Jorge took great care of me here. It’s a nice touch to get the Uber discount which was really helpful. It didn’t take long to get in the bay even with 2 cars ahead of me, that was a a blessing from GOD I tell you to find this place. I liked seeing two shelves full of oil filters as I often worry about my filter actually being replaced and don’t have time to check myself and paint marker it. I really liked how they have a multi point inspection included to make sure my lights work fine and to get the engine up to a certain rpm level which I assume may be to make sure they’re no leaks around the plug maybe and the other checks. Most of all they didn’t try to push me to get expensive upgrades! I requested fully synthetic since my car’s only tasted Mobile 1 since I’ve had it. I would recommend buying the oil you like from the auto store before coming here as I’m not too happy with feeding my baby another brand of fully synthetic formula than Mobile 1, but she’ll live, just a car, next time I’ll bring Mobile 1

NOTE: I cant rate an oil change that didnt occur, so my rating is based on WHY I didnt get my oil change in spite of really wanting one.I recently checked my oil level at home & was alarmed to see that my dipstick registered nothing, I mean it came out clean so it was more than 2qts low. A friend took me to OReillys to get a couple quarts of the correct type of oil, I added 1qt & it registered in the low range, so I drove it over to the local Oil Changers, (less than 3 miles away), explained what Id found, & answered their questions about my last oil change (which hadnt been done by them, but had been done a little over 1 year ago at 3500 miles since the previous change). They told me it was too early to change the oil. I explained that I was concerned because it had been driven for up to 2 months with very low oil& I was concerned about possible damage from driving at all so low on oil. They said to just add another quart & come back in another 1500 miles. They didnt even offer to add the needed oil then & there, they just slammed the hood shut & gestured me out of the repair bay.Am I wrong to want to get an oil change under those circumstances? I didnt expect it to be free (they were not at fault, I was!) I just wanted it changed for which I would gladly pay? I dont feel like I was being unreasonable, I was shocked by their response, and although I have brought my car there for oil changes for years now, Im not sure Ill ever go back. The most shocking thing to me was that every other time Id used their services I had used their services I had received outstanding service. If Im not mistaken, all other times Id given them a 5 star rating.

I was satisfied with my oil change, but I do not think my fluid levels were checked thoroughly. Three weeks after I went to Oil Changers, I noticed my brake fluid was well below the minimum line, and my power steering fluid was also low. These should have been checked during my oil change and were checked off as full on the report I received.

My husband brought our car in and was very pleasantly surprised with the speed and knowledge with which our oil change was conducted. We’ve had some bad experiences with other chains and dealerships in the past and this was the complete opposite. Courteous, intelligent staff who move very efficiently. We’ll definitely be back!!

They told me I needed to change my transmission fluid at 25k miles. A quick google search confirmed that an automatic transmission can go up to 100k miles and might have a closed system that never requires this. They lost my trust with this deception.

I liked everything about this place. First of all, they answer the phone and are willing to talk to you. And once I got in there, they were friendly and professional. This is the best Oil Changers location. Talk about fast service and friendly service. I’m dumb when it comes to cars and these guys are always able to articulate well what issues my car is having. Here’s what happens; I pull up, pull in (the mechanics guide you in when it’s your turn), put my car in park, they say hello and welcome me, then they ask for the mileage, do their little thing on the computer, then turn around and tell me what I need to get done. I like it because when I go there I don’t have to explain anything, if you regularly get your car maintenanced there they keep a comprehensive record of your car service history with them. So if I come in for just an oil change, they are able to remind me “hey do you remember last time you came here we recommended that you get your fuel injection service done? You put it off last time but now it’s been 3,000 miles so it would be a good idea to get it. But if you still want to hold off that’s fine. But you’ll need to definitely get it soon like within the next week.”I mean, they really watch out for you. That’s been my experience at least. I’ve come to this location for almost 5 years so I’ve seen different crew and managers over the years, however, the wonderful things that has always remained the same is the speediness of their service, the sincere empathy the mechanics show for customers who might be in a bit of a tight budget constraint, their knowledge of every working part and how it affects every aspect of the car, and the biggest one of all is that they never, ever, pressure me into buying a service or product. They make suggestions here and there, but never do they say “yeah man you better get this done here today.” They don’t make you feel dumb or shame you if you are totally thrown off guard when presented with a new car issue. And they won’t laugh or joke around if you say something like “well can I think about it and come back?” If you can’t make a decision on the spot or you need time to mull it over, they are completely understanding and allow you to do that. Again, never forcing anything (unless I guess if your car is literally falling apart and you’re dragging your muffler on the streets and you have oil shooting out of your hood).Yes you get to sit in your car the whole time but please be respectful and pay to attention to when these mechanics are talking to you because you will have to participate in a few minute long activities like revving your car for them, flashing all your lights so they can check the bulbs, reading them your current mileage on the car, etc. When all is done, you pay (super unbeatable low prices), they give you a very detailed invoice which you need to sign and they will go down line by line and read to you what was performed on your car during the visit, along with any findings, any recommendations for upcoming services needed, then they give you a sticker with the days date and mileage, and another mechanic will guide you out of the bay and dassssssssit!This was a long review, and all that just to say, really, that this Oil Changers location on the corner of El Cajon Blvd & Arizona Street in University Heights/North Park is the absolute BEST location. Never a long wait, ALWAYS the best service, never a machismo attitude, ALWAYS professional, never a better team, and ALWAYS the nicest mechanics. You’ll be very happy you start going to this location.

Ive lived in North Park for off and on 13 years. And somehow I never knew about these guys. Went in for an oil change. Super friendly staff (Anthony took care of me and was very informative). In and out in like 10-15 minutes. Price is fair as well. Ill make sure to keep coming back to these guys. Normal price is like $57 (with a full service them topping off fluids and checking everything like tires, transmission fluid etc). Theyve got a coupon going on now as well.

They always take good care of my cars needs and never pressure me for any services I dont need.Its rare to find any business that looks out for its customer more than generating more sales and everyone is always so professional. If youre getting your car maintained anywhere else, youre missing out on quality service.I feel confident when I leave, my car has been taken care of. From fresh oil, checking and topping off all my engines fluids, checking my tire pressure, cleaning my windshield, and all of my lights and blinkers, its all included. It might be possible to find a cheaper oil change, but I guarantee you wont experience the same level of service or peace of mind.

They did a good job. They refilled the wiper fluid and then the light came on and they refilled it again but when I got home I realized there was a hole in the reservoir (not their fault I had just bought the car and the low fluid light was on when I bought it). But they still filled it a second time even though they knee they filled it the first time.

I did my oil change and they recommended a couple of other fluid services and stuff. I didnt have time that day to do everything because I didnt wanna be in a rush to get to my next client.So I came back on a less busy day for me to get the other services done. I honestly dont remember the other service but I wanted to write this review to share how the fuel injector cleaning service actually worked really great!Im always skeptical of auto shops and oil change places trying to get you to do stuff you dont really need. But my 2001 Toyota Highlander does have 240k miles on it and Im trying to get her to 300k!So I listened and did the fuel service and the guy (manager I think) explained that it should improve fuel economy by 10% or so. I didnt expect to actually see a difference but it actually does feel like the old dog has a bit more power!With my latest fill up I calculated my MPG being up by about 2 miles per gallon! That equates to an extra 35 miles per tank which Ill definitely notice with gas being $6 a gallon now!Thank you guys for making great recommendations and helping me on my way to getting this Toyota to the 300,000 mile club.

We came in for an oil change on a new car unsure when it was last changed and had to wait a bit due to them being busy. In my opinion that’s a good sign, and it was. They were quick, checked our fluids and before they got started one of the tech’s came over with our dip stick and gave us the option with continuing with the change or or not since it seemed pretty clean. I really appreciated that. A more “profit > service” shop would simply change the oil and hand us the bill. I’ve been to this shop a few times with previous vehicles and will probably keep going to this shop when I need an oil change. Candor and honesty are virtues in this industry and these workers have that in spades.

My experience at oil changers was awesome. Time frame for waiting wasnt bad at all. They do a thorough job on your vehicle. They check your brake lights, head lights, brights, blinkers and put air in your tires. You get to stay inside your car while this is all being done Price wise I felt was pretty good for my old high mileage car. They even offer a 4$ or 7$ off coupon. You have to go on their website and look for discount and follow the directions. I received my 7$ off coupon in seconds. The coupon will get texted to you. I love it here. Great staff always super helpful. I did wait an hour for an oil change due to the line, but they had me in and out within 15 min on the actual service. I had a lot of questions and they were patient and answered in detail. They also don’t push their recommendations on you, they let you know and then let you decide. I mistakingly thought I needed an oil change, but the team at Oil Changers let me know that my oil was good for another 3K - 4K miles when they could have easily charged me for an oil change. Lucky for me I came with the intention of getting an oil change and was advised by a gentleman by the name of Anthony that I didn’t need one yet. Had it been another oil change place they probably would have done the service and charged me for it. Not this place!! Every time I come to this location the experience and service is excellent! Sometimes, arriving at a busy place for service can mean sitting all alone until someone greets you.Not your store on El Cajon Blvd.A technician immediately showed me where to park, and I was told that Id be helped shortly. I love this place. A friend of mine turned me on to them when I moved here and I havent gone anywhere since! They check your oil, fill your tires, check your engine & filters, as well as checking all your lights with you in the car. My favorite part is when they show you your new oil on the dipstick. This is an excellent place to get your car serviced. I’ve had two European cars with oil that some other oil places never had in stock. These guys always had the right parts for my car. Additionally, they were able to warn me up and pending issues before a warning light appeared on my dashboard. Had to wait 35 mins for service with only one car in front of me who had already been there for a while. No prices posted anywhere. Quoted me $120 for a basic oil change. I declined service. That’s insanely expensive. My car was overheating so I asked them to top my coolant off, they said of course and sent me on my way. Went immediately to valvoline and they showed me that no coolant was put in. If I could put zero stars I would.

My first experience here was 5*.This second one, not as much. It seemed like everybody working there were good friends. And thats fantastic. However not when its 80+ degrees out and they arent focusing on getting work done while there are 3 other cars behind me. Those 3 not as fortunate to be in the shade of the auto shop. Between all the roasting of each other, laughing and throwing of dirty rags, they SOMEHOW managed to put my oil filter on BACKWARDS! Easy mistake to avoid for somebody who does this for their job, IF they were paying attention at all to the work that was done.I am a big fan of having fun at work, WHILE keeping it professional. But this was a 45 minute oil change when it should be 15-20. All because these employees cant focus.They all have good intentions and Im sure will get better over time. So 3 stars is where I sit. Ive used Oil Changers many times over the years for basic services and always been happy with the service. Although they did the service as expected the one thing I noticed that was different was too much playing around. Too much joking and playing, losing track of who did what, popping the hood & closing it 3 different times by 3 people and not even keeping track of the invoicing. This is time consuming! the very reason people come here is for fast efficient service. Ive been there before when the techs are communicating efficiently, calling things out to each other but regarding the car, not playing around and shouting over music. I understand the techs get busy and want a pleasant and enjoyable environment to work in, but simmer down and remember what youre supposed to be providing-- fast & efficient service.

More than an oil change these guys have integrity. My oil didn’t need a change due to a courtesy change done by the dealer I was unaware of. Instead of insisting I do it as I was still in a justifiable range, Jesus gave me the option to wait and save money. When I came, I was informed of alot of things I was never told to previously anywhere else, like the condition of my oil when they drained it the option to add some additives and inspecting and giving option for other services. They notice my power steering was really low so they ask if I would like to do a power steering flush ( I did and now it’s steers like butter!). They also told me my oil drain plug was an odd size (22mm instead of 17mm) and that it might have been either tapped or threaded. The concern was if they remove the plug, when they put it back on it was stay the same and will most likely leak. So instead of turning me away they gave me the option that they can vacuum the oil from on top! They really took care of my daily. Thanks oil changers and your crew!

I wanted to change the oil in my college daughter’s car, which is very infrequently used. When I pulled in I told the tech I wasn’t sure how many miles it had been since I don’t use the car (mostly nobody does). He checked the oil and then his records. Said it had been 600 miles. He could change the oil but it looked great, was full and visually clean. He said he wouldn’t change it on his car. He topped off fluids, put air in tires and I was on my way no charge. I receive oil changes at this location regularly and come in to get oil top-offs in between service is always great with the exception of one time were they overfilled my oil with more than a quart of oil and sent me on my way my car was shaking and acting weird so I checked the oil and it was way over filled I went right back and they bumped me to the front of the line and sucked out the excess oil and offered left my car was still shaking and acting funny to come back and they would do a full oil change. Amazing, no hassle, straight to the point service. They tell you like it is, whether your car is good or if it needs something. The first thing they told me as I was pulling up was the price. For my Honda CR-Z EX 2014, full synthetic was around $80 with tax. Kristina runs a tight ship. She showed me my air filter, which was dirty but they cleaned it, then she told me about my transmission fluid. She didn’t pressure me into anything but instead informed me about it, quoted it, then asked if I wanted to do the transmission fluid. I came to get an oil change here because it had been about 4k miles since Id had one. I keep my car running pretty clean with the highest grade of fuel and regular system flushes with additives. They said I didnt need one because my oil was still light, and gave me a sticker to come back in a couple of thousand more miles. Its so refreshing and empowering to see a female in charge in a male dominated workforce. But the dream team wouldnt be complete without Jerry and David. They all worked together very cohesively and had great communication dynamic. They all actually seemed to care about their job - because of that, I had great respect for this shop. Had to wait 30mins. Just to be seen, there was only 2 employees working with one lane open. The wrong engine size was entered in the computer. I have a 3.8 not 2.0 they had to add more oil.

These guys are great. Intelligent, respectful, fast. I drove up, they asked me a few questions about the oil I use, and got straight to work. They checked all my liquids, washed my windshield, and threw in some entertaining banter to boot. Great experience, definitely going back.

Very quick and reasonably priced. Great if you dont want to get out of your car. If you do get out, there is no waiting area and you cant leave the property. A couple chairs by the Coke machine would be nice. When I go back, I will definitely plan on just staying in the car.

I Bought a Vehicle off one of my coworkers and took it here to get an oil change today and they checked it and My coworker Must have had it done before he sold it to me. Oil changers could have changed my oil anyway and I would have never known but Instead he told me that it didn’t need it and that they didn’t want to Charge me for something I didn’t need.They will Definitely be getting all my future work.Really honest and no wait when I was there.

Kristina and her team were timely and efficient with my oil change, and they topped off all fluids and tires and had me out in about 25 minutes. They were in no way pushy about adding on extras, just provided clarity as to what the purpose of the filters were and why you replace them, but my lease term is up in less than a month so I passed. I will be back in the future for additianal maintenance work.

Ive came here before which they told me i had an oil leak and topped me off. Now i am here in my truck with my children must i say this is a huge plus as I am with my kids 24/7 and they can just relax in the car while i get an oil change. They wouldnt change my oil because I had a leak. Which Ive known about but they didnt want to be liable for damage to my engine which has nothing to do with the service they are suppose to provide. Its friday 5pm. Other techs change my oil but this manager said hes in charge and he doesnt want to do it.

Oil Changers was a very excellent experience when I visited and very convenient especially with my work schedule. When I arrived there was only two cars in front of me and I only waited about 10 or 15 minutes and when it was my turn the guys there were very friendly and knowledgeable and it I was taken care of in less than 20 minutes.

Reasonable price with $5 discount for checking in on Yelp. The guy who was taking care of my car was very distracted by a telephone call he received and then the person who called came there and it got worse. He didnt even ask me how much air I wanted in my tires, when I had heard the other guy ask two other customers. I did like that you can stay in your car, since I am disabled.

Dont bother coming here after work. The techs took an hour per car, mostly because they were chatting with each other and the customers. I wouldnt mind so much if they didnt spend 45 minutes assuring me that they would get to me and the car next to me. Especially since I was there an hour and a half before close and confirmed before stopping that they would have time for me. Probly fine if you have the day off or lots of time to spare, but I just dont have time to be lied to by people with poor time management skills.One last thing, the more talkative tech that was the reassuring one wasnt clocked in so if a mistake happens that he did it would have been on the guy whose profile he was usingGreat accountability.Although maybe I just came on the wrong day, they were friendly which is good to find.Edit 1:Pretty impressive to get a response from the owner within 1 day. Perhaps Ill try them again on a day off when Im not after work crabby. Also moving you up to 3 star for the Inquiry, will update and possibly email after the return visit.

I tried this place for the first time today and I have to say that I was impressed with the service. I used to work in the lube side of a dealership and I went to school for automotive so I know what I’m doing when I go to these kinds of places (not the dealer) for 4$ more than the dealer I have to say it was worth it just because of the convenience. There may not be a tire rotation included but you still get the tires inflated, still get all the fluids checked and you’re not waiting for someone to give you your keys back, you’re already in your car. Prices for different services are competitive as well and not outrageous, if I need an oil change quickly I will definitely come back here just to get me through to my next oil change interval if I can’t get one with a dealer. By the way, when they’re trying to “upsell” you, try to be more open minded, it’s not an upsell, if you don’t maintain other things in your besides the engine oil there will be bigger issues in the future, these guys are only bringing things to your attention that you actually need or should give more attention to, even if you don’t get the services done by them. I like these guys because they’re up front, call out what they’re doing and friendly.

Really nice and honest guys. They told me that I didn’t need an oil change and actually showed me how oil looks when it needs to be changed. So I wasn’t charged a dime and they checked my tire pressure and quickly checked all the basic stuff. I will definitely go back when I actually need an oil change haha
