Dr. Chelsea Fidai is one of the best Dr.s I have ever seen. She takes the time to explain the issues and the treatment in detail. She is very knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Nikki Tang removed a number of growths on my face by the MOHS technique or by freezing. Results were excellent. She kept me informed about what she was doing and gave clear instructions about what I should do after the procedures. She is efficient without being overly rushed. And, as far as I can tell, she is very knowledgeable and competent. She and all the other people in the office were very personable and pleasant.

I had a colorless mole on my nose that I was getting nervous about and my current dermatologist was going to make me wait two months to be seen. I called Ocean Skin and Vein Institute, and they were able to see me that week! Thankfully the mole was nothing to worry about but I asked about removal anyway, and already have my next appointment for that. I’m very grateful for the urgency and help I got at this office!

This review is specifically for Dr. Fidai - she is wonderful, truly a master at her craft and so unbelievably compassionate. Ive never had a doctor take such care in getting to know me as a patient, truly listen to my concerns and adjust her care plan accordingly. Ive struggled with acne my entire life and she has successfully gotten it under control. I now feel confident in my own skin and absolutely LOVE Dr. Fidai.

Dr. Shokeen took over my previous dermatologists practice after he passed a couple years ago. My husband and I really liked him and were sad upon his passing, almost heartbroken. But Dr. Shokeen has won our hearts. Her practice runs smoothly with an efficient and friendly front office staff, texted appointment reminders and short waiting times in the exam rooms. Moreover Dr. Shokeen is friendly and pleasant with her patients. Hubby and I both recommend her.

The staff are very nice and welcoming....but Dr. Fidai...she is awesome! I needed my one year check me out visit. I was blown away by how thorough Dr. Fidai was with her magnifying glass! When asking Dr. Fidai about my facial skin being dry, she recommended 3 products, (one for my rosacea. which I didnt realize I had. I just thought I had blotchy rosy cheeks!) Unbelievable results in days! The products were reasonable and really worked well. Dr. Fidai is my new dermatologist and Im spreading the word!

Dr. Chelsea Fadai was professional, gentle and courteous throughout the visit, and during the procedures providing details and putting me at ease. She was very knowledgeable and provided great care, and her assistant Alicia was thorough and helpful. From the front office, the appointment process was efficient and easy. Upon arrival, Hollis, was very personable, directed me towards all the proper processes for a new patient, sign in, insurance, prepayment of co-pay. Also for preparations prior to seeing the Doctor in the examination room, Alicia showed experience and was an excellent assistant. Upon departure, Cecilia was able to send me follow-up instructions, along with booking my next appointment. It was a very pleasant experience for something (a condition) that caused me to quite anxious, but Dr. Fadai put me right at ease with her expertise, knowledge of skin conditions with explanations and care details. I was in good hands at Ocean Skin and Vein Institute in Manhattan Beach and recommend this dermatologist office highly.

This was my first time visit to this office. I found the front desk to be polite, responsive and engaging and my actual Dr. Visit with Dr. Chelsea Fidai was very pleasant. I was there to specifically have her check various spots I had. She reviewed everything she was doing and areas of concern & advised what our follow up plan should be regarding some spots I had and how often I should visit in the future. Overall my experience was great and my only area of concern was I felt the wait time was long - I waited 40 minutes before I was moved to a room and as a patient this is something I feel doctors should be mindful of. We are expected to arrive early and on time - our time is equally as valuable. Other than that, I was very pleased and will definitely go back.

I went to this place to check on what I believed were two skin tags. I was told they didnt believe it was skin tags, but a verruga or something similar and due to its nature, the procedure was covered on my insurance. They decided to take one out and said that once the results were back they would schedule the removal of the second one. I just got a call from them saying that it was benign and the second one would not be covered by my insurance but a out of pocket procedure. That was not what I was previously informed. I never intended to remove any of em with Ocean Skin, I just intended to check on what they were, but since they offered with no cost the total removal of both, I had the expectation of concluding the service there.Its not about the cost, its about the fact that it just seemed like I was being scammed. They first went with a procedure that they charged the insurance, and then tried to charge me for the conclusion. I decided to pay somewhere else with better ethics. If they were not misslesding from the begging, they would have avoid a bad review and got a client.

My experience has been that most doctors are always in a hurry to get to the next patient, not Dr. Shokeen. The office runs smoothly and on time. Im a stem cell transplant survivor 20 years out and have had at least 10 biopsys in my life so I know my way around a doctors office.I live in Santa Monica but traveled to Manhattan Beach to Ocean Skin and Vein on a referral from my GP.As soon as I walked into the office I felt the culture of the practice instantly. I had a laser Co2 procedure done this past month. As a 74 year old woman I have been plagued by moles and brown spots my entire life. She’s my go-to for ways to keep my skin looking fresh, hydrated, and, of course, youthful!Also, have to give a massive shout-out to Dr. Shokeen and the rest of the team. The knowledge, expertise, and patience (!) that everyone has is second to none.
