First time I came, I waited over 5 hours. They did mention it was going to be a long wait, I just didn’t expect it that long amount of time. They were very helpful. I’m glad I came here. I got referred from a co worker to get some extra funds and save life’s at the same time. It’s unfortunate they do not have any location closer to Downtown Los Angeles but I definitely suggest it if you are healthy, have spare time to donate plasma. It’s an easy process. It is not painful at all. Highly recommended it and suggest to anyone to come check this place out. You have A/C, TV with cable while donating, free internet access. They do everything to make you feel comfortable and safe during every visit process. Check it out!

Most of the times Ive come here it hasnt been crazy busy, so after the first visit (which takes everyone 2+ hours) its pretty smooth sailing.Staff is nice. Theyre efficient. And youre in and out before you know it.

If this is your first visit they say you will spend 2 to 3 hours. Mine was 3 hours. Once in the treatment area, expect to be COLD. Luckily my friend got a blanket from my truck, for me. Yes, its that cold.Also, if you are a transgender person, your file is under your birth gender and they dont out you. And these are professionals. so respect is given.This is a busy and crowded clinic. Bring a book or device. And you can get incentives for referrals. About 25 dollars, each the first 2 visits.Lines go fast and the staff is attentive to your needs and getting you out of there asap!

Extremely professional and welcoming! The first time I donated it wasn’t exactly smooth, but not because of Octapharma or their staff. I was very nervous. I didn’t know what to expect. However the staff recognized my symptoms right away and did everything they could to make me feel better. Recommend some things that might help my next donation go more smoothly. I took the advice and donated three days later and to my surprise it was a breeze! I can’t say enough about the staff and facility! Super clean, professional and friendly! You know when several people/staff call you by your first name, it makes you feel like you’re welcome! I have recommended Octapharma to others and will continue to do so! This location has friendly staff and it is very clean. I like coming to donate plasma here because it makes me feel good that my donation is helping save lives. Plus, you get compensated for your donation, so I see it as a win-win. I also like they always have little raffles to keep you motivated to keep coming back. For example if you donate on a rainy day you get entered for a chance to win an express pass. They also do monthly raffles, its always fun for me to come in and see if I will win something extra. Sometimes they also do donation drives to help other organizations, I think its great that this company tries to help the community in other ways. Thank you.

Process was fairly fast, friendly staff, relaxing environment, $100 first visit, they close at 7pm. Staff knew what they were doing didn’t feel any pain once I got in there it took me around 35 mins to donate. I’d advise you to pump your fist when they tell you to in order to get done faster..

I was there just this past Sunday and first I was being serviced by a newbie who didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Then after I was stuck I was getting a no flow message. It was several minutes before I was attended to and during that time my hose got clogged and there was nothing left to do except end my draw. I still got paid for a full draw which was good but when there is a no flow it should be attended immediately.

This has been my Octapharma experience. The staff there are not only courteous, but personable. They smile, they laugh, and they treat each client like a person rather than a product. Worst plasma place I’ve ever went to and after they hurt my arm, they kept telling me to wait a certain amount of days to talk to the doctor and it wasted my time because they didn’t even let me come back and I had to find a new plasma place. Thank God, I found a new place because it made me realize how bad this one is. They tell you to call their number whenever you have issues but their number actually doesn’t work without the extension the supervisor can give you. If you do not get the extension from the supervisor, then you cannot reach the actual place. You will only talk to the self-service robot. And after that, the phone will hang up on you, or it will keep you going in circles.

This was my first time ever donating blood and was a bit nervous. My entire process took about 3 hours so a form of entertainment with headphones are encouraged. After the initial health screening & assessment test I was sat down and we began. Most of the process went fine until the end when i began to feel light headed & a shortness of breath.I raised my hand as told to do so if help was needed. The employee Briana attended to me quickly with ice packs & a drink. What may have seemed like a usual occurrence in the work place meant so much bc i was really scared, anxious and almost of the verge of tears. I really did appreciate her attentiveness.

Ive been a regular donor at this plasma donation center for some time, but my last visit left me quite traumatized. A new hire inserted the needle, and right away, I sensed something was wrong as I involuntarily screamed, which is unusual for me. Despite the initial hiccup, the staff was friendly, and they recognized the issue, bringing in experienced colleagues to assist. However, the subsequent attempts to correct the situation became increasingly painful as the needle was moved around, eventually piercing through the vein, leaving me with a painful hematoma above my elbow.During the restick on my left arm, I emphasized that I avoid that arm due to vein location, but they attempted insertion regardless. Thankfully, I declined readjustment, preventing a potential second hematoma. Its been almost a week, and the pain, tingling, and numbness persist, making me unsure if I should wait it out or seek medical attention, incurring additional expenses. I’m hoping my nerves weren’t damaged as I’m having difficulty moving my arm and fingers.While I appreciate the friendly staff, this experience raises concerns about the need for more experienced personnel to handle situations promptly and avoid unnecessary complications. The pain and potential risks make me hesitant to return, especially considering the diminishing payment for donors over time and in this case when it’s not my fault I can’t donate during this time. Overall, the friendly staff isnt enough to outweigh the negative aspects of my recent visit. I’m hesitant to return or recommend anyone else to come here.

I was a little scared. I didnt know anything about donating plasma. Signing up wasnt difficult and it didnt take that long going through the process to see if I qualify. The procedure was easy a prick on the finger was the most pain I felt and that was nothing . The needle to do the procedure was also nothing. Everybody working there was helpful and courteous. She decide to have an attitude.Updatebecause I posted a bad review Erica had marked my account so I can’t donate. She should be fired for treating people like this. I never had an attitude towards her or said anything out of line. She skipped over me when I was waiting to donate. When I said something about it she rudely told me that I was not an express pass and I will be done by the next available tech. The lady across from me said why did she have an attitude and I I said I’m going to write a review and I did .To lie and get me banned from donating is unacceptable. This place is great for fast cash, the only people complaining are the ones that dont have their documents or information, lie on questionnaire, and are under the influence of drugs or addicts. There are a lot of people and staff does the best they can. Amazing how the ones that complain on the reviews cant understand basic supply and demand. I promise you if you show up here in line the only people complaining or giving attitude or making a scene are homeless or people addicted to drugs.Every ones else has the iq to follow directions and have empathy towards the staff. Adrian had a little difficulty finding my vein and so he asked Desiray to make the adjustment. She said she just had to take the needle a little bit out and then go back in a bit under and then everything went smoothly. Saturdays mornings like today are pretty good for donating here, this is the only place Ive donated, since I started last summer and I recommend to anyone that is interested in plasma donation.

I had a good experience at octapharma. The first time there are many steps for the whole process it is about 3 hours. All the employees there were very pleasant and happy and helpful. I recommend to eat right before going so you dont get light-headed by the time they draw your plasma a few hours later. You can get cold during the end so bring a blanket or a poncho.

Super easy. If your new donor please expectancy of at least 4-5 hour process altogether, depending on what day. Better to call ahead too to see if their accepting new donors as well. So that way its better to know, than waste gas or unnecessary hours on the bus. Its a very hygienic place. Staff are really sweet and handle everything with care. Seats are comfortable. Santa Fe Springs Octapharma 481 is by far the cleanest one I have been to. Spotless, smells clean, and bathrooms are usually always good. Ive been coming for years. The only downfall is the wait before getting sticked. Worst one by far. Van Nuys is 100x faster. Not sure what the deal is but over 10 people in maybe 15 minutes get scanned and ready to donate. Santa Fe, it doesnt matter what day of the week (I changed my days many times) will scan one or two every 20 minutes. The usual wait is about 30 minutes before you donate. And thats when they are not busy. Its beyond my understanding. However, the floor workers find a vein easily, no pain, and simply perfect honestly. No matter the work, years ago you had to request certain people who do it perfect but now I would say they all do a great job.

I’ve been donating with them for years and they always have the greatest staff! I use to be very picky on who sticks me (shout out to James!) I always asked for him! I’ve had one bad experience when I let someone else do it and my arm was bruised but I figured if I let them know that my veins roll beforehand they can usually get it and havent been too picky since! Usually am there an hour or 2. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS it will help with you getting out of there faster

This is the only donation site that pays me lower than what I’m owed. They lie and say it’s about consistency, but I’ve gone for months 2 days a week. Other centers give me the correct amount. This is the only place that does this. Starting to feel like a scam.My last donation was over 3 hours! There was plenty of staff, not many people. But the staff just loves to gossip and talk about poor management. They even fight at times. Meanwhile people are waiting and wasting time. So when I get paid less than what I was promised, those 3 hours of all that is not worth it.They need new staff members, new management, and the facility should be under review. Many druggies in and out, not enough cleaning. It feels gross.I recommend other facilities, or to at least voice your grievance here.This is only getting worse.

Never had a problem with staff. Sometimes the intake goes slow. Pay could be better. It’s frustrating when you get bruised by them then you can’t go and pay drops. Overall, no complaints with the place but some of the people that show up are pretty shady.There has to be a way to ensure honesty on the questionnaire. My guess is that quite a few people are being dishonest from the looks of the shadier looking people. Some are clearly addicts which makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the place. But you do see that the equipment they use on you is new.They need to weed out the addicts for sure.

My boyfriend came in today for the first time In hopes to donate & get paid out. The nurse Rihanna registered his name wrong & because of HER mistake they told him to come back again on Monday. He was there for over an HOUR just to tell him that. Very annoying & a waste of time! Do not come here!!!! The person put the needle in wrong then switched arms and did it even worse! I started bleeding down my arm and were I was laying. I tried to get someone’s attention but was ignored. The person had gone to lunch!!!!! When they did come back they acted like it was something I had done! I just as left bruised and in pain on both arms! The pay is very low here and not worth the horrible treatment!!!!!!! I cried on the way home not so much from the pain but from the treatment. I never had an issue until I was unfortunately serviced by Mirena she had a horrible attitude and was unnecessarily rough with me when taking the syringe out. I told her I needed to use the bathroom she decided speaking to her her coworkers was more important and was dragging her feet. I naturally became annoyed and exclaimed the urgency.. she finally took the syringe out and pressed so hard on my hard it hurt i dont know what her problem is the fact that she has some type of leadership role there is scary hopefully they do better and get new people who have better interpersonal skills with others...she was so unprofessional its baffling she even still works there.. disgusting trash attitude

My only reason for not giving 5 stars is, I rarely ever give anyone 5 stars. I would have to blown away to give 5 stars. However the staff at Octapharma are very friendly and professional and I enjoy going there. I recently discovered a Plasma place around the corner from my place but I continue to go to Octapharma which is further away because I really like them. Laying down for a couple hours a week is a fair exchange for a few bucks especially when the staff is friendly.

I referred a friend to this location, hoping to get that bonus money. I did not know that she needed a code, which the worker asked her for. By the time I sent the referral code over the employee told my friend that it was too late, even though she was still going through the screening process. I went in with her for the next appointment to ask why I couldn’t get the referral money. I was told that once they move past the first computer it is no longer possible which of course I did not believe….there is another company which I won’t name that is more customer service friendly, professional, pays more and when it came to the referral bonus there were zero issues. I recommend that company instead. Located in Pomona.

It’s ok. Customer service quality depends on location ranges from poor to decent nothing above average. Plasma donation centers are usually flooded with lots of druggies. It’s not that I have anything against those people, but they get annoying a lot of the time. Can’t get them to stop talking, and it’s funny sometimes because they’ll talk about drugs like meth, weed, etc. Staff mostly there for a paycheck not to hear about peoples personal life and choices.

I have been donating for more then 3 years now and I can truly say this was the best experience I have ever had on a first donor day.Checked in at 9:40am met with 3 very pleasant people(I wish I remembered thier names) filled out few things, watch a video, took a questionnaire, had a detailed physical and answered all my questions. I was taken to a donor bed, very smooth with the hard part (needles, blood ugh) was checked on several times during. I was out the door with money on card by 11:58am.Truly the best team I have ever worked with. If youre considering, donating and you need the process to go smooth and ensure you get the compensation that is needed, I recommend going to this Octapharma location.

Id like to begin by urging you not to visit this location. The employees exhibit rudeness and disrespect, cursing, mocking, and laughing while youre trying to donate plasma. My encounter with employees Marlene and Rheanna was particularly unpleasant. When requesting a manager, they respond by rolling their eyes and discussing the situation. This unprofessional behavior is pervasive, and if this is the treatment they offer customers, I strongly advise against coming here. The process, purportedly lasting only 2 hours, extended to about 4 hours in this disorganized environment.

I feel like the training process should be longer and taken more seriously before you put people on the floor by themselves allowing them to put a 16 gage needle into someones arm.They are fairly clean. Some wipe the chairs after a customer gets up and others dont.I had to bring my son with me once cause its summer break and I dont have anyone to watch him. And they said nobody under 18 is allowed in the building for their own safety. Which I understand. The part I didnt understand is them telling me to have my son wait in the car... For who knows how long... By himself... By its for the childs own safety, right?? 😳🙄

Not having identification and proper documents is not the staffs fault and shouldnt be complained about. During the 30 minutes I saw the people in scrubs setting the machine I thought that I was going to be place on those, but they place me on bay 1. If youre here for an interview. I recommend you not to go. Theyre very unprofessional first I emailed them my availability for a phone interview and they called me on a day I was unavailable. Once it was the day of my interview I waited 15 minutes to be attended. The next week was my 2nd interview I waited 45 minutes to be interviewed, they had me waiting in the back with the processing techs which was unprofessional. Due to schedule conflict I didnt get the job, which is understandable. I dont want the next person to be in the same awful situation I was in. I am unable to get my time back, and I hope the next person doesnt have to go through that.I tried contacting the headquarters but they didnt reply either, very unprofessional.
