Dr. Amory and Staff took very excellent care of me thru the whole process. 5 months now since my surgery, still doing PT twice a week and getting my life and mobility back little by little!If you dont do the PT, then why do the surgery??Shout out to the staff at Carlsbad Surgery Center also, as they also took very good care of me during my brief stay at their facility.Thanks again Dr. Amory and staff at OSNC,Sincerely, Randy Tooker

I was a patient there of several doctors. I had surgery on my foot with Dr. Bobick who I would recommend and had seen a doctor for my knees and shoulders and the doctors where all great but the support staff there sucks really bad. They are rude and unprofessional with an attitude. The support staff working at the Waring Road, Oceanside location are overworked and understaffed as they serve two dozen doctors that pool their staff to reduce the support staff costs. This results is the patient being mistreated and disrespected by under trained support staff that are either lazy, incompetent, or just plain stupid. I filed a complaint with the US Department of Health and Human Services to report how the support staff there is interfering with my treatment. They should should be ashamed of themselves but the office manager there is mentally ill there. The doctors are doing the job there but how their support staff is being directed by management there needs to be investigated and correct and correct this problem because I could see other patients had similar problems because OSNC is not being run right because how he staff was trained and directed. You are better off to go to another provider because you are guaranteed to have a problem there that has nothing to do with the doctors working there.

I have had a terrible experience with this practice so far, hoping it will change. After seeing a Physicians assist, I was asked to get an MRI (which I did). After getting the MRI, there was no follow up from the doctors office to review the report or discuss a plan of action. After calling and leaving multiple voicemails (because no one ever answers the phone at this office), I finally got a call back. I asked for a tele-health appointment since I would not be seeing a doctor and only reviewing the results of the MRI. The scheduling assistant told me she would call me back if that would work and and never called back. So I restarted the process of calling and leaving voicemails. After weeks of this, I finally got a hold of someone and they scheduled me for a telehealth appointment. After all of this, the PA didnt show for the call.Is this how you treat your patients?I cant comment on the doctors as I have yet to speak with one, but the administration of this practice really needs some work.

Dr. Daugherty is an experienced surgeon that right away knew exactly what needed to be done with my hand, the surgery went smoothly and coming from an efficiently preformed surgery, the recovery has been fast and smooth as well, and the overall outcome beautiful! no more pain caused by the cyst and over grown bone, my hand is good as new!. With healthcare prices skyrocketing I figured my surgery would be expensive, but Dr Daugherty had a very reasonable quote and compared to the quality of care that I received I would say it has been one of the most satisfying experiences Ive had health wise in a long time.

How they ever received such a high rating is a mystery. My General Practitioner sent a request for an appointment 3 times to 3 different fax numbers and they still never contacted me. I contacted them and the confirmed my appointment. Upon arrival, I was informed the date was incorrect and that the system had 3 appointments for me. I lost 90 minutes away from a special project at work while they tried to sort it out. I can only hope they see me next time I arrive. They really need to take a serious look at their front office service.

We appreciated the frequent updates on the status of my surgery to my husband who was waiting to take me home. The staff was kind and friendly. I was able to get my MRI pretty quickly from them. However, once MRI was completed they had to reschedule me 3 times!!! I didn’t even bother after the 3rd cancellation to see the doctor I just went somewhere else because I was in so much pain. They had my results, so they were well aware of the pain and discomfort I was in and to be continually pushed off week after week with awful pain and in need of surgery is not acceptable. I had a complete ACL tear, a fracture, a MCL & LCL sprain, a bakers cyst, & a bucket handle meniscus tear. Clearly needing surgery and unable to walk. They did not care. Do not waste your time with these people. They do not care about you.

Great bedside manner among doctors. I also really like a couple of the nurses/PAs Ive interacted with. Like Dr. Curry, as he was willing to give me the truth and did not race me into surgery based on my pain levels. I must admit though, the front desk staff can be a bit disorganized. I couldnt get an appointment scheduled or get anyone to call back until days later when I was in severe pain. Failed to get my MRI order approved by insurance in a timely manner and told me insurance was the issue.

Great staff and office setup. I was seen on time when I arrived and everyone was friendly and helpful in getting me ready to meet the doctor. Doctor Stark was awesome, very upbeat and empathetic. I came in for a surgical consult on my knee and left happy learning that surgery wasnt necessary. He treated my knee (and shoulder pain) in the office and then forwarded me to Physical Therapy. This man has the surest hands ever with an injection, did not feel a thing. Im starting to feel better and now have positive outlook. Id highly recommend this doctor and this practice for any Ortho needs.

They have no one answering their phones apparently! For 2 days in a row I have been calling here trying to make an appointment for my daughter to get her cast taken off. Yesterday I was in hold for 3 hours! No Im not exaggerating. Today there is still no one to answer the appointment line. Ive left messages. I tried the link they sent to sent to leave a message and it doesnt work. I dont know how such a large medical practice has such a.poor phone service! Unless you enjoy being on hold for hours on end, Id find a different orthopedic specialists if I were you!

Both Dr Amory, and his office staff, namely Shirley, are extremely rude and uncaring. He did knee replacement on me, and I have been miserable every since. My knee is no better, I simply traded one kind of pain for another. From the moment I enter the examining room, I feel like he is rushing me out. He is very hard to get to talk to. I was having a lot of pain but cannot take opiates, but he didnt care and told me there was nothing else he could do. Really regret letting him operate on me.

Visited this office last week. Definitely busy, and we had to wait about 30 minutes beyond out appt time but even so, I liked the place. While people watching I noticed that a few of the staff appeared to be very considerate. They tended to those that needed help, smiled, and ensured patients were well-taken care of. Cant speak to the quality of care since I was there supporting someone else but their opinion was positive as well.

I had been somewhere else initially and didn’t very much want to get treated there, so wanting a second opinion led me to Dr. Bobick. I wish I went to him initially, he was great! He took the time to really explain things and was just so kind, along with his staff in the back. The front reception area wasn’t the friendliest unfortunately. I did a procedure that day in the office that hurt somewhat, Dr. Bobick did his best to make it fast and as painless as he could but still did such a good job. I would recommend him for sure!

Dr. Padilla did an amazing job on my broken ankle surgery. Before I went to Dr. Padilla I noticed some bad reviews but realized they were related to the front desk staff or other issues unrelated to his skill as a doctor. The older lady at the front desk is awful and I agree with those reviews. Try to deal with it if you need a good orthopedic surgeon. I needed surgery to repair both broken bones in my ankle along with a torn ligament. I have 9 screws and a plate in my ankle and was completely non weight bearing for 6/7 weeks. I’m less than 3 months out from surgery and I have my complete range of motion back with minimal stiffness/swelling. My Physical therapist said I’m healing faster than almost all the other patients he has seen with this Injury and a huge part of that is because of the quality of work done done by Dr. Padilla. Also, Danielle was awesome. Nicest and most personable person in the office. I believe she was his PA or surgical tech?

Doctor Hartman is an exceptional Orthopedic surgeon. Here’s why I think that. My situation was particularly challenging when I was referred to Dr. Hartman by other orthopedic surgeons who felt he would be the best choice for the needed complex procedures. As background both of my shoulders had been operated on years ago to stop injury induced chronic dislocations. While those surgeries were successful, surgical techniques available in the late 1960’s had significant limitations. Between those limitations, and time, both shoulders were badly worn out with significant bone loss and pain.Dr. Hartman did an outstanding job of explaining what procedures would be needed. He was very straight forward answering my questions about expected outcomes. And what could be achieved both in eliminating pain and importantly to me what function and useful range of motion could be expected. Earlier I had consulted other orthopedic surgeons who had told me they could eliminate the pain, but I would have significantly reduced function. Dr. Hartman felt we could do better. And he has delivered!The outcome for the first shoulder exceeded my expectations. The pain is gone, and function exceeds pre surgery levels. The second shoulder, the one in the worst starting condition, required two procedures. The second of the two procedures was recently completed and the pain is already gone. Based on how well the recovery and physical therapy is going I expect this shoulder to be successful as well. Dr. Hartman is an extraordinarily talented and focused surgeon that I feel you can trust. He has delivered terrific results for me.

Long hold times and a quote of $250-$450 for a 20 minute consult for a new patient, uninsured!?? I found someone much closer to me who spends 60 mins with you, they are squeezing me in. He has 45 great reviews from bedside manner to both conservative and aggressive and creative operative solutions for athletes and surgical outcomes. I cancelled and went with someone else.

Dr. Alleyne was thorough in comparing my present X-rays of spine every year with my previous ones so I can know the rods & screws are still in proper place. He listened to all my questions ...and answered all of them as usual.with genuine interest, impressive knowledge and even humor. Dr. Aylene’s medical assistant is very organized as is his P.A. It makes sense as Dr. Aylene is also very organized, disciplined, kind and extremely knowledgeable. (The only negative is their phone system but once you are a patient there you have a medical assistant to contact and a P.A. so you do not need to go through the main line.)

Dad gets dropped off 15 minutes prior to appointment. Mom and I show up within 10 minutes. Receptionist decides to skip over his appointment and leave him sitting here because she was waiting for a family member to fill out his paperwork. Hes the only person in here with a wheelchair, oldest patient as well, and instead of checking up on him or making sure to take care of him, we are left sitting 45 minutes until I finally asked what the hold up is. Have used them twice, once for my torn meniscus tear and then for my back surgery.... After the 1st surgery on my knee, I found them to care about you and to insure you are comfort with your procedure. That did not change with the my other procedure and different Doctor. Friendly, informative, great bed-side manner and very efficient. I could not walk at all, in late June 21 when I first visited Dr. Kane. My right knee was useless. I am 78 years +, and had always been active on my feet, having refereed a high school soccer double header in late May, 21, along with numerous fast pitch softball tournaments in mid-June 21. Dr. Kane assured me that he would repair my knee and I would be back to my life style after a short rehab period. After surgery I am back on my feet and recovering nicely. I am blessed, and fortunate to have been treated by Dr. Kane.

From start to finish, Dr. Helgager was exactly what I wanted as my hip-replacement surgeon. He answered all my questions, he was relaxed and reassuring in the pre-op room. He was there when I woke up from the anesthesia. The recovery process was much easier than I expected. As soon as Dr. Stark walked into the room and pushed/pointed to the exact spot where my knee pain was without me saying a word, I knew I was in capable hands. He obviously had familiarized himself with my MRI and already had a plan of attack for my torn meniscus. Luckily (for now) all I needed was some fluid removed and a few weeks of PT. However, eventually when I do need the knee surgery to clean up the meniscus, I WILL definitely be going back to Dr. Stark.

I am extremely disappointed in the organization of this office. They do not inform you that you will need to bring copies of MRI or xrays with you to follow up visits. The attitude of the front office staff leaves much to be desired. My first visit I observed Tashara (I think that’s her name) be completely disrespectful to an elderly woman and on my second visit she was absolutely rude to me while I was trying to check in for my appointment. There were no other patients waiting to be checked in and she couldn’t be bothered to assist me. My experience with the back office staff and doctors was positive but due to my experience with front office protocols and staff I am inclined to find a new doctor. Patients see and interact with the front office staff first so you would think that they would hire someone friendly.

They were told I had xrays on USB from Urgent Care for Dr Bobick to view at the time of appointment set up. After collecting copay from me & when I went in to be seen, I was told I have to pay for another set of Xrays because they dont like to view files on a USB due to risk of virus. I should bring xray on CD. Really? Too stupid for technology & using it as an excuse to overcharge patients, because even CD can contain virus. Had they told me about their paranoa, I could have transferred the xrays on my phone and brought to them to view. I took the USB to another orthopedic practice group who took it without any objection whatsoever.

I realized as I wrote the previous review (below) most think its about the office not the person I intended this review to be about who is Dr. STILLDORFF and if you read other reviews of Orthopedic Specialists, most of them are about their experience with the surgeon NOT THE OFFICE. I just wanted to make this clear.... its about my Surgeon.I have suffered for many years with arthritis in both knees. I decided I needed to find a good orthopedic surgeon and Dr. Stilldorff was highly recommended for his skills with robotic knee replacement by two senior surgeons. I would highly recommend Dr. Norman Kane, as well as Dr. Erik Stark. I saw them both, and each was polite and concerned about my issues. Even if they come off with less than perfect bedside manner, they are both intelligent enough physicians that its worth it do deal with their attitude (not that I experienced it). I have worked with many physicians over my time, and wouldnt worry with either of them performing surgery on me. Dr. Kane did a manipulation on my knee three months after having an ACL reconstruction. My ACL was actually done by Dr. Amory, the unwashed armpit of OSNC.Dr. Amory was pleasant the first time I met with him to diagnose my ACL, and even a little too relaxed and flippant, now that I think about it. His MA, Shirley, is the only thing worse than him. It took numerous phone calls to get my surgery scheduled, and was another month out. It took another 6 phone calls to confirm that she was doing anything about insurance, and was only told the Wednesday before my Tuesday surgery that she was working on it! The Friday before my surgery was scheduled, she called me at 4:50p to tell me the surgery center didnt accept my ins. and my procedure had to be rescheduled. She had no problem yelling over me when I questioned why this wasnt figured out earlier - she had a MONTH! (Again, Ive worked in healthcare for years, and Ive done her job before. There isnt a reason in the world that all of the insurance stuff was still being worked on three days before a surgery when it was scheduled so far in advance, except laziness.) The day of my surgery, Dr. Amory was irritated and short. Again, distracted and unconcerned at my follow up appointments. (I ended up with an extra incision due to a miscalculation of his during my surgery, and the brace I had to wear sat directly on top and rubbed on this incision. I commented at my post-op that the brace I had was poorly designed, considering it was seated over the surgical area and added to the extreme discomfort one experiences after and ACL. He looked at me with a smirk and repeated out loud The brace is poorly designed...hmm. It seems they would have it figured out, dont you think? Needless to say, I ended up with an infection in my extra incision, in part because of the contact from the brace.) Shirley, his MA, truly seems like she hates her job. Rough and dismissive of you telling her so when removing stitches, and generally a disgruntled person - she couldnt seem more annoyed with your needs. After 2 months, I wasnt healing properly, and was far from where I should be in terms of motion and pain. Dr. Amory said he wasnt concerned - it wasnt a big deal. I reminded him that it was a big deal to me, being it was my leg that wasnt working! Fed up with both of their subpar work, I asked to see another MD and got Stark. He was very kind and concerned with my needs. The only reason I didnt continue to see him was because he wasnt as aggressive with treatment as I was hoping for. Regardless, he was intelligent and professional. Finally, a physician I work with referred me to Dr. Kane. He asked questions and noticed things about me as a whole patient. He was professional, kind and concerned. After an MRI and no improvements on my end, I met with him again on a Monday, 2 weeks after our initial appointment. That Friday, I was in surgery, no insurance issues in sight. He was pleasant the day of, and at my post-op.Joseph, Dr. Kanes MA, is excellent. Caring, intelligent, and excellent at his job. I would let him operate on me solo before Dr. Amory again!Another gem of OSNC is the physical therapy team at the Oceanside office, particularly Jen Pennigton. Knowledgeable and caring, she is excellent at her job.

My daughter sustained a serious back injury due to a MVA. She was hit at a speed of 75 mph from behind by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel. Because I had previous experience with Dr. Moazzaz, who operated on my mother after she broke her neck, I was well aware of his exemplary surgical skills. Therefore, I flew my daughter from AZ to CA to see Dr. Moazzaz for consultation and treatment. She has been seeing him since 2019. If I could give zero stars I would. I arrived 25 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. I was called an hour AFTER my appointment time and told I needed an additional Xray. No one apologized about running so late. I guess my time isnt valuable. I was told that people are allowed to come in up to 20 minutes after their appointment time and still be seen. WHY? Why reward people for being late and punish people who are punctual? That is sheer idiocy. They should reserve a time window late in the day and rebook people who miss their appointment time.Dr. Cooperman saw me 70 minutes after my appointment time, did not look at the Xray (for which I was charged), was snotty, did a very cursory exam, and couldnt wait to get me out of there. He wasnt interested in ordering an MRI or other imaging to find out exactly what kind of injury I had. He sent me to PT with no information other than patello-femoral syndrome. (Not a diagnosis, but a description of the pain location.) I couldve found that word all by myself and it would have cost nothing.OSNC wanted me to book PT with their people, of course; but after offering to help me find someone closer to my home, did a complete 180 and told me to find my own PT. (This was 3 different people I had to talk to.) Which I did, BTW, and he is EXCELLENT. Great customer service.If you are referred to OSNC, do yourself a favor and ask for another orthopedic specialist. OSNC cant be the only ones in town.

I was fortunate enough to be referred here for post-op care. I had emergency surgery for a shattered tibia and fibula while vacationing out of state (Montana) and it was most difficult finding an orthopedic doctor who would take my case since work was done by another surgeon. Needless to say, it was not feasible for me to do follow-up visits all the way back up to Montana. Im so grateful for my current physician, Dr. Bobick, for taking my case. Ive never felt patronized nor felt dismissed while asking Dr. Bobick questions about my care. The personnel that I have had contact with have also been most kind throughout the entire complex. Mark (the technician who had been casting my leg) meant what he said about calling him if I had any issues or concerns about either the casting or other orthopedic devices issued there after. Turns out I wasnt putting on my new ankle brace correctly and I was able to call in and be seen the same day by Mark. This is my first experience with having any broken bones. Ive got a long haul for my recovery and I feel that Ive had only positive experiences with this place and feel optimistic that Im being given the best care.

Dr. Andrew Cooperman replaced my left hip early this year. I have undergone prior joint replacement surgery and this surgery by Dr. Cooperman was just as he described. My pain was well controlled and, although it was more complicated than had been anticipated, it was very well done. I am 77 years old, but was able to walk down the hall with little difficulty in less than a day and go home in two days. Worse customer service.Would give zero stars if possible.They will not return your call ever if you need them for something.You will only get voice mail saying they will return call within 48 hours.but wont.What a scam.Avoid this group if possible.Not sure about doctors but if they need patient to comeback to them they need to improve customer service like 1000 times.
