I’ve had my wisdom teeth for a very long time, you figure you’re an adult and they’re not bothering you..you’re in the clear. Well the day come where my impacted wisdom teeth became a pain and I had to get them out. I called the office and they did mention they where booked out but I did mention my agony and behold I was in within the next two days!Dr.Ahn made me feel very comfortable and did a very thorough consult. The front office was very kind and professional. I believe their office manager Jessie was the one that went over my treatment plan. Went over my insurance coverage estimates and my patient portion which was more than reasonable. The whole procedure took less than a hour.The back office went over all the postoperative care with my driver. I opted for IV sedation and I got a nice wheelchair escort to our car. I can’t express how thankful I am! Thank you for all your care! Great experience!!

A great experience from someone who has major doctors office/procedure anxiety. The office staff was all super sweet and supportive in easing my anxiety day of wisdom teeth removal. Dr Ahn did a great job, I had very little post-op bleeding or pain and almost no swelling!

I give OC Oral Surgery 5 stars and if I could give them more I would. I’m new to the area so I was nervous about going someone new. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Soon as I walked in the office I could feel the positive vibes from the front desk. When I came for my consultation I was informed on everything that would need to be done ahead of time. I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and I was extremely nervous. The staff went out their way to make me feel comfortable and relaxed and I felt as if everything was done in a blink. I highly recommend going to OC Oral Surgery.

I came here for my wisdom teeth removal and my experience was great! The nurses were all very helpful and made me feel like I was in great hands. The ladies working at the reception area were patient with me and addressed a lot of my concerns about the cost of the surgery and my insurance plan. I must have called them at least 6 times, but they were friendly every time. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

OC Oral Surgery was a wonderful experience! I needed all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, so I did do some shopping around as I planned to pay cash. Other oral surgeon offices seemed to have weird pricing where I felt they overinflated their pricing since they were quickly willing to knock over $1,000 off when I said I was going to look around. Thank heavens my wife found OC Oral Surgery! The entire staff is so kind and we both felt very welcome when we arrived. The conversation with the doctor and his staff was clear and transparent on both costs and how the procedure would happen. Very straight forward and honest. I scheduled the extraction procedure and did mention to them I am slightly claustrophobic as I’ve had some issues at dental offices when they put that rubber block in your mouth for longer procedures. The day of my surgery the staff was definitely on their “A Game” as they worked in perfect harmony. I did have a slight claustrophobic feeling when they put oxygen on my nose and they immediately recognized that and helped keep me calm till I dozed off. Regarding the procedure....it was 100% painless. Honestly I don’t recall a single moment. Who would want to recall extracting 4 wisdom teeth 😊. I woke up to my wife and a nurse in the room who walked us through post procedure and that was it. I know it will sound weird a bit to say it was a very pleasant experience given the extractions but it honestly was and everyone working their couldn’t have been nicer.

I had two upper wisdom teeth removed, and my recovery was quick and painless; they even followed up after my surgery to see how I was holding up. Dr. Ahn is the best! I had a pretty bad wisdom tooth infection couple weeks ago, since its a pretty gnarly impacted wisdom tooth, my dentist cant really do it and referred me to his office for the surgery.Now my wisdom tooth has been bothering me for several years, and since its really close to the nerve & Im a bit old for wisdom tooth surgery (just turned 30), Im really nervous before went into the consultation. However the consult went super well, Dr. Ahn walked me through the treatment plan very thoroughly and patiently, his professionalism and knowledge truly calmed me down and actually made me looking forward to finally get this resolved once and for all.The surgery went extremely well. Dr. Ahn removed the wisdom tooth completely, did bone grafting to preserve the tooth next to it, as well as putting in some growth factor to help with the healing process. Best part of all? As someone whos extremely scared of pain, I didnt feel much pain at all during & after the surgery: with IV sedation I fell asleep almost right away, by the time I woke up its already over. Theres bit swelling and bleeding for the first 2~3 days, but when it comes to pain level its probably a 2 at most (on a scale of 1 to 10), almost feel a bit too good to be true.Anyway I highly recommend Dr. Ahn to anyone who needs oral surgery done. Hes truly an incredible surgeon & all of his staff at OC Oral Surgery are super responsive, caring and helpful too. Thank you again for making the surgery such a painless & comfortable experience!

Having to take a young teen in for oral surgery is very stressful, but Dr. Ahn really made us feel comfortable about the surgery and answered all of our questions. We also had a question 4 days after surgery and it was the evening, he had called us back within 20 minutes and made us feel at ease again. After having all wisdom teeth out my son didn’t have any swelling in his face! Dr. Ahn is very precise and knowledgeable in surgery. The front office staff and nurse who was in the surgery with Dr. Ahn was very communicative which helped ease our tension. I highly recommend him for great results in oral surgery.

This office is special. You can tell everyone enjoys working here, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming due to the staff. I recently had two wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Ahn. My consultation was clear, Victoria was so knowledgeable and helpful going over the insurance, billing and setting my surgery date. Mia and Melissa were amazing! They prepped me for the surgical procedure, all the while keeping friendly conversation and demonstrating acts of kindness and compassion. I felt completely at ease and comfortable. I have a bit of anxiety but I did not feel anxious at all, those ladies were so wonderful. Dr. Ahn entered the room, greeted me and then started the IV; thats really the last I remember until it was all over. The post op care instructions were very clear. I was home an hour later and feeling fine. I had no pain until the 2nd day and it wasnt bad at all, 1 ibuprofen did the trick. After that I had no other pain. I followed the orders completely!! My post op check up was great, everything healing perfectly. I highly recommend OC Oral Surgery. Dr. Ahn and his whole staff are excellent, highly skilled and proficient. They made this experience so pleasant, sounds strange to describe teeth extraction as pleasant but it really was - the procedure and recovery were super easy. Very, very pleased! I had my other 2 wisdom teeth extracted many years ago and I had an entirely different experience, that office was awful. OC Oral Surgery has restored my faith in dentistry. All 3 of my children had their wisdom teeth removed by Drs Ahn and Girard. Each surgery went extremely well. The staff was superb in explaining post-surgical procedures. They made it clear that I could call for any reason or concern, which made me feel more comfortable when it was time to take them home. The front office staff was very knowledgeable with respect to insurance and costs. I was presented with an explanation of costs at the end of my consultation so I would know what to expect. I would recommend this office to anyone requiring oral surgery.

I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled a week ago. I had absolutely no pain or swelling. I bought popsicles but I never even ate them! Great experience! Getting my wisdom teeth out here was as pleasant as the procedure could possibly be. The staff was very nice, I understood what was going to happen before it was performed, and the care given for post-surgery made my healing process as tolerable and pain managed as they possibly could. I was most worried for the IV sedation, but they prescribed me an anti-anxiety medication to take right before the surgery, made sure I was calm, gave me “laughing gas” and even sprayed some numbing liquid onto my arm. I felt no pain, do not remember a second of the surgery, and had a great experience. Well organized and fantastic establishment. Thank you for making something not pleasant, dare I say, pleasant!

Dr. Ahn and his team were exceptional! The anticipation of my oral surgery was far worse than the actual extraction of my wisdom tooth and bone graft. Took out FOUR wisdom teeth in few hours! I was expecting to be extremely painful after the surgery, but surprisingly, I was not feeling much pain. Of course I was taking medication (painkiller) I was subscribed to, but all I really felt was discomfort rather than pain. Not only that, the doctor was very kind and sincere. He explained everything ahead of time, so I know what to expect. If you have to take out your wisdom teeth, I would recommend this place!

I was having major surgery in several weeks when I experienced a great deal of pain and an infection in a tooth. On very short notice Dr. Ahn extracted the problem tooth and performed a bone draft. He did an excellent job minimizing the pain while maximizing the recovery. He is knowledgeable, confident and very helpful in explaining what I needed to understand. I highly recommend him.

Got my wisdom teeth removed. Was in a time crunch for insurance reasons, they got me in for a consult the same day I called and had my surgery the following week. In and out pretty quick, surgery took about an hour for all 4. Not much swelling, they called to check on me later that day and had a follow-up to show me how to keep caring for the area and make sure it was ok. Happy I dont have to get them removed again but would come back here if I did!

Dr. Ahn has very good credentials and that how I first judge the competency of a doctor. Dr. Ahn attended the top dental school (UCSF), which means a lot. I trusted that Dr. Ahn would be the best doctor for my daughter to have her wisdom teeth removed. The procedure went very well, and the procedure went very quickly (the sign of competency). There was very little post-op bleeding. My daughter has had a quick recovery; by the third day, almost all of the swelling was gone.My daughters case was not complicated as her teeth were small and the roots had not developed yet, still, I was a nervous mother. I previously worked in the medical field and I have worked with many doctors. I feel DR. Ahn is in the top 1% of oral surgeons. :) Also, I felt his fee was fair.

Dr. Ahn over the past 4 year removed 3 of my teeth and has performed 2 (soon to be 3) implants. He runs a very professional office that is courteous and organized. After diagnosing you with state of the art technology the doctor clearly and patiently explains the procedure using pictures and animation. Two of my extractions were difficult and I had a pain free experience using local anasthetic and nitrous oxide. Dr. Ahn is an incredibly talented oral surgeon and I highly recommend him as a doctor.

I was too chicken and stopped going to the dentist for 6 years. Finally at 27 I couldnt put it off anymore, what was already bad from waiting was only getting worse.I was nervous about having surgery, having never had any procedures in life before. Because I waited so long the surgery had to be more extent than when you are younger.Dr. Ahn explained everything to me very well. Amazing office & staff !!! My daughter, Sarah, was referred to OC Oral Surgery for extraction of her wisdom teeth.As with anything I do, I checked Dr. Ahn out on Yelp, Google & Facebook. Dr. Anns website, OC Oral Surgery, was also packed with useful videos, post op instructions & testimonials from other patients. I was very impressed with all of his reviews, so I booked a consultation.Dr. Ahn was very through in his exam. My daughter has several medical conditions that were addressed. It was real comforting knowing that Dr. Ahn is also a licensed Medical Doctor & Oral Surgeon.The nurses in the back are very compassionate & took the time to explained the post op instructions. We also received a check up call later that day seeing how Sarah was doing.Our follow up visit was 1 week later. It was quick & easy. I can honestly say that I am probably more of an extreme case than most, so I really cared about who my dentist was. I had 15 teeth removed and 6 implants put into my mouth.
