Spacious, level, full hook-up sites nestled between orange trees. Easy to get in and out. Conveniently located right off the freeway. Nice dog park; very clean and well-maintained facilities. Online reservations allow site selection. Well definitely visit again.

What a great find! My family and I were passing through and needed a place for the night. The website doesn’t allow for same-day reservations but spoke with a very friendly and helpful woman in the office who said they had spots available. Since we came in after 5pm when the office was closed, our info was tacked to the board outside the office. Campground is very clean and so nice with orange trees all around—-the air smelled so sweet! Very quiet and safe. I can’t comment on the bathrooms since we have one in our RV and didn’t use. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great spot if you are passing through. The restrooms and showers were very clean. The pool was cold but clean. This park had a lot of dog areas which is nice. Easy on and off the freeway. The trains can be heard running at night. The road noise can be annoying if you are up close. Over all very clean and safe part to stay.

We stayed at Orange Grove RV Park both on our way to and from Joshua Tree National Park. I was impressed by the seamless after-hours check-in procedure, the clear directions to our site, and the sparkling clean bathrooms, which were awesome for showering after our water heater went on the fritz. Our pull-through site was level and large, allowing us to skip unhitching (some of the sites are smaller and less expensive back-in sites). Although the park is just off the highway, it was very quiet, with the occasional train horn off in the distance. I can recommend Orange Grove as an excellent waystation for RVers!

We absolutely love this place!! we have stayed here 4x now on our way to our destination and on the way back home. It didnt disappoint, we have told other friends about this place and they too have enjoyed it! we love the orange Grove!! the staff is friendly and love that they have an extra special morning with donuts for the guests! just wonderful for people headed out in the morning with coffee in hand. Love also that they are a dog friendly site. We have a 42 1/2 long toy hauler with a Ford f350 dually and we fit perfectly.

Stopped for a over nighter. I imagine location is key. Spot was nice and leveled, tight to leave and turn with flow of traffic in park without trailer hitting tree (use that spotter). could hear a train most of the night off and on. Staff were super nice and helpful. Sadly we came when there was so few oranges left to pick. Also had great water pressure.

Pleasant stay while my husband worked a temporary construction job. Sites are so level and easy, I was able to drop husband off at work and set the trailer up myself. Bathrooms and laundry rooms are clean and convenient. My adult aged daughter enjoyed hanging out in the lounge doing puzzles or coloring.

Our stay at the Orange Grove RV Park was really nice. Huge sites, close enough to town to either Lyft/Uber or drive yourself.The staff is nice, the shower/bathrooms are clean & spacious too. They have a pool, too.Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Found Orange Grove on our way back from Baja. We stayed in the dry camp at a very reasonable rate. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and we spent 20 minutes in the morning pick oranges. The experience felt like a unique farm stay. My head hit the pillow and never heard any road noise or trains. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed on our way to Arizona & on the way back home. Loved the oranges from the trees :-) Conveniently located off 58.The cons--very very noisy with traffic all night.On the way home woke up to no water. The main to the park broke during the night. Whole park-no water. That is not their fault but youd think when we called the office theyd have offered some kind of compensation for it. No shower, no coffee, no anything that required water before we pulled out.Its mucky when wet there also

This place was reported to be so great, but theres really not much to do here. The only plus is if the orange trees have fruit on them, which they didnt in April, only blooms which smelled wonderful. Dirt everywhere. Pool is NOT heated at all and has grass and leaves all in it. They neglected to put that on their website plus the fact that the WIFI is only free 24 hours then you have to pay for each device. For a 7 day period it costs $14 for each device. So keep this in mind when booking here.

We recently stayed three nights at the park. We had reservations, but came in late with a barely operable, jury-rigged, driver-side RV mirror. The staff left us an envelope with instructions and a site, which the night mgr guided us to around midnight. The park was well-run and had very clean restrooms and showers. Office and park staff were excellent and accommodating during our stay. One of the park staff, Jesús, recommended a repairman who came to the park and shored up our RV mirror enabling us to get to Death Valley and then make it back home. Big shout out to Orange Grove RV Park!

For a quick stop over or a longer stay this RV park is pretty great. Sites are large in level. The campground itself is large lots of spots. Bathrooms very big and very clean. The showers were awesome and hot.Nice bonus, fresh donuts and coffee in the morning but get there early. The donuts go fast. Did they mention the orange grove? Some of the most delicious oranges I’ve ever eaten. Be sure to follow their rules on picking. The free Wi-Fi wasn’t much of anything, but for two dollars a day there was some excellent Wi-Fi value. We were fortunate enough to be there during orange, blossoming, season and holy I’ve never smelled anything so amazing.! Get you some!

We have stayed here a few times, since 2018.This time was an unprecedented amount of travelers.Three dog parks and all three needed to be cleaned up. One I picked up 10 extra poops from my own dog.We were stationed across from the one dog park. It was not the influx of travelers that we saw, that did not pick up after their pets, but the local residents. One woman, obviously handicapped,never even got out of her car. Her son approx 12-14 yoa. Opened the gate to the park and let the two dogs in. He then went to check on laundry. Came back out, opened the gate and the two dogs, one medium and one chi wa wa size jumped into the car and they left for their RV elsewhere in the park.The larger park on the over flow side had several left over poops as well. I felt for the woman in an electronic scooter attempting to water her two small dogs. She had just been chased off by owners of yapping dogs at the small park by the registration.Point is, if you are going to have rules then please enforce them.The noise from hwy 58 all night long was a bit much as well. The lights were another issue as well.There are other camping options in the area.

Just spent a great night here after a week of desert off-roading/primitive camping before heading back home to Northern Calif. The spaces were pretty level and wide enough for slide outs without hitting the orange trees dividing each space. It was quiet, clean and friendly. Loved the “Lodge.” I found a comfy spot on a couch to watch a movie while the rest of our group went up to play pool in the loft. Now on the road again after a nice, long shower and a good tank flushing out. Thanks, Orange Grove RV Park, we’ll see you next time!

We stayed here for a week. Very low stress stay. Our site was easy to get into, lots of room. Not a crowded park at all, plenty of open spaces when we stayed so it was nice and quiet with just a few other campers on our street for most of our visit.The orange trees were lovely, and I enjoyed being able to pick the fruit.StarLink worked great.There are a total of 3 different laundry facilities and you can pay with an app (very easy/convenient) or use quarters.They even have a place in the park where you can wash your RV.The park is huge, and I had a great time walking around it in the mornings and getting some exercise.

Clean and quiet, nice bathroom and showers. Got to pick some oranges. The lounge was nice, got to watch some TV and play billiards. Location wise though it was close to a train which is easy to ignore if you wear ear plugs otherwise it was quite frequent. Also it was pretty far from grocery stores and the onsite store closes pretty early.Picnic tables are provided but no fire pit.

This place was referred by a friend of a friend to stay at while traveling. So glad we took the advice. This rv park is large all pull through sites. Every site has orange trees... You may pick till your hearts content... They are absolutely delicious too.Its a very quiet the park. There is a train near by, we dont mind the occasional train horn. Its kinda neat.They are VERY dog friendly. Having a walking path along the whole park and 3 fenced-in off leash ares for pups to play.Office staff is SUPER friendly and helpful.They offer wifi and TV options if you watch TV.Definitely enjoying our stay and will stay again in the future!

What a great park. We had a huge spot right next to the activities room. They have a gym, laundry room and game room in that building. Just outside of the pool area with the bathrooms there is a fenced dog area that was super clean. The park has a great layout with wide spots. This park is exceptionally clean and the staff are so friendly. We came to town to visit our family and play with our grandkids. The location is ideal just off the freeway but absolutely no road noise. I did hear a train off in the distance but it was not a big deal for us. The park also has night security. (Not that I felt they needed it) we will definitely make this our go to place every time we are in town.

Great stopping place before going over the pass and on to Arizona. We had a hiccup on the road and couldnt make it in on our reserved day, however. One quick call, and we had it changed to the following day. At check-in, things couldnt have been any smoother. It was quiet in the evening, and no annoying streetlights shone in my face as I slept. Military discount and Good Sam available. Well stay here again.

Absolutely awesome park. A coworker recommended this place to me, and this is now the only place I will stay in the bakersfield area.Super easy access off HWY 58. Big pull through sites, beautiful fruit trees at every space, well kept laundry rooms. The WiFi is super fast, you have to sign up for it and pay for it, but it works excellent.I stayed 3 weeks while working in the area and always felt safe and felt that my stuff was secure. Bakersfield is what it is, but this place is on the outside of town and was all around a great stop.Note for workers, the monthly rate requires a minimum 3month stay, otherwise you have to move out after 3weeks. I will definitely stay again when Im in the area.Pickup truck pulling a 38ft travel trailer.

On-off freeway access is marvelous.Of particular note, this place is a couple miles from most eating establishments. However, check out my review of El PUEBLO Mexican Restaurant just 7 miles away in Lamont, CA It was an amazing food experience.Back to the RV Park... Nice park but check in was not friendly at all. We checked in during hours that the office was open, but I was told to grab my envelope outside, sign it and then give it back. No welcome and here are the amenities. It was more like fend for yourself even though I’m open. She made the comment that they had lots of check-in‘s like 75 and it made it a lot easier this way. Little did she know that my husband and I worked at a campground to where we had a minimum of 188 families checking in and we never did that to them. Very disappointing.

Stayed here for a couple nights and place is beautiful but staff is awful. So rude and entitled, especially the ‘’manager.”Not to mention they openly talk bad about other customers. Was walking my dog one the days and the staff was outside saying awful things about one of the people staying at the park. I ended up recording it because that is not ok of them as ‘professionals’ talking like that about someone . If your name is Tyler and you see this, contact me and I will send you video because they were talking about you and how they plan to get rid of you from park.Update: got a hold of the person with whom the video was about. He was not surprised at this behavior by the staff… which further proves my point.

One of my favorite spots! Its the second time weve been to this park. The sites are roomy (up to 90 feet long) and we always seem to get a decent amount of privacy. When booking your site you get the option to choose your site. You can also pick from the orange trees (for free) when theyre in season. I would recommend this place.

We were there in April and it was very pleasant. The smell of orange blossoms was very lovely. There were trains that came through but we barely noticed. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers were huge. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and accepted our phone reservation with no problem. We are going to come back on our way home, and are looking forward to it.

This park is in an old orange grove. There are orange trees on every site and you are encouraged to pick them. The staff in the office are very friendly and polite. We got stranded due to a snow storm and they managed to get us in a space for an extra night. The maintenance guy is very friendly also. We had a nice conversation while he was filling a propane tank for me. The park is off the beaten path, so it is nice and quiet. We stayed here in the winter so we didnt get to use the pool.

Sraff was great. Place is clean, we will be backUpdateThis has always been our go to in town, this time I have concerns, the roads are a hot mess. Roads are literally falling apart. There is a section that is sinking, a 5 ft diameter hole at the entrance that maintains has had to fill with gravel. For some reason they have dug giant pits under ground to get away from the leach lines for the septic, I spent 2 weeks smelling sewer coming up from the sewer cover plates. One of the best things about this place is it’s always clean and the sites are always clean weed free. Not so much any longer. I understand this park was bought by an investment company and deep down they really don’t care but there lack of maintenance will destroy what has been the best park in Bakersfield. I’m not sure we will come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Orange Grove. This was our second time staying at this RV park. It’s well maintained, quiet and relaxing. There was plenty of open spaces so our kids were able to roam with us and enjoy walking around. We were able to get a pull through site with our trailer that’s over 40ft and we were able to stay hooked up to our truck which made for a easy departure the next morning! I would recommend stopping here.

One of our absolute favorite RV parks! Just far enough outside of town that we felt very safe! The scenery is gorgeous and youre surrounded by orange trees! Theres several fenced areas for dogs to run and play and a lovely pool (but the water is absolutely freezing!!). This is one of the coolest parks we have stayed in. It is literally located in an orange grove, so you are surrounded by beautiful orange trees while you camp. The spaces are large and level with full hookups. The hosts were super nice and the whole place was a joy. When the oranges are in season, you are able to pick them right off the trees to take with you! If you stay here, be sure to check out the California Fruit Depot just down the road for produce, nuts and more treats!

The places was awesome. Bathrooms were spotless. Nice showers. Each rv spot is between orange trees. There is a mock western town for the kids. There is lots of nice walking areas for dogs. Very quiet. We dropped in. The park was full, so they put us in the overflow. It was the same experience without hookups. Since we are in a couple Jeeps, this worked great. The workers were very nice. I went to tip the guy who filled my propane. He refused the tip and said it was part of his job! Wow!We had a great experience!

Loved this RV resort. Easy reservations and check in. Huge level, pull-through sites. We could fit our 5th wheel, tow vehicle, and car with room to spare. We were only here for one night and didnt even have to unhook. The laundry was close so I was able to get that done. The laundry room had a cool app so I didnt even need to get quarters. We were able to pick oranges for fresh squeezed orange juice. The cost was the same as we paid the night previously for someplace not nearly as nice. I totally would stay here again.

My wife is a travel nurse so we just finished an 12 week stay. It was great!!!. The park is very quite and everyone was friendly. The gym is very nice with a good selection of equipment. The location was perfect for us because the hospital was only a few miles from the resort. Leeann was the best. Very attentive and patient. She helped to make our stay very pleasant. We will definitely be going back.

I made reservation and 10 minutes later realized they were closer than I thought so I called back to cancel. 2 days later I realized they did not give any refund. I called and they said they could refund all but $25.So they charged me $25 for entering my card in their computer. Coming from AZ to Bay Area it was convenient stopping place but never again!

We made the mistake of going to Kern River Campground owned by the county. We quickly left and came to Orange Grove RV Park. Excellent staff, beautiful park, big lots and extremely clean. Electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Xfinity cell reception was 5g 5 bars. Multiple dog parks and runs. Swimming pool, 2 bath houses, store and more. Orange trees everywhere. Did I say it is clean? Clean clean clean. Plus they have ice cream. I love this place.

We stayed for 1 week over Thanksgiving. The sites are clean with a table and several orange trees at each site. There are multiple laundry facilities throughout the park, and the one we used was very clean. We did not use the restrooms, showers or exercise room. We were looking forward to using the pool table, but were curtly informed that it was closed by the lady working at the front desk. We assumed that we had misunderstood the hours it was open, or it was being cleaned. When we came back later that day to try again a different lady at the desk kindly explained that the area was closed while they are upgrading their wifi systems as they needed the space for storage. We will definitely consider staying here again when traveling through the Bakersfield area.

This location is awesome for a stop over if you are transiting in the 58, they are one turn off the highway. With a ton of orange trees between you and the highway which cut down the noise.Their late check in process is flawless. The orange Grove aspect is fantastic. The only places for improvement, the sewer hookup has two options and the lower one was stuck and the upper one is so high even with a hose holder I had to elevate my hose manually to empty it. And, The sites are gravel, not a huge negative, but not quite as nice as paved.

We arrived yesterday and are blown away by this place from the very start we pulled into a very clean and organized facility.Immediately received our paperwork and map and easily pulled into our spot. We have stayed at a ton of resorts over our last few months of our Route 66 adventure and this place is by far superior. Laundry rooms are spotless and run on an app from your phone!! Bathrooms spotless and spacious. Not only is there a lounge area for guest with a pool table and very beautiful rustic feeling den. It has a rec room and a all purpose room equips with stove cooking utensils etc!!!10/10 They have done a great job very happy we have found this resort!!! We highly recommend this park to anyone from pricing to cleanliness we are extremely pleased!!!

We have been here about a week and have had to keep extending our stay by the day. Even though they have been getting fully booked they have managed to super accommodating by letting us stay longer. Best RV park we have been to. We have been to various RV parks throughout California and Orange RV park has the best WiFi service we have ever experienced by FAR!!! The scenery is very beautiful and there is a really nice Fruit Depot within walking distance that sells awesome snacks/fruit. Orange grove has orange trees all over and the oranges are SOOO good. You are allowed to eat then as long as you don’t damage the trees or climb on them. We wish we could stay here forever.

Stayed here as a middle point between Utah (Zion) and San Francisco and it worked out well. Well maintained park with oversized pull through spots. Hookups are a bit far back so we didnt bother as Id have to unhook the car trailer behind the motorhome to have used them. Aside from that everything worked out really well! Three off leash dog runs, abundant oranges you can pick and enjoy, and staff was friendly too.

One of our favorite RV parks, but we’re always just passing through and stopping for a day. The park is kept spotless. Clean laundry facilities. Several small fenced in dog park areas, some with grass. Easy no haste online booking, check in was even easier with out reservation and a map hanging on the board outside. The 90 foot pull through was very easy to get set up in and plenty big for our large RV with five slides. We stayed there last week and will be there again this week on our way back through. Highly recommend.

Set close to highway amidst and orange tree grove that buffers the worst of the noise. Beware though that there is an active railroad close by and you will hear lots of trains all night.Campsites are well spaced and flat. All hook ups are available including sewer, electric, water and cable. Each site also has a picnic table.There is a small pool that was too cold to try when we were there.Several well maintained restroom facilities throughout the camp. One has a gym and there are several places to do laundry. On Friday morning they served coffee and donuts.Despite the background noise, its a good place to stay and would come back.T-mobile 2 bars at 5g.Wifi is excellent and good enough for streaming which is rare in any campground.

Spaces are level and large enough for our 41ft rig with two vehicles. The oranges wasnt ripe while we was there but it was still really nice to walk among the trees. Don’t arrive after 5 pm or you won’t get codes to the bathroom. Ridiculous when I’ve paid $50 for essentially nothing more than a gravel parking spot for my van. The wifi didn’t work and the train nearby is very loud. Complete waste of money. I wish I could get a refund. It’s really unpleasant to wake up surrounded by people and have to hunt someone down to let you use the bathroom when you paid so much to be there in the first place.

We recently stayed at Orange Grove RV park. First and foremost this is a great RV park, a gem and hidden treasure. The park is spacious, clean and well maintained. The bathroom showers and common areas are some of the cleanest weve ever seen. Now the downside. Unless you are familiar with this park, there would be no way to be aware that there is an old part and a new part. Since this was our first time there, we were unaware of this. The person at the front desk didnt make us aware of this either. When we arrived the park was pretty much empty with the exception of a few campers who had checked in. We realize that there are always those with reservations who show up later, however she piled everyone who showed up after we got there right next to each other while leaving the new area wide open with many spacious RV spots available. We have RVed all over the country and the majority of the parks where we stay will allow you to go through the park and select the space you like. While this was a very pleasant stay, being piled on top of each other with many other open spaces for not only us, but for other campers as well, to be able to have more privacy and space was disconcerting. If you went to a car dealer, you wouldnt want the salesperson to pick your car and then say you have to pay for it because theres no other options. We are the paying customer...give us what we want..

Very noisy, highway and train traffic is somewhat noisy, but the street car and motorcycle racing especially on Friday and Saturday nights is ridiculous. And thats without mentioning the midnight street car racing crash at the front gate and the resulting police chase, police helicopter surveillance and gun shots afterwards.The orange trees throughout the park and freedom to pick oranges was very nice. Orange Grove RV Park was our 88th stop and we stayed for 2 nights nights as a transit point to Sequoia National Park. Checked in without engaging office staff but found them pleasant when returning to the office to ask a question. The park was large and nicely laid out, the roads were paved and easy to navigate and two of the three small dog parks had grass. This site had a gravel surface that was level on pull up – not a common occurrence – and was long but the hook ups were more toward the front of the site. They had a fairly extensive cable tv listing (59 digital channels), good over the air access to channels but the WiFi was non-existent. When hooking up to the utilities, there was no water pressure as they have been working on a pump issue for a week – they had information posted on the office door and in the information packet. The issue was not with the water itself but in the lack of communication to incoming guests regarding the situation. There have been a number of parks who have had issues come up and they communicated days or weeks in advance about the issue by mail, email, phone call or text offering us a chance to cancel or modify our reservations – we did not make any changes. With the water issue, we could have bought more water in advance. But knowing about a potential issue before arriving is good business. In terms of connectivity: WiFi had technical difficulties; T-Mobile 3.79 down/3.68 up; Verizon 119.0 down/25.0 up. Would stay here again if in the area.

This is our second day here, husband and I travel for work and have been to quite a few RV parks. This place is not bad, but their is a few issues I wish I was warned before we signed up. The WiFi is almost none existent so if you are looking to use that for any work forget it. We stayed here in July ... during the parks slow season. The office staff were very nice. The park is nice ... sites are spacious nestled among rows and rows of orange trees. Youre allowed to pick them when they are ripe (Dec - Mar). Thought it was odd that they spaced all of their short stay people so far apart from each other. Made meeting the other campers a bit hard. Was a bit worried about the park not being pet friendly after reading some reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. There are walking areas that have scoops & rakes plus an enclosed off leash area. The electric was solid (could run all 3 acs). Only complaint was poor quality of the water. Shopping is about 8-10 miles away. Would stay here again!

My wife and I have stayed here many times over the last 5 years and both the cost, $57.75 /nt. and the noise continue to increase. You get a symphony of highway, frontage road and train noise all night long. Then around 5:00 am, the long term stay folks start their noisy diesel trucks to go to work. When the oranges are ripe the cost and the noise may be worth it, if you wear earplugs at night. If the oranges are not ripe, try somewhere else. Be sure to look at the fine print on the reservation summary document that you get when you pay >> they do not give refunds or vouchers if you have to leave early for reasons beyond your control( i.e. family emergencies). This is what happened to us the last time we stayed. It would be easier for me to understand this policy if the park was full and they had to turn away business, but this was not the case because it was less than 1/2 full with many open spaces.This at a minimum is a bad business practice, no one likes to pay for something they dont receive! We emailed Orange Grove RV Park regarding this issue and they never replied. Not great customer service - we wont be back.

We stopped here for the night on our way to Banning. I loved that it is right off the freeway with easy access. Once inside, the roads are a bit narrow. I have a 43 foot 5th wheel and srill found it relatively easy to get to my space. I had to pull forward almost all the way so my kitchen slideout would avoid tree branches, but that didnt bother me (1st world problems). The spaces are nice and level with great angles for pulling in/out. The entire place was clean and well taken care of. You can tell they take pride in this place. Our first stay here was last night. We love it and will be back! Where we were put (site 41) was quiet all night. We are from the country and most RV parks are too noisy for us, but this was perfect. Very nice man in another site that is probably here monthly let us pick his oranges as his site had an abundance. Coffee and donuts put out at 7:00, I could do without the donuts. Lol... but this is a vacation so I had my first donut in 5 years. One upgrade Id suggest... a hot tub. We will only be through here during the winter and its too cool for using the pool. Orange Grove RV Park is an amazing destination or place to stay on your way to or from your other RV travels. The staff is friendly and professional, the sites are well marked, clean and easy to access. The MAP of the park is easy to read and if you do have reservations but arrive late, your site info will be in an envelope by the office with directions to your site clearly highlighted. The park is literally located in an orange grove and in January through late February they are in season. You are allowed to pickk oranges in designated areas and they are incredibly tasty. The showers and bathrooms are some of the best I have seen and the facility is taken care if with a fine tooth comb. In o ever to get the advertised best rate, you must make s reservation. Easy access from interstate, sites are between rows of orange trees. Nice, level gravel sites, full hookup, wide asphalt driveways between rows. Didnt get a chance to check out the bathrooms, we used our trailer, it was a short stay. Nice management, they left info on open sites on board outside of the office, for after hours arrivals.Would return if in the area again.

Nice large and very attractive RV park with many orange trees throughout, but there are issues. Paved streets make for easy access to your large pull through lot but everywhere else is filled with gravel with lots of dirt and dust. Zero grass! Most importantly, trains go by every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day blasting their horns. Add to that the highway traffic noise and it makes for a difficult nights sleep. Honestly, I liked the park visually, with all the right amenities but the trains drove us crazy. Give it a try as long as you are aware of the issues. Priced at $45 with Good Sams Discount. Big Rig and dog friendly.

Very clean, lots of orange trees growing inside and outside of the park. Quiet, big spaces, and fair price. My only complaints are that you have to have a newer rv less than 15 years old (might be 10 yrs), anything older requires approval and very strict about this and its a ways out there and everything is about 5+ miles away, so plan activities accordingly. Staff is nice and welcoming. Always willing to help.

We frequently take the TV from San Jose to Mojave/Vegas/Utah. 7 hours is my max drive in a day. This place was recommended by a friend. Very clean, efficient, safe with friendly guests. We even saw a cool frog during our evening stroll. If you need food, go up the road west to the food truck on the south side of 58. Highly recommend both.

Perfect for the single night, or for months at a a time. The campground is clean & tidy. Somewhat off the beaten path for the north /south travelers, but worth it for a respite for weary drivers. This location is not really rustic at all, with no natural features, but mature orange trees line each parking space. The scent is glorious and you can pick oranges from the trees if you so desire. Note that you can hear trains passing by, but not super close so it wasnt a problem for us. Upon checkout we were invited to help ourselves to coffee, cocoa, & donuts provided in the office. It was a nice touch as we hit the road for another long travel day.

Orange Grove RV is my always stop when I travel. Kids can pick oranges, nice/clean place. Last time due to schedule change they helped me a lot to park in overflow with water and electricity! Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay here in our 44’ motorhome. The park is easy to maneuver in and is nicely laid out. WiFi worked great allowing us to stream video, with our booster antenna. The park allowed us to store the coach onsite in their overflow area with 30 amp, while we visited family in northern CA for a few days. The oranges we managed to pick were delicious.

A road closure over the summit of the Tehachapi Mountains found us back tracking from our eastbound route back to Orange Grove to spend the night. The park is located right off Highway 58, with very easy on and off access. Clean and neat and well maintained, each site has a couple orange trees right outside your door. And you can pick some to eat! We didnt have time to explore most of the amenities, but we did enjoy the clean showers! We enjoyed our unexpected stay, and would definitely stay again if we have the chance. Friendly and helpful staff were appreciated! Oh...and they have free coffee & donuts in the mornings!

We stayed here for a one night stay on our way through. This is a fantastic RV park. Booking was easy and checking in was prompt. The park is extremely clean with orange trees through out that you can pick from. Although it wasnt season, we still had a great time going around and looking. This was our 3rd stay/visit and despite the park being at low capacity we lost a good night sleep due to the frequent trains running nearby all night and then the staff operating leaf blowers just before 9 am. When I checked in, I requested a level, wide and quiet site. We were assigned site 154. I didnt realize all other coaches and vehicles coming in would be driving by just feet from our truck bumper. No pool access or working WiFi. Going to look elsewhere in the future.

This is a very nice RV park, with orange trees between each space. They provide free coffee and doughnuts and fruit pickers & bags to pick the oranges off the trees in the back lot during orange harvest time. The park is clean and the staff have been friendly and helpful every time we stayed there. I havent noticed any problems with the water or the water pressure.

The most organized and clean RV park we have been in so far.Very clear instructions for late night check in.Close to the highway for easy access but not too close as you don’t hear highway noise.Very large sites with full hookups and cable TV and Wi-Fi.Restrooms were large and sparkling clean and they have a large laundry room.They even have a RV wash!

Wonderful RV park nestled amongst the beauty and incredible smell of the orange trees! My family and I love this place so much! It’s beautiful, clean and the staff are marvelous! Truly so many amenities - just to name a few - large well kept bathrooms, plenty of laundry facilities, fenced dog parks (and multiple doggie bag stations), spacious rv sites, pooltable/lodge, and a refreshing deep (8ft) outdoor pool to cool off from the scorching Bakersfield sun. Staff are with out a doubt the icing on the cake as they are genuinely friendly and helpful! Maintenance even stopped to help my sisters and I blow up our gigantic pool pineapple float!!! Clean, good price, easy access, friendly staff. Now the downside... make a reservation. This place fills up fast. Lots of spaces, but overflow puts you right next to a noisy county road... so noisy are some trucks that you cannot carry on a conversation.Highway noise from nearby 58 is not bad. RR is on the other side of the freeway... you can hear it, but it is only just a bit louder than romantic.Pool, laundry, clean big showers, RV store, decent gravel sites. Most sites are full hookup... but not overflow sites... just water and power. Full sites are pull through. Ask to get a southwest corner for the least noise.Make a reservation.Oh... the orange trees... loads and loads of orange trees... oranges to take and eat. Nice and sweet. Ask the office for a picker pole and grab a dozen or so. They are great.

Best time in our opinion to visit is in late December when its the perfect time to pick the oranges that are readily available in each pull thru. They have an awesome set up the dog park is situated among a orchard of Valencia orange trees. Come and pi k as many as you need. There is nothing better in life than tasting this variety of tasty juicy sweetest fresh off the tree to eat. Awesome.

This is the best place we have stayed near Bakersfield by far! The restrooms are very nice. We have stayed at all other RV parks near Bakersfield, and this one is so quiet by comparison. Convenient to Hwy 58 with all pull-thrus, parking for your extra car, paperwork correct for late arrival, no gate code, convenient pet area near check in, always hot coffee in the morning.

Our camping group stayed at Orange Grove RV park in Bakersfield, CA last weekend... it was HOT!!! we had rented the barn for our group meals and activities but even with the large fans going it was still hot... The manager LeeAnne opened up their beautiful air conditioned Lodge for our use... but the excellence in service didnt end there... they also gave us free ice for the weekend and let us use two of their golf carts.. one of them being the limo which seats 6... we were able to enjoy their swimming pool (water was at a perfect temperature), they opened the back gate so we could take the group to the fruit and nut shop in the golf carts, and they just went out of their way to make our trip perfect.So a HUGE thank you to LeeAnne, Miguel, Jose and Kim... we will definitely be back... you turned this weekend into a very, very nice stay... and it could have been a disaster with the 111 degree weather.

So much fun picking all those delicious jewels🍊😋 Bathroom/showers were immaculate👍 Loads of doggie bags/disposal stations, so the grounds are almost always poop-free👍A great addition to the park would be a dog washing station. So many of us travel with our pups, and its difficult to find a place to bathe them. One 5-Star park in Greenfield, Yanks, has one, andthe dog wash is one big reason we always stop there when were headed home (Nipomo) from up north on 101.DO wish the grounds maintenance staff would clean up the fallen/decaying oranges. Kind of a yucky obstacle course for us & the dogs to navigate at times😣Overall, a really delightful park, and we always look forward to a return visit😊 ☺🐶

Very nice, good sized park, conveniently located near Bakersfield. Nice facilities, decent sized spaces for our 33 ft. trailer and crewcab Super Duty. They supply the orange picking tools and you just go out in the grove next to the park and pick your fill of fresh oranges. Gas and diesel nearby just off freeway. Worth the stop.

I paid for a week in advance. I noticed everytime i left my RV was broken into. On the 3rd day i brought it to staffs attention, and decided i couldnt stay and feel safe. Not only was i teased and disrespected by staff, but i was denied a refund for the days i didnt stay. They also have creepy surveillance vans throughout the property. A surprise, given the location, I expected a dirt lot but this place is nice, well groomed with extra features. Easy back-in or pull through. Very helpful staff. Plenty of places to walk your dog. Even big enough you can stretch your legs with a good walk or even a bike ride. But there is nothing nearby. And the store there may-not be open.

A BIG thank you to Miguel!!! We arrived on Thursday, April 1. Unfortunately this one time we did not make reservations in advance and made them the day of. They only had overflow openings,we arrived about 3:00. We were escorted around and when they saw that we were a 42ft RV towing a Ford pick-up. MIQUEL drove us around to the backside of the orchard (No water or sewer hook-up)but 50 amp :). We were low on water in the RV never thinking that we couldn’t find an opening but Miguel came through with a hose and set us up.He was so accommodating, very friendly and very helpful. A nice RV park with lots of pull throughs. We brought our camper van and have plenty of space and a picnic table. Have a nice pool excellent bathrooms with excellent showers and lots and lots of space to walk your dog. The only issue for us is that its dirt and not grass. But considering that this is the desert I guess we cant be too picky. :-) also, I originally rated this place for 4-stars. But after visiting other RV parks in California and Arizona I came back and reassessed it to 5-stars.

BEWARE of System Site Changes - $20 Lock Fee RealityOK, to be fair, this is a very clean and well-maintained park. We are repeat customers (B4 lock fees) and recently decided to stay again during our RV travels. However, I think it is important to advise other RVers as to how your site appears to be assigned...or re-assigned to be exact.So I personally call the park and Site 153 is recommended to me by a very courteous and helpful lady named Laurie (I think that was her name) as I review the map for preferred sites. 153 is an end-cap, has shade and is private...exactly what we were looking for.While booking site 153, it asks if you want to lock in your spot for another $20 (35% of original fee) only stating that the system may re-assign the spot, but as site availability was considerable for that date, I opted not to as it felt a bit like I was being squeezed even more (online booking fee, occupancy surcharge, etc.)...and again, there were a lot of vacancies. Stupid me...Big Mistake trusting that my site would not be re-assigned to the next highest bidder.Sure enough, we show up on our date and site 153 had already been re-assigned (see photo). The six rows on the south side were about 15% occupied so there were PLENTY of open pull-thru spaces (see photo). The office was closed so l could not address it at that time. My only question would have been why re-assign our spot? if there is plenty of availability...of course we all know the answer to that...but lets go ahead and blame the system.Anyhow, not sure when lock fees came into existence, but I think its bad business and poor taste in the above context of availability. For one, I will NEVER return to this park again and we are pretty prolific RVers. If you are prepared to pay $80 total (on a weekday) to lock in a site on the outskirts of Bakersfield, this is your place.As for the park itself, the sites are on gravel/dirt so prepare for that and did require about 4-5 of leveling. OK dog park. Be advised, the RV park is not close to local amenities & will require a 15-20 min drive anywhere to eat or shop. Other items:- Limited/no lighting to punch in codes at bathrooms, gym, etc. Unless you are good at Braille, bring a flashlight.- WiFi very spotty & our new re-assigned site was a stones throw from the main office. You will not be able to stream at all, however, they do offer a good cable lineup.- Very low water pressure in the showers. Water in Cold position still very hot/warm. Not exactly what is needed when its 105 outside.- The exit is controlled by a proximity gate, but there is no signage informing you of this until you are 10 from the closed gate in small print. OK, the appearance is the gate is closed/locked. Who wants to roll up to the closed gate in a 40 RV towing not knowking if they will need to reverse out or unhook? Attendant said thats a known issue & additional signage should be at hairpin exit sign. As we arrived after-hours, it appeared closed/locked.Alternately, BAKERSFIELD RIVER RUN RV PARK offers more level/stable/ample sites, ASSIGNED spots with no lock fees, manicured green pastures, and better onsite and nearby amenities - for less than a non-lock fee site at Orange Grove. Highly recommend them.

Love the Orange Grove park with all the help yourself sweet oranges. I dont like how the dog park were always placed by is a muddy mess because of the sprinklers, not rain. No one would use it. There are two other smaller grassy parks. When we ask to move there we are always told they are completely booked. Yet many sites sit empty all night and morning. Thats my only gripe.

Dont drink the water. They wont tell you their well water didnt pass inspection. It is posted somewhere. Water pressure was very poor at our site and the dirt was everywhere. Ill be honest, my experience with A Country RV Park wasnt the greatest on Earth and I wasnt holding out hope for Orange Grove, either. It seems to me that of the most friendly and hospitable places on the map, Bakersfield, California strikes me as disappointing and underwhelming, absolutely the antithesis of friendly and hospitable. In fact, by and large, I would strongly advise folks to stick to the highway and pass right on through town becaue the folks who live here are the stuff that horror stories are made of with respect to their attitude and actions.I didnt expect that Orange Grove RV Park was realistically going to be any different and I worked up the determination to muscle through with the ambivalent staff in the office and bite my tongue when I was paying for my space never dreaming that what Id see when I worked my way in after having checked in was a lush, sweetly aromatic, cool, and quiet break away from the norm and a world away from the rest of Bakersfield.Thats not to say that they dont have their own set of drawbacks, I took the star away because they charge extra for spots with sewer access and that just doesnt compute with me. But folks, seriously, this place is a little gem in the desert southwest and a surprise just waiting to be disovered... That would be your cue Ladies and Gents; go kick up your feet, relax among the shade trees (lets face it folks, it didnt get its name being built in an orchard or a cranberry bog) or sit in for the night. Its easy to do, the place has a serenely quiet, peaceful quality to it that is unmistakable for the weary traveler or the wide eyed drifter, and relaxation beckons like a sirens call.Dont worry about being disturbed; these people arent like that and their professional invisibility could on no account be mistaken for ambivalence... Not even their laid back manner gives the impression that theyd rather be doing something else. They really do seem like theres nowhere else theyd rather be and they were most unworried about an extra few minutes I needed to get everything packed up and ready to go. I overslept. Go figure.

Staff was awesome, so friendly, efficient, and helpful! Pull through sites accommodate travelers just passing through. Many rigs, including us, didnt unhook this 5th wheels. Just a spot to stay right now with covid-19. Pulled up and had to wait for office to open up. One other waiting also. The office girl shows up in about 5 min. Without mask, which is required for anyone to enter. All customers had one on that came and went while I was standing there. Pool and bathrooms are all closed, as they should be. Road and rv spots are gravel. Nothing special. On the good side, all hookups work, we had a nice big shade tree, and it was fairly quiet.

My husband and I have stayed at Orange Grove RV Park several times and will continue to do so as our overnight stop place. The sights are HUGE like big-rig huge and we dont ever have to unhitch our tow vehicle and the place is immaculate and well maintained and we love the wonderful orange trees that are strategically placed to separate each campsite and its extremely easy to maneuver our 36 motorhome + tow while there. I wish every RV park resembled this place! Someone mentioned trains ... well the trains are distant from this location and one has to pay close attention to realize that they are passing through the town somewhere. The inner roads leading to the sites are blacktop and ample and the sites themselves are gravel and very level. We dont mind the gravel due to this place has a lot going for it in all other aspects. We highly recommend staying here; so glad they exist!
