby was nice and the grounds easy to navigate. When we got to our room we found a tablet with a lot of useful information in it, including the Wi-Fi password. The room itself was a little small and cramped. The bathroom was oddly combined with the closet. Over all it was very comfortable. The hotel is located very close to a grocery store, Walgreens and a Wal-Mart. Breakfast was fine and included with our room. They had toast, oatmeal, potatoes, sausage, eggs and waffles. Along with assorted cold cereals and yogurt.

For the price, this is a great hotel. The staff was friendly and outgoing. In particular, the manager Phillip was extremely flexible with special accommodations. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for an affordable, nice place to stay that is comfortably near Ventura.

It was a very bad experience I never had before. A lot of noise from somewhere because someone(hotel) working on the cable TV installation activities. Called front desk people but no help. The noise was bothered me 2 days. I will never ever stay at this hotel again.

I had surgery a week ago. I was an out patient. I needed to stay close to the doctor for the first 24 hours. We pick palm gardens because it was close to the doctor. Efferon and Joe made sure I was able to check in early and had a quite handicap room in the corner it was very quite and I got lots of rest. I appreciate them. Thank you.

The rooms are rundown and the walls are paper thin. Theres construction going on with lots of debris, huge garbage containers and plenty of noise. Go across the highway to La Quinta, Courtyard by Marriott and Hampton inn for a better experience.

A bit disappointing. For how much I paid, I thought Id get a beautiful room but I ended up with a room that had no balconies. The little windows overlooked the outdoor hallway making it convenient for passersby to peep into our room. We had no privacy and no sunlight.

Helpful staff. This is very close to Walmart and other neighbourhood shopping centers. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet and calm. Theres a Ralphs and a Walmart Neighborhood nearby where you can walk down.
