Dr Chavez is a great Doctor. Already recommended OMG to several friends. Great attention to detail and follow up. They really care about the patient. JZ their nutritionist and fitness trainer is excellent as well. She picks up on the little things and is a great person to have on the team. OMG identified several issues that were not identified by my previous Doctor. Very much appreciate the professionalism and knowledge Dr Chavez, JZ and the team have toward me the patient.

I love Optimal Medical group!!! They helped me jumpstart on my weight loss journey for the better and long term! They are so detailed and actually care for the patient! The best part is the nutritionist (Jayzee)!! She is so caring and is great with following weekly and providing great recipes for a busy life!!! Dr. Chaves saved my life. My regular Dr. had overlooked a heart problem for years. Dr. Juan found it. A week later I had a stent put in and now I feel great. The team at Optimal Medical Group is extraordinary. I was unable to sleep for years and with the help of their lifestyle counselor JZ along with their medical intervention, I feel so good, Im sleeping and I am functioning much clearer at work.Getting a hold of your doctor isnt easy. And getting on their schedule is even more challenging. With the concierge service at OMG, the doctor gets back to me within a day. The level of service I receive from both Doctors and JZ is exceptional and extremely helpful!

Great experience with Dr. Chavez, the OMG team and JZ! I learned some pretty critical things about myself and my health and am working the path that was set up for me. Dr. Juan’s recommendations have completely lowered some scary BP readings down to normal. JZ has been great on the fitness and diet end and she’s all over it. Great to have instant contact with everyone. Feeling great and seeing serious results medically and physically. When I graduated college, I went into corporate America and ended up gaining 20 pounds. I’ve tried multiple diets, and nothing seemed to stick. The OMG Lean program is finally working. I get to work with the awesome coach JZ, who speaks with me every week and not only teaches me about optimal nutrition, but she has become the lifestyle coach who has helped me realize what triggers me to not follow the plan. My son has been a client of Optimal Medical Group for a few months now. He is only 16 years of age and has learned so much of how to not only lose weight but be healthy and feel better. Started with the hormone program, joined the weight loss program almost a year ago and upped to the full service about 6 months ago. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Juan and Dr. Lucia and all the staff. I am down 45 pounds, in the best health and shape of my life. I am so grateful. It took me 60 days to solidify my routine and I am happy to say I finally got it down. I got my grocery list in order; I meal prep every weekend. I work out 5 days a week. I have got so many healthy options in my fridge and pantry. Im overall grateful for the impact the JZ fitness program has been on my life. Where do I start? If I learn one thing is that that I cannot fight reality because reality always wins. At OMG Ive learned how to work with reality and feel very good in my body again. I’m doing OMGs medically supervised weight loss program and to date I’m 22.2 lbs down only 9 weeks later! This has been the most guidance I’ve ever received in my journey to be healthy and their nutrition and fitness counselor Jenn Zerling has been most effective - I was seeing a nutritionist and a psychotherapist before and I got no results with them. JZ has taught me more in 9 weeks than I’ve learned in 5 years.In only 9 weeks my whole world is right side up and the future looks extraordinary. This is what healthcare SHOULD be. You start with a pretty hefty blood draw for labs that cover it all, and you review these in great detail in your comprehensive first appointment that is 4-5 hours long (with the actual Doctor!) They cover absolutely EVERYTHING wellness related in this appointment;weight health, mental health, sexual health, heart health, hormonal health, the list goes on. There isnt anything he doesnt look into. How many people get 4 hours with a Doctor to discuss health? You even get to enjoy a meal with the Dr. in between.Dr. Chavez is so incredibly passionate about YOUR health and wellness. As if all of that isnt enough, he will even respond to text messages. I dont know how he does it, he is always available for his patients. I dont wait for anything. The staff is so very responsive, kind, professional, and just on top of it all. Every single annoyance you have about Doctors and their offices is a NON-ISSUE here. And on the beauty side? Well, theres Dr. Lucia. After entertaining a tummy tuck, liposuction, and all sorts of things for my mom bod, Dr. Lucia got me all taken care of with a quick recovery Body Tite treatment. I had it done on a Tuesday and was working out by Thursday! I was awake for the whole procedure, not in pain, no drains, no long recovery, and Im so satisfied with my result. Im still a little swollen but I would be happy with my right now result, so to think it is still going to get better is SO exciting! Dr. Juan and Dr. Lucia are a one-two punch for all your health and beauty needs.

My wife and I have been patients at Optimal Medical Group for a couple of years now. As an attorney with over 30 years of striving for excellence in client service, I expect other professionals to deliver the type of service I deliver to my clients. We have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and levels of service we receive at OMG. I have a number of health issues that can be quite challenging when considered in connection with one another. During my first visit with Dr. Chavez, we were discussing a couple of my issues. He actually called some of the specialists that I see for specific issues right there on the spot, which I have never seen another doctor do. He regularly has staff reach out to me to see if I need anything in specific. Again, we are quite impressed with the level of service we receive at OMG. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

In 2017 I was 330 pounds, had diabetes, high blood pressure and just suffered a mild stroke. I knew that I had to change. I saw a commercial and called Optimal Medical. I started with Optimal Medical Group on January 6, 2022. The results have been amazing and worth every penny. I had been working on my fitness goals the year prior and had lost 40lbs in a year on my own. I felt like I was wandering in a dark room looking for a light switch to make me healthy and fit. My weight would go up and down, then plateau. Even though I lost weight I didn’t feel healthy and was always fatigued. I would change my diet based on the next social media video.Once I started the program with Dr. Chavez, I knew I was in the right place. Dr. Chavez did a thorough physical exam and blood work; as well as a Dexa body scan. I learned so much about my body and where I was at physically. Even though I had lost weight, I was still unhealthy and blood work was horrible. Meeting Dr. Chavez and starting hormone replacement therapy changed my life! At 49 I thought I was too young to be starting menopause, but I was having horrible mood swings, hot flashes and sleepless nights. I had to have a hysterectomy at a young age and went to every major medical center you can think of on the west coast to receive treatment for hormones. Several months ago, I was looking for a place that offered Dexa Scans. I found Optimal Medical Group (OMG) online. I did not realize at the time how this simple search would lead to an all-new medical experience for me. I just received the most comprehensive exam Ive ever experienced from Dr. Juan Chavez and his staff today (2/8/21). Before hearing about Optimal Medical Group I had no idea what Age Management medicine was, but after experiencing it first-hand I think this is the way all medicine should strive to emulate.......I think its a paradigm shift from the way most physicians practice medicine today.Age management isnt just about aesthetics, but rather they attempt to slow the aging process with the goal of extending the patients life and also improving the patients quality of life. They place a huge emphasis on proper nutrition and exercise, but prescribe medicine if its needed. The goal is to transform the patient into a much healthier and happier person through natural means and only use medications when absolutely necessary.They also monitor the patients hormone levels to ensure they are balanced which also leads to a much greater quality of life. Before my appointment my libido was in the gutter and I felt tired all the time. After my lab tests came back he discovered my Testosterone levels were very very low. He prescribed hormone replacement therapy and it has been a game changer......my libido is back and I genuinely feel better.During my first appointment with Dr. Chavez he spent over 6 hours on me alone (before this assessment Id never had a physician spend more than 30 minutes during my appointment).....he did an extensive history and physical where I could ask him any medical questions I had. He evaluated my fitness level using an incredibly accurate strategy called VO2 max that determined how fit I actually was and to establish my baseline. He then used a scanner to evaluate exactly how much muscle, bone density, and body fat I have (he even was able to tell me how much fat I had surrounding my internal organs which was very very impressive), he evaluated my current cognitive abilities, and he spent a very long time detailing proper nutrition to help me achieve my goals. He ordered numerous labs and then spent the time to discuss each and every lab result and what the values mean.Before I left the appointment he gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to text him if I had any questions whatsoever.......every time Ive texted him he has responded with 30 minutes (frequently within less than 10 minutes). Its so refreshing to be able to talk to my physician whenever I have a question vs. my previous medical care in which Id have to make an appointment which would cause a delay in my treatment. Often it would be weeks before my old primary care doctor had an opening and could see me.The results from Optimal Medical Group speak for themselves.....Ive lost quite a bit of body fat and have dropped 1-2 pant sizes (several of my friends who were also treated had very similar results). And I feel happier and healthier than I have in the past 10 years.....plus I feel so much more energetic.....before going to the appointment Id very often feel fatigued, but the increased energy levels have helped tremendously and Ive been able to work significantly more than I was able to when I was so fatigued.This is BY FAR the best medical care I have ever received and its worth every penny. I had the awesome opportunity to meet with Dr. Chavez after consulting with several other doctors regarding fatigue, low libido, high cholesterol, high triglycerides and pre-diabeties. I had also been battling with being over weight, and no matter how much I exercised or dieted, the weight would not come off. I had been battling these issues for the past 7 years.After a 6 hour consultation with Dr. Chavez, which included a detailed medical history, a through medical exam, Vo2 max test, a nutrition and excercise program. He also went over in detail my labs results and was absolutely confident that my above issues could be corrected. During his evaluation of my labs results, Dr. Chavez found that I had a thyroid issue and low vitamin D in which other doctors said were normal. These were in the low normal range. Dr. Chavez then prescribed a thyroid medication along with a vitamin D supplement.After 3 months of following Dr. Chavezs nutrition and exercise program, I lost weight, my vitamin D levels improved dramatically, Im no longer fatigued, my libido improved, my cholesterol dropped 64 points, my triglycerides dropped significantly and Im not longer pre-diabetic.
