Melissa was instrumental in assisting our daughter with university selection based on her area of interest. As well, she helped with the application process and essay preparation for UC acceptance. Melissas strategies in prompts, word count, technique in word choice and themes, and cultural awareness elevated our daughters essay skills. I would recommend Melissa for educational services for college prep. I am a proud mama and happy to say, our daughter received early acceptance into Cal Berkley.

Oxford education is the best! If you stumbled upon my review from 5 years ago, I was a high school senior who had just been accepted to my top choice UCLA. I couldnt have done it without the endless support from Oxford Education. Now when it came time to apply to medical schools, I reached out to Oxford without any hesitation. Throughout this year-long journey of the medical school process, Sue was always there for me. She helped me with my essays and helped me write the best story that authentically represents myself and my medical journey. I have been accepted to 8 medical schools so far and theres more to come! I will always be immensely thankful to Sue and the Oxford Education community for all of their help and continuing to support me with my career aspirations!

I would recommend Oxford Education for all college prep/application needs. I started in 2015 with ACT tutoring and eventually ended up using Oxford for my college applications, scholarships essays, subject tutoring, and my law school applications. Sue has gone above and beyond when it came to helping me succeed in my education and my career. Oxford helped me get into the #1 public university for my undergrad and a top 20 law school. I’m forever grateful for the help I’ve received over the past 7 years. Thank you Sue (and everyone at Oxford) for turning my dreams into a reality!

Oxford Education and test prep is without a doubt the best tutoring center! I went there for ACT prep and to get help with college applications and they were so helpful and so kind. I really do not know what I would have done without their guidance and all of their help. With the ACT, they helped me so much to get my score up and to feel confident taking the test. One of the best things about Oxford is the one on one aspect, I felt like I was really able to get the help I needed and it was great to have a tailored education! All of the tutors at oxford are AMAZING. They really do care about their students and go above and beyond to support them and to give them the help that they need. I really do not know what I would have done without JT, Jerry, and Melissa, you guys are the best! I had a really great experience here and would 100% recommend Oxford.

I highly recommend Oxford test prep to anyone whether it is for preparing for the ACT/SAT or getting advice on college applications/essays. My experience with Oxford was amazing because the people there truly care about you and wish to see you succeed. Jerry helped me mainly with the Science portion of the ACT and I would suggest choosing him if you need to prepare for anything science or math related. I am sure everyone else is amazing too, but I only had him for the science part and he is extremely good at explaining everything. I had Sue mainly for the English/Writing portion of the ACT and college applications/essays. Without Sues constant support and advice, I wouldnt have been able to get into my dream school, UCLA. She is the best.

We have brought all our daughters to see John for college help because hes gotten them into to the best schools. John helped my oldest daughter get into Brown, and my 2 younger daughters get into Brown, Cornell, and Georgetown.I tell all my friends and family to see John. Once you talk to him during the conference, you learn quickly that John knows a lot, and has a lot of experience getting kids into great colleges. He has a great track record, and I cant see anyone being dissatisfied with Johns work.The ACT tutors at Oxford are good as well. All my daughters got tutored by JT, getting SAT scores above 2150 (I heard the SAT is now changed but back then it was out of 2400, so 2150 is considered a good score I believe).I see so many of my family friends get rejected by good schools, and I cant stress for them enough to go to Oxford for help. If it wasnt for John and JT, my daughters would not have gone to the nations best schools. Its not enough that my girls studied hard in high school and got practically all As - they needed extra help from Oxford to stand out in their college applications.Oxford is worth every penny. Tip: You should definitely call and book appointments early. Their schedules tend to fill up very quickly.

Oxford Education Test Prep is hands down the most incredible tutoring center. Not only are the tutors and staff overly helpful with all course work and tutoring, but they are some of the most genuine and caring people that I have ever met. They go above and beyond to make sure that you feel comfortable with all information and always want the best of their students. I went their mainly for SAT and ACT test prep and they increased my score to another level. I went in doing very poorly on the test, thinking I wouldnt get accepted into any college, but because of Oxfords help came out with test scores that got me into every school I applied to including my dream school University of Southern California. Every single tutor at Oxford is amazing and so helpful. I highly highly highly recumbent Oxford for any tutoring services needed. Blest Place ever!! Actually went there everyday not even because I needed the help sometimes but just because I genuinely loved being there.

The tutors at Oxford Education are truly amazing. I had already taken my daughter to many different test prep centers, including Elite. No matter how much she studied prior to Oxford, her ACT never got higher than a 25. However, when I brought her to Oxford, they were able to get her ACT score to a 32! And that was the score we needed to get her into her target colleges. She worked with Jerry for Math and John for English, Reading, and Science. Our daughter normally HATES math but Jerry made the math very understandable for her, even Geometry (her most hated subject..!) Our daughter also has a lot of test anxiety, and John was able to help her so much with that, while also teaching her easier ways to read passages and do the grammar. All in all, Oxford is a bit on the pricier end, but you get what you pay for. Results that actually get you into college. My daughter is just about to start her 1st semester at USC – her dream school. And it is all thanks to Oxford Education’s stupendous job at tutoring.

Oxford was tremendously helpful to me in scoring well on the ACT and getting into the college that I wanted. I came to Oxford with a 29 on the ACT and I left with a 35. They made it very easy to schedule appointments, whether it be for tutoring in an individual subject or taking practice tests. As the ACT got closer many times I would just show up unannounced and they would give me a test and a desk. I would review Math and Science with Jerry and Reading and English with JT. There is no way I could have gotten a 35 without their help. My GPA was 3.8 when applying to college and I got into Northwestern University as an engineering student. JT was so helpful in planning/writing my essays. He walked me through the entire process and helped me become a much better writer. If i ever had a question I could just email him and he would respond very quickly. Oxford as a whole does a great job of preparing you for testing and helping you show your best self in your college applications.

I honestly cannot thank Oxford Education and Sue enough for how much they have helped my daughter Jasmine get into UCLA. Both my husband and I never received an American education, so we were afraid we didnt know enough to help our daughter go to college.Luckily, we were referred to Oxford Education from a friend, and Sue helped our daughter with her application. We tried to keep things realistic - our daughter did not have the best grades or the best test scores, so we didnt expect Jasmine to get into UCLA, but somehow, Sue was still able to get her into UCLA.She was able to get Jasmine to stand out among the competition by spending a lot of time helping my daughter work on her essays and applications. Many of our family friends children did not get into UCLA, even if their sons and daughters had 4.0 GPAs. We were so shocked when our daughter got into UCLA, but also very, very happy. You really need to go to Oxford Education if you want your son or daughter to go to the best college!

I know its tough to find the right tutoring company because there are a million places out there but just give Oxford a try. I went in not knowing what to expect but they helped me increase my ACT from a 23 to 30. The journey was not easy but with their 1 on 1 instruction and amazing positive environment I reached my goal! The crazy thing is that most people dread going to ACT/SAT prep but the lessons were actually fun because the tutors genuinely care. Once I received my score goal they helped me out with my application process. I was extremely intimidated because I didnt know how to fill out the common application and the essay prompts were intimidating. However, the tutors guided me along the process and now Im currently at Santa Clara studying computer science. Thank you again Oxford for all the support!

There are countless things about Oxford that set it apart from other tutoring academies, but the most important one that come to mind: John.John is by far, the best tutor, scratch that…MENTOR that I’ve ever had. Not only is his advice and guidance simple and focused, but it’s rooted in credible data, resources, and statistics that he presents to you (and the rest of your family). He unfailingly answers all questions with sufficient data and lays out all the options on the table, with evidence and data to support what is possible for you, and then allows you space and time to decide what you want. Unlike a lot of other folks at other academies, he never invokes fear or disheartens you. Rather, he focuses on your specific aspirations, and encourages you to dream big and have confidence in yourself. He makes things happen.From one simple conversation with John, I felt the entire weight and burden lifted off of my shoulders, and the entire process of college admissions seems brighter and less daunting. You only need a few weeks at Oxford to start feeling like anything is possible and personally, this is exactly how I felt since my first day there. Whether it was staying after hours to help me work and exercise through tough math and reading problems, or frequently checking in on me throughout the day to make sure I wasn’t overwhelmed, John and the Oxford staff encouraged me and helped me soar through college testing and the admissions process. John is so sharp, and one his best qualities is that he’s efficient. I started at a 25 with the ACT. After working with one of Oxfords tutors, Sue, I was able to get a top score of 32. She is extremely helpful and she will get you the score that you want. I wouldnt have got a 32 on my ACT if I havent joined Oxford

I feel so grateful that my son found Oxford. I brought my son Jim to Oxford as a junior, and had him work with John for the ACT prep and college. Not only did John help Jim score a 34 on the ACT (he started with a 27), but he also worked with Jim on his college application and prestigious summer programs like Telluride.I don’t know how John does it, but not only did my son get into great summer programs, but he also helped my son get into Harvard, Columbia, Georgetown, USC, Berkeley, and UCLA! My son even had friends, who were valedictorians, get rejected to UCLA and Berkeley, let alone all the Ivy League schools.Still, my son, not a straight A student, somehow managed to get into the best schools. I don’t know how John did it – I just know that we owe Oxford Education everything, and we always tell all our friends about John. Ask for John – he’s the best!

I came here last year for help with college applications, probably one of the best decisions I could have made. Sue helped me have a better understanding of the confusing application process, and she worked with me to write strong essays for the UC application. I am an average student, 3.7 GPA and 1290 on the SAT, with their help I was able to get into 5/6 UCs I applied to! Im going to UCLA this fall and I definitely owe a huge thanks to Oxford test prep (:

Oxford Test Prep doesnt just help students with SAT scores or getting into prestigious universities. It is a place with great tutors who help you achieve your goals, build your character, and prepare you for the future. The staff here at Oxford is extremely helpful no matter what subject that you take. If you need help with math, Jerry is your guy. If you need help with English, JT is your guy, and so on. The one-on-one atmosphere of Oxford provides a serious but safe learning environment. Theyre also extremely flexible with scheduling which is super convenient. Overall, great experience and loved my time here.

Everybody at Chaminade knows Im not the academic type, but when your tutor is able to motivate you to get off your butt and actually study hard for the ACT then you know youve got something special! I recommend Oxford to any junior or senior writing their college essays!!! Specifically, I recommend JT!! He is the absolute best and being the amazing person he is, the writing process was so smooth and so much fun. Unlike the other mentors, who are still amazing, JT goes with your own pace and will do his absolute most to get you into that creative space. He pushes you in the best way and encourages you every step of the way.Before I met JT, I struggled with what topics I should write about. But after having one meeting with him, he gave me so many brilliant ideas and wrote down everything I said, pointing out the stories that stand out. Furthermore, he’ll check up on you when you need it and contact you throughout college acceptance season to motivate and encourage you.Ultimately, due to JT, I have never written better and my essays left a good impression to the colleges I applied to. I applied to 12 schools and only got rejected to 2 and I am now going to my dream school— USC— with a huge scholarship! I couldn’t have done it without him and I 100% advise everyone to schedule a session with JT!

Working with JT on my personal statement, supplements, and SAT prep made applying to colleges far less daunting. JT was patient, encouraging, and most importantly, actually made me want to work hard.After just a few months of working with JT, my SAT score went up significantly and I was able to complete all of my college applications well before the deadline. I started Oxford roughly around 6th grade (10th now). This has to be one of the best tutoring centers imo. Ive gone to kumon and others like it, but they dont quite measure up to Oxford.The environment is supportive and professional, but what I think what really makes the place are the people. Currently, JT is my English tutor and its been great. Each tutor has their own quirks(really funny and impossibly sarcastic in this case) and thats something no other center can replicate. All of them are extremely qualified and it really makes you confident as a student to be learning from them. Each tutor is tailored to you and they teach at your own pace and style. Ive grown tremendously over the years and being able to talk and learn with such great individuals has not only made me a better writer, but has given me ideas with what I want to do in life. Even though the tutors are remarkably young, they hold a bunch of wisdom. Im going to start ACT prep soon and am confident that oxford will be extremely helpful.-ayush
