Omar is awesome!My wife & I were looking to buy our first house earlier this year and felt that we needed an agent. Man what a great decision that was! Omar is professional, organized, PATIENT, filled with knowledge, and really freaking good at his job.Being first time home-buyers, we were nervous and had a million questions. Omar helped us expertly navigate the market and find what WE wanted. He was never pushy, he was always honest, and he always had or found answers to all of our questions. Omar is also very quick to respond (either by text, call, or email) and we never had issues scheduling house tours.Buying and selling in the Bay Area can be really stressful and complicated, you need an expert that is willing to listen to what you want, but that also knows the area & market. When they say that they are in the business of making dreams a reality, they mean it a 100%! Coz they truly made ours ..Going in to work with Omar & Walter, we knew we were going in with a lot of requirements in a home & that too in this competitive Bay area market.Both having decades of experience, they were continually guiding us through everyday house hunting not only with pro tips, suggestions, recommendations but also going out of their way to help us!It took about 4 months to close on a home which checked all of our criteria (wow! For Bay Area).. Cannot appreciate Walter’s persistence working with the Seller agents to work on a deal which made sense for all. Only because of his efforts & presence of mind we were able to avoid a lot of competition & get our dream house! I worked with Omar twice, once in 2022 to sell my property, and in 2023 to buy a new one. From my experience interviewing about a dozen real estate agents and interacting with several dozen more, I can without a doubt, say that Omar easily is one of the best ones in the Bay area. Omar listens and tries his best to understand, he is very pragmatic and down to earth, quality I appreciate the most. I think Omar intuitively and over the years working in the field was able to figure out how to deal with people and he is very good at it. Its very hard to find a good professional with everyone tries to portray themselves as the best among their peers, but I think I found the one on whom me and my family can rely upon for years to come.

To say that Omar was a life saver would be an under statement. I started following him on Instagram a few years ago for no reason. I just found his marketing skills pretty amazing. At that time I had no plans to sell our house. Fast forward to two years I found myself in a very tough situation where I had to sell our house ASAP and we were in the market for a couple of months with no luck. This is the time I decided to get Omar on board. From the time I contacted him till the time the house was sold the experience has been nothing but amazing!!! Omar provided excellent recommendations on the minor things we will need to address in our home to get it prepped for sale. While I thought staging didnt make much of a difference in our home, what Omar recommended totally worked. He knew exactly what to do to make our family room and dining nook more appealing to the buyers. Just from knowing the right pictures to use in the marketing materials to keeping us in the loop about every twist and turn, he was truly wonderful to work with. He is quick to respond via text and someone you can call for any advise. What I found most helpful was that he does not give you any false promises and sticks to the facts at all times. As a seller you want the highest price and would have some unrealistic expectations but Omar is the guy you need to keep you grounded. He is 100% honest and real. His social media skills are outstanding. I have to thank his amazing team as well. The house was prepped in no time and they worked with my schedule as I was living in it. Big shoutout to his handyman Roberto. He has come to my rescue many times even at my new rental place. Omar volunteered his services even after the sale and he did not have to do that. That just goes to say how wonderful of a human being Omar is. All I want to say is that Omar was truly a God sent during the most difficult time of my life thus far. When I started with the idea of selling my current townhome and buying a single family home during a pandemic I had estimated at least 6 months and had a lot of inhibitions on my mind. Thankfully I met Omar! He is a gem of a person and an even better real estate agent. He made it work for us in a little over a month. The result: We accepted an offer for selling our current home at a record price in 7 days after listing and our offer for buying a house in the desired location and price range got accepted the same day. It was the first home we toured and offered on. It wouldnt have been possible without Omars tactful planning and calculated inputs to our decision making. He took the anxiety out of the process right from the first meeting to staging, listing, offer review and follow up for closing. He has an amazing crew and they are like clockwork. Without Omars guidance I probably wouldnt have offered on the home I bought in the first place. Well I am glad I did and now I own my dream home. We reached out to Omar SECOND TIME! You heard that right. We purchased our first home with him and in-spite of shopping for other realtors when we decided to upgrade we could not get our mind off Omar. His prompt responses, always willing to be there, never get bogged down by our numerous questions, we also backed out once and he still handled it so professionally and many more led us to still call him for our upgrade. This was not an easy one as we first had to buy before we sell and man what a hella smooth ride it was! On getting into a contract for the second home Omar listed our first home on market in a record of 6 DAYS and sold it within 4 days of listing for the BEST BUCK. He handled it all from getting us packed, painting the house, landscaping, staging and prepping and it looked fabulous that we were in second thoughts lol. This review is long overdue. We have worked with Omar for the past 4 years. He helped us purchase our first townhome few years back, Last year not only helped buy our first independent home but also sell our old townhome. Looking for a house during the pandemic was not easy - but Omar made it so seamless.Few qualities I wanted to highlight about Omar is that he is extremely patient with respect to showing houses based on our ever changing checklist. On top of that he really understands the neighborhood and the market in general that just by looking at the street he gives us a thumbs up or a down. His background in understanding the overall construction behind the house really helped paint a clean picture on what to expect once we get the house or even if the house is worth investing. Well deserved 5 stars!After contacting more than a dozen real estate professionals, we ended up meeting at our property with the top four on our list. But how do you choose if anyone can claim they are the best? Well, we chose Omar because:- We felt he is transparent and straightforward with what he can offer as part of the property sale commission. We felt we do not need to haggle and that everything is fair.- We have not felt pressured to make a decision and we felt that Omar is patient and listens to our concerns and needs.- Omar was one of the few professionals who was offering and was able to describe the utilization of targeted online marketing.- We really liked Omars property advertisement strategy as it spoke to us describing the way step by step we approached finding our property 4 years ago.After signing the contract everything moved fast. We were referred to Omar from some close friends who set some extremely high expectations. Truth be told, Omar lived up to the hype and more. Being a first-time home buyer in the bay area is a bit intimidating especially with all the competition. However, Omar walked us through the process and went through all the details to try and ease unexpected surprises. He provided his professional opinions based on his wealth of knowledge and experience. In the end, this helped us truly determine the items most important to our family during our home search. We asked for so much - house tours during covid, wanting to find a house and get keys within a month before our little one was due, asking to go back to the house multiple, multiple times before closing was finalized, and so much more - and he delivered! Omar also has great expertise in a variety of related areas - remodeling any part of a home (we were focused on the backyard), helping inspect the house and go through disclosures, and more. Last but not least, he’s very well known, connected, and respected in the area which will give you a HUGE boost when you’re ready to put down an offer. After researching multiple lenders, Omar’s recommendation was by far the best to work with, and with his guidance putting our offer together, we got our perfect house on the first shot (and we’re first time home buyers!). Ive known may realtors in the past, and Omar is just different! I mean that in the best way possible! Hes a true professional, always available for me, not pushy, he listens, and I feel that he was trying to help me at all times. I was extremely nervous in making the jump into a larger home and I felt like I was calling him every 5 minutes to address a new concern about the home we ultimately purchased. He was patient, he didnt sell me on his ideas to resolve my concerns but instead he listened and gave me his expert opinion, I always felt he was genuine with his advise and I always felt confident that he knew what he was doing as an expert realtor in his field. I heard about Omar from a family member who had a great experience with him as well, and I know hes one of the top Realtors in the East Bay based on my online research, and so of course I Yelped him and read everything people were saying because Im usually skeptical lol, but sure enough after working with him I believe he deserves every 5 star review I see online. This review is long overdue. Omar helped us find our home and I cant say enough about the experience from start to finish. My husband and I were first time buyers and where nervous and excited about the whole thing and we had a million questions about everything! From the first time we met Omar we felt a connection, he made us feel at easy with asking anything and never felt pressured or uncomfortable. We met with half a dozen of realtors on the peninsular and east bay, Omar was the one that ended our search. Theres the average real estate agents who are in the biz for a living, then theres Omar Murillo who do it out of passion.Hes FAST!sent him a nudge on another real estate website on a Thursday and he called back in like 10 minutes, set up out first meeting at his office the next day which was Friday. By the same Saturday we had already toured 10+ properties. Oh, he drove us in his clean Merc complete with bottle water by the way, and i thought only Uber black does that? We also thought maybe we were his only clients at the time.Hes real BUSY (NOT)!hes got 3 listings on the market by the time i asked and closing several more in the next 30 days. But we never felt hes busy, he always made us felt like we were his only clients and got his full attention all the time. On one weekend i remembered, he went to a new listing in Modesto, met with another client in Pleasanton somewhere? then back to Newark just to look at that one house wed only wanted to that same afternoon.Hes RESPOSIVE!replying msg in an instant, emailing back and forth in minutes, calling you the first thing in the morning sometime even before we got up and answering the phone at like 11pm and beyond are Omars favorite things to do besides watching football and being with his family. Other people, us included works in days while Omar works in seconds and minutes.Hes TECH SAVVY, valley style.right before we go out and look at properties, Omar would go over some listings with us on a big screen TV talking to his laptop via Apple TV i guess, just like a project manager and wed discuss each listing and he listened to what we think rather than a mundane Q&A session. Forget about looking at B&W printouts on open house days or all three of you hunching over staring at a single computer screen. And then he hooked us up with this really cool web service that automatically pushes new listings that match our taste and criteria to our inboxes everyday......without us wasting time searching for anything. Omars got the silicon in his blood.Hes a VETERAN in the game!usually you can just ask how many years has s/he been in the field if they havent already advertised it. But almost every open house we been to, the listing agent or other agents there seem to know Omar one way or another. Also therere several hundred of agents who work in the same building as Omar does, so we were able to grab some extra heads-up on so many listings.You cant claim being experienced more solid than that!He knows the game!in addition to meeting our demands and expectations, Omar always under-promise and over deliver. He even showed us many houses we thought impossible and so much other possibilities and choices we didnt know existed. Because he grew up in east bay, he knows all the best neighborhood and pockets of area that are much more desirable then some city as a whole. These are invaluable knowledge.Hes the MVP!we tried and did put an offer on all kinds of property from REO to auction to trust sale to probate sale, you name it and sometime even just for the sake of it. Omar would never blink and he always said go for it. He stayed late just to bid on an auction the last minute, when we gave up on our highest bid he himself even add $2k saying hell cover the extra if we won. He sure wanted to go the extra miles, not for the house or himself but for us. How extra miles? Well, the other party we finally entered contract with werent the easiest people to work with, the seller was unresponsive and even their part-time agent was kinda deadbeat. The house was missing some smoke detector and the water heater needed to be strapped before we can close, Omar took care of all that while we were on vacation! Then one week away from closing they were missing one more signature from the seller side but Omar, well, you get the idea. Seller agent kept dropping the ball and Omar kept picking it up fast.
