Really enjoyed my experience here! The staff were kind and friendly, and the doctor was thorough and gentle! They all did a great job of explaining each step in the eye exam process and even went over my bill and insurance coverage with me line by line! Highly recommend!

Dr. Chew and his staff are great. They try to maximize my insurance benefits. They follow-up on pending orders. Scheduling an appointment is very easy. They communicate by phone, email or text. They have some very stylish and beautiful frames. But the best part is their new location has plenty of parking.

This is my second year as a patient with them. They are courteous, extremely efficient, have a great variety of frames to choose from, perfect location, and I feel that I always learn something new about my eyes.

Been coming here for years for my eye care. Excellent service and quality assurance. They actually moved to a new location just half a block away to a newly developed building. I would recommend this place to anyone. You will be in good care with the staff.

We’ve been customers of Optica Optometry for 15+ years. Dr. Chew is an excellent doctor, who has many years experience and provided dedicated service to his customers. The optician William is very professional, patient, and highly skilled in measurements and adjustments. The entire office of south San Francisco office team members are very nice. I recommend this office to anyone.

I picked up my new glasses today. I also had an eye exam. Mikey did the eye exam for me. Everybody there was very helpful and pleasant. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I came this morning to establish care with a new Optometry provider.I had such a wonderful experience.I arrived at 9 am for my appointment. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The paperwork was easy and only 1 page (which I love). The technicians were fantastic! I loved the fact that I was able to get all my exam, imaging and contact training all in one visit. Dr. Chew was excellent in examining me and explaining everything. Lastly, their hours are extremely flexible and generous which is great for people who are on the go or have tight schedules. Thank you everyone for providing excellent care and service.

So Optica Optometry…. Where to begin…. So for starters, the parking is not ideal, if your mobility is hampered, choose a time very early in the day because their parking lot gets full easily since there are only about 20 spaces. I think some residents use it for themselves and/or their guests just because it’s convenient. I don’t mind parking at Safeway and walking my way over, but if walking is a challenge, you may just want to go elsewhere. The office is new, shiny and clean. The peeps at the reception area are nice, smiley and professional. The Dr I saw was professional, polite and thoughtful about my comfort and really good about explaining what he was doing and WHY he was doing. Def bonus points for that as I feel like that’s a lost art. The selection is good enough and they are quick without sacrificing quality of the experience. They take VSP!!!! YESSSS!!!! Overall, thumbs up and I would go again.
