I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes. I visited other doctors to get the right information and definitely the best choice was Dr Omar Krad. Hes very professional, very knowledgeable and with the greatest attitude. Im very happy with the results and of course for having Dr Krad as my eye surgeon who I recommend 100% without doubt.

Dr Kard is one of the most honest doctors I have met. I went for a consultation about 7 years ago and he told me that my eyes are not ready for surgery. About 3 years ago I went to another nearby doctor and said that I’m really tired of my glasses and would like to get the cataract surgery and be able to do without any glasses. He told me he can do it. But not feeling comfortable with the doctor I decided to go back to doctor Krad and get a second opinion . Dr Krad told me that the technology is not there yet for my condition to do without glasses after my surgery. He suggested to wait a year or two. So I waited a couple more years and went back to him again. He said there is a new technology, Light Adjustable Lenses, that will help me to do without my glasses.I had the surgery in June of 2023 and I could not have been happier with my result.Thank you for your honesty and great performance.

I just had the privilege of undergoing LASIK surgery performed by Dr.Krad. From the moment I walked into his clinic, I was greeted by a warm and knowledgeable staff.Dr. Krads expertise and passion were evident as he took the time to thoroughly go over the different procedures and their pros and cons. I was confident in his experience to go with his procedure recommendation based on my circumstance.The surgery itself was nothing short of remarkable. I’m really disappointed and angry with Samantha and Dr. Krad!!!! Well first off Dr. Krad told me he has 10 years experience doing laser. I went ahead and looked at his reviews, he doesn’t have a single review about LASIK that I could find, much less recent. He also doesn’t indicate any direct Lasik experience on the company’s website, which is really strange. The reviews are heavy on Cataracts care only.When I spoke to Samantha she told me he has 10 years of experience, however the lack of reviews or Website information seem to contradict this in a perception is reality world. What makes me angry is that when I had my consultation with Dr. Krad he lied to me right in front of my face!!! That is absolutely not ok to lie to a patient just to make money from me. These are my eyes and I need to make sure I’m under great care. He is a liar and I would completely stay away from him. Cause if he has experience in LASIK you need to see reviews and proof that he does LASIK!! With anything in this country you need proof not just say verbally what they want you to hear!!!! Samantha also, talked highly about Dr. Krad and saying he’s number one surgeon, yeah maybe in other areas but not LASIK explicitly. Samantha obviously talked highly about Dr. Krad to make them look better, in my view they were not as forthcoming as I would expect. So be careful, wouldn’t recommend them at all since they are not as genuine as they appear to be and not totally transparent with prospective patients!

Do you run, bike or walk if so and you want to be safe and comfortable get a cataract surgery you will feel 31 years younger all throughout your body just not your eyes, it is a whole new life, a life change and suggested for you! Dr Krad is the best in the US, you can go to Australia or Japan or Germany for the same fantastic results but why? Dr. Krad is calm, concise, and efficient. He will not let you feel alone but instead will give you the feeling of well being for life. Dr. Krad helped with Cataract in both my eyes. I feel fortunate that my Primary healthcare provider referred me to Dr. Krad for my cataract surgery. Both the procedures were very smooth, went painless and were absolutely successful. All my post-op checkups were done by Dr. Krad himself without any delays. I was extremely happy that Dr. Krad helped me with my surgeries. After the surgeries, I see the world with an extremely improved vision. Since my first appointment with Dr. Krad, I have been extremely impressed with his professionalism. His team made sure that all my procedures were arranged in a timely fashion. I was given dates for pre and post-op visits ahead of time. The team made sure that it was a smooth sail for me. The whole team especially Dr. Krad were understanding, sympathetic and cooperating. In all my appointments with Dr. Krad, he spent enough time answering all my questions and concerns very patiently. I was referred to Dr. Krad by my optometrist for a cataract in my right eye. Dr. Krad and his office staff were very helpful in guiding me through what I considered a very stressful procedure. When I 1st came to see Dr. Krad I had just recovered from a retina detachment developed a bad cataract and was concerned I wouldnt be able to wear contacts again. During our visit Dr. Krad assauged my fears and explained I qualified for a lens replacement and wouldnt need a contact at all! His bedside manner and genuinely kind concern for his patients put me right at ease, and during surgery I was comfortable and felt confident in his abilities. My vision was so greatly improved after the surgery and I was so happy with Dr. Krad and his wealth of knowledge that I insisted my parents drop their current ophthalmologists and come see him. He has since done a second cataract surgery and lens replacement for me, and operated on both my parents with great success and I am ecstatic to say I now have 20/20 vision for the first time ever! Dr. Krad and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and caring. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing cataract surgery.

He takes his time and explains thoroughly, in simple laymans terms, the structure and health of your eyes, and any procedure or medical care to improve your eye health.I went in to see Dr. Krad due to having poor vision, in which I was informed, I had cataracts in both eyes. I elected to have the cataracts removed and the new PanOptix lenses put in place.My left eye surgery was performed first at an outpatient surgical center, under a light IV anesthesia, the surgery was in the morning, my follow up was later that same afternoon, in which I was seeing 20/20.I was feeling so great, I begged to have my right eye surgery performed the following week, in which Dr. Krad squeezed me in. This time, I elected to have NO IV anesthesia, only the local numbing eye anesthesia and I was very pleased.After surgery in my right eye my follow up appointment again was, 20/20.And now a week/ two weeks later on both eyes my vision is 20/15,BETTER THAN 20/20! I have worn glasses my entire life! I can now donate my frames to the needy!Dr. Krad is so personable with his patients, he actually walks them out to the front office, as if he is walking his guests out of his home! This shows he is truly grateful for his patients. I cant say enough about this great doctor.Dr. Krad’s gratitude, care, and kindness in which he shows to his patience, is a breath of fresh air. Dr. Krad truly epitomizes the ideal doctor in all aspects. His kind character makes him a favorite by both his patients and coworkers. I am a pre-med student that was fortunate enough to be welcomed by Dr. Krad to shadow him through his work day. Got a second opinion from Dr. Krad regarding my cataract condition and available options. After my appointment I had a clear path forward and time to decide on a standard or premium lens. After moving to California, finding new Drs. was extremely important. I had cataract surgery on my right eye in St. Louis prior to our move but now needed left eye cataract surgery. Dr. Krad is the best Doctor! But unfortunately the lady that works at the front desk is extremely rude (I don’t recall her name). Another reason that I am upset is that they never answer the phones because they say they are short staff. I have glaucoma and I was finishing my eye drop the pharmacy told me that your refills is finished and we had been requesting and calling the office for the past week but no one is responding. I had also called the office for exactly two weeks, every single day and they transfer the calls to their other location which they told they had also been sending emails regarding your refill to the mission viejho location but they’re not answering. I drove a hour to the mission viejho office just to ask them for the refill and told the front desk lady what if there’s an emergency and you guys don’t answer the phones and she said well there’s nothing we can do about it! And that we are short staff.

I went to see Dr. Omar Krad after a bad experience with a different doctor. I read Dr. Krads reviews and secure and appointment with him, I was a bit afraid because of my previous experience, however the moment that He walk in and introduced himself, I knew he was the doctor I wanted for my cataract surgery and glaucoma, we scheduled the procedure he did an excellent job, he has a very gentle manner, very professional, explain the procedure and then let me watch a short film with Information about the procedure, he is a caring man with a beautiful smile all the time. The visit with Dr. Krad and his associate (Im sorry, I dont recall her name) went well. I went in specifically for an exam related to a long-term medication that can have ophthalmic side effects, and he was very professional and thorough. She also showed me the scan and explained what they were watching for.My star reduction was due to my experience before the appointment with the office staff. I had made the appointment a few weeks before, and the day of the appointment something came up so I called, and they had apparently switched systems? and I was in the old system but not the new one, so they did not know I was coming. So I made a new appointment, and answered a great many questions over the phone, so apparently none of the previously provided info was transferred. I was sent a document to prepare ahead of time, which I did, but then when I got there had to fill out several additional pages, much of which was repeated information. Ill be frank that I have really messy handwriting and that is just one reason, along with wasted time, etc..., that I STRONGLY prefer to type up my paperwork ahead of appointments and in this day and age, its absurd that all professional offices dont provide this option.BUT in person, the staff were polite and professional and efficient. Waiting area was small but clean and organized, and rooms were clean and well setup. No complaints about the experience other than comments above, and I look forward to returning for continued evaluation.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes in the last month and I was completely satisfied with Dr. Krads diagnosis, preparation and surgery. 4 weeks after the right eye and 2 weeks after left eye, I had no pain, no issues and completely happy about my gained vision! The whole experience was very smooth thanks to Dr. Krad and his staff. Vani (Office Manager) accommodated my very tight timing schedule due to moving. Angie (Physician Assistant) did a wonderful job on every visit with thorough check and a big smile, and April (Front Office) made my every appointment as smooth and delightful as it could be. Dr. Krad performed lens replacement surgery on both eyes at separate times. I do not have cataracts, just terrible vision. He inserted new trifocal lenses. He was so great every step of the way, from my first appt to the last. He is very kind, with great bedside manner. I now have 20/20 vision with no side effects. All in all, a life changing experience!!!

I try to stay away from doctors offices, to the point where it is absolutely necessary. In this instance, it was necessary as the cataract in my right eye progressed to where the lens needed to be replaced. I am definitely not happy with the inefficiency that the medical community brings when it comes to paperwork and communication with one another but I can say that once you finally get past the administrative minutiea (within any doctors office), Dr. Krad was fantastic. Knowledgeable, kind, reassuring, professional. He will take the time to be sure that you are completely comfortable with your procedure. I will be back when the left eye lens needs to be replaced.

Dr Krad was referred to me by a doctor at Harvard eye clinic I had to change because my new insurance was an HMO and not accepted at Harvard eye.This is for my November 2020 left eye surgery... And February 2021 for my right eye.The referral was spot on Dr Krad is professional and oh my God what a difference from my vision after the cataract surgery it was at least 1,000 times brighter and more detailed when you looked at flowers street signs my kitchen cabinets even look different color wise from a dull yellow film to a white etc... And not driving is excellent where before I couldnt even drive at night. Everyone is friendly and recently I needed and I drop dropped off at the hospital where I was having other surgery and with no problem they brought it over so you cannot go wrong with Dr. Krad and his people for your cataract surgery and I would say do it as soon as you can you just think youre seeing clearly right now!

I choose Dr. Krad because of his reviews. My first appointment was 1/30/19 to discuss my dry eyes from Lasik and for any preventative care.I was then scheduled for 2 exams on 3/12/19 and 4/19/19 with techs. My follow up with Dr. Krad was 7/31/19. At that appointment he told me I had glaucoma and prescribed eye drops for pressure and a follow up in 4 months. I left baffled and later emailed him asking him why it took from 4/19 to 7/31 to tell me I had an unrepairable disease. He told me that when he saw the 4/19 test, he called in a prescription to Walmart Pharmacy for me. I never received a call or a prescription.I didnt know it was Walmarts job to tell me I had this eye disease!In my humble opinion, it was his offices job to call me and schedule a follow up immediately after that test report came in.Last week I emailed him again asking for advice on my dry eyes, would plugs help?... what else can I do about the glaucoma since the drops were burning my eyes.Six days later, no response so I am writing this review. He is a personable man but offered me substandard care on my very important eye disease.Updated 8/21/19: Dr. Krad has called me several times to apologize and to help correct this situation. I do appreciate that...it shows me he is concerned and caring and I don’t want to take that away from him or his office. Most doctors would just ignore a mis step but he is trying to set it straight. An easy and comfortable personality to deal with which was particularly important to me given that I unexpectedly went blind in one eye after (what I thought was) a minor fall surfing.
