The facility is clean and the front office staff is very friendly. The doctor was good. He checked my eyes from thyroid eye disease. The only thing that I was unsatisfied with was any explanation of what was happening to me and why I was losing my vision. He just referred me to someone else. I would go back I just think you need to be prepared to ask a lot of questions.

Dr. Hulburd is caring and compassionate doctor.I am so glad that I was lucky enough to get him as my ophthalmologist. I just had cataract surgery on my eyes. He did the left first about a month ago and the right eye yesterday. I fell safe and listened to at appointments. I highly recommend him.

My appointment was a pleasant experience, I showed up 15 minutes early as requested, got the paperwork done and was called right in. Everyone was very professional and attentive. Even the dilating of the pupils wasn’t that bad, because I knew ahead of time and brought a driver with me.

They refused to discuss pricing with me before my appointment, I just wanted a simple exam for an updated prescription. We dont know what the doctor is going to bill for, do we cant discuss pricing. 285. 285 bucks for an exam! The doctor was late, so we all had to wait around an hour for him, he was obviously very rushed because of this. Someone else did the exam while I was waiting, he just hurriedly checked their work & then bam - 286 charge. I *politely* said I wasnt expecting such a huge amount & the front desk womans whole demeanor changed, - all I could get out of her was yep, even when I said thank you & wished her a great day. I wish I had called around first, I would never go back to this place.

I was happy with everything except the effects of dilation afterwards. I should have been told in advance how much and how long it would sting and to bring very dark sunglasses. It took several hours for my eyes to normalize, not a few minutes as the tech told me. I couldnt drive and had to sit in my car for a long time before I could try and even then I was seeing suns instead of lights. This was dangerous for me.

Dr. Horne is a great doctor; however the staff do not return messages so you have to call repeatedly to get a hold of someone and they will charge you for a prescription. Not the actual item, just the piece of paper…even if it didn’t change from the last visit! Absolutely ridiculous.

Dr. Hulburd performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I am 61 and my vision is so good now that I dont require glasses.I didnt realize how bad my eyesight had been. We arrived 5 minutes before the appointment. We checked in and had a short wait before being called back for the preliminary testing. the staff are so nice and pleasant. After that, Dr Hulburd came in and I would recommend him to anybody for their eye care. i know several people who have him as their eye doctor and they all love him, he is very efficient, pleasant and easy to talk to.

Medical aspects seemed fine, but I did not feel treated as an individual or valued patient. Although I arrived at 8 am for an 8 am appointment time and was the only patient, the receptionist left me standing outside for about five minutes before unlocking the door. Then, after an initial paraprofessional exam, I had to wait another forty minutes for the doctor had I arrive, even though I was his first appointment of the day. No one in the office was particularly friendly, and I felt as if no one especially cared.

Dr McRee has always been great. My son had a problem with one of the surgery centers that canceled the surgery due to their rules that even if someone is wheelchair bound they would have to ambulate to the bed. He offered a slide board but was ignored. After Dr McRee was made aware of the problem he and his staff accommodated him and got the surgery done at Posada Ambulatory Center. The staff at Posada Ambulatory Center in Templeton were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and respectful to my sons needs. Not only would I recommend Dr McRee to anyone but also to This surgery center. Upmost professionalism and respect. Thank you. My son can see out of his right eye again.

I arrived on time, received paperwork to fill out, was seen soon. Both the technical assistant and the Dr were polite, friendly and efficient. The price was fair, maybe even inexpensive.One issue was one of the doctors decided to criticism a front desk employee in front of the patients in the waiting room. Management 101 teaches praise in public, scold in private. I felt sorry for the poor staff member. The Dr was probably correct in his criticism, but he should have handled the issue in private.

Thank goodness for Pacific Eye Care, I had a foreign body stuck in my pupil and urgent care was unable to dislodge it for me. The urgent care referred me to Pacific Eye, within an hour of closing time they agreed to see me and stayed late to help me. Dr. Horne and the staff were great, definitely recommend them.

Over all a good experience with everybody. One thing I noticed is that getting there 5 minutes early for my appointment there were 3 people ahead of me on the check in list for the same appointment time AND the same Doctor. I had to wait 45 minutes to be called and taken back to start the process of my appointment. The other is that the Optical dept. on the last two occasions have lost or forgot or ? to order my contacts and have no communication with me, it took me to go in both times to physically talk to them.

I arrived at my appointment and filled out the necessary paperwork. While I sat waited, and waited, I had the good fortune of over hearing the front office staff complain about an unhappy patient that never received a call back due to the fact they were understaffed... at least it kept me occupied for what seemed like an eternity.When my name was finally called and I was led to the first staging area, the kind person feigned an attempt to sanitize (not to be confused with disinfecting) the mechanism, and we made small talk. I said to this person, whom by the way, was performing ALL my tests had no idea what nystagmus was and asked if I was referring to astigmatism, wait...what?My eyes were dilated and I proceeded to use the restroom where again I was horrified. Gas station bathrooms are cleaner with less garbage build up and where more toilet paper resides. So back to room number six to wait for the good doc to come to my sight less rescue only to be greeted by a very large disheveled grump of a lump. He was rude with the courtesy and bedside manner of a dead fish in a wet paper bag.Everything about this place screamed filthy, foul and unprofessional.Watch out and keep your eyes open...

They go out of the way to make sure that they have complied with all things necessary to keep you safe in this age of “Covid” craziness. Their office is over-the-top clean and safe. I recently had a hole appear in the retina of my right eye. Pacific eye care, has a traveling eye surgeon that comes to Paso Robles on scheduled Thursdays, to do advanced surgeries for their patients. I had a laser repair done, to repair the hole and prevented me from going blind. I couldn’t be happier with the results and am so thankful not to have lost my sight. Being able to see is one of the most important things in life to me and am thankful to Pacific Eye Care, their team, from the staff to their highly trained surgeons. I was very impressed with the professionalism and caring demeanor of the Technician (Rhett) and Ophthalmologist (Dr. Horne) during my appointment at Pacific Eye in Paso Robles.I had been experiencing partial loss of vision on occasion. The occurrences were infrequent and only lasted for a short duration but it was causing me a great deal of concern. During a recent visit to my optometrist (Not affiliated with Pacific Eye) I was told that I had damage to the back of my eye that might just be normal aging or it could be the onset of Macular Degeneration.This was what prompted me to seek out an Ophthalmologist.The Technician and Ophthalmologist at Pacific Eye diagnosed my issue as Ocular Migraines and told me that if they happen again that I should just lay back in a chair with my eyes closed and the effects will pass in a short period of time. They also gave me a list of possible causes and suggested that I write down anything from the list that may be a trigger for my migraines so that I can minimize future occurrences. Dr. Horne also told me that my eyes looked healthy and that there were no current or active issues in my eyes but there was some scaring from a prior infection in my eye from Histoplasmosis. That is what he suspects my optometrist was referring to. Long story but in summation; I arrived for my appointment with great concern and mild fear but I left with great relief and satisfaction
