Ive purchased both specific stock and brass proto boxes. They do a great job on the proto boxes. They keep requests in mind but they are pot luck by nature. Did to the high cost of shipping, I tend to do will-call in LA. I just order when I know Im going to be in the area. Ive never seen brass for a better price.

Online Metals has always been incredibly helpful if Ive had a question or a problem. Really great customer service, very friendly team. Theyve got great prices and discounts, which does matter a lot. Having a good team to work with, though, is better than a few cents off of an order. They seem to have their priorities straight, as well: good metal offering, and very easy to use website.

Cant trust this company on delivery time. I ordered material from Santa Fe Springs only 60 miles away. Order said $8.95 shipping. I needed the material soon but then got an email with a revised shipping of $18.95 and coming from Chicago.

Unfortunately the material I ordered (Full hard 301 Stainless) is drop shipped and quality control is very low. I left the material sit past the 30-day policy, so some of my fault there. The situation was related to the distractions of the Covid virus, this happened at the beginning when we all needed to fight for toilet paper and bottled water right?, but while effort was taken to try and get the source to take care of the issue, the end result was that I had to write off a total loss, material is unusually bowed. Fortunately I learned my lesson with a small sample order worth about $160, and not a production amount in the Thousands of $$$. Note the site doesnt warn of this material condition, which would have saved a lot of head aches, the site shows a nice stock photo of flat material. I need to process it on a fiber laser, and the parts needed to be relatively flat. The material bowed at least 10 inches in a length of 48 inches. I will have a hard time placing future orders with online metals.

Very quick response, above and beyond reaction and support to my situation. I am not a high volume customer but Online Metals treated me with the same respect and attention as they would one of their larger customers. Before I retired and started consulting I worked in the medical device industry as both an R&D engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. In both of those roles I experienced the importance of reliable and responsive suppliers who work with their customers and support them as partners. Easy to order and the material was delivered in a timely matter. Communication is good. there were snow delays for the shipment and customer service was quick to respond and answer all my questions. overall I like doing business with online metals and I will purchase from them next order.

I ordered a small amount of material. The wrong size was sent so I contacted customer service. Within minutes the error was corrected and I received the replacement material the next day. They now have a customer for life!

Ive been down-sizing in recent years and that includes stock material around the shop. I needed to make a couple of sturdy brackets to finish up a fireplace mantel project and discovered Online Metals. The custom ordering process on their website was user friendly, I thought the prices were fair, being in a neighboring state the shipping was quick, and all the pieces were cut the same size. Would recommend. Thanks for the great service Online Metals.

Super fast! Super friendly service! I messed up when typing my size in online. I emailed the sales email and on a Sunday they got back to me! I was not expecting to hear from anyone on a weekend! The pricing with Online Metals is much better than McMaster-Carr. One of the 2 aluminum plates I ordered arrived pretty badly bent on one quadrant, but their customer service sent another one out immediately after I sent the pictures of the damaged product. Good customer service, and products seem good so far.

The copper sheets I ordered were damaged due to poor packaging the first time around. Online Metals customer service quickly resolved the issue by immediately replacing the merchandise for free. The shipment arrived pronto without any incidence. They went to great lengths to use extra care to protect the metal in transit. Two thumbs up to these folks in Santa Fe Srpings in southern California!

Good resource, especially for tiny-small quantities. Coupons make the shipping a push, and maybe even better. They often email you 15-20% off coupons when you buy from them from time to time. Test Reports are good and complete, and customer service is available to help. And they offer tax exempt and Net 30 for business customers. They actually read the order comments field too.

Found these guys on google looking for food grade stainless steel, thought it was going to. Be a challenge with a expensive minimum....FORTUNATELY, onlinemetals.com came thru!!!Placed an order over the phone for will call here in LA. Customer service was helpful and knowledgeable, prices were great. Order was ready for pick up next day. Then placed a couple orders online. Order ready next day!Their website is easy to use, their product offerings are great. They specialize in small quantities & custom cuts. No problem if you’re not buying 10 tons of metal. Excellent. I purchase a lot of heavy duty, stainless and aluminum parts that you really cant find elsewhere. Online Metals is my go-to for metal and aluminum parts.You can have your items delivered or you can pick them up in will call. Due to the weight and the length of the items, it was more economical to pick them up in person instead of shipping.Im doing a customers gate that sustained qood rot so we decided on aluminum post instead of wood or stainless. Didnt want to deal with the potential for rust so the aluminum 4 X 4 were the only way to go. Not cheap, but definitely heavy duty and will outlive most wood species.Anyway, service was great. I gave them my order number and its retrieved quickly. The employee who helped me was courteous and professional.He was even nice enough to bring one of the post out. An A+ business that i will continue to patronize and recommend to others.As a reminder, the will call is on the south side of the building. Once in the parking lot, drive west to the chain link fence as far as you can go from Carmenita. You will see the will call entry. Enter and wall firectly north to the will call waiting area and Domaine will assist.It was a painless process.

Terrible service, ordered 2 lengths of brass, was told materials were in the warehouse and would take to days to process and I could pick it up then, then I get an email that its 8 days out, so I was left with little choice, the day came around and I called and it was not ready, called again next buisness day, and they said it was being processed and packaged, and nothing. Then I called again on the third day and they said it was on the road in Ohio and it was never at my local distributer in California. They lied the whole way thru.

First they lost my order, then it took weeks to get it, they did very little when it came to customer service, and when they did ship it i wasnt given a tracking number. I just received the product, and more than half of it is unusable due to being inferior material. Now Im out money, running short on time, and have to order from somewhere else.
