My first time here. Excellent play. Love the combination of physical props with digital screen backgrounds. What an unique combination to add to the play experience. The acting and singing was top notch. Toto was a scene-stealer. The fox and raccoon were quite the characters. The tall stepsister was quite the hoot - funny as heck! All the actors/singers were absolutely wonderful!! Needless to say, I enjoyed myself immensely!

We saw the Wizard of Oz and it was an amazing production! The sets and costumes were incredible and the talent and on stage was phenomenal. It was a great show for the kids in the audience, and the kids on stage were very talented and professional. This theater company continues to produce some of the best theater in the area! I highly recommend seeing the shows they produce. I will be going back again.

Comfortable seating. Beautiful construction inside. Sweeney Todd was beautifully directed and the cast acting level was superb. This was a musical and I didnt know what to expect from a community theatre in Corona but if I closed my eyes, I couldnt tell a difference between here and Broadway. The singing was that good! Congrats to the cast for a brilliant performance. Thank you for the experience and the memories.

I recently saw The Wizard of Oz with my parents and we loved it. The actors were amazing, with great voices and energetic performances. It was really fun to watch, especially the kids dancing and singing. The whole show made us laugh and left us smiling. Its hard to put into words how much we enjoyed it, but I highly recommend this delightful and heartwarming production!

We like to go to plays, show, theatrical theaters. This is one of our favorites. We lived the Peter pan, and just recently saw Wizard of Oz. Great performances 👏🏼 we cant wait to see the next show !

I came to see the Musical, Sweeney Todd, put on by the OBC Theater. I have a friend who is part of the cast in this show. Now, I think we all know, Theres no business, like show business, however......It was a TOTAL surprise to me when they announced that Nate Beals - my friend - who was cast as ensemble - would be playing the lead role - Sweeney Todd. Of course, I couldnt be happier. However, I also know that this meant something has happened to the person chosen to play the lead role. I sure hope he is okay! OBC Theater has done an AMAZING job with the sets, staging, lighting, etc. within the amount of space they have for this quaint little Theater & stage. I was thoroughly impressed with the way the stage craft & values were... Excellent job! KUDOS!The costuming was spot on. The cast... the cast was WONDERFULLY EERIE!! From Caroline Nelms - Beggar Woman showing us that she has two frequencies, pitiful & lewd, yet with all the abrupt transitions, she shows us shes no reg. beggar, shes legitimately insane.The dark eerie, deep, rich Baribass vocals of Nate Beals... Wow! When he sang the last note of, Theres no place like London, that note was so deep & low, it changed the phrasing telling us that Sweeneys version of himself, is more corrupt & sinister than we were ever thinking. He did a great job of showing how Sweeney has an incredible sense of full control over his rage, making him a dangerous man. Nate really did a fantastic job filling in for the lead role of Sweeney Todd at last minutes notice! Great job, Nate! BRAVO! BRAVO!Contralto Tania Nelson - Mrs. Lovett with her dark & comical wit for the Pie song, first off this is a tricky piece to pull off. I felt as if Tania was channeling Angela Landsbury (whom I was fortunate to work with in this show) shes almost there. She did a wonderful job of changing the tone w/ little to no warning, which also coincides with the aimless, unpredictable mind of Mrs. Lovett. Job well done... BRAVA! BRAVA!Then theres the beautifulvoices of TJ Punchard - Anthony & Camryn Hamm - Johanna, Robert Hoyt - Beadle, Jamie Snyder- Judge Turpin, Patrick Melver- Tobias & Adam Granados- Aldofo Pirelli, & then last but not least by any means, the Ensemble. The Ensemble was awesome!! They help weave us through this story of Sweeney Todd.Theres a LOT of dissonance & chromaticism in the music they sing, and Wow! Did they nail it! This dissonance emulates that sinister tone that Sondheim incorporates throughout the whole show almost like a Requim Mass. The dissonance serves to make the audience feel discomfort.BRAVA, BRAVO Ensemble! Overall, I highly recommend getting tickets today to go see Sweeny Todd - this weekend! OBC Theater has done an AMAZING & INCREDIBLE job, and you dont want to miss this show!!!Its showing at the OBCTheater in Corona,(9/15,16,17/2023) which is the last weekend.

I organized a group of 18 to see the OBCT performance of Man of La Mancha. Everyone enjoyed it very much! The cast was phenomenal as well as the sets and costumes. I would also like to thank the staff for seating our large group and especially for helping one of our members who is in a wheelchair in and out of his seat. We are looking forward to the next show!

First time at this theater! It was super great! I love the smaller theaters because you can really hear and see the stage and be right up there with them. We saw Sweeney Todd and it was awesome! My kids are enjoyed it and I found all the actors so talented. I’ve lived in Corona for 14 years and can’t believe there is this gem that I’ve only now discovered thanks to the flyers at the 4th of July parade.

I saw 4 out of the 8 Sweeney Todd performances, and I was blown away every single time. The talent, staging, lighting, sets, and props were all Broadway-level. The story of the show was told very effectively, and every night there was a collective feeling in the audience of: “We’re all experiencing something really amazing right now.” I don’t get that feeling very often, even with touring or Broadway productions. I will definitely be seeing more OBC productions in the future, and I’d highly recommend that you do, too.

Man of La Mancha was spectacular! Not a weak actor / singer in the show. Production, performance, and staging easily equal to theatres with much larger budgets. This was a truly amazing experience, set in a humble performing arts space. I was transported to another world for a few hours, exactly what live performing arts should be. I just took my 9 year old grand daughter to see the Peter Pan production at OBC . It was her first play, and let me tell you, if I could give 10 stars I would. From the staff at the theater, to the cleanliness, to the cast .. it was in my grand daughters words AMAZING! We just loved it . A fantastic experience. We will absolutely be going back !!!

We did the pop up Escape Room on Friday. The room was great. It was definitely challenging but we had mostly kids with us. The staff was great and gave clues as needed to keep everyone invested. I think with more adults we would have solved more by ourselves. The theme was great!

I’ve performed many times at this theater since 2009. They offer some of the highest caliber theatrical experiences in the area. Incredible and professional crew members with many high quality sets and costumes. The musical direction is too good, it’s absolutely precise! Everything is magical at OBCT and most people never walk out of the theater disappointed with their experience. If I could give this place ten stars I would because it’s just that amazing.

My wife and I went to see the OBC Theater production of Peter Pan. All I can say is that we had a fantastic time. All of the actors including the children were awesome and the whole staff were so welcoming and helpful. The theater was just the right size to make it a intimate feeling experience. I dont think there was a bad seat in the whole place. This was my wifes first time going to a play and she was so enthralled that she is looking forward to going again to see another play. 10/7/2022 - UPDATE: I originally posted this review yesterday and received a call early the next morning from Amanda. Apparently this was a miscommunication and shes working on resolving our issue. In addition, I mentioned below in my original review that the Grinch production was put on by CAT but today I learned it was also OBC (and again, we had a great experience back then as well).Im leaving the original review below but we will be coming back in the future to see more performances because they really are good and do have great production values. Theyre a non-profit and we also understand what that means (word of mouth, etc.).10/6/2022 (original review) - My family (wife + 2 kids) and I went to see their Peter Pan play this past Friday. We pre-purchased the tickets and were very excited about it. Unfortunately, a few minutes into the play, my youngest son (3 years old) got scared and started crying during the play. I didnt want to disrupt the performance so I stepped outside to calm him down.He didnt want to go back inside. I spoke to someone out front who told me to talk to Tammy about a refund. We waited until the play was over to speak with Tammy. She let me know that she was going to ask an Amanda about the refund (for just myself and my youngest son) but we havent heard back and its already been a week. It appears that theyve ghosted us!I understand the amount of work that goes into a performance. However, now were out $80 and they wont refund us. My son and I didnt even get to watch the show!A few years back at CAT, a similar situation happened with my now oldest child - he was scared during a production of The Grinch. We didnt get to watch the show (because our son was so upset) but we did show up. When we had to walk out, we spoke with them and they refunded us our money no problem.They wont even talk to us about a potential credit with them. Their shows might be OK but if you have young kids and they happen to not like the play or get scared, stay away - because you wont be getting a refund or even a credit.

Do yourself a favor and go see OBC Theater’s enchanting production of Peter Pan at the beautiful Corona Civic CenterIt is a feast for the eyes and ears.The sets, costumes and talent are Broadway quality due to the company’s fastidious attention to detail and high level of professionalism.Elise Burt is on par with Cathy Rigby and when Rachel Wesolowki as Mrs. Darling sang, I got chills!Captain Hook really is Captain Hook with a perfect performance from his costume to his stage presence, mannerisms and voice. The multitalented and statuesque actor, Paul Kehler is endearing and somewhat scary in the duel roles of Hook and Mr. Darling.There is flying through a lit up night sky, a giant croc and other great special effects. I especially loved how they portrayed Tinkerbell very cleverDo not miss this show!
