We were there today time of arrival was 2:27pmWe sat there for 25 minutes in the sun and no one acknowledged us at all until we ask how much longer. He said 10 15 minutes we said OK so we waited 20 more mintues. Still no one came up to say 5 more or anything. At this pointWe started up our truck and left. But low and beholded, quess what happen next. Then all acknowledged us as we were leaving! They are the worst and slowest oil change place weve every gone to. Never again. Oh and I think hes your shift supervisor. He was on the phone the whole time.

They took about 2+ hours just to get 3 cars that were in front of me, workers on the phone, and take forever to get your information. I have gone to the one in Hayward, and you are out in less than 25 minutes.

New people and service is soooooo slow. Took 45 minutes just to check my oil level. Only two cars ahead of me and two bays open. I am thinking of finding a new place to go. Disappointed as this was always my go to for oil changes for many years now. Terrible service now!!!!

Way over filled my oil, check engine light came on the way to work next day. I checked oil level, way past fill line. I had to bring my car back. Instead on redoing it they drained half oil and added to correct fill line. Very inexperienced mistake and could have resulted in major damage

I went in and everything was good until I arrived home and noticed one of my tire caps came off. I then noticed that three of the tire caps were not tightly closed and the fourth is now missing! I now have to go and buy more caps. I am never going back seeing as how they didn’t even try to tighten them.

Did not state the price before changing the oil. Charge was $102 for synthetic oil that is only $54 in other shops. Always offer flushing since the old oil was supposed to be dark, which it should since it’s synthetic. Never going back to Oil Changer.

I have been to an Oil Changers in San Jose in the past, and I remember having the most wonderful experience. This is why I returned to Oil Changers, I hopes that I’d have my fluids topped off, tires filled and windows washed.I do not believe any of these services were given to me, and in fact, I am surprised that this is an Oil Changers location. I specifically went to this place for full service and all of the bells and whistles that I received at the San Jose location. They even offered a cold soda.If they topped off my fluids, I wouldn’t know because nothing was said, but I’m sure nothing was done with my tires.I’m so frustrated that I am just going back to the dealership for any other services. I’m tired of ‘sleepy’ teenagers taking care of my car. The services I mentioned above are listed on your website, so I am aware that these are still available, but I was never given that option.I was given a discount probably because the computer was down and I had to wait a long time. I reviewed the receipt and it shows that they performed all services when they did not!

I tend to forget about needing oil changes but every so often I remember…I find my self being frequently busy and don’t have time to wait 1hr plus. At Oil changers the services is fast and the employees are very welcoming. The conversations are very genuine and the work speaks for it self. They go above and beyond when it comes to car maintenance, not pushing the boundaries of over selling. If you don’t have time to waste and would like friendly interaction I recommend getting your oil, windshield wiper repair, filter changes, etc. at Oil Changers

I specifically asked for an oil change and they added AIC advance intake cleaner insisting I needed it so they get more service credit by overcharging me for services I don’t need. My car is a 2017 model and is not in a condition that requires an AIC cleaning.

Owner is efficient and very friendly. He makes sure he understands what you want, discusses issues and options (esp if money is tight!) and helps keeps me safe on road ... blinker check and brake lights, etc. Really appreciate him being there and his work. I walked out with a 71$ bill that Lexus services asked for 479$ what on earth!!!

They reported my oil change 85k, 90k, 95k and it was supposed to be 100k but they put 10k and reported it to carfax now there is a mileage discrepancy on my vehicle and i am unable to trade it in for a newer vehicle because of this. People here are brainless no wonder they work at an oil change place for a career.

The best oil change shop in the area in my opinion. They change your oil, top of all other fluids (like windshield wiper fluid, brakes, coolant) then they wash your windows and check your outside lights (blinkers, backup lights, brake) all while you are sitting in your car, no need to get out. 15 minutes or less and I can vouch for that. Friendly as can be employees as well which is a selling point in itself. If you are contemplating coming here do yourself a favor and do it, you wont be disappointed.

The few times I’ve been even when I waited 2+ hours the customer service was spectacular. This time not so much…Decided to come on my lunch and had to leave after waiting for 40 mins. Rolled up to the front only to be told that the wait is going to be an hour.How I was spoken to when I moved my car slightly forward due to mishearing their instructions made my skin crawl. This experience really made me not want to come back. I came because this place was always so friendly and the employees chatted with me.I get sometimes it may be a stressful workday but how they shooed me away was so opposite to how to they used to smile every time I came.

This place may have been having an off day when I was there, but the quality of work doesnt seem up to par. The car two cars ahead of my they didnt have sealed up right and they had to scream to the owner to shut it off after oil started gushing out. Earlier today I changed the engine air filter they werent able to replace for me because they didnt have it in stock and realized they didnt screw down the cover on the existing air filter, meaning I had effectively been driving without one for the last few hundred miles.

The guys at Thornton Oil Changers are just great! They went above and beyond with my 04 hatchback that was in bad shape. The fact that they offer other services besides just oil changes makes it super convenient. I got a ton of maintenance done without having to drive around to different places! Additionally, they really want to ensure that your car is running properly and gave me an option of stopping by a week later just to check fluid levels/everything was working out for me. Amazing!!!

Close to my home and opened on sundays! Called early morning one day, promptly answered the phone, took me in right away, out within ten-15min. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER WITH 17 month old and I didn’t get out of the car for the duration of the oil change and transaction and they even interacted with my son . The service was friendly . About what I expected the guys seemed to be good when I went. Its about what they say 10 minute oil change maybe 15 but also keep in my mind thats per car. So for me I was about 4 cars behind so a little over an hour waiting If you are in a hurry probably not the best option depending on time of day. I came here for an oil change on a Wednesday night. Accidentally forgot my wallet at home once it was time to pay (couldn’t find it in my car). I had $100 in cash on me and the total was $120. I told the employee Isaac that I was sorry and could run home as I live around the a corner to grab my wallet to come back and pay the $20. He proceeded to insult me & be incredibly hostile assuming I did not have funds to get an oil change! He then told me I shouldn’t come here when I don’t have money & how funny it was that I “forgot.” The way he treated me as a customer was disgusting. He then stood in front of my car blocking me in! I had my dog with me and then told me to leave my animal as collateral or my cellphone ! What?! This was the weirdest interaction I have ever had in my life. Then once I came back with the $20 he took 40 minutes to run my card purposely making me wait. This was an honest mistake for leaving my wallet but he took it upon himself to insult me, a regular customer, and be super disrespectful and hold me there demanding I leave my animal with a stranger. I will never go back there again.

I should have just gone where I normally go, but I was in Fremont so I decided to get it done at the Thornton Ave location. First of all, I wasn’t sure if you change the anti freeze and transmission fluid because I wasn’t sure if that service was part of the oil change and fluid checks. There is no signage available to see how much things are. The adding services line by line is new to me. I’ve never seen it done like that. Where I normally go at the Hegenberger location, they have signs inside when you pull in that lists all packages, what they include, and the price. The older gentleman that helped me was unprofessional and acted like he was annoyed by me asking questions about whether there were packages or not. I get wary when it comes to fixing my car or bringing it in for service as I’m afraid of people adding on fees for things I may not be an expert on. But, I’ve always felt fairly served at this Oil Changers and never upcharged for something I didn’t need. The workers always explain why they recommend me to change something or get an additional service, offer me the choice, and take no hard feelings if I decline. I mean, this is how business *should* be done, but unfortunately a lot of places take advantage when their customer doesn’t know the domain well.One solid example: my old car recently started guzzling a lot of oil. I got an automated email notification that I might be due for an oil change. Brought it in, but the worker told me I didn’t need a change - I could probably wait for a bit more. They cleaned my windshields, topped off the car liquids and tire air pressure, and sent me on my way for no charge. I feel like a lot of other places would’ve just changed it anyway to get the $, so this honesty went a long way for me! The wait time is short. The synthetic oil was changed. I was told that they did Not have my air filter in stock and it had to be order because my Honda was 24 years old. So they will order it.The oil change and air filter was on my invoice. $84.00He said to return in 2 weeks when the air filter arrives and hell install it at no additional charge. Ill return by Oct. 26th. They also went throught their inspection check and wrote notes as to what should be done to the car.The men were nice and professional. Marie.

Called in this morning to see if they have the filters for a diesel truck and the man proceeded to yell at me and saying is he’s too busy to look at the system but I have to wait in line to have them look in their system to see if they have it. I’ve taken both of my cars to this location and received excellent service each and every time. Mohammad does a thorough inspection and points out ANY recommended work. I’ve never felt like they were upselling me - they simply care about my vehicles’ health and allow me the opportunity to decline any services they recommend. I’ve even had my Jeep’s 60,000 mile transmission service done here. The rates were very reasonable and fair. I’ll continue to take my vehicles to this specific location because of Mohammad and his co-worker and the professional services they provide.

In this place they have a person who is in a bad mood and racist, he is elderly, I dont understand much English and I think it bothered him, he yelled at me and threw the hood of my car and accelerated the car excessively to 6,000 RPM at the end when in other cars did not. in other places they attend me kindly and always oil changers

The only thing they really do is oil so if you need something more than that, youre sort of out of luck. The worst Oil Changers I have been too. They tried to up-sell me at every chance and then when I went to my dealer the following week I found out that Oil Changers did not even do what they said they did (and what I paid for). I was trusting them when they told me my car needed additional service, but turns out they were just trying to make a buck. He did not take the time to fully explain the process or what the car needed to me. If you need your oil changed, go to any Oil Changers location besides this one.

I used to go to Valvoline when I lived in LA, when I moved to the Bay Area I wanted a similar place. That was quick and efficient when I needed an oil change. I’ve brought both my cars here now several times, they have been great! Prices are comparable to other places, I pay more for better synthetic oil. Around 85ish dollars for my Jeep Cherokee and 60ish for my Mazda 3. The customer service has always been great, not pushy about up selling you. Just informing you about any other needs your car might need. I took my car in tonight about 30 mins before closing (something I HATE to do) I asked if they could get me in or I could come back the next day. They gladly took me even thought they had been cleaning up. Hence my need to leave a review, I will definitely continue coming to Oil Changers for my car needs!

I got to the place at 6 p.m. and waiting in line for 15 mins with one car in front of me just for the guy to come up to my car and tell me that the wont be able to take me because they close at 7. I can only rate the service I got over the phone since i didnt actually book it. I called in asking for a same day oil change. The gentleman that answered was 50/50 on whether or not he wanted to take the work. I got the impression that if he wanted to he could get my oil done. He seemed to have other priorities and said he couldnt fit me in. Its the difference between an employee scheduling the work and an owner operator or manager doing the scheduling. He didnt even attempt to schedule me on another day which tells me he wasnt interested in my business. He basically seemed disinterested in my phone call all together. Granted I did call in about 1.5 hours away from closing time.

Had my wife take our car in because I was busy with work and I knew itd be a mistake knowing how a lot of car mechanics like to take advantage of females. All we needed was a simple oil change, like my wife asked. She then got hit with a total of 150.00 bill that she paid BECAUSE THEY ALREADY STARTED CHANGING FILTERS AND OTHER THINGS SHE DIDNT ASK FOR WITHOUT ASKING HER. took a lot for me not to go down there and rip them a new one but the damage is done. Hard finding a shop we can consistently go to, but this shop made it easy for us to cross off our list and let our family and friends know not to come here. Hope you guys dont make the same mistake.

I found out my oil level dropped in my car and drove to oil changers. They checked the oil level and also cleaned my car checked the fluid levels and also changed my oil in 15 mins. I used an online coupon and got 4 usd off to a total of around 79 usd. They have buy 3 and get 4th oil change free for conventional oil and buy 3 and get 4th for 35 usd offer for synthetic.
