Called the Sherman Oaks location to order bereavement flowers. Viviana was so kind and professional. When I received the first photo the arrangement was pretty but was not too happy about the condition of the flowers. I called and spoke with Brenda and expressed my concerns and she so was kind and understanding and offered to change the flowers at no additional cost. Once I got the 2nd email with the photo and I was ecstatic on how beautiful the arrangement was. Great job Orchid Republic of Sherman Oaks.

Be aware, deceiving photos, not what you expect. First time in my life I returned flowers back to the shop. My 20 year old daughter ordered flowers for my birthday and chose OR with the help of her father, because of high ranking reviews. I was leaving the house and saw a small mason jar with some flowers and green leaves by the door and I thought, my neighbour dropped it off. When I turned around and said to my husband these flowers are from my daughter his answer was, what??? these flowers are not worth $100. Apparently they were. It was a small mason jar 89 cent worth and about 6 roses, aprox 5 inch tall and filled wirb eucalyptus and some other greenery. Something you may find at the farmers market for $20. I was chocked! I called OR immediately and explained my dissatisfaction. I was told the bouquet was $59, plus tax, plus delivery. So they charged $30 delivery fee to go 3 miles. I asked them to come back and pick it up and refund the money. The woman clearly said OK and wasnt even debating or trying to make up for it. I was not happy that they took advantage of a young person (as the lengthy note included was written to her mother). A half an hour later, I got a call from the manager who wanted to hear what happened, but clearly defended her stand. I explained to her that for the price my daughter paid $94 I should have gotten a dozen of roses, not a farmers market jam jar with aluminum lid and a few flowers. Her answer was you got 6 roses and this is the recipe for the price. My answer was, I dont like the food please take it back. She didnt attempt to fix the problem, but said they will pick it up. Total scam, be careful what you are paying for and always ask the recipient to send you a photo. This is just wrong.

The arrangement just arrived for Valentine’s Day with brown, dying flowers throughout. A complete disappoint and waste of money. I also had initially called the Santa Monica location only to have an employee answer the phone with “hello” as opposed to a professional salutation letting a customer know they called a store and not someone’s personal cell phone. Never again!!!

Recipient said this is the most beautiful arrangement she’s ever received. And I would say, my BEST flower experience too! I have been ordering flowers from this place for 5 years and they have been good 90% of the time. However, this year, my husband ordered pink roses for valentines day and not only were they delivered at 5pm instead of in the morning but they were also the wrong color. They delivered red roses instead. And they sent my husband an email saying the flowers were ready for delivery at 8.30am which means they were sitting in a truck for over 8 hours!!! Unacceptable for the kind of prices they charge. Will be looking for a new place to order from unfortunately.

I really appreciate them honoring a discount that wouldnt work online and then calling and giving updates on the status of delivery when I didnt realize I never specified it in my instructions. This shop is always my go-to for high quality arrangements. The fact that I can choose what day its delivered and they send a photo of each arrangement makes me so happy. I ordered for a same delivery to send some flowers to my friend that lives in Sherman Oaks. I thought it was awesome that they email you a photo of the flowers right before they go out as sometimes you never get to see them unless the person you send them to sends you a photo. I was also impressed that the arrangement looked similar and same size of the photo online that I saw when placing my order. So many times I order flowers just to see them half the size of the photo displayed online. Also, they send an email and let you know they were delivered and if the person was home or if it was left at their doorstep Would definitely order from them again.

Pros: Their arrangements are beautiful. They actually have all the selection you see on their website.Cons: Your can’t trust they won’t mess things up… when I placed my order over the phone, they made a spelling error in the recipient’s name. I called back to correct it, and while I was doing that, I decided to change my note as well. The woman on the phone assured me she got it all. The next day, the flowers were delivered, my friend sent me a photo… WRONG name spelling and WRONG note.I was so disappointed. I called the flower shop back. They said that couldn’t have happened, let me check and call you back. They called back saying they needed more time. They finally offered to send out a “correction”. I think that’s really weird. My friend who received the flowers doesn’t know anything’s wrong… she just saw a typo and a short note. I don’t want to send out a “correction” to call out a mistake. So I declined their “correction” offer. I had to be the one to suggest other compensation… I suggested the delivery fee… but big deal it was $11 of a $186 order!Very disappointed with these guys. The flowers are pretty, but it’s not worth the mistakes they make.

I love all of their beautiful arrangements, but Carmela helped me picked out the gorgeous Melrose Love arrangement to send. After years of trying to send flowers to our daughter in L.A. from our home in Montana using FTD or 800-flowers and having orders go missing or be delivered days late, or worst of all be puny flowers that didn’t last even a few days, I started looking for a local florist and found Orchard Republic just a couple minutes away from our daughter’s home. I needed to send flowers to my mom for Valentines Day in Los Angeles, I found this florist on Yelp. Needless to say they did not only do a good job but did it efficiently (Flowers were delivered at 10 AM on Valentines day as they promised and my mom said it was beautiful.
