Came in today and the guy that sits me always skips over me when it’s time to donate. Very unprofessional and I do not feel welcomed . This is the third time this has happened to me and will probably be my last time here. The workers helped four other people before they got to me, all the people they helped came after me. Very unacceptable as we all got things to do and shouldn’t have to be treated this way.

Alot fo the ladys are nice, super fast clean area however one of the younger mexican girls kept pushing the needle in and out and around fishing for a vain, super painful didnt even give me a cold press, the time before that an older mexican lady was super rough when sticking the needle. I probably wont be going back. Ill be posting pics 3 days after donating ( dont judge my ugly tattoos lol)

Phlebs are great, I always feel safe coming back as they are skilled and friendly. Definitely the best plasma donation center in Bakersfield, been to the others and wasnt impressed (also, dont bother with grifols) . Only complaint is the wait time during the busy days

Avoid like the plague. There is constantly something going on there that is not the donors fault and you cannot donate. I dont care about the money you get, its the time I spent driving there.The nurse told me that they would call me when my protein test results came back in which prevented me from donating today. These idiots never call people back. This is the third time something has happened in four months.

I love coming and donating with octapharma, their staff are wonderful beginning with the screeners especially their senior screener Mel up front always welcoming everyone to the center, while working efficiently to get all donors in, to the nurses Stacy,Jeane and the phlebotomists in the back who are attentive once you get to the backJessica,Ivana,Zya,Roxie, Dontreal they make sure to get you hooked up quickly, Besides their speediness their work and customer service is on point,they make you feel like family.Another reason I enjoy coming to this center their facility is always clean & fresh. They show discrimination here. have seen and witnessed many staff members discriminate people of various income and living conditions. They shun away the poor just trying to make it by and shun people who have very limited resources. so if you are coming here with that type of background look elsewhere this may not be the place for you. very shameful an establishment like this would act this way. have a few recordings of this happening to people. even though by law they have to host all kinds of people by california law.

Everything is good there they have good nurses and stuff but the beginning process and when youre not able to donate cuz your proteins too high or your heart rates too high then you got to do the process all over I dont think you should have to do it all over but you have to do everything all over read all that information all over watch the videos do the physical every time you cant donate because your protein is too high or your heart rates too high when you go in for the first time You have to do everything all over the next day or whatever day you go back and I dont think you should have to do that once its good enough thats something I think I would have them change but other than that theyre good theyre really good

I like to first start off with saying that Octapharma has established a great atmosphere, they are thorough and clear on what your process is going to be like while you’re there. The reason I gave it a 2 star review is that of one of their employees (I didn’t get her name) but she has a star tattoo on her face, let me first start with her aura and how she carried a rude and non compassionate energy that really reflects in her service as an employee. She was very mechanical and carried a poor attitude the whole time she was getting my personal information. She showed a lack of character and a lack of work etiquette making me feel very uncomfortable! I mean every other employee was joyous and hustling hard to make sure every one’s time there was valuable and safe. I didn’t donate plasma to get funds but I donated because I believe in the benefits of plasma and the medical science behind it, after all I had a loved one saved due to a plasma transfusion during the pandemic, so I did my investigation in donating plasma and I was sold at trying to make a difference. Character is to praise in the work field (seeing that it’s lacking in our modern times) I thought maybe it was me she was being rude towards but I noticed she was like this with almost everyone that encountered her! I hope this reaches her and she can begin to do a self examination and start changing on how to see the customers that go through Octapharma! I was taught a lesson in life “ A little leaven, leaven’s the whole lump” one person can make an establishment look bad. I hope to here from the management soon! Thank you!

The staff in the back that hook you up and disconnect you are completely inappropriate. They DO NOT CHANGE THEIR GLOVES! They go from patient to patient without changing their gloves. I had to ask the person hooking me up to change their gloves and the person disconnecting me I watched her disconnect 4 people removing their needles and all with the same gloves she noticed me watching her and before she came to me she changed her gloves. It’s sad these people are literally putting people at risk for cross contamination. Be careful I went here because a friend asked me to help but I will never go again

Obviously the process takes a while. I was there on a Sunday and it was pretty packed with only one person doing the checking in. The two RNs there are fabulous, kind, and take their time to answer any questions. The big plus of this place, is that they have a security guard.

DONORS BEWARE! This company is shady as hell! I donated today June 21, 2023 and instead of being upfront with their clients, this company allowed donors to donate WITHOUT GETTING PAID! How unprofessional and morally wrong is that!?As soon as I was made aware, I made sure the clients waiting to donate were made aware that they may not be getting paid for their donations since the staff was unwilling to be honest. My next step is calling the news to make sure ALL DONORS ARE AWARE THAT THEY MAY NOT BE PAID AS AGREED! Also, they are not paying out their referral donors either! My friend has yet to receive any compensation for referring me. It was also brought to my attention another donor has been waiting 3 weeks to receive a referral bonus for 3 people referred! I will not be returning until this company gets their business in order and becomes more honest and upfront about their mistakes.

I just came back to donating at Octapharma plasma I was please that they were able to run me through the reentry system quickly and efficiently, and the staff is all very friendly and nice. However, the rates of pay are too low for consistency and keeping people to come and we all know that it gets for big bucks plasma does, so instead of giving somebody 100 the first two times and the rest of the times 65 each I highly suggest you increase your rates of pay as well as the bonus back to $100 There is other competition in town as well. People can go to BioLife or Bio-mat thank you.

I got there around 8:30 Monday morning and left around 11:20. It was pretty easy and was paid 15 mins later. The staff were super friendly and helpful! The process wasn’t painful just a little weird for being a first timer. I will go back soon!

Im only giving this place 3 stars because everyone there is great! Except this nurse name Mel, or Melissa I believe. She looks like a white girl and shes the tallest. She looks like shed in her 30s. She is extremely rude & always has an attitude. & I know for a fact that im not the only one that thinks that! I almost didnt go back because of her. Everyone else is super nice! Roxy, and this other girl I keep forgetting her name but she has a heart eye tattoo, love them! And thats the only reason Im coming back.

I was actually impressed. My first appointment ofcourse was very time consuming so by the time it was my turn I was starving . I ended up Vomiting and my Blood Pressure dropped but all those ladys quickly came and took care of me nicely. I loved the Staff there, I had a blast talking with them. I actually felt respected for once 😘 I had my second donation yesterday and it went smoothly. I defently recommend this place . Thanks tamara J.

The experience I had was basic at best. The one thing and I know everyone feels this way, I have a problem with the payments. Other places give you $100 for your second visit. At Octa you feel like you get ripped off everytime you leave. You have to be pretty desperate to visit Octa ☹️

My experience has not been good since the beginning. Theyre not friendly at all or welcoming, they dont take care of you, they leave u with the alarms going off &ignore everyone. Theyrr slow & arent professional.They need better staff & have a talk with them! They just work like robots & not Like customer service. They dont make me feel safe or comfortable with my small veins. The staff needs to do better in every area. I dont like this place will be switching to Biomat instead!

They hurt me and I couldn’t go donate for a week and when I went back they only gave me $25 because I “hadn’t been there in a while” we’ll miss mam you guys hurt me so I couldn’t go back in. So on that note I won’t be going back most the staff hurt you when they pit the needles in and they don’t pay you good enough for that

I love this place! The staff is very caring. They are respectful. They have always been very patient and if you are nervous they make sure to talk you through the whole process. They are usually very fast. If it seems like they are packed they usually still get through pretty fast. I switched from biomat to this place and I am absolutely so happy I did. The supervisors need to make sure everyone they put on the floor can use a needle properly the last time I went a girl did not know what she was doing she stuck it in to far, not saying she cant get better but she needs more practice before working on any patient........ A worker name Phat is a Chinese guy who works there by far he is the best sticker, he takes his time and you dont even feel it going in, he needs a promotion as a manager. Overall, I dont see myself going back there, mainly because alot of the female workers be having attitudes, they need to adjust their attitude. What they are failing to realize is without people coming in to donate they would have no job, so who really need who, yea they may be getting a paycheck from the job but its the people who are helping them get that paycheck.

Everything there is great when i go over to donate but thats IF Im able to, when you get your blood sample and cant donate for a week your blood protein levels always seem to be too low until you hit the lowest payment tier and then you can donate all of a sudden! Ive donated here for over a year and Ive gotten my blood test done 3 times (not including the retakes) and you get them done every 4 months.Every time without fail i was too low on protein several tests until they bumped me down to the lowest payment tier. This last time i was 0.4 points too low on protein and the next test was 0.2 off so according to that trend (which i was going hard on protein literally eating nothing but rotisserie chicken at work)my test results have gone missing for 2 weeks and they just keep asking me to check in tomorrow which my only 2 options are to call at the call center in the morning or to go there myself and I cant even call the call center because its always closed (i called at 12:51pm and they were closed) and theres no way to call the center location directly.People need the money from donating just to make ends meat to live in this sort of economy and they dont care at all. At the very least they could freeze your payment tier until you qualify to donate again but they dont care enough to do that, theyll shoot you right down to the bottom of the payment tier and make you miss weeks worth of donations.There are stories about octopharma doing this sort of thing about faking blood protein, someone went to get a blood test from their doctor and their protein was perfectly normal and they brought the test results to the donation center and got permanent deferred for it, the story was not from this location but it may be a company policy thing that is in effect at all locations or something.If youve stayed to read up to this point thank you for taking the time to read this, i know this sounds like some sort of company conspiracy sorta thing and Im not into those either but Ive waited until now just to be triple sure this was an ongoing trend and not just some anomaly and i suck at absorbing protein or something haha.Tldr: they either purposely withhold/fake your blood protein test results to defer you for long periods of time to bump you down the payment tier and miss out on weeks of donating or if thats not the case theyre unethical in the fact that they bump you down the loyalty tiers when you LITERALLY CANNOT DONATE TO KEEP THEM UP. You can count on getting bumped down to the lowest tier even if youre the most loyal donor because thats how this place is.

The employees at this location are very nice. The whole process is smooth and painless and the machines are way better than other places I’ve been to. Sunday mornings are pretty busy but they do there best to get to everyone in a timely manner. Plus when you donate your helping so many people in need of plasma!

Honestly there is only 6 woman and 1 man name Kevin . The only person name I can remember in this place that truly care for their job other and THEIR PATIENTS ! Other than that the other female doctor with pink hair and her little friend that always giving proper attitude and talking about patients we can’t charge our phones inside but then she kicks me out for waiting with my ride inside while my ride is donating inside and it’s hot over 105 degrees and she still kicked me out three times . Other than that I would of have them a 5 start but because of these two individuals they always think they can have attitude when they want or talk down on patients.

Ive had a lot of fun here the people are friendly the donos are relatively painless and for the most part they keep it pretty clean. Recommend over grifols just cuz I have had a negative experience or two at the other centers. The entire process takes too long. Initial visit took about 4 hours. Subsequent visits have been over 2 hours. They are understaffed. Got bruising on my arm from the needle placement. Money is decent, but is it worth it? First 7 visits, you are offered $100 each. If you miss one visit, you are immediately bumped down (mine is $60 per visit now).

The employees here at the donation center are all very nice. The reason for the low score is Octapharma itself. Octapharma has a B.S. policy that if you do not make X amount of donations in a specified period of time you are penalized. My donation volume averages 875ml, but because I did not donate for 2 weeks the compensation was dropped from $60 to $45. Octapharma got the same amount but paid less. What kind of B.S. policy is that? There is a new plasma donation center here in town and it pays double what Octapharma does. Ill be going to them from now on.

My experience at the octapharma plasma was very nice everyone was doing a great job, but when I went to give blood they nurse could do me because my vains were to small I think they should have nurses that could do little vain because the money could really helps with paying a bill you forgot to pay, but needless to say the next time I went they were able to do my other arm, Im really glad I was able to help make whatever it is you need to make, thank you again for your serves, God bless

Been going here for a while now. Really nice people here that actually try to make you feel comfortable and that’s huge when it comes to a place like this. I would really recommend this place above others in town, mainly because they don’t turn people away if you don’t live in the area. Since covid, I have been out here in Kern county and I haven’t changed my permanent residence as I plan to go back home eventually.

I recommend this plasma center over the other one I have went too. The staff are very professional,polite and answer your questions. They are friendly most importantly it makes your donation time more pleasant. The hours are from 7:00 am-7:00pm 7 days a week. Check for holidays they may be closed or special hours of operation.

Bad place to donate. Lines are always super long, workers complaints of shortages on hours yet it seems no one is around to help. They hardly answer the phone when you call and your pay is late by almost 30 mins- 1 hour. Only person worth there salt in skill and customer service is Miss Stacy. She’s a gem love her. If you go ask for her and you will enjoy it.
