Finally I came in here been driving past it for years. Today was the day I was craving a sandwhich and figured I will give it a try, I am sure happy I did. I ordered the Padua special the 10 inch and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The bread was delicious and fresh, the meats where piled high and just the perfect amount. The staff was friendly and you can tell everyone takes pride here. Dont miss out this place is truly a hidden gem, I cant wait to return.

This amazingly beautiful restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks. Super clean and inviting. The staff were amazing and helpful. We didnt know if we should order the large meatball or sausage sandwich, so we ordered both. They had samples of delicious jalapeño and sweet cream cheese. On the side counter, they had delicious dessert samples for us to enjoy. I could have stayed there all day and ate everything there. When we got home, we were pleasantly surprised by these two delicious sandwiches that were stacked with delicious meatballs, sausage, fresh cheese and red peppers. I totally encourage you to stop in and taste the best italian food in town. Tell them that Robert & Lydia sent you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Italian deli with super delicious daily lunch specials and fresh sandwiches. Tuesdays Pene with pink sauce, garlic bread, and paired with a side of Italian sausage and peppers is so good. Their fresh made cookies are so delightful! Worth returning over and over again.

Ill start by saying that anything you get to eat will leave you a lasting impression and the selection in beverages will surprise you as well. Every time I eat at Padua Im reminded of what a great quality sandwich they make, flavorful, fresh, well portioned, hearty. You can also get fresh pastas, deli meat cuts, cheese, wine, freshly bake cookies, fruit preserve, candies and more. To top off you delicious meal they also have a variety of Gelato to choose from.You have to come and try all this for yourself. Guaranteed, youll be back for more!

All I did was buy prepared pizza dough which is surprisingly hard to find these days! Tasted great and affordable! Helpful staff. Dough lasted for 5 days in fridge and still tasted excellent!

This place is incredible, I always get the chicken sandwich and add pepperoncini and it is so delicious. A bit on the pricey side and you will have a longer wait during the lunch rush but that is expected. Still totally worth it! So delicious and a great place to stop for lunch or even pick up dinner to go.

This little shop is filled with Italian sandwiches, pastas, desserts, dishes, drinks, condiments, and little gifts.I would recommend getting a hot sandwich over a cold one because the bread is a little chewy when cold, but crunchy when its warm. The roast beef sandwich is very good. Theres nothing special about the chicken breast sandwich but its good. The desserts are where its at! I have not tried the pasta yet, but have heard its very good.

How have we not come here before! Coming here has always been on our list and we finally visited! They have a small parking lot next door with more parking on the street. We ordered 3 10” sandwiches and they were huge! Packed with meat. A 10” Turkey breast sandwich was enough for our 7 and 8 year old kids. They have all kinds of fresh pasta, different salads (macaroni, potato etc), deli meats, lasagnas and calzones. They also have a bunch of fancy desserts and cookies! Such a gem in our community! Will totally be a new go to spot for us!

Stopped in today for lunch and a meeting. I had to use the restroom and walked into a stall. When I walked out the owner was yelling at me stating it was an employee restroom. That the health department would fine her. I walked back to my seat and she yelled at my guest and I for a second time. Even the other customers dinning in were appalled by her awful and unprofessional behavior. She then told us we had to get up and leave the business in the middle of our meal. Im a regular here and will no longer support their business! Thats why they cant keep any of their employees Im sure.

I generally enjoy the food here - the red skin potato salad is great. However, Im discouraged from spending my money here because the service is always terrible and the prices are a little lofty for what you get. The women behind the counter work so slow that it takes 20 minutes just to get a cold sandwich. Not to mention, theyre often pretty rude. Im all for the idea of a women-run kitchen, but it might be better to prioritize hiring efficient employees instead.

Owner was ruthless. Never have I experienced customer service in this way. Staff gave me a wrong sandwhich and we tried to go back to get the right one and lady lost it!!! I mean lost it! Got in front of my employee face and yelled at her saying i placed the wrong order and threw away my sandwhich! Didnt even get to eat a sandwich. She didnt want to refund either! So so rude. She made such a huge scene in fron of all customers. It was very heartbreaking for any one to experience this when they did nothing wrong. Nice family owned and operated restaurant/Delicatessen. They offer home made Pasta, gnocchi, pasta marinara sauce, ravioli, home made calzone Bread (shall I continue?) deli meats, cheeses, sodas, wine and an assortment of homemade goodies that I can’t even start to mention.I ordered a pepperoni calzone that came with pasta sauce $8.95!!!! My first time at this location. I heard that the food was very good. Unfortunately it was the worst customer service Ive ever had. I got there at 10 when they opened. There were 2 customers in front of me. I could not believe how rude and the attitude that the older lady employee was giving the poor kid and his mom. She was throwing stuff around and made it very obvious that she was having a very bad day. Disgusting! She gave the next customer attitude and myself as well. I was talking to another customer about her rude service and the lady told me that they are always like that and she only goes there because the pasta is good. Im very surprised that they are still in business with that service. Every customer that was there at the time was in shock at her behavior. I will definitely not go back ever again.

I often buy food at the Padua Pasta so I am very surprised that I received bad customer service today. There is an older who was preparing my order. I noticed she grabbed my bread with no gloves and when I asked her to wear gloves while handling my food. She got upset and was making faces and tossed my order to me.

They get busy during weekday lunch hours, so I typically call ahead to order and they always have it ready. Have purchased their premade pasta to make fresh at home and its amazing. Ordered a sandwich to go and after getting home and trying it I can without a doubt say its amazing. Prosciutto is piled high but not to much as we all know that would make the sandwich to salty, tomato is fresh and cheese is liberally added with just a hint of vinaigrette. This is a well balanced amazing tasting pice of art. I havent even made it to the dessert yet!Id also like to add that the staff was very friendly and professional!

Although the food is decent, service leaves a lot to be desired. I visited this place a couple of weeks ago went to the deli section where there was somebody ordering in front of me. The servers took their order turned around and started making out the order. 5 minutes went by with no acknowledgment from any of the staff no eye contact, no Ill be with you in a minute sir, nothing. A couple more minutes went by and still no acknowledgment. I found it to be quite unprofessional and I do understand that places get busy but this is the second time this has happened. Needless to say I will not be patronizing this place again I rather go to Claros or the deli in Rancho Cucamonga.

Amazing food but I really wish the customer service was better. The majority of the time I feel like Im invisible. Lots of staff but almost nobody will acknowledge your presence even while standing at the counter for several minutes. This place is so cool! The ladies in the back were speaking Italian, and they had fresh food everywhere you turned in there. Everything was authentic! I saw a video post on Instagram for Padua Pasta Makers and thought Id give it a try. This small Italian deli is so quaint and very clean and well kept. There are daily specials and, unfortunately, Mondays special was not available due to a holiday. The sausage and potatoes with peppers were good, pretty heavy on the potatoes though. Took home the basil arancini, cookies, and pesto gnocchi. All were delicious! The selection of foods is quite large and youll find everything you need to prepare a delicious meal for your family or you can buy ready-made meals. Cookies are scrumptious.

Best thing since The old Baldy Brewing company. I recently visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed with my dining experience. I ordered the chicken and a dish of lasagna, but both were completely unsatisfactory. The chicken was overcooked and tough, and when I requested a new one, it was remade but came back cold. The lasagna was also cold and watered down, and when I expressed my concerns to the staff, I was met with rude and unprofessional behavior. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this restaurant. I will not be returning and would advise others to stay away. They need to improve their customer service.

I used to come here twice a week minimum, the food was well above average and the service was friendly. The manager however is very mean and unappreciative. Further the pandemic made us order in more. Wow, their prices are about 40 percent higher for all menu items, and thats before any additional costs from the app, driver tip, etc. They are also totally inept at fulfilling the orders. They run out of stock but refuse to cancel items. Once they replaced my item with a duplicate of another item I already ordered, which was nonsensical, but worse still both items were undercooked and inedible. Last time I ordered a 10 sandwich and they only had 6 rolls. I said well cant you just use two rolls? They cut the 10 in half anyway. Nope! Then they said they couldnt cancel the item, and I should replace it with something that costs the same amount. I ended up spending $17 on a 6 roast beef sandwich. The product is decent but not good enough to put up with this garbage. The manager is always sad and stressed, and it shows in her service!

First and last time well be shopping here.As many reviewers have stated the owner of this establishment is terribly rude and treats her customers with absolutely no respect. Long time Upland native and always passed by this location since before it was a dance studio or even now a deli and wanted to check it out. Well went in on my wifes birthday because she loves cheese and wanted to get a few varieties of cheese, to create a platter. Owner was rude to her on not just one but three seperate interactions with her, even placing another customers sandwich on top of the counter in between her and the nice lady helping us at the time. Long story but well rather shop somewhere not full of bitterness that unnecessarily leaves us in a lowered mood from our initial state upon entering.

This is the best place in Upland. My family moved around the corner a few years ago and this has been my go-to place ever since. The only con is that they usually run out of bread or pizza early on Fridays. But don’t worry, you can buy hand made pasta and sauce and cook yourself a good meal with quality ingredients in no time :)

I ordered catering for a 60-person event, a week in advance. The staff was helpful, giving useful advice on how to optimize our selection. They were accommodating to some small changes we asked for. When I arrived to pick it up, it was ready on time, and the staff quickly helped me load it into my car. The Padua special is packed with meat. The bread was fresh baked. I could actually taste the cheese in my sandwich unlike other places where the cheese is paper thin. Great taste. The 6 was way more than enough. I got the lunch box but never will again. I dont think it was worth the extra $3. It comes with a very small pasta salad, a slice of pickle and a sweet treat. I thought the sweet treat would at least be a cookie but instead I got a little piece of chocolate. The employees are super friendly and nice. The location is very clean. I WILL NEVER GIVE MY BUSINESS TO PADUA EVER AGAIN! I live in a historic home walking distance from Padua and have been a customer since I moved here in 2019. The food is convenient because of walking distance but not above average in any way. Either way, I like to support small businesses and love being part of the downtown Upland area. I went in today with my husband and two young children. I placed an order for 3 sandwiches and some deli stuff. I ordered a sandwich that I have ordered since March 2019 that has added goat cheese. When I gave the woman (THE OWNER) my order she paused and loudly and rudely said, goat cheese!? as she huffed. I said yes, I always order this sandwich and she asked if it was a lot added. I said no just a layer to which she paused, smirked and shook her head. I asked if there was a problem and she said I have to charge you extra, I said ok and she said she would ask her girls how they charge me. I walked away feeling judged and upset about the exchange, even my 12 year old commented on the rudeness. While we were browsing and waiting for our order my husband noticed THE OWNER staring and pointing at me with 2 of her employees. My husband walked over and politely and quietly asked if there was a problem. The owner yelled back that yes there was a problem and none of her girls ever made my sandwich that way and she has to weigh the goat cheese. I heard this from across the store and walked up to the counter, put my ticket down and said I would like to cancel my order since it was such a problem. A young girl (who has made my problem sandwich several times before) asked if I was sure to which I responded, yes and that I could not believe how rude that woman is to customers! I have spent $$$$ on food, cards, or decor here since 2019. It is absolutely despicable the way my family were treated today. There is no response this business will surely try to give to excuse being yelled at for an order request. If it was an issue THE OWNER should have declined to make the substitute in a civilized way. I will pass on this knowledge to friends and family dining in the area. Disgusting!!!

I went in today and was treated very poorly. The owner, a rude salt and pepper haired woman with a loud mouth and visibly judgmental attitude, drove me out of the store after I had started to place an order at the meat counter. The girl working the counter was very nice and informative, as I let her know that this was my first time in the shop and am, admittedly, not well versed in the meat and cheese varieties that were being offered. Cue the rude owner who was unhelpful and unwilling to meet my (the customers) needs. She even made snobby remarks and facial expressions as she read through my order. After verifying with the nice employee that that horrible woman was the owner, I canceled my order and walked out. I will not be spending my hard earned money here and neither should you!

Great place for lunch! I love the Padua Special. The pasta is great here, and look out for all the special treats and desserts they sell. I usually get something sweet to add to my lunch. As the name suggests, they also sell fresh made pasta. Highly recommended, though it can get a little busy around noon on weekdays. A small parking lot on the grounds itself, but you can park across the street for free.

Just found this wonderful little market Its located off Euclid Ave and Arrow highway. If you head North on Euclid turn right on Arrow Highway go down two lights it will be on your right across the street from the post office. Wonderful little place focused on an Italian deli and corner store. It is charming, well organized, and designed. Not many off the shelf items from Italy, serving a lot more like decorations. Its clearly a deli more than a store for canned or bottled goods. This place came highly recommended by a friend of mine that took me to lunch here today 3/22/19 for a meatball sandwich. He said that he had brought others here and everyone seem to enjoy the food.When I first entered the building there we heaven smells of Italian sauces and breads coming from the kitchen, I was ready to eat. A few minutes later an older lady comes out of the back with a sandwich that is wrapped up and hands it to me and says “ here’s your sandwich back”. She went on to explain that they toast the bread so it’s not soggy, I told her it was burnt and she said “well next time tell us not to toast my sandwich “! So apparently there is no setting between cold bread and burnt. Stupid excuse! They didn’t even offer me my money back for the sandwich, she just put it in my hand and was done with the conversation. Get the tuesday special penne with pink sauce it is to die for if they ever take it off the menu I honestly might cry. Everyone is super except 1 grumpy older lady with long dark hair. She looks like she hates life and hardly smiles at all. I try to make her smile with conversation but it does not help eek!
